Went to Redcliffe to talk with the mage. Fiona is an idiot for submitting to a magister. Went to the chantry and saw Dorain. See you later Dorain.
I succeeded in getting the templar support to help close the breach.
Since I recruited Sera, I've had her and Varric with me the whole time. I'm surprised they haven't exchanged any dialogue yet. Maybe when I move through the game more they might.
I won't be recruiting Blackwall, Iron Bull and Vivienne. Cole I sent away. Can't trust a spirit wearing a wide-brimmed hat.

I've put Kvothe on hold and now I have a dwarf lady running around the Hinterlands, shooting rams with her bow, unaware she's about to meet the man who's going to cause her a lot of heartache.

Had a great time in the Deeps Roads and I'm on my way to become filthy rich I don't know why am I being so awfully greedy this time , but I'm doing again what I did in DAO, and the only thing I bought so far are a few fortune runes, saving up to start buying cool stuff by the end of act 2 I'm doing now Legacy, I guess that's going to help to get a lot of gold. I'm not sure actually about doing Legacy so soon in the story, the truth is I'm trying this only because I thought Fenris' banter would fit here better I did once or twice Legacy at the end of Act1, and it`s doable, but not easy. Banter is always good, though. I always use the Valuable Junk mod with DA2, since I consider that the game treats you completely unfair when it comes to selling stuff. The prices for an item in any store are dozens of times higher than the price you`ve got when selling them. Valuable Junk just increases the prices you get for junk items in stores: www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/2453/?

Okay, it's minus 20 again, and more snow. So, Heaven's Mandate is to play videogames. Again. I've achieved a better measure of success in the Southern Exalted Plains. That is I've accomplished more before getting nowhere fast. I can't remember why I am supposed to get the Good will of the Dalish, but Solas is not giving me his quests, so I figured he might approve. brought him along instead of Cole. He does not really give two figs about the Dalish, but the area is trivial with three mages. Figure 1. Sin Fell, by the Tinterton Abbey in the Exalted plains. At some point returned to Spellhold and had a couple of nice cutscenes, Iron Bull showing me his men's morale and a chess-game with Cullan. I've got the memo at some point of extreme frustration with the northern Exalted Plains that he is staying clean from Lyrium. He seems more relaxed now and more pleasant. Anyway, the Dalish. I did what I could, but I am not up for hunting the Unicorn... erm the Golden Halla, and the bear pelts are supposed to be in the EMerald Graves. Well, instead of Emerald Graves I erroneously went to this place of really cool screenshots: Figure 2. Sin Fell and a Screenshotogenic Green Shiny Mosaic: It's kindda cool, and the companions are talking again. Also, dig the hand-drawn map for the place. So... gonna run some erands, and then nothing for it but to keep on the secrets of the Elven Gods or Gods of Secrets... not sure why, but maybe Dalish will care since it has something to do with their glyphs. Figure 3. The Three Stooges... erm... Mages. Just look at Solas' new fancy duster! V.stylish. Edit: Just looked at the screesnshot and it looks like he stayed in his Skyhold outfit again. By some reason the armor stopped re-equipping on him after the Skyhold visits. Gotta pay attention to that.

Mark of the Assassin is a mixed bag. First of all, it`s not related to the Hawkes, like Legacy. It starts as a burglary mission and develops into something quite different. I mostly disliked Tallis as a character, so she is not a positive reason for me. MotA is unusual for DA2, in a different way compared to Legacy. It has some funny banter, some interesting companion quests, side quests, and puzzles. What was worth for me is a very unusual stealth mission about infiltrating a castle. Something which Hawke needs to complete mostly alone. And of course, there is a plot concerning Thedas. All in all, it`s a perfect fit for a purple rogue Hawke. Not so for a mage or a warrior. But for a rogue, it`s almost crafted especially for them. And a purple Hawke has some extremely funny moments. Would I buy it again, in hindsight? Yes, but not for Tallis, and not for the original reason. Since it came out after Legacy, I expected a new plot involving the Hawkes. But it fits well into the overall DA story and offers some insight for DA:I. Bioware`s reaction about the modding community is typical for corporations. They don`t want to recognize any merit out of fear that modders would ask for something in return (especially they fear money and copyright). Which is just ridiculous! I know only too well how it feels to be ignored this way. But your work has the most important recognition: from the fans. I most likely played some of your mods. And I thank you very much for them! I enjoyed MotA and learning about Felicia Day. And, of course, everything you say about the DLC is on the mark as well. The big problem, of course, is fitting it into the Hawke story: There's no reason for Tallis to seek out Hawke's assistance before the end of Act 2 because Hawke isn't "the Champion" yet and no one outside of Kirkwall would know who Hawke is just yet. OTOH, Tallis' real mission - protect the identity of Qunari spies in Orlais - is likely to be a big turn-off to Hawke, who became Champion by defeating the Qunari in Kirkwall. But what choice do you have then? Either you help Tallis willingly or you help Tallis grudgingly. My Hawke walked away from that one feeling used!

