Oh, look, you guys remember better than I do where there was singing I've finished the Act I with my mage character, Blaze, but lost the interest in playing the game further. I resolve the quests in an opposite way than in the first play through, use all the different responses, but it feels all the same, and I am too bored. Also, the amount of flirts is so low, and there is only one way Hawke's flirt, and after the first play-through I just don't feel that's the way I'd like her to court Fenris... anyway. I think I am done for now with the DA series. Just ordered Andromeda finally. Gonna think if I want to take a break altogether, play a bit of ME3MP or chill out in MET or Jade Empire. DA is just not doing it for me... Have fun playing! You certainly gave it the ol' college try and made it farther into the DA series than I did with ME! I'd still recommend taking a shot at Inquisition at some point; perhaps after you do Andromeda a couple times and need an ME break. It'll be interesting to see how Andromeda turns out!

DA2 is a fine game, just does not have the replayability for me like MET does where everything changes so much depending on the choices you make. As for DaI, I do not want to play a BioWare's game I won't like. The new IP is due a year after Andromeda, so I think I will just leave the DA setting at this point.

I ran Varrys through the end game -
Cory kept trying to bind Cole, and then later at the party Cole was beaming about how he couldn't be bound anymore. Bless.
The ending with Cassandra being named Divine was bittersweet. Is it possible for her to even refuse? Varrys will definitely not disband the Inquisition and will serve Divine Victoria this run through.
I got the glitch for the first time in the slides where Morrigan leaves Skyhold on her own without Kieran. And now the credits are rolling with no music. So weird.
Next up: Descent and then Trespasser.

@domi What do you mean, more flirts? Am I missing flirt opportunities in ME? I flirted with Thane once, he said interesting. I flirted with Thane twice, he called me siha I flirted with Thane thrice, he gave me his full back story and we held hands. I flirted with Thane the 4th time, we made Post Save the World Vacation Plans. I did a bit of Jacob and Garrus, they mirrored this. And it's not that you can flirt differently at all o_O I think the way Shepherd came on to all three of those options, there was only one dialogue choice. And none of them came onto Shepherd, player had to initiate. Kelly sort of flirts with Shepherd even if they don't flirt back. Not like all three options of DAO or Anders and Isabella of DA2 and no one hits on you in DAI. Well... I guess Sera, if you're a dwarf/Qunari sort of comes close. In DA2, I'm pretty sure you can flirt with nearly all of them during their recruitment mission; if I recall correctly, pretty much any significant conversation with each one has a flirt option, that can be carried over years. And when the romance happens with Fenris and Anders, it's not sudden- they've been reacting to your flirts for a while. LOL I think it's funny. My playing ME2 makes Domi want to play Mass Effect. Domi playing Dragon Age made me want to play Dragon Age. We both have our favorites, quite obviously!

I just started DA2 last night. I transferred the DAO game that I completed the other day.
One thing that still gets me is I can't choose to have killed. I'm playing as a mage. Its too bad Bethany can't live and Carver be killed. Oh well. I'm playing a sarcastic Hawke.

Just picked up my Dalish Elf Jaheira playthrough after i lost interest 6 months ago. Just had Leliana kill some assassins & destroy a contract because she certainly wasn't wasting the time on the roundabout way Josephine wanted things resolved. Listened disinterestly to Cass as she droned about the Chantry, not catching on that i'm a dalish elf who follows the Elven Pantheon not her maker. Crafted a sword named after the old god of beauty. Also went out wandering closing rifts & exploring some elven ruins.

You certainly gave it the ol' college try and made it farther into the DA series than I did with ME! As for DaI, I do not want to play a BioWare's game I won't like. The new IP is due a year after Andromeda, so I think I will just leave the DA setting at this point. See, I have those problems with ME. I really love the story idea, I even was going so far at one point to compare it to a friend to Babylon 5 with all the intergalactic intrigues and races who have problems with each other. The tension between the Turians and Earth even reminds me a bit of the ones between humans and minbari in B5. Plus you have mysterious old and powerful races,. So yeah, definitve a good scifi setting - and I don't compare something easily with Babylon 5, the best tv show ever made. But I can't play ME very long, for once, that soldierness of Shephard is going on my nerves. She is always so damn serious, even when I pick the answers, I think could be funny. I always end up thinking, what Hawke would have made with that line . And I hate the Mako missions with a passion, I hate the Mako, I hate those planets with the sandworms from Dune and I think,, I will skip the rest of those so called survey missions and shoot the Mako from space. Plus, I would have loved to be able to play a non human. And now I learned, that in Andromeda, you are forced to play a human again. That was a real bummer for me. But I think, I will play ME further (I don't know about Andromeda, but I want to know, what happens to my Shephard, maybe she even will learn some humour, who knows. Plus Garrus romance ) Wow, I didn't want to write such a long post, but I didn't want you to think, that I hate ME, so I put in my pros for the game too. ANyway - have fun and don't be a stranger in this part of the board

