ME: A and DA: I are the two taking a beating from some insecure fans that I always defend. Hell, any open world RPG is slaughtered on the internet if it doesn’t have CDPR on the case... I don’t get that fanbase at all.
I dont think many gets, but they are the most vocal ones, and I know several persons who have left the forum because of constant slanting of either MEASP or MEAMP.
Exactly and not to mention the personal insults and completely illogical arguments that got thrown at people as well. There is only so many times you can beat your head against a rock.
In the early videos (where the picture comes from) default Scott's face was longer, making him look taller, imo. I remember posting he reminded me a lot of Cullen in DAI. He ended up having a much rounder face - I assume to make him look younger, maybe? - which also makes him appear shorter. It's a subtle change but was very noticeable to me when I first loaded up the game. I was shocked at how different he looked, and ended up switching to Sara for my 10 hour trial.
Is there a mod that can provide a different default?

Yep, there is. It's called the character creator. You can access it at any time down in Lexi's medical lab.
The default appearances in ME:A have never bothered me simply because I use my own twins for every playthrough (storing them on the website and importing them from there). I found it really easy to create a decent looking character in ME:A; whereas, I never good make a decent looking BroShep in the MET (so I always used the default Sheploo there).

I was being facetious (notice the little devil at the end of the post). The CC in ME:A is at least a viable alternative to the default. In the Trilogy, it wasn't since the quality of the custom faces was significantly lower than the default face in the Trilogy. Bioware is unlikely to start allowing us to alter the default faces directly (I was given a long lecture by the community on the old BSN about why this is so).
Too bad default Scott didn't end up looking like that in the game. So much whinging about how Sara got "uglified" but no one seemed to care they did something similar with him.
Totally agree, I could have played that default Scott but the one in game is too goofy looking.
He doesn't look goofy to me...
I think that it's because of the downgrade it had in graphics. It's very noticeable here and in some older trailers, wish they could have keep them very close to how it looked originally.

About his work... Chris E'toile is a fantastic world builder, he is the one who made the geth so damn compelling, and had a hand in truly making ME special. It's a shame he has not found the success he deserves from his work.
