Just so long as the default can be fixed up to look prettier. I went to the MEA board where they showed a side-by-side of the voice actress and the final white default female, and they were pretty close. And yet, in action, something's not quite right. As to the odd facial expressions, I can't help but think they got more ambitious and tried to have the faces be more reactive to the situations the characters run into, only to have the faces be over reactive and trigger improperly. Hopefully something that can be fixed with a patch. Maybe but I'd hardly think the facial animations can be fixed with a patch; it would have to be pretty big. I just gave a Cass's ugh!! to a char's words just now. And Ryder's got a real goofy look on her face. *sigh* I'll be sailing back in to DAI for a while. MEA dropped down to desktop for no reason at all for a few times when I was playing SP.

Gave the Miners a raise. I especially liked the goofy foreshadowing. "What if the dragons comes back?" *hic* "Or worse! A bigger dragon!" Nah, you don't say, random NPC I had planned on killing Idunna, but she immediately goes to begging for her life. This hawke wouldn't do that. Apparently it's only mage Hawke that can auto kill/stop her? I have a Cullen Mod to give him long hair and a scruffy beard. At first I was like, oh no...but by the end, I liked it. Also, falling in love with him all over again. He gives all teh dastardly warnings, but then you argue with him and then he's like...hmmmm. You may have a point. Then gave Wayword Son a shot, but messed up and brought Fenris along when I chose to let Feriel go to the Dalish. I also don't know if this Hawke is really pro torture with the Fenris fist grabs. So, I reloaded after a heap of Fenris Rivalry I can't afford when he's first to get smooched in Act 2. With Fenris being first, I can't be losing points, or all the sex scenes are going to be smashed together and I wanted to space them. And then make a sex em up collage. hehehe.

Aww - thank you . It's good to be back. phoray is right about the mod: it's Seras outfit for human female and it replaces the medium inqui armors with Seras armor versions. I just love that armor so much. It comew with Seras normal clothes as Skyhold replacer - a nice bonus. Revas looks so cute in that dress (and yes, I believe, it's the same modder than the steampunk dress, the ornaments look similar). I have to read the Masked Empire sometimes (I got sidetracked again in my quest to read the DA books, since anotehr book series throws itself in my way: 1. Jackaby, some kind of supernatural Sherlock Holmes adventure), sounds like the Halamshiral quest could really benefit from that. About MEA: yes, I've read that too. I was wondering about it, because someone made a thread here in the DAI board 'Glad that happened to MEA' orsomething like that and I was wondering, what happened to MEA. 2. To be fair, a lot of people made really great looking characters judging from the MEA character trhead, but the movement is kind of strange sometimes (not that our beloved inqui could not win the creepy movement award some times too) and there was a scene on youtube, where some chick told the female protagonist, that her parents died and the fp begun to grin - that was a bit ... well ... creepy. But I'm not glad, something bad happens to MEA, because if that game doesn't sell well, there might be no money for DA4 and that would be tragic. I just wish, the board ranks would be set back to before, because I was applying for godhood not N4 1. If you read any Italian, you should try the "Dylan Dog" comic books! It's an Italian comic book/manga - set in London! 2. Now what's the deal with the CC in Andromeda? Is it as flexible as the one in DAI? Some of the critics have a point. The default males look handsome. The default white female, OTOH, looks a bit "derpy," particularly when compared with the beautiful real life model used to create her. At least with a DAI-like CC creator, however, that could be fixed. (On a positive, the white female character did have a nice long ponytail, so they have learned something from DAI.) Yes, I actually know the Dylan Dog comics. There is a small publisher here in Germany, who brought them out again after they were out of print for som time. I likes those kind of stories About Andromeda: I don't know, how limited the CC is, but from what I've read, very. They have some nicer hair than DAI, but you can do less with the faces. But people managed to create some pretty nice characters, judging from the pics.

