I haven't played DAI in some time, mostly because I'm currently walking through Skyrim. *cough* Anyway, yesterday I went back to Kitty Lavellan's PT. Wanted to deal with the Mages and Templars and also get my horse from Master Dennet, so I could go to Val Royeaux. Didn't work out that well. Had to disable Walk Softly, but the mages still kept killing me. Decided they could wait and wanted to get the Templar quest. First Kitty had to battle through a horde of Freemen. That was when I decided I should probably restock potions. A few fights later, Kitty got the Templar quest and made her way to Master Dennet. Got her horse, talked to Dennet's wife and his helper and then did a horse race on Seanna's track. I really like the clothes Dennet's wife is wearing. They should've made them available for the Inquisitor too. You can't tell me a mage, or rogue wouldn't wear stuff like that.

Finished the Frostback Basin today. I love this map and the quests, just an all around fun and beautiful experience. Having a lively town, or hold in this case, is a nice change and I really liked the characters and their associated quests. Learning more about the Avvar lore and about the first Inquisitor was also very interesting. The boss fights were pretty easy this time around. Almost too easy. In the end, the Inquisitor won and got her legend-mark. Also, Kenric is the cutest.

From the diary of Elena Lavellan:
"This is getting big, so maybe I'd better keep a diary.
Just got back from Therinfall Fortress. Wow are the Templars fucked-up or what? I had to disband them, they clearly haven't a clue what they are doing. Barris seems OK but too many of them have sticks wedged too firmly in uncomfortable places. Hopefully they'll be useful against the breach and after that we can ensure they have divided leadership so they are never a problem again. Hmm, have to make sure they don't turn to Cassandra or Cullen as surrogate leaders.
Vivienne asked me what I think should happen to the mages. I told her what she wanted to hear, some rubbish about the circle. Honestly, I couldn't give a damn as long as they stay out of my way. They're either trouble or want to control you like some frelling Keeper. The next mage who tries to dominate me is going to get a dagger up the nostril.
So the Templars will be here soon and we can close the breach and I can get back to earning coin and having a good time. Maybe I'll just pop over to Hafter's Woods to close the last of the small breaches there. Just one last jolly with Sara and Bull before we split up."

Kitty finally dealt with the Mages and Templars and also claimed three spots for watchtowers before she went back to Haven. There she witnessed the Inquisition mages & templars be at each other's throats until Cullen broke them up. She then went on a little trip to Kirkwall to the Black Emporium, to get some new make up. Now feeling pretty, Kitty went to Val Royeaux to address the Chantry. She already had expected it to not turn out that well, but what then happened still shocked her. A Templar punched the Chantry mother! Kitty doesn't believe in the Maker, but doing something like that is just plain wrong. This Lord Seeker Lucius is one umpleasant dude. Telling Cass to shut up. Kitty then decided to leave Val Royeaux, but not before recruiting Belle and looking for some red hankerchiefs. On the way out they got stopped by Grandenchanter Fiona, who wanted the Inquisition to meet up with the mages in Redcliffe. Annoyed as Kitty already was, she told her exactly what she was thinking. Shortest conversation I ever had with Fiona. Next: recruiting Sera

From the diary of Elena Lavellan:
"That was fun although Sera picked up a couple of bruises. When they go purple-green she'll look extra cute. A couple of bandits were waiting for us when we exited the cave, but a bear had decided to join the party so their ambush was ruined. Go bear.
The Hinterlands seem to be completely quiet now, probably best to go see if the Templars have arrived in Haven yet.
LATER I did it! I closed the big one! It wasn't easy but I did it. I'll decide how to get out of here tomorrow, but first it's time to PARTY!
Wait. That's the alarms. WTF!"

Started my Saturday with a trip into the Deep Roads with Shaper Valta and Renn to find the source of the earthquakes shaking Thedas. I absolutely adore the music in this area, especially the song that plays when you fight through the darkspawn to reclaim the lost thaig. The first time playing through that sequence was really, really fun. All around a fun experience with a very beautiful scenery and interesting lore. And then finally, finally Trespasser! A wonderful last chapter for my Inquisitor. Beautiful music and the ending is still amazing and emotional. That final epilogue is also very nice and I'm glad to know that most of the members of my Inquisition have become happy people, who still try to bring some good into the world. Can't wait for the next game to continue the story, but it'll be a long wait.

