Your Best and Worst Memories of ME3 MP

My Best : First Plat Solo (I did not think I could do it till the end but I did)
My Worst : First (and Last to date) attempt to join a quick plat game on XBOX. So I equip my lvl 20 TGI - PPR 3 (not maxed on XBOX) Incendiary IV, AR III, CM IV, Geth Scanner V and join... only to get sync-killed by a Phantom the moment I got in the game . As the other player was a lvl 14 Geth Trooper or Engineer who already got killed before I got in the game, my overall plat experience on XBOX took about 15s including the loading screen and the mission failed screen. I decided it was too soon for me to go platinum on XBOX. 

I accidentally - as in, accident, unintentional, and stupid - took the Viper to Platinum (on my glitched GI, but that didn't help). Luckily the squad was quite good natured and carried my sorry butt, but I cringe every time I think of it. I need some uncut batarian ale now...

The first public gold game I remember heroing was right after Condor was released. It was Reapers, and I was HSol w Claymore. Winning was good, but that game was nearly 40min.

Worst: Hmm, probably lag stuff.

Best: I had many good moments, but here is the thing: My best thing from Me3MP was actually in another game - in Evolve.

I ran the Medic (Val) and it was a coop match. The monster bots were hardcoded to go for the medic instantly you had your healing up. Kinda annoying and there were two pricks shittalking me. The usual stuff. We got to the final stage where the monsters would attack some installation that had to be defended, one of the pricks tossed the dome which is a bad idea, because the AI refocusses on players then. I bided my time and watched them get stomped - when the dome ran out the monster legged it and I could teabag-revive Mr shittalker Mass Effect style.

He was quiet for the rest of the match.

Best: Getting through my first gold game without a BSNer there to carry me is up there pretty high. I was a Krogan Soldier w/Saber, and one of the randoms got on the mic and said "whoever that is using the Saber is doing WORK". It was Glacier/Geth and we finished the game somewhere in the 25 min range, but we made it.

Worst: Ran into a group of platinum pugs once, who, before I left their lobby, invited me to a party which for some reason I joined. They were on Rio/Reapers and needed a 4th. I hadn't been playing platinum that much but needed the credits. We get all the way to wave 11 and we at least get Mission Successful (I died on the way to LZ).

The 2nd game, they don't even try. I get left on wave 2 with a Juggernaut who can't stay alive no matter how many times I revive him, even in the box. He quits, then I obviously do too. Then the party disperses one by one...I ignored the FRs, logged off for the day. I swore off platinum pugging for a while (probably 2 years)

Upsides: The very first games even so as a diehard singleplayer. I first didn't want to touch that evil thing. Never thought that I would have so much fun with MP. Met people from all over the world. Some highlights with making friends, playing some games with Brojo and meeting BSNers in pugs followed. My first gold game - with my kroguard (what else ;P), and of course I had to clutch   - The day I maxed my manifest.

Downsides: Lag, the typicall bullshit and obvious flaws/bugs that never got fixed. Mouthbreathers, leechers, cheaters.

From a BSN perspective, the good old days comes to mind. Balancing discussions, what is overpowered, what needs a buff. All the drama! Mr. Fagnan, do the honors! Learn to play! Infiltrators! Reegar!! Lord Claymore!!! Reload canceling! Nuke all the things (FTL)!! Reload canceling! Gold is harder than platinum!! Reload canceling! Puggernauts and Sexbots!! Geth!

Ah, good times. *Drinks a beer and lays back*

Beating plat for the first time was fun. Games I played with friends from BSN were always a blast. Too much laughing.

Don't really have bad memories from playing. Remember being annoyed at joining a game on Hydra to find people out of the map. Left those clowns.

Best : all my fun with my friends.



I met so many people that I'm still friends with to this day and still talk to regularly. I generally feel like an underdog in multiplayer- my friends gave me confidence and I was given many compliments that made me blush! LOL. One of my friends- he was one of the best players I ever played with- he thought the game was "easy" even on Platinum and he could play any load out or class, he was head and shoulders better than me said I was the best team player he ever ever played with. Now, that seems like ridiculously faint praise, but it was very nice of him because at the time I thought that I wasn't good enough to play with him.
Biotic squads were are some of my best times in ME3 MP- super super fun boom booms.

Worst:

Meeting assholes in the wild on XBL.



The missile glitchers, the guys (and girls) that would get on mic to be abusive and yell, the insults if you didn't revive fast enough, ETC ETC. I really dislike meeting nasty people in lobbies and I would just leave.
Of course, also: LAG. Damn.

My best memory is our 2-hour plat.

Best: was the game with my closest game buddies that went weird, for some reason, early on wave 1. Every 5 seconds someone died, despite us being quite experienced at that point. We had such insane revive train that people started laughing uncontrollably everytime another one of us died yet again and from there it was even harder to revive and not die while laughing. It was such a genuinely wonderful moment.

Worst: was game with one of my friend who was notoriosuly underexperienced. He talked me to platinum game, which I don´t like and therefore don´t have lot of experience with. That game was so horrible, with everyone but one person on the floor, non stop. I was unable to get it together and was dying over and over and over again like the greenest noob, while the poor AIU guy was carrying us completely, even finishing several waves alone. It was the most embarassing match ever. I don´t even know why it went THAT wrong. To this day I still feel bad for that guy who finished it for us.
