Yeah, Senya doesn't really have an "In Uthenara" or "The Dawn Will Come" scene. She just sings a couple of bars from Zakuulan folk songs a couple times during KotFE. It's her endearing character trait, or some such.

That new companion, what's her name(?), the Emperor' #23156 girlfriend does the singing for you. I have no recollection, but it was there... somewhere. Oh you meant Senya. I would say she was the Emperor's wife even though he didn't marry her. Much like Chani, the unacknowledged wife of Muad'Dib but every Fremen knew who she was. Senya gave the Emperor three children, tried to bring them up properly, keep them together. That's not girlfriend. To me, anyway. She doesn't do the singing for the protag, why should she do that unless it was at a party / gathering? I never heard her sing at such an event. The only time I heard her, it was to help her son, to let him know she's there for him, to give him strength to fight against his injuries, to help him remember himself. I don't mind the singing in DA. The only one that's really odd is Leliana's song even though I like it.
* The Inq was nearly zapped by lightning at Crestwood. The screen just lit up and I was going; wtf was that? *blinking in bemusement.* Remember what Leliana said about the song? That an elven woman sang it to Leliana when her mother died. I always felt that the song should've been sung over the body of a dead warden who made the US. From its words, it's pretty close to a death dirge. As it is, it's an odd but fun moment in DAO.

I don't think I'm ever going to make a Inq mage; I really dislike the light armor for the Inq though funny enough, there's a BM version but the light pauldrons only show up how horribly thin an elf is (despite the arm mod). The warrior pauldrons padded out those arms, make them much thicker. I'm just going to take over Solas now and then because he has really good aoe spells and he's not really using them to better effect. * Writing wanderings... Eyes. There were always eyes. Goggling, reverent, pleading, questioning, derisive, hostile. The latter mostly from a single pair that focused on her like a bloodthirsty archer. Chancellor Roderick. Elrae didn't have to fake the slump of exhaustion in her shoulders as she rode through the gates of Haven. The usual crowd of pilgrims lined the dirt road. Brave hands reached out to touch her greaves, the owners not seeming to mind the encrusted mud and dried blood on them. Most just bow their heads. She was too tired to do more than to touch the few hands that reached up to her. Several weeks before, she would have stood up on the stirrups and told them she was not the Herald of Andraste. No matter what she said, they didn't seem to hear so she had given up. If they thought they would be blessed, she obliged them. If only to assure them their pilgrimage had not been in vain, that they had seen what they had come to see. The soldiers at the inner gates closed ranks after the party passed them, preventing the pilgrims from going further in. A blessed relief. They stopped at the stables and dismounted. Her knees nearly buckled when she slid off. "I'll take him," Cassandra said, taking hold of the reins of Elrae's gelding. "Get some food and rest, we'll see you tomorrow." "Thanks," Elrae muttered as she stiffened her legs with effort. The walk to the house allocated to her seemed to take forever. Laren was already waiting for her when she opened the door. Dropping into a chair with a groan, she eyed the bed longingly. For once she didn't demur when the woman knelt to take off her boots and wiped her feet. With brisk efficiency, the armor was unbuckled and hung on the armor stand. The sword placed on wall hooks. Then a bowl of stew was thrust under her nose. "I don't want it," Elrae said. She had no appetite and the bed loomed large in her eyes. "You have to eat. Look, it's mostly vegetables and a bit of meat, just the way you like it. It's not much, " Laren insisted when Elrae shook her head and made to leave the chair. "I'll feed you if you don't...or I'll just kneel outside the house until you do." "You wouldn't!" Elrae said in horror. "I would," Laren said firmly. "Even half a bowl is good for you," she said persuasively. Heaving a heavy sigh, Elrae took the bowl from her. "I'll not forget this," she threatened tiredly. A faint smile twitched Laren's lips. "Eat," she ordered. After watching for a while to make certain Elrae was eating, she rolled up the dirty socks and put them by the door with the boots. She gave the armor a quick examination, assessing where repairs were needed. Then a wetting of a towel in a basin which she exchanged for the empty bowl from Elrae who silently swiped at her face before staggering from the chair and dropping awkwardly on to the bed, out like a candle flame blown by the wind. Humming under her breath, Laren straightened the elf before covering her with a blanket. Tossing the towel back into the basin, she turned to the armor and made another assessment before bringing out the repair kit and cleaning cloths. It was her duty to look after the Herald's well being and she would make sure the armor never failed her.

deadlydwarf, dang I got stuff mixed up about the Qunari. I'm getting forgetful. It also doesn't help that the devs twiddled with the Qunari. The horn ones are called the Qunari, people of the Qun. Non horn races who follow the Qun are called Viddathari. I got this dialogue from IB just now and went; ok, I must have heard that dozens of time and mixed it up with something else. Anyways, qunari, still despised. Give me a TV like IB any time.