After clearing Sahrnia Quarry and Sulevin Keep, Iona tied up some loose ends. Through evidence gathered at Sahrnia Quarry and the Emerald Graves, they tracked down Samson's headquarters and found his Tranquil, Maddox, and the tools with which Maddox made Samson's red lyrium armor, though Samson himself had fled. Iona and her team returned to the Storm Coast to shut down Red Templar red lyrium operations there. They also killed a Vinsomer dragon and then killed darkspawn and sealed there tunnels. Elsewhere, they commenced operations in the Hissing Wastes where Venatori and Red Templars were raiding tombs, this time not of ancient elves but of ancient dwarves.

Mucked around in the character creator for a bit, but only made horrors. Did get a kick out of "You think I did this? To myself?" line. Also finished my testing of what happens if you don't answer Varric/Solas in the chat after the three campfire shades for all the races. If anyone is curious: Qunari - Varric: Seems you're as talkative as the rest of your kind, though. Human - Cassandra: There is no point in asking, Varric Elf - Solas: It is silence, then. As you wish. Dwarf - Varric: I'll take that as a yes. I'm so pleased.
It was not very exciting. Still, I did like Varric's tone for the dwarf. Also the Mako is the best. Team Mako, all the way.

Just to to keep it OT.
Went to HW and ran into lots of RTs. Out of like 15 encounters, only one is venatori. I supposed the RTs ate the venatori.

Entirely possible. There are notes floating around from the venatori mages freaking out about the RTs, finding them creepy, etc. It's bad enough they've probably never seen/been around "real" Templars before (the normal kind) but now they have to work with those freaks? Man, Cory must have promised them the moon for them to make nice with their nemeses...eses.

I've been meaning to bring this up but keep forgetting. I have the Brand schematic even though I did not get all the five harlequin. This is due to a mod, I can't recall which one but it ended up in the schematic collection. The stats is super poor for a T3 sword. Is this even right? it deals elemental dmg. Has anyone used it?

I swore at my Dalish elf Shaeli because she's really reached the epitome of not doing what the hell I wanted her to. I wanted her to romance Solas. She kissed him, then was like, "Nah, Blackwall." I figured okay, she'll stick with him, then. She hit it twice, then after his personal quest she was like, "Nah, Iron Bull." I think she's going to end up with Cullen. I also thought, since I've revived her playthrough after a long hiatus, that surely since she can be so nice, she'd been encouraging Leliana away from being hardened. Holy mother of fuck, I was SO. WRONG. Leliana went through a long list of evil stuff Shael encouraged her to do. My jaw dropped. I thought you were just a sweet flirt, but you're actually a ruthless heartbreaker! Well, she LOOKED sweet, anyway. This bitch took on a life of her own. I kind of hate and love it. Goddammit, I knew Murder Pope would be scary, but I had no idea. I mean, every time I talk to her I'm screaming internally in fear. It's terrifying, and awesome. But she'd never go for Viv or Cass, so Murder Pope it is.

Just recruited Iron Bull and Blackwall (I have no idea what my Isa will do with him when she'll discover the truth), escaped from the Hinterlands and on my way to the Therinfal Redoubt (my rogue Trevelyan is doing well with Vivienne, she wants to restore the circles). About the screen - yep, mods :3

Sorry guys but i bet you all like love this main quest but i do not like it so much i am postponing this quest for some time now but yesterday i've finally done it. I think i would have had more playthroughs under my belt if it wasn't for this one quest. And the quest that i'm talking about is Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. There are some parts of the quest that i like but most parts of the quest i do not like and that is mostly the court approval part. So what i do now is i run through the quest as fast as i can get my 100% court approval and that's it. Also i am a completionist and i just cannot get one of the Halla Statues. I have seen video's of how to get it but i was not able to. Maybe my game is bugged somehow i don't know but it's frustrating. By the way this is the only quest that i do not like in the entire game. I also did some sidequests finished three mosaic sets i just love finishing them.