from Champions of the Just Did some sightseeing in the Hinterlands. Ohh. Look at the pretty flowers. And the trees. So many leaves on the branches. Look at the pre---wait a minute. Those are mercs wanting to kill me. That's not pretty. Engaging magic. There. All done. Back to the pretty stuff. Hey? Its fortress. Here we go again with the merc thing again. I can't buy a nice walk in the park on discount. I'll try again tomorrow. Found a key. The key opens to an undeground dwarf lair or ruin. Fight darkspawn. Is there a lightspawn version? haha. Sorry. My character gets annoyed when I do that. Head back to Haven to close the breach. Who is this clown? He's attacking Haven trying to find the plastic surgeon who worked on his face? I can't help you there buddy. Why don't you run along with your overgrown pet dog and go somewhere else? He doesn't want to. Fine. I'm outta here. Enjoy the snow/rock slide. Its cold. Next time I will wear my long underwear. Everyone is singing. That's fine. I'm going to put on my headphones and listen to some Ozzy. Much better. Solas wants me to lead everyone to this place. WOW. I got a new playhouse. Skyhold? Hmmm. How about....Hahahold? Sometimes I crack myself up. Now I'm Inquisitor. Hold up. What's wrong with this picture? Why would I hold a sword when I should be holding a staff? It only makes sense. I'm a mage. Right? Ok. I'm going spend time talking with the interior decorators about what I want for my new Castle. I'll be back later to tell you about what I decided.

By some reason the armor stopped re-equipping on him after the Skyhold visits. Gotta pay attention to that. After you arrive at Skyhold, probably the best thing to do is ask "why you are doing what you are doing?" If you have no reason to be in the Exalted Plains or the Emerald Graves, skip those areas until one of the companions or advisors gives you a reason to go there. For Exalted Plains, Dorian has some old buddies he wants to look up. Solas has that spirit friend to rescue. Viv will also give you a reason to go back there later. Why help the Dalish? My Dalish PCs obviously want to help a sister Dalish clan. For any other PC, it would be part of the Inquisition's general mission of helping the people of Thedas in a world being overrun by demons thanks to the Breach and the numerous small rifts you run into on every map. (Also, if you win the favor of the Dalish, you will get access to a shop that sells gear and Tier 2 schematics you can't get at the shop in Val Royeaux.) Yes, the Golden Halla quest is excruciatingly lame. On one of my early PTs, I had both Solas and Sera on my team which I thought would help with the Dalish. Instead, they "accidently" killed the Golden Halla! (In DAI, they really doubled down on the "Dalish elves = American Indians" meme!) As to what else is happening in the Exalted Plains, it was a main battleground in the Orlesian Civil War between the forces loyal to Empress Celene (who you learned will be assassinated in the dismal future you saw in the "In Hushed Whispers" mission) and the forces of the "Usurper" Grand Duke Gaspard, who wants the throne. These forces stopped fighting each other as a result of cease fire to await what happens during negotiations between Celene and Gaspard during negotiations at the Winter Palace. Then, suddenly, these two armies come under siege from demons and undead. Your PC can choose to defeat the demons and unravel the mystery of who's behind it - or your PC can leave the Civil War combatants to fend for themselves. (They're soldiers after all! They should be able to handle it!) There's a Cullen-related subplot that will provide a rationale for fighting not just here, but also in the Emerald Graves and the Empris de Leon. If you talk to Cullen alot, it will all make sense. OR If you want to do a shorter PT, skip the Exalted Plains, Emerald Graves, and Empris de Leon go straight to Crestwood and that will allow you to stick strictly with the main story.

This is why I always played MotA in Act 3 after Hawke is named Champion. The initial goal presented by Tallis fits a rogue Hawke quite well. The ultimate goal is a completely different matter, but at the moment Hawke discovers the truth, s/he really has no choice. The hidden goal is really a recurring theme in DA2 if you start to think a bit about it. So for me, this goal changing part is really a plus for MotA. Regardless of the outcome, Hawke is learning about something unexpected. And so are we. Playing it in Act 1 or 2 makes the whole story inconsistent. The worst part about DLC`s is: the idea of inserting them in a pre-made storyline. They never fit well. It would be much better to just give the player an option to play the DLC`s after the main game.