You probably know this already, but you can get your mage into medium or heavy armor by using Snoeffleur leather for the main slot in medium armor or Silverite in heavy armor. Those two materials remove class restrictions. I just used Snoeffleur leather to see if it would allow my elf mage to wear crafted elf rogue armor and it worked fine. (It means I will be able to have my elven mage wear something other than the hideous battlemage mail armor when fighting dragons!) As to overly skinny elves, I thought the mods to give them thicker arms and a more athletic body worked pretty well. (Not using it this PT since I wanted Iona to be more "pixie-like" and, in any case, she's always wearing elf armor which would negate the body mods.)

A couple quick questions...just completed investigating Din'an Hanin, the Tomb of the Emerald Knights in the Emerald Graves. You get an account of the events leading to the Exalted March on the Dales. But what was in there of interest to the Venatori? Also, I let my judgements accumulate. I haven't done any of them. Any suggestions? I've heard if you put several Venatori prisoners in there, they get into arguments with each other. At very least, if I put a couple of people away, it would give the jailer something to do. 1. You know, I never knew, that I could visit the prisoners, I only discovered the prison in Skyhold a short while ago. Please share what you learn about bickering Venatori, sounds like fun . I did my judgements with Riya already, but LIa and Aylin haven't judged anyone yet.
About the Emerald Graves: I only did it once so far and I don't remember. But generally, the Venatori were searching elvhen ruins for artifacts like the one, Solas gave Cory, maybe they looked for that there too? I just discovered my love for dual wielding rogues in DAI, so I made Aylin dw. It is so much fun. I love dw rogues in DAO and DA2, but so far, they didn't get me in DAI. I guess, it's a bit harder on low level. Aylin is now level 9 and has access to some nice feats. 2. And completly off topic, but I started watching a SciFi show, called 'The Expanse' (great show btw) and in episode 1 of season two there is a soldier girl (Bonny or something like that) who looked exactly like my Shephard - it's eerie. My Shep has a bit more darker skin and she is smaller than Shephard, but still, the face is nearly identical.Explore Skyhold and you'll find both the prison and the wine cellar where all the bottles of Thedas are kept! And if you imprison people, that's where they go. Once I sent Alexius to prison and when I went to see him in the prison, he just stood there silent. It was kind of sad and I stopped putting people in prison. Then I heard in a post somewhere that if you had the Tevinters in prison, they'd get into arguments over who screwed up the most or something like that. I just put all three in prison - Alexius, Erimond, and Servis. But when I went down to the prison, no prisoner banter. Alexius and Erimond were recognizable in their cells. The third prisoner looked nothing like Servis. He seemed to be just some generic man. I went back and re-did the judgements. That said, I just looked it up online and saw the following: dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Skyhold_prisoner_dialogueApparently, certain combos will produce banter. Erimond doesn't appear to be one of them, though, so perhaps that ruined the chemistry?

That's some great banter. It looks like if I ever fire up DAI for another PT, I'm going to have to forfeit agents in favor of putting them all in prison to hear those lines!

Actually, no. 95% of my previous PTs are human female warriors because I have very little interest in playing a mage. I read about certain mats removing class restrictions but they were more of a glance than a read absorbing what the posters were saying. I am using the athletic bod and arms, not the thick arms mod because, as I said, the warrior / rogue BM armor made the arms thicker. On account of the gambeson, no doubt. In the scout armor at Skyhold, they don't look very skinny either. But when I flipped through the mage version while making armor for companions, the arms look like weeds. Snowfluer and silverite are T3 mats which means an elven mage Inq will be stuck in silly looking armor until she hits 16. *sigh* Honestly, I wish they made better armor designs for mages. If it has to be robes / light armor, make it a nice sharp looking flaring robe or something. I wouldn't mind examples like these : * Whoever designed the mage robes for DAI need to do better. *wake up* !!! Regards prisoners. You saw Alexius? I never see anybody in the cells at Skyhold. I remember checking, back then, when it was available. I still make a run through it in this PT and I saw nobody.

As to those T3 materials, once you get to Skyhold you can start Exalted Plains and get ahold of Snouffleur leather. You can also open up Empris de Leon early just to forage for Silverite. I do agree with you about the mage outfits. I'm surprised they didn't make any of the Tevinter mage robes available to the PC. Those, at least, look reasonable. Instead, they make GW gear available which neither the PC nor the other companions should wear since they aren't GWs. They make Orlesian army gear available even though no one is Orlesian. And don't get me started about the Qunari or Avvar gear... Do you have GOTY? The Dragon Armor is better than most of the stuff available for mages. The strange thing about DAI is that the companion version of various armors look much better than the PC versions. (Except maybe for Dorian's togas...)