Since returning to Skyhold, Revas has become aware that the Chantry is looking to either Leliana or Cassandra as the next Divine. Though Dalish, Revas sees the importance of this and immediately favors Leliana, who not only supported Revas' decision to free the mages but who is also the lover of the HOF, a city elf. She follows her to Valence where she seeks to uncover a last message from Divine Justinia. Leliana uncovers a spy sent by one of Justinia's rivals, but Revas restrains Leliana from taking lethal action against the spy. A compassionate, idealistic Divine would be more likely to bridge the various divides among the people of Thedas. Upon meeting Iron Bull, he relays the Qunari offer of an alliance. IB, however, shows signs of nervousness about the affair. Revas, whose clan wandered the Free Marches before finally settling in Wycomme, remembers what happened with the Qunari in Kirkwall and is wary of the Qunari in general. Further, the plan over which the Qun and the Inquisition would consummate the alliance is an odd one. The Qunari want to send a dreadnaught to attack a Venatori smuggling ship carrying Red Lyrium while it is docked in the Storm Coast. They also want the Inquisition to provide cover for the dreadnaught from two key areas overlooking the dock, but demand that the Inquisition do it with a small force. This makes no sense to Revas, who feels the troops tasked with guarding the position would be vulnerable to attack from Venatori forces, particularly those including mages. The Qunari insist the area is clear of Venatori but still want a small force at those positions just in case. Revas rejects the offer. IB disapproves. (The offer still stands, however, and is marked on the Storm Coast.) Revas hooks up with LI Blackwall. He's brooding more than usual. Somehow, they end up having a night of passion and she wakes up alone in Blackwall's barn. (Because a barn is so much more romantic than her huge apartment which actually has a bed! ) She finds a brief goodbye letter from Blackwall and one of Leliana's scouts arrives to confirm he's no longer in Skyhold and brings a report about an upcoming execution in VR which Blackwall appears to have had an interest in. But before the sense of abandonment can set in, she finds an unusual visitor: Trifles Minutiae of the Quizquisition! Revas also pays a visit to her not-so-good friend, Vivienne. Revas feels a tinge of guilt as she passes Vivienne's shrine to the late Empress Celene. Viv wants to ask her a favor. She wants Revas to hunt down the heart of a White Wyvern for some potion she's concocting for someone in the Council of Heralds. When Revas asks what the potion is for, Viv refuses to be forthcoming and with more than a little bit of snark adds "you wouldn't want me blabbing about some of your issues!" Revas turns her down. Revas also catches Varric talking a female dwarven smith named Bianca - so much for the story Varric told about the origins of his crossbow. She had information about smugglers using an abandoned Thaig for their Red Lyrium operations. She seemed a bit nervous however... Varric vouched for her, however, so back to old Thaig underneath the Hinterlands. You really must tell us, what consequences not doing IB personal quest has in Trespasser. I always did it so far (and saved the CHargers, because they are the coolest )

Going for rift mage again; I just love to call down flaming boulders. Hit WA first to grab those tombs; I got a freebie when I did the mage quest. Btw, I heard Cass in MEA. The VA is playing an asari. An asari out for justice. That's so like Cass. .. too bad all the asari are clones; I'd prefer that special "Cass" to look different. If it's not Miranda Raison, well, whoever it was sure sounds like her.

My Anti Qunari Hawke is confused by Shepherding Wolves. The background I've given him is that he knew the Farmer's Family that Sten murdered. He's a lapsed Andrastian.
So, even though he seriously considers refusing the request of Sister Petrice, he talks himself into it. He hurries Ketojan along, just ready for this whole thing to be over with. But then Ketojan steps in to protect him and he's shocked. 5 minutes ago, he'd considered the Qunari little more than a dangerous animal (haha shepherding wolves). And now it was protecting him. Of course, Ketojan had little to say. When they arrived outside of the caves, more Qunari were present and this did not please Arkady Hawke at all. He had questions. Which led to a discussion about mages. Arkady Hawke was pro mage rights, up to a point. There were obviously some mages that obviously benefitted from being limited and controlled while others, like his father, sister, and to a lesser extent, Anders and Merril, seemed to handle themselves in freedom well. Which made things even more complicated.
From dangerous animal, to confusing comrade in arms, to...a person, suffering from a lack of freedoms. It was a whirlwind of impressions that conflicted directly with the anger he'd held for over a year. He didn't have much time to think about it, because one comment about the mages present with him angered the Qunari quite a lot. He was then faced with the confusing and upsetting reality that Ketojan, as he'd come to know him, was intent to die by his own hand.
This day would stay with Arkady Hawke going forward.
P.S.
In my head, Arkady has made moves on next door neighbor and overwhelmingly thankful Masha. The sister of the Templar he saved from blood mage clutches. *Wink wink*