From the diary of Elena Lavellan: "Someone made the decision to bring my diary here. In the chaos of the attack when everyone else was picking up supplies, someone picked up my diary. Now they've just left it in my bedchamber without a note or a word. It's probably Solas. He strikes me as the creepy silent stalker sort. When I was getting attacked by that asshole Corypheus, who I now owe a dagger to the nostril, this someone was picking up my diary. That's wierded me out. And now I find out that Varric knew the asshole before this started. I'd be as pissed as Cassandra if I wasn't laughing at her outrage. This Hawke woman seems the direct sort, which I like about her, but the smear across the nose just looks silly. I'm trying to work out where they got that massive sword from, I didn't see it in any baggage. Not sure what I'll do with it, it's much too large for anyone except Bull to use in combat."

From the diary of Elena Lavellan "This place is big! Huge! There's even a separate cellar for the wine. This task is getting huge too. Whole battalions are marching off where I send them. Specialist trainers are turning up to help me and rulers are sending messages asking for my help. Some things are a bit more down to earth though, helping that village boy Sutherland felt good. Cullen seems to think he has potential. I'm having fun times with a certain someone. Really fun times."

Long and pic heavy post, you've been warned Kitty decided to follow the lead of the red hankerchiefs into a hidden courtyard, just to get attacked by thugs and some weird dude in a mask. Then a elf girl appeared, telling the mask guy to say "what", he didn't listen and said more. Got an arrow into the face. More thugs attacked, but the girl was of good cheer. The thugs dead, the girl, her name's Sera, asked if she could join the Inquisition. Kitty's reply was of course YES! and Sera went on her way to Haven. Back in Haven, it was time for Kitty to flirt with Cully-Wully After that, Kitty went to the tavern, for a little chi-chat with Sera. Back to business. Kitty went to the Chantry, where Cass, Josie, Leli and Cullen were arguing if they should approach the Mages or Templars. Kitty told them to stop bickering and finally decide on something. Just as she had left the Chantry, Kitty overheard a conversation between Leliana and one of her agents. Leliana told him to kill another agent, but Kitty couldn't let that happen. Kitty then took Sera, Varric and Cass on some questing in the Hinterlands. Turns out Sera likes knitting. The group then encountered a Rift and soon got overwhelmed by a Rage Demon, leaving Sera as sole fighter vs a group of demons. She killed them all. Rascoth Some quests later, Kitty went to Redcliffe to at least talk to the mages and give them benefit of the doubt, but what she found in Redcliffe made her hair stood on end. The mages had allied themselves with Tevinter. She also met Magister Alexius, who told Kitty, that he only meant the best for the southern mages, but she didn't believe a single word. After their talk Felix, Alexius son, collapsed into Kitty's arms, secretly passing her a note, to meet him in the Chantry. So not ominous. Nope. Kitty's definitely not going to the Chantry. Back in Haven, more awkward flirting with Cully.

Finally got back to my "husband's" character, on the xbone. It's funny; I play MP mostly with a controller on the PC, but I have a helluva time playing with a controller, in SP. On the PC, I simply just play KB+M. But on the console, no such choice. Never been so glad, that I chose to only play on Normal mode. I do have some trials on, including Walk Softly and Grizzly End. Since I also have Take It Slow on, I haven't really needed to set Even Ground. Once I get to level 16, I will turn it on. Currently at level 12. On with the current events! Finished out all of Crestwood, and even took on the Dragon (which is still one of the easier dragons. However, I had forgotten to buy the elemental resist potions in VR, before this. Oops. Sera and Solas needed a few rez's. Went back to the Hinterlands to finish out the last few quests, and the Frostback dragon. This time I had the correct potions on hand, but damn! Had to rez Sera/Solas/Bull about three times each. Of course, it is probably in part of my all thumbs playing, with said controller. Then I opened up the Western Approach. Cleared out the Still Ruins, and farmed for tier three schematics and mats (husband was walking the dog, so I didn't need to bore him with this aspect). I forgot how addicted I once was to farming. No real need on the PC since I have played so much there, and the Golden Nug has just about everything. This being the first play through on the xbone though, means "it's farmin' time!" Spent time in Skyhold crafting, talking to peeps and doing a handful of WT quests. I will finish out the WA today. It's grey and rainy - as was yesterday - so what better to do, than to game. BTW, hubby is still unsure what spec he wants our gal Siona Lavellan to take. I have been grabbing all three rogues at different times, to show some of their spec abilities. Unfortunately, at such a low level, they don't have a lot to dazzle with. I am sort of pushing him toward artificer (though in fairness, it was originally the spec that caught his interest). He does like the idea of the Lightning Flask, so I will at least let him see that effect, before asking him to make a final decision. No problems with getting the ingredients for all of them, so he can choose without being hampered by that. Whelp, that is all for now. Hopefully I can convince him to actually try out the controls himself, but eh.....maybe not. *shrug*

As an artificer I rarely use the one mine since it just takes too long to prime. Instead I use all the mini bombs and usually stealth on to enemies and surprise nuke the crap out of them with "bombs everywhere"