So as what will come as a surprise to no one I decided to let Abelas survive this run through and did the rituals. I actually took a few screenshots this time around so: Blue outfits!I decided to let Morrigan drink from the well this time since 2/3 companions wished for her to do it, including Cassandra, who still got an approval drop. WTF Cass. Later on on the battlements Cass asked Varrys what will become of them if she becomes Divine. Varrys said they will always have each other, even though I'm pretty sure their romance cannot really continue. I couldn't bring myself to have him tell her to refuse, such a selfish thing for him to say and Varrys is just not like that. They shared a momentAs Varrys ran through the main hall on route to the garden he spied Bianca. I decided to do this quest with Varric if only to get the Wicked Grace scene afterwards. Seven playthroughs and I still really dislike her. After the WG scene Varrys chased Morrigan in to the fade and came face to face with one of my most favourite characters in this series: She's so BADASS
Last but not least, Varrys sat down to judge everyone in one go. As Varrys is Andrastian I had him forgive Ser Ruth, which I had not done before but everybody else's judgments I'd seen before. I OF COURSE recruited Servis as always. Hi Bioware we need a LI like this character in DA4, k? So...this just leaves the end game and Tresspasser to go for this playthrough. I will skip the Frostback Basin - but not sure about Descent. Does anyone know if there are extra surprise scenes or dialog if your Inky is a dwarf?

Today, Iona went to the Cradle of Sulevin to recover the famed elven blade. Also, recovered the last piece of the "Slaves are Freed" mosaic. That makes four completed. As always, the completed image is hard to decipher and Gatsy's write-ups on them are way too wonky to be easily understood. His "good, dwarven perspective" on the mosaics is more like a "drunken, dwarven perspective." Not sure what BW was aiming for here... Also went to the Emprise de Leon and claimed Suledin Keep and cleared Sahrnia Quarry. I took Vivienne with me and found Knight Enchanter much lamer than I remembered. She's no good if left to the AI. KE's melee ability is much less than that of Arcane Warrior in DAO. It's perhaps best when used close-in against Dragons. I definitely like Necromancer and Rift Mage better. Here's a question that's probably been asked before: who's this strange fellow in green? He has a tripod on his back and seems to be wearing goggles of some sort.

The strange thing about DAI is that the companion version of various armors look much better than the PC versions. (Except maybe for Dorian's togas...) Mine isn't the GOTY version because I pre-ordered DAI. I got the DA armor all the same; free DLC, I think. I can go with the DA light armor (it's a T2, I checked just now), it looks better than all the others on an elf. I have forgotten about it. Paradoxically, there will be complaints if the warden / orlesian / avvar / qunari gear aren't available. Despite awareness that these are specifically designed for certain races / establishment. I often end up using the Orlesian helm on Cass because there're very few likable options for her; I consider the Inq helm restricted to the Inq. The moment I got the wreath at EdL, she's the only one to wear it. Here's a question that's probably been asked before: who's this strange fellow in green? He has a tripod on his back and seems to be wearing goggles of some sort. Steampunk! I don't think the char is a boy because she looks like Sutherland's squire.

So...this just leaves the end game and Tresspasser to go for this playthrough. I will skip the Frostback Basin - but not sure about Descent. Does anyone know if there are extra surprise scenes or dialog if your Inky is a dwarf?
Yes, there are a few dwarf-specific lines/options. Spoilered in case you haven't played Descent before:
The Inq. will also have a bit to say on translating the carvings.

Found the last song for collections. Only need to finish the ring puzzle quest in the first part of the Deep Roads. Then farm the perma-respawning mobs in the Exalted Plains ruin to the west of the Dalish camp, in the off chance that one may drop a malachite.

Oh, look, you guys remember better than I do where there was singing :)
I've finished the Act I with my mage character, Blaze, but lost the interest in playing the game further. I resolve the quests in an opposite way than in the first play through, use all the different responses, but it feels all the same, and I am too bored. Also, the amount of flirts is so low, and there is only one way Hawke's flirt, and after the first play-through I just don't feel that's the way I'd like her to court Fenris... anyway. I think I am done for now with the DA series. Just ordered Andromeda finally. Gonna think if I want to take a break altogether, play a bit of ME3MP or chill out in MET or Jade Empire. DA is just not doing it for me...
Have fun playing!

I, too, think, he could be one of Sutherlands group, but what the hell is he doing in the ground behind Iona? Did he try to check her out? Creepy, but funny too The banter between the prisoners are great. I normally don't sentence anyone to prison, I let them do something useful and Erimond get killed (not risking letting that nasty piece of work loose again)

deadlydwarf I'm pretty sure the dwarf in green is Luka (wearing the Crack Alchemist Rigging) from the multiplayer part of dragon age. Like 99% It's definitely not Sutherland's Rat, since she hasn't got them cute buck teeth.

What I like in this story despite this impotence, that, for example in Origins and Inquisition you got similar ends, here seems the game mocks this fact. Hawke can change the companions' reactions, s/he can get different plus sidequest (A Noble Agenda – Mage side), and can became viscount (Templar side) or fugitive (Mage side), but finally s/he can't save Kirwall (probably this would be the main goal). Have fun you too!

There're always three of the MP char standing around near the grating on the ramparts.

Never played the DAI MP so I didn't know this char existed. There're always three of the MP char standing around near the grating on the ramparts. There's a section in WoT2 on the MP characters that gives a bit of their backstory. Although, it calls them "agents" not "MP characters." Some of the people used in WT ops are those agents.

Just take a break; try something different: ME, TR, or whatever else interests you. My guess is that Thedas will call to you again even before DA4 comes out!