P.S. 2. In my head, Arkady has made moves on next door neighbor and overwhelmingly thankful Masha. The sister of the Templar he saved from blood mage clutches. *Wink wink*1. Nothing wrong with having your PC re-examine his beliefs and preconceptions in response to things that happen to him in the game. This episode in DA2 always leaves me confused however. It's hard not to have sympathy for the Saarebas. His chains and sewn lips makes the Chantry's treatment of mages seem much more humane by comparison. If I had to conceptualize a happy ending for this episode, it would be sending him to live with a group of non-blood mage (or at least non-malevolent) apostates. But he's a product of the Qunari system and seems content with suicide, which is what their system requires. Not a malevolent character, but rather inscrutable. (A slave content to be a slave?) My Hawke's walk away scratching their heads... 2. Uh oh...you're thinking like a male gamer! lol You're showing signs of "the male gaze"! Also, what Revas perceived to be Vivienne's shrine to Celene: It may have been there before they all went to Halamshiral, but Revas might be feeling a bit guilty now.... ____________________________________________________ Revas goes to Val Royeaux to investigate the disappearance of Blackwall. She shows up at the gallows, where a man named Mornay is due to be executed for the massacre of a noble family years earlier. The one clue Leliana was able to uncover indicated that Blackwall was interested in the case of Mornay. As they are about to go through with the execution, Blackwall suddenly appears and shouts that Mornay was only following the orders of his captain, Thom Ranier. "Blackwall" then confesses that he is Thom Ranier and that the real Blackwall is dead. The authorities then take him into custody. At Skyhold, Revas arranges to have Ranier brought to Skyhold for judgement by her. She decides that once Corypheus is dealt with, Thom Ranier will be turned over to the Grey Wardens who will likely recruit him as the late Blackwall had intended. She also decides to continue their relationship. (Gamer Note: I really hate Blackwall's new Tarot card! Ugh!!) As to Revas, during her time in the Exalted Plains, she clashed with the Freemen of the Dales and then went to the Emerald Graves to decisively defeat them in their stronghold. There, she became aware that the Freemen were working with lyrium smugglers. She brought the evidence she uncovered from the smugglers and brought it to Cullen who pieced it all together to uncover that the Red Templars under Samson had their major Red Lyrium operation in the Orlesian mining town of Sahrnia in the Emprise de Leon. Revas then sets out for Emprise, setting up camp in the sad ruin that is Sahrnia and finds out from the mayor how the Red Templars took advantage of the Civil War to acquire the village quarry and how they've been gradually taking away villagers ever since. She also finds out from a disgraced chevalier named Michel that the Sahrnia operation is supervised by a demon in Suledin Keep. Revas and her team sweep through the quarry, killing all Red Templars in their path and freeing many of Sahrnia's unfortunate villagers. They also find correspondence with Samson. They then cut through Suledin Keep and finally come face to face with Imshael. Revas resists his temptations and the battle is fierce as Imshael has the ability to take almost any demonic form. Finally, though, the demon falls and the Inquisition takes Suledin Keep. Gamer Notes: It was interesting to hear the banter between Blackwall and the others over his past. Solas is unforgiving; Cass ultimately warms up to him. I later brought in Cole and he unintentionally tortures both Blackwall (Ranier) and Solas! Cole says he knew Blackwall's secret all along; I wonder if he's fully aware of Solas' secrets?

I like when their preconceptions get shaken. It's just that I had wanted to side Petrice this game and so had created an Anti Qunari Character just for this. And then I go and mess it up. Which, it may have been an aggro Hawke only choice anyway, and Arkady isn't that. The more I've gotten to know him, and now this? no. He won't side Petrice. *sigh* I'll have to play that Meredith/Carver like Hawke and do it in that PT someday. 2.I accept that what you're saying is a joke here, but I'm intentionally playing a horn dog Hawke who has sex with all four companions, the prostitutes, Zevran, and flirts with Aveline and Tallis. That I'm keeping an eye out for other characters I could head canon my Hawke having a chance with just falls into the same goal. reminds me of the time my Cousland tried to offer sexy times to the dwarf in Redcliffe. And he turned her down, stubborn bugger. 3. Oh. That may always be there, but I'm uncertain about the candles being lit.

