PS4 pro gets the 4k (2k upscaled but still) output out of the box WITHIN THE SAME DISK done though maybe 2 lines of coding to differentiate between one setting for the PS4 and the Pro settings for the Pro...and it's too hard to do the same for the scorpio? It's the same goddamn situation. Hell some devs are already working on these patches Bioware has one ready for PS4 pro (not even a parch mind you all copies of MEA will be identical on the disk it is just a settings issue) But it's too much to ask to do the same to futureproof the Xbox version?

It's possible they don't know because Microsoft don't have all the answers yet. Unlike the PS4 and Pro, the Scorpio hasn't been released yet, so there is no real way to do develop something for it unless Microsoft gives them some sort of dev platform to work with.

Scorpio is just an Xbox One with more resolution options. They might patch in better textures and lighting for Xbox One scorpios around release to cash-in on launch sales but it's a rather trivial priority.
Bringing ME:A to Switch is a completely different ball game. If there is one thing EA should have learned by now it's that the target audience just isn't there on Nintendo platforms for late ports of third party games to justify the additional production, manufacturing and logistical costs.

But yeah I agree the switch port would be a nightmare especially since apparently the docked version of the game has better resources than the mobile version

Come on why in hell would MS contractually force them not to say they will add the same features they are adding for the ps4 pro version? Unless Sony is paying them NOT to say it because they are feeling that it would steal the thunder of that 4k tech demo. Eh maybe things will change by E3, by then they will start talking about the first piece of story dlc for Andromeda and maybe they will do what Bioware always does and show it on the more powerful hardware.

Right now, all that they're worrying about is shipping it. yeeeah...no Remember what happened with ME1 in pc and them never fixing ANY of the issues in it AT ALL including the the textures issues? I'd rather be sure they are working on this patch now given their track record.

Mind telling me how I'm putting words in your mouth? whoops, I thought you said the game not them My bad Anyways...yes, and it is NOT just ME1 ME2 on ps3, Omega on all platforms, the buggy, never fixed import system on ME2 (remember conrad verner For instance), the BSOD during the Lazarus project reanimation in ME2 that plagued all NG+ runs in large quantities... There is more really but yeah...very poor track record Not to mention that they have a VERY funny idea of "fixing"...just look at the extended cut that was supposed to fix the ending in ME3...

All those issues you list are just reasons for them to focus on getting the game right for the available platforms as they currently exist. There is no point preparing something in March for a console that might not be here til December, when they could (and should) be working on finalising other issues with the game. I strongly suspect that they will support the Scorpio. Whether they do it as a patch or as a physical re-release is a different question. I agree that the latter would be a money grab but not surprising. We're probably talking about an 8-9 month delay between the release of MEA and the release of the Scorpio so I kinda understand why they're not doing anything about it this far out. EDIT: There's also the issue of financial backing. I suspect MEA will sell very well, but in the event that it flops EA probably wouldn't want BW wasting time and resources in updating the game purely for the Scorpio.