Right. What I like in MET is that I can repeatedly flirt with the same lover over lots of options popping up in many characters' conversations only one time, and then you can't talk to them. I would have preferred multiple conversations on a romance track, like in SWTOR, and the earlier games (harking back to Baldur's Gate). Basically, I do not think there is enough conversations with the Player in DA2. It makes up for it with scenery banter as you do quests, but the lover do not offer you flirts during the interjections. So, DA2 feels very much void of romance for most of the game, save for the two talks at the beginning of each chapter. It is an uneven distribution, and they are never initiated by your lover. And, yes, companion initiated lovetalks are retro, but I wish we still had them. I actually prefer more scattered courtship chats in the game over one elaborate cinematic cutscenes with nudity and all that jazz. I am coming from the older generation, and we used to add randomized flirt trees to our companions, which produced a bunch of different results every time you selected it, and they were appropriate for a romance stage. We also added random timer companion initiated flirts, where companion might just stop and glance pc's way and crack a smile or things of that nature. Obviously, commercial romances cannot go this far, but I prefer being able to chat with the lover whenever and feel that the romance is active outside two talks at the beginning of each act. My ideal is flirts scattered throughout the game. SWTOR does it well in Smuggler's story. fylimar I played basically every race available in MET in MP. ME3MP does not lock names and backgrounds of the MP characters, so I RP them a little. Made me interested in Batarians, heh.

And an addition to my previous post. Just finished Champions of the Just with Sera, Vivi and Cassandra. Isa had some problems with the test (which she wanted to perform, she does respect the Templars *cough* *cough* Cullen). She finished by putting the faith in the first place, then the people on the second (she had some problems with this choice) and the templars for the last one (they're here to protect people, right?). After the Envy Demon took her in a dirty place she didn't understand and she didn't belong too, she had freaked out when the demon-creature talked to her. She does fear demons, she doesn't understand them, she isn't mage, she doesn't have any arcane knowledge. So it's totally normal. Then the creepy-boy Cole saved her. She didn't trust him, but she accepted his offer, well, she didn't have the choice. Then she escaped, the big battle occured, Isa and her team killed the demon and she was put in front of this big choice - make the Templars allies or disband them and absorb them. She couldn't do the second one. She lived in the Free Marches, but she always admired the Templars, she felt safe thanks to them. So she made them allies in hope that they'll repair the big mistakes their leaders commited.

I'm a bit slow in the DA department at the moment. I'm still in the Emerald Grove with Riya, I like that map, because it's beautiful, but I don't like the quests that much, so I'm stalling. My rogue elven Aylin finished IHW and made the mages allies (she has a crush on Lysas)and my dwarven rogue Lia has just arrived at the Exalted Plains to help Solas save his friend. Honestly none of my other characters get along with Solas so well as that little dwarf. Same with Sera, totally best friends after just arriving in Skyhold. I think Lia would be the one to do the Sera romance with . Aylin will go for Cullen once she is over Lysas.

I think Lia would be the one to do the Sera romance with . Aylin will go for Cullen once she is over Lysas. The key to moving forward with a relationship between a Dalish elf and Solas is to be humble and accept Solas' expertise as a scholarly mage wise to the ways of the past and of the Fade. My Dalish mages appreciated that he understood the mark better than anyone else and tried to learn whatever they could from him. They see that his Fade-Dreaming approach to life and magic appears to have alienated him from modern elves. My Dalish mages, of course, assume he's a City Elf, which would make him significantly different from the Dalish to begin with. They learn not to dwell on his thoughts regarding the Dalish. (Rather odd that you can't ask him more about his background. How did he avoid being put in a Circle for example?) One way or another, you should get one of your elves into a Solasmance! You should get Lia in a romance with Sera! Sera likes them both tall and small! (Being in a romance with Sera might make the scene in Trespasser where you first encounter the Vidasala rather interesting!)