I'm enjoying this anti-mage Dwarf more than I thought I would I'm using Vivienne for pretty much the first time and I won't stop until I get to punch Solas. But we're not there yet. Went to see the mages in Redcliffe, found out they pledged themselves to a Tevinter magister who's using magic to control time. And he's set up a cult. Of mages. Yeah, no thanks. Off to get the Templars!

I can't put off the Calling any longer. The Calling of Dragon Age. Must play. and it has to be DA2, as well. Wrists won't be happy (why no controller mods, whine whine) Default Male Hawke who will sleep with EVERYONE, but end up with Isabella, and is an otherwise goody goody at heart. He will be sarcastic, because I haven't had a sarcastic male Hawke yet. (only played one aggro sociopath male Hawke.) and he will be the only canon world Hawke I sacrifice in the Fade in DAI. (because Isabella has the strength to live without him and he's too much of a darn hero type despite his sarcasm.) So excited I did start Jade Empire last night but I have to set up the controller way different because I can't figure out how to hard save now with Top Right and Top Left are used to turn me around. Did toggles not exist when this game was created?

Did toggles not exist when this game was created? x_x Sorry, I have no idea, on PC the controls are very similar to every other game :) I am finally starting to finish things. See, it does not bother me that a story is barely there in the Exalted Plains. If a thread is interesting enough, I will follow it... to the end. It's that nothing seem to end in Exalted Plains. Not the Dalish favor that requires you to go to the Emerald Graves, not the whole body pits adventure... It also makes me blow my gasket when I cannot figure out my path through the map. I can't take being turned around and not being able to find a way to where I want to be. I finished the small dungeon in Dirthmen, and it was an excellent contained dungeon crawl - that's the sort of thing I am used to in video-games, and I like that. Very pretty place, and just right for me for mob saturation and length for a quest. That came with body parts, not full dead bodies. Then I finished the Village part of the Crestwall, draining the Lake, more dead bodies to burn (seriously, Bio?), and doing a subplot with the Mayor. So sad... I expected him to be brought to Skyhold, but not yet. Solas still not talking to Sin, I assume he did not like anything that has happened so far. From the other characters, I never bothered to talk to Vivienne and Sera, I should next time we visit. Josephine has quite a bit of short, fun chats. She is really the most developed/likable to me of all advisers. I still don't dig Cullen. Oh, yes, I tried to talk to Cole, and gods only knows what the heck he is talking about. Grats on creating the most alien character ever, Bio! Finally, with everyone levelling to level 12, I had major gearing overhaul, and even crafted an armor set for Sin. Now, we are the most idiotically looking band of adventurers in Thedas, but at least they are color coordinated. Dorian acquired a blonde wig. Good thing he wears a ring that makes him go into stealth all the time. For a while having a Necromancer in the party was very weird, I got confused with Dorian's manipulation of the dead enemies ghosts. I am now taking it in stride. Hopefully, so does Sin. He is looking very dapper whenever he extends that lightsaber. Just needs a color crystal. But yea, those two make for a lot of fireworks, glows, mists and weird sound effects. On the battlefield (I feel I need to make this clear). I am afraid to say I am looking forward to meeting Stroud tomorrow, because, well, with Inquisition you never know when a mighty mountain ridge bars your way and send all your hopes and plans down the drain. Figure 1. We may look idiotic, but we sport the same azure! Also: finally, Dorian is out of his man-fishnet, but alas, alas for Sin. Figure 2. Rising the proud banner of Inquisition. Sera does not know what to do with her hands on such a monumental occasion, so she just... removed them? And, unlike the Deep Roads, the lightening is very unfavorable.

@domi
Dirthamen is- oh wait, I've never been in there. You have to loot graves to get in, don't you? Doesn't that permanently lose the favor of the Dalish? There is a ruin related to The Events of Red Crossing that I never miss as a Dalish but I just like it in general. The closest to resolution you'll get with burning the bodies is that supposedly the undead will stop rising. (less bad guys) And the Dalish will be like, "Hey, you're cool to bring our young dalish elf with you." *aquires agent.* Both of those outcomes can be underwhelming.
Oh yeah. You can turn off helm in the settings. I always do. ^^

It opens up after you investigate Elven Runes in the Plains, then go to the Wartable and complete an operation, that opens up a separate dungeon in a separate map location. Which wins you favor with the Dalish. Also, you can loot the graves AFTER the runes quest and bring the assembled key to Harwan, and it wins 1 point of affection from him for not breaking into the temple itself. EDIT: I can turn of the Helmet, but then I will lose my face-paint. I like the face-paint.

