Has anyone tweeted the devs to ask if the asari clones are going to be worked on in a patch eventually?
Or why they all lost a foot in height during cryo? They used to be tall and graceful.
-(_MEA_)-
Good point about the clones. The patch notes don't address this.
It occurred to me while watching the Hellblade development video diaries and their face scanning work, whether Bio revisited this issue when upgrading the CC and possibly the botched cinematics. The video (dev diary 16) regarding Senua's face and the scanning work is quite interesting. Hell, the dev videos for the game shows what actually goes on behind the scenes in a video game. I wish Bio would do dev diaries.
The spoiler contains a link to dev 16 but the web page also shows other Hellblade diaries as well. If you are interested, here is the link:
At least they have the guts to keep upgrading the game with the patches. I really respect and appreciate that effort and care they are putting now rather to give up.
It's been hard for them and took a lot of time for them to get it working right, and they are still failing.
All the more reason to stick with it, it's a powerful engine and the more they work with it the more magic they will be able to do with it.
Oh yeah I'd say keep going, but if it becomes a major issue that sets back development time, then they might reconsider. If you compare DAI to MEA you can tell they improved, especially with realistic hair animations, but there's weird stuff that is in both DAI and MEA that seems to be a trademark of that engine. If they can find a way to fix it, then it should be fine.

I think if they give up it will be worse for them in long run. They can't afford to antagonize the rest of the people which enjoy the game.

Indeed. I was saying this with No Man's Sky in mind (radio silence, insufficent upgrades, etc.)

Yeah, the Hellblade stuff is very impressive. I can't wait to give that game a go!
It's a big shame that the patch doesn't address the Asari, but hopefully future ones will. Though I guess the devs won't know to do anything about it if we don't complain :/

yeah I think that's why they are still working on it. Because despite everything under the hood it's still an enjoyable game it's just got a few holes that need some polyfiller in them and it's good to see that they're trying at least to provide that. At the end of the day playing as Sara/Scott kind of feels like playing a young Captain Kirk/Janeway type character and it does lead to being kind of a cool story that way. Admittedly it's not turned out the way Bioware or we wanted but I'm glad they haven't given up and it shows to me that we can hopefully look forward to a better game hopefully next time out assuming things go more smoothly. Because the shifting about is what ultimately hurt MEA in the end
We’re continuing to improve weapon and power balance based on player feedback and our own tests.
In particular, we’ve addressed weapon bloom and accuracy. We’ve halved the maximum reticle size for automatic weapons and decreased the speed at which it reaches maximum size. We’ve improved accuracy for these weapons across the board.
Melee balance has also been addressed. We wanted melee builds to be viable for some kits at all difficulty levels, and to reduce reliance on the Juggernaut Shield. We’ve buffed base damage of nearly all melee attacks and introduced more passive bonuses to skill trees. We’ve reduced the melee bonus on the Juggernaut Shield to make it less of a required factor for these builds.
We’re addressing issues with teleporting enemies and reducing unfair sync kills. We paid particular attention to the Fiend, reducing its speed and preventing sprinting once it gets within 10 meters of a target. We’ve prevented enemies from sync attacking for two seconds after they jump up to a different level.
We’ve also made improvements to our pack offerings. For those of you looking to round out your roster, we introduced the Reserves Pack, a premium pack focused on characters. And if what you’re hoping for is that gun you’ve been missing, there’s now the Arsenal Pack. To speed up your refreshes between rounds, we’ve added a Jumbo Supply pack that contains five times as many consumables as a regular supply pack. Finally, you’ll now be able to purchase a Mod Pack from the item store, which contains a random weapon mod.
You can find a full list of the notes below. For notes in other languages, please check here.

Which shows a whole bunch of previously unknown alien races from the Milky Way, and as ME:Galaxy is set pre-ME2 then they can't be Lystheni, Kirik, Raloi or Virtual Aliens (the 4 background races existing that we have no art for).
I don't use twitter, but is there anyone here that would be kind enough to tweet one of the writers or producers to ask whether we will ever get some lore for these unknown races or art/lore for the background races like the Virtual Aliens and the Raloi? I don't use twitter for a variety of reasons, but if anyone could do this for me then I'd be really grateful.
Just wondering, has anyone been kind enough to tweet them about it? I'd write to contact@bioware.com, but I've never had a response to anything.

Playing Ryder is so much fun and I hope the stay. I don't think that changing protagonist is going to do anything good to next game. Especially that most people like Ryders.

Not that I'm not happy for anyone who likes what they do in patch 1.08, but this and the save mechanic are two important ones for me. Also dialogue that doesn't fit when you play a mission at a time the devs didn't expect.

yeah I'd love it too as the premise was good having a young gun taske charge and struggling to figure out whatt odo fo the bes tit kind of feels the same with DAI as well to a point acting as a chief representatibve for your group. But yeah I hope the whole premise isn't scrapped as it was a good idea it was moer the fact things got chaotic behind the scenes that ruined the games chances of being successful not so much the idea. Because the ideas themselves that went into the game worked really well they just needed more time to polish everything up if it had come out now or maybe end of this year instead of in March it wouldn't have had this many problems. Still whats done is done all we can do is hope they learn from the mistakes made maybe try to rectify it by delivering a couple of good DLC's, thankfully Bioware does have a knack for doing DLC's well. Then go into the next game without repeating these mistakes.
I too hope Ryder stays for the next game but right now given the reception MEA has had I'm not going to count on it. Mainly because right now I don't think we can accurately predict what's going on in EA's or Bioware's heads atm.
