Morrigan thread - "Tis cold in my tent, all alone..."

Playing through DAO again for the first time in a few years. I am falling for Morrigan all over again. By far my favorite character and love interest in fiction. Playing as a Dalish Warden this time which I feel fits the romance better than my previous playthroughs as a human noble.

Neat little colletion of not-often-heard Morrigan lines. I love her so much! I've got a Warden for her but he hasn't even made it to Ostagar yet. I'm gonna have their romance be more of a slow burn and not give in to her charms right away.

Anders says the Grey Wardens made him give up his cat because having a pet "makes you soft".

So I can only imagine what they think of the HoF starting a family with Morrigan. Plenty of whispers behind his back, I'm sure.

Hmm, DAO ends in 9:31 so I assume 9:32 is when Kieren was born. Trespasser occurs in 9:44 so he would be 12 during it.

Ah right. I think the wiki says he was born in 9:31, which doesn't make a lot of sense.... either way, by the time DA4 rolls around I imagine he'll have reached his teens if not adulthood.


Hmmmm... human Kieran is really a sweetie - he's very giggly and good-natured! - and I really like the idea of Morrigan caring for someone WITHOUT any additional motives involved. Buuut my canon has Kieran with an old god soul, because I think it's narratively interesting. Also, it highlights the differences between my Amell and my other protagonists... Hawke and Adaar would have some serious misgivings about that ritual, but Amell is very YOLO and a fan of morally ambiguous options in general.

Speaking of, in world states where he exists, do you think Kieran would become a shapeshifter like his mother? His dialogue implies he's a mage, so I wonder.

Makes sense! Wouldn't it be ironic if a kid who possibly used to house Urthemiel's soul could turn into a dragon?

Guys, help a fella. I've gotten back to the game after so many playthroughs, but on PC this time, but I can't recall if the relationship with Morrigan starts only after choosing to kiss her, randomly. I didn't want to miss dialogues that builds the bridge towards the romance too soon. If I remember right I can choose to kiss her after giving her the book, or is it better to before such quest? Just wanted to get most out of it. I'm in no hurry too.

Not to mention that simply being there is supposed to be painful for anyone who isn't an elf.