*Walks up to a group. Uses the tornado slice and halves 6 Darkspawn* *laughs in Glee* okay, I forgive the walking now.

For this PT that I started two days ago with an elven rogue named Revas (the elven word for freedom and the name of a griffon in )Last Flight), I intend to stick with Tier 1 schematics at least until after In Hushed Whispers or whatever decent equipment I find on occasion. The only exception being the Dalish scout armor for my rogue - who should be wearing Dalish gear. This time she'll romance Blackwall so I can get that one behind me. So far, have spent most of the time carrying out missions in Redcliffe. Secured the Crossroads and did the missions to feed and clothe the refugees. Focused on getting agents and recruited all companions except Cole and Dorian. Then Revas' team defeated the Templars with relative ease. Then went west to get Dennet's horses and did the required quests to do that and recruit Dennet. One nice thing about having a rogue PC was the stealth capability during rift fights. It makes it relatively easy to disrupt the rifts so your comrades could overpower the demons. I was having a record run (team never got wiped out) until Revas and company tried to rescue Druffy. When they got to the river, the demons at the rift were all level 12 and made short work of the Inquisition. Will have to come back later for that one... Revas is now preparing to fight the rebel mages....again. An early effort got creamed but was able to limp away before being totally wiped. Revas went to the Forbidden Oasis to mine some Paragon's Luster in order to get the most out of those Tier 1 schematics and otherwise optimize the team's equipment. Also had to respec Vivienne they found out during the first try that the lead apostate had both cold and fire resistance. The lightest moment, so far, was when Vivienne said - while in the Hinterlands - "This country smells like wet dog! How charming!" (Apparently she was friends with Marjolane back in the day! )

@domi Dirthamen is- oh wait, I've never been in there. ^^ No, fortunately you don't have to loot the graves for that. You basically have to go around with veilfire to read runes throughout the Exalted Plains. When you've read all of them, you can open up the temple of dirthamon at the wartable. The only thing you get in that chamber for which you have to loot the graves is a mosaic piece. Otherwise nothing special.

*seriously cracking up* Some sort of mod clash! My male Hawke is barely wearing pants and nothing else, not even shoes! Will have to canon that Arkady Hawke was sleeping in when Carver came running in telling us to flee and all he grabbed was his sword!

Oh yes. So not regretting the choice to go sarcastic.
"Wrath of the Templars are mighty indeed."
Wesley: "More like the wrath of their wives."
"If my options are die or go to the South, I pick South!"

Lil Bro died *sad face* All that's left is Future Warden Bethany. Nothing like meeting the Witch of the Wilds in your skivvies. Umm... Just me, or does Male Hawke look like he's checking Flemeth out? She does look better in DA2 than she does in DAI. MAn, that Blight sickness really hits Wesley hard... It's always so sudden. The first time I'd ever played DA2, it reminded me so much of Lee, Kenny, and Duck from TWD and I was like... I can't let a wife kill her own husband. So i did it. But then Aveline was angry about it. Now it's almost more bittersweet for Aveline to do it, so that's my preference. But this Hawke is more okay with death dealing, so he performed the rite. Arrived in Kirkwall with nothing but a helmet and an amulet to go along with my long johns. I look very refugee indeed. *breaths deep of the imagined salty air and desperation* I'm home!

like mad when Hawke and Loghain (the first time in how many PTs?) went down during the meet at WA. So much for heroes. I think the quest line for Sutherland has glitched out. I thought I could kill two quests with one stone by lining up both IB and Sutherland for SC. I did IB first and discovered this killed off Sutherland. I reload and did IB first. Then did the string for Sutherland. After that, it was a few reloads because every time the party popped into SC, one of them started saying something only to be killed by the idiot scout. I tried popping to other locations on the SC to get the dialogue, then popped over to the nearest camp to Sutherland. However, the game read this as a quest failure so I reload and popped straight over to the camp, ignored the scout interrupt and go to the quest location. No Sutherland. Reloaded a couple of times, no deal. I'm not sure if this will get straighten out if I do Adamant. But it's no big deal if I don't finish it (for once). If Sutherland and gang are going to make some minor appearance in DA4, maybe the save decision will come up in DAK.
