Congratulations! The weight of the world has been lifted from your shoulders! (At least until you have to defend it...) What's your degree in? Thank you! And yes, I try not to think too much about defending the whole thing in a few weeks. The hardest part is over. And I thought my field of study would be obvious (because of my signatures) but maybe not. ^^ It's Library Science! In the word of my favorite philosopher - Homer Simpson: "Doh!" I can imagine that's one field that has morphed beyond recognition compared to what libraries were doing 30 years ago!

Played some more DA I and met up with Blackwall i'm almost complete when it comes to my companions. And then i sided with the Mages i don't why but i almost always side with the Mages. After that i did a few more side quests and then i did 'In Your Heart Shall Burn' i love that quest because it means i go to Skyhold and i love that place for me that's home in Inquisition. And it opens up more possibilities as well. Everything seems weighted in favor of helping the mages. You go to Val Royeaux and Lord Seeker Lucius immediately turns you down. Except for Ser Barris, who seems like a nice, pious fellow, the Templars seem like thugs. Then you go to Redcliffe and find out that the Venatori have laid claim to the mages under mysterious circumstances. Every mage you meet - except for Linea - seems to be nice and want to be free of the "Vints." You even have two Vints - Dorian and Felix - who give you insights into what you'll face. Unless you're playing a human warrior or rogue who's suspicious of magic, who wouldn't choose the mages? It's hard not to choose the mages after visiting Redcliffe. To balance things out, they should've had some sympathetic Templars sending messages to Cullen or something asking for help. Oh well...

To balance things out, they should've had some sympathetic Templars sending messages to Cullen or something asking for help. Oh well... You are right, all is pointing towards mages, you have sympathetic side characters - even mages helping at the crossroads. They could have put some helping templars in there too. Apart from Ser Baris in Val Royeaux and Lysette in Haven I can't remember a single sympathetic templer in that game (ok- Cullen, but technically, he is not a templar anymore) and Evangeline is mentioned, but that's it. You have a lot of really nice and sane mages around. It as like that in the other games too: DAO: helping the templars means killing all mages (and loosing Wynne, my second favorite companion after Zevran) and I guess, most people will at least take a look into the tower before making that decision. DA2: Meredith is crazy as hell and obviously is using Anders terror act as a cheap excuse to get rid of her mages, while Orsino at least tries to reason. And most of the nice templars are dead by the time, you have to decide, but there are still some 'normal' persons on the mage side alive like Sol, Alain or Bethany (if playing a non mage Hawke). I had wish for the option that Cullen and some other not so crazy templars ask for help in stopping Meredith killing spree.

Restarted Origins with my canon Warden so I could experience his story again. His name is Yuri Brosca, his sister is an angel, and he is Very Grumpy. Today he got called a worthless waste of space by his alcoholic mother (and everyone else) and had a heart-to-heart chat with Leske about how Life Sucks And Then You Die. Just another cheery day in Dust Town. I really love the dwarf casteless origin. It sets such interesting notes for the rest of the game. ....And you have an excuse for sweet tattoos. I really love the dwarf casteless origin. It sets such interesting notes for the rest of the game. ....And you have an excuse for sweet tattoos.
Me too. Cousland will always be special but both Brosca and Tabris are excellent origins. They really give the game a different feel, especially when you go back home.
Brosca is absolutely fabulous! I like most of the origins though. The only onme I haven't been able to get into is the mage. Maybe it's the robes. The ugly effing robes. Nice to see the DC getting some love! It's a hugely underrated origin. I love Rica and Leske, bonding with Morrigan and Zev over your crappy childhoods, having Bhelen as the brother-in-law from hell, returning to Orzammar where people still shit on you... Plus Duncan has the best intro here, I think. Douchecanoe: This man is no warrior! He is casteless, rejected by the ancestors! His very footsteps pollute the Stone! He has no place here! Duncan: Except as your champion. sick burn, brah

Viv showed the family of the late Duke Bastien Skyhold and after that, she gave me a ring. What a great scene, I missed it before, because did get the wyvern quest so late in game that I only did get the poor guy dying and a conversation about the events with Viv afterwards before I had to go and face Cory. I really loved that scene

Dwarf commoner is also the only Origin Duncan gives a gift to. A weapon. He was something along the lines of, "you've never had a good weapon before, so here is this one."
I found it majorly sweet. Probably only Origin I ever felt a connection to Duncan before he died.

Finished JOH and was puzzled by a slight difference in the Ameridan dialogue for several seconds; the Inq introduced Cass as a Seeker. Then I realised what made it different; Cass had not discovered the truth on the rite of tranquility. * So I have three zones not touched; Crestwood, Emprise du Lion and Forbidden Oasis. The latter is always the last because shards. Out of curiosity, has anyone opened all the areas of Crestwood before sealing the Rift at the old village? I always do it first since the atmosphere is so dreary and wet. The perpetual fog also makes it hard to see objects in the distance. * I'm also a little down. If DA4 is to happen, it'll likely appear 2020 or later. I shouldn't be surprised. I waited seven years and more for the sequel to TLJ and that came out adequate in gameplay and a knife in the guts with the cliffhanger. I know the DA dev team will produce something good in gameplay. I just hope they resolve the second part of the story nicely.