The Adventures of Arkady Hawke, two handed Warrior Reaver Act of Mercy
I wasn't completely sure Arkady Hawke would send them back to the Circle. But his thoughts on the matter is that Mages deserve freedom on a case by case basis. If they are obviously dumb or trying to murder people, then he's got to step in and send them to the Templars. That is why Idunna is with the Templars now. But when Daecimus's lover assured him that she'd made no deals with demons, he figured. Eh. Maybe Decimus had really been the bad egg after all, and this chick and Alain were okay. So, when she asked for help, he said,
"Sure, Why not? Have plenty of enemies, let's add the Templars. Whatcha need me to do?" And I was like "Crap, I brought the wrong people for this."
But then she asked him to murder Ser Thrask, the very man who had sent Hawke in to save these mages. Arkady Hawke realized he'd made a misstep in judgement. This woman was obviously a bit more kill happy than he was willing to allow in an escaped Apostate. And therefore, he only felt some remorse and doubt about sending her and her other friend back to the Templars. Thrask's assurance that he would make sure they'd go back unharmed assuaged him somewhat.
Time for the Deep Roads, folks. It'll be the first time I get a Warden Bethany. ^^

Ooo, Foreshadowing. "It's the Templars or the Darkspawn, mother. At least I'm allowed to fight the Darkspawn." Darkspawn it is, Bethany. Darkspawn it is. Oooof. Leandra's Disappointment stare is harsher with Bethany than it was Carver. Varric"I wouldn't call him innocent." By the way, I head canon that Arkady Hawke had a little chat with Masha. "I could die, Macha. But I must- for my family." Giggity giggity. This is my 4th PT and I just used my first Grenade.

Egads, Blighted Bethany looked ten times worse than blighted Carver did. And then Anders was kicking DArkspawn butt and pulling a "favor" with Stroud to get Bethany a shot at becoming a Warden. So many feels about Bethany becoming a Grey Warden, way more than I remember feeling about her going off to the Circle. What is this favor exchange anyway, I wonder? "We are even." Stroud said. And there it is! Varric saying, "3 years later." At a stretch, we could say that he meant since the Qunari landed. And then in the conversation with the viscount, Hawke mentions years multiple times. The save even says "Year 4"

Killing blow on a Hunger Demon Rock Monster. Being a Warrior does give you more believable final blow cinematics. Blighted Bethany looking way worse than I remember Blighted Carver looking. The Arishok trying to tell Sarcastic Hawke something. Arriving home! And HUBBA HUBBA, whatever mod gave Hawke this outfit! Whew! Looks a bit like Dorian's. Enough video gaming for the day. Sorry, but I really don't like Viv and hearing that sob MEA char just reminds me of sly Viv. The way the char was placed also reminds me of Aria but Aria is a power unto herself. She's hard, merciless but she doesn't impose ridiculous dues, doesn't exploit the blood out of people, doesn't throw them out to die when they couldn't give up any more of their blood. She owns Omega but she also knows Omega is nothing without the people in it. The MEA char doesn't hold a candle to Aria and isn't fit to crawl up to Aria's throne. I'm hoping to kill that char a chance to kill "Viv".

I had almost forgotten how "alien" they made elves look in DA2. I could almost swear Merrill's skin is a very light green! In that last pic, your Hawke is definitely wearing some Dorian-ware; but that beard makes him look "Duncan-ish." I liked the elves of DA2. Well, the ones that were actually finished to be real characters, not the ones that look like they've been boiled in the pot too long half naked standing round the alienage. And that is a modded Merril, so perhaps not a true rep of the DA2 elves. Yes. I liked that beard and, after a visit to the Black Emporium for Act Two, it's the only beard I like at all. Then I wanted to increase his head hair. Show that time had passed but also look "neater" for mumsy, now that we're living in Hightown. In the end, I didn't like most of the hair either. Nearly all the "neat" longer hair was used by a lot of Templars in the game, or more appropriate for a woman. There was one that actually gave Hawke an earring too, but then he would have been a Duncan clone. Weird to think of a mostly default Hawke as being a Duncan Clone.

