Ghost's new album is sweet. Definitely continued in the direction they went on Meloria. I am digging it.



I've also come across a band from Portugal called Gaerea. I guess they are more black metal but have a pretty interesting approach to their style. They only have an EP from two years ago but they are about to release their debut full length album sometime this year. It's pretty rad!

Wasn't really aware of this thread since i'm really not into heavy metal....but i found this just digging around on the dark side of youtube....not sure if this is a song or not...but eh, i enjoyed the animation....funny stuff....i posted this in another thread, but seeing this now feels a bit more appropriate....

I've recently started listening to a lot more Doom/Psychedelic metal and I'm in love with the entire genre. It's really cool to see that a lot more bands have such beautiful female vocals now, which really ties in with the overall vibe of the genre. 

Lots of new stuff coming out soon. High On Fire have a new song which is a tribute to Lemmy \m/\m/


Soulfly released a new one too. The song is kinda meh but hopefully the rest of the album has some killer tunes.

So new Behemoth coming soon. It's been over four years since their last album. I'm not really sure how I feel about this song yet. I think I like it but it's not really grabbing me by the throat like some of their older stuff. Perhaps after several more listens and it will grow on me.

On another note, Nike's new add slogan has been creating endless memes applying to other things. One I saw earlier involved the album cover of Mayhem's 'Dawn of the Black Hearts' which is the infamous photo of their singer's corpse after killing himself. Yep, someone slapped the "Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything" on it and it was actually quite clever. For obvious reasons I can't post the picture but I couldn't help but laugh upon seeing it because of how absurdly awful it was.

Watched their new video just earlier today. This is rad and totally like it better than the previous singles. Very different indeed. I think I remember reading something a while back that Nergal stated there would be more post-punk influence on the new record. I can hear a hint of it in Bartzabel.