I've seen nothing definitive; mostly speculation based on how long it takes BW to come out with sequels. Three years seems to be the magic number but nothing has been announced for 2017. (When was the new Mass Effects game's release date announced?) Dragging it out to 2020 seems a very bad idea. People will have forgotten about the game by then. My guess - and just a guess - is 2018 with an announcement in Fall 2017.

No official word but the devs have said, via Twitter (check up the DA Twitter thread), that the DA team is presently split up between two productions; MEA and the secret IP. Those not involved seemed to be in pre-preparation; deciding / planning DA4. So the speculation is that if they show something / make an announcement this year, they're going to need at least three years to do it. Hence, 2020 or later. I also caught something in the Solasmance thread that the devs like this; canon maybe?

I started yet another female elf mage run. Mostly, I was just inspired by an image I first saw at Faces of Gaming and later found the sliders here: www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/44/?I liked her pixie-like look. I wanted her to be more "elfy" but not ugly. I felt my last elven females may have looked too human. By contras Here's what I was able to produce using the sliders: Not quite as "pixie-like" as the original author's creation, but not too bad. I wish there was an easier way to copy these things. I'm not sure what I want to do on this PT. Either a completionist run (I've already collected all the mosaic pieces for "The Fall" or an abbreviated "phoray run." At this point, I've completed all major tasks in the Hinterlands and recruited the mages - AGAIN! (Hard to imagine a Dalish elven mage choosing otherwise.) For romance, I've decided to hit the heart button for everyone and see which one culminates into a full romance first. (With all the chatting with companions required, probably not an "abbreviated phoray run"! )

Towards the bigger ears, the nose bridge, strong tattoos. And I don't make huge eyes (they seem to indicate an innocence my elves don't always have) but do toggle it up 2-3 times in size. My recent PT has a coined name now? I feel special! But I talked sooooo much with everyone. Giselle and Corb the Bartender probably thought they were one of my Advisors and probably gave Scott Harding mixed signals, what with all the visiting I gave even them. Even got all of Krem's quests and saved the Sutherland crew. The only "story" I missed out on is what you can only read in codexes anyway. I'm probably never going I do all the shards. Haha

If I would go for the first romance available, I would mostly end with Blackwall or Solas, they are the first to make advances, even if I don't flirt with them. I wish, I'll be as organised as you and other players and finish one playthrough before starting another, but I often have 3-4 playthroughs simultaneous, that's why it take me so long to finish one

(Except for Cass; she doesn't do girls!) I think after recruiting the mages, both Cullen and Sera will quickly come to nothing. The race will be between Solas, Blackwall, and the ever versatile Josephine. I try to visit all the companions after every major adventure and hit every heart. We'll see which one commits first!

He's an advisor, doesn't even have points Prior to Solas, I never did any of the female to male companion/advisor romances, so I don't know; all unknown territory to me. I just know that after having the mages join the Inquisition on favorable terms for the mages, Cullen, IB, and Sera disapproved while Solas & Blackwall approved. What do you mean: "...doesn't even have points?" Is he a sure thing like Josephine? tacsear So, what do you think about Stolen Throne so far?

Kill every two legs marked as red in the Hinterlands. Surprisingly, I'm hardly seeing this item for requisitions in the last 5-6 PTs. I always went "sh*t" years ago when I did get it and kept an eagle eye on the number I acquired. The minute I have everything, I turned it in immediately. This was before the devs changed the definition of valuables / loot in the inventory.

This was before the devs changed the definition of valuables / loot in the inventory. I often have trouble finding those to fill that specific requisition. Got lucky in my current Champion run though. I'm about to start the Descent, but thinking a bit on strategy on fighting tougher enemies in the lower levels. Those sha-brytol and rock guardian final boss especially. Last time I beat this DLC, I used hidden blade masterworks; cleansing and demon slaying runes; Viv and Dorian each had winter, lightning and fire magic; fully upgraded potions and lifeward amulets. Also not sure who'll be in the party. I don't have Vivienne on my roster, so Dorian is the only mage. I kinda want to take Cole, because he's a DW Assassin and Alex can take care of herself in fights.

Although Cullen may verbally disagree with siding mages in a scene, he has no points one way or the other. He is a sure thing, just like Josephine. He locks in at the chess scene. I proved this by trying to simultaneously date him and Solas at the same time. Hahaha

Leli acts like a pitbull to protect Josephine.

If I kissed Solas in the Fade, then Cullen rebuffed my advances in the chess scene. So, I reloaded. Did the chess scene, then the kiss scene with Cullen. then went for my Fade Dream with Solas, and the option to flirt wasn't even there- like I was a guy or something, it just wasn't an option. Since I was ultimately trying to romance Solas, I reloaded and just did the Fade Kiss Scene and moved on with the PT.