Finished Frostback Basin, this was quite a ride and I wonder what legend will tell about me (kneeling for 800 years...) I will have to go back to that bloodcrusted shrine, there was a quest there... What Pride Had Wrought: Loved the quest and Morrigans big part in it! How did she swallow the whole well so quickly? p.s. after now 108 hours... Morrigan is a brilliant character. I mean she seems to be involved in any- and everything since Dragon Age Origins (with a pause in DA:2, though she is on the run from Flemeth). I feel small compared to her story. It is a bit like Varric who is always around writing the stories down, Morrigan and Flemeth are always around shaping the story. I wonder how boring it would be if you do not complete the ritual in DA:O? I wish you could play all games as your original grey warden (like ME1-3). At the beginning of the scene she has this upside-down smile from DA:O, it looks really sad. She is like a lion.

I made an Inquisitor of what my Mahariel looked like in my head so I could use her as an RP picture for the RP group on here.
Ever since, it's got in my head what she would and wouldn't do as an Inquisitor. She'd romance Solas, for one. Big problem is that she's a Warden, in my head and in my RP. Not only is there no support for that idea, the conversation with Hawke's Contact would have to be completely ignored. Also, major liability if the Quiz is a GW, Cory would just take them over.

Picture post! Expect beautiful modded appearances. A mod for Keeper Marethari I decided I didn't like because it makes her look too young. She should be 50+ Cullen with long locks! Is time for Roleplay Fanfiction! I really love Merrills armor in the Arishok pic. Is that a recent mod? I would love to have that for a mage Hawke And you are right, Marethari looks far too young with the mod. WIth darker hair and skin, I would like to see it on Merrill - I always find her too creepy for a romance option, because she looks too much like a child to me and therefore, I never played the Merrill romance. I admit, I didn't do much in teh DA universe the last days, we have finally some sunny days here and I had to take advantage of it

You are correct! Trifles Minutiae would be proud! I found her under "additional voices." Indira Varma - the voice of Viv - is also listed as doing the voices for: "Moshae Sjefa / Sloane Kelly." I like, that BW uses the same va in different games. they managed to get a really talented bunch of people together and they should stick with them as long as they are available (a bit like Joss Whedon, who has actors, he works with in many of his productions). And I just love Indira Varma - did anyone has seen her as Kali in the episode 'Hammer of gods' from Supernatural? She was so gorgeaus, that I developed a serious girls crush on her Maybe that is the reason, I love Viv so much

A truly heartbreaking character and a fantastic performance. And Indira's role as Viv is outstanding, a perfect blend of courtesy and condescension. I'm very excited about meeting her again in MAI.

Dumb question; what's MAI? fylimar She's definitely a fine actress! My Inquisitors who've freed the mages have enjoyed despising her! Acting is a tough occupation; never mind fame, just being able to feed yourself is an accomplishment! I'm glad BW appreciates her; I wonder how important her role is in Andromeda?

Sorry, I meant Mass Effect Andromeda, so it should be MEA. Guess my love for DAI knows no limits. I think, we all here can rely to that I'm playing my human mage Inara at the moment - while listening to one of my favorite bands, Faun (if someone is interested - I linked some youtube videos under the spoiler tag, it's a mixture of medieval and folk music and therefore very fitting for games like DA). Inara just met Iron Bull and company on the Stormcoast and invoted them to join the inquisition. Now they are going to find some missing inquisition soldiers
I stumbled upon something directly DA related on youtube - I think some of you know, how much I hate Leliana 'elven' song in DAO - too overproduced and a voice that I don't find appealing at all (the latter is purely subjective of course) and now I stumbled upon this really beautiful version and thought, I share it with you:

In the Solas-Thread on the old forums I talked a bit about Faun, specifically about their song "2 Falken" because it always reminded me of the Solas romance. Do you happen to know that one? Also I absolutely love the name for your Trevelyan. It's got nothing to do with my main having the same name, of course...
