Is it me or are there more people swimming in here now that MEA has been birthed and all eyes are now turned to DA? * Did Solas's quest at EP. His answer to the Inq's restraining him from killing the mages is; Never again. I often wonder what he meant. Never again to what? The death of a beloved spirit? That seems the best answer since it could hardly be to being talked down from killing.

I got the impression he was forbidding the mages to ever try to use summoning again, since they can't be trusted to use that ability wisely. I can't tell you whether or not they listened, though, since there's no option to bring them to Skyhold to work for the Inquisition (so that they can be watched to make sure they don't do that again) or even bring them someplace safe before letting them go (they claim that they only did what they did in hopes of protecting themselves, and I think that's backed up by the fact that we find dead mages who clearly weren't killed by the demon.)

Went back to the Storm Coast with Blackwall, Solas, and Sera to search fro Grey Wardens. We found some sites where they had camped, but the Wardens themselves were long gone. While in the area we closed a rift, set up a couple of campsites for the Inquisition, and solved an Astrarium puzzle. We spotted a dragon fighting a giant, and Sera wanted to watch, so watch we did. The dragon flew off when the giant had just a sliver of health left, so we moved in a finished off the giant. Good times

I would have thought if he was directing that statement at them, he would look at them and they would respond. But Solas was looking into the air, as if recalling something else when he said that and the mages made no reply. So, to me, he wasn't talking to them. If he had slept as long as he did, with the former elvhen kingdom shattered, it follows that most of his spirit friends may have similarly fallen. What was left would be precious to him. In the year following his awakening, he may have witnessed the lost of one. Never again. Perhaps a vow to see to it that his friends are safe.

I have created two protagonists simultaneously, Vasco Ryder and Ebon Hawke. The idea is to switch between the two games as mood strikes me. I am not feeling energetic enough for MP, so I just want to hang in a couple of pleasant SP games, without feeling pressure to finish the run. Andromeda and DA2 are the most pleasant and suitable for chilling.
I was really uber tempted to make it Ebone Hawke, but I resisted. I did not do much customization wise, but male protagonists come out good looking if you go for dark hair/eyes, and there is always the Black Emporium. He is a Warrior, I intend Sword and Shield with a minimized cast of characters used (not recruiting Isabella, leaving Aveline to her duties, ignoring Bethany, and letting Anders run his clinic if I can). Focusing mostly on Merrill and Fenris to see if I end up falling for one of them.
Initially, I sort of planned to have a different run, with chivalrious Hawke doing Templar leaning choices, but... meh. It did not go all that great last time with an Aggressive Anti-Mage, so why get on my own nerves. I'll pick whatever looks the most pleasing. Ideally, I'd see Fenris rivalry path, but I am not going kill myself over it. If he betrays me, whatever, I don't care.

Fenris rivalry on mage side isn't too hard, but I found a bit harder than friendship. He agree with so many good choices. You can complete the romance only on 100%. For his loyalty enough 50% rivalry/friendship, finished Danarius quest, and the good answer at the Gallows. (He doesn't "betray" Hawke, he follow his own way, just as Anders, if Hawke don't crush him. I can't call it "betrayal". Fenris was always clear, what he think about the mages/templars.)

Inara saved some inquisition soldiers from an Avvar tribe and fought their leader. With her was team fun: Dorian, Sera and Iron Bull. After her return to Skyhold, Cullen told her about Samson and that he stopped taking lyrium.

Hey good folks. Did not have much time for it today, but made it to Kirkwall. It feels weird that you have to run around the rocks after playing Andromeda... :) The artwork looks so good after Inquisition (yeah, I know, i am the only one who thinks that)... :) Just a quick snapshot of the family before Carver died. So far playing Ebon as diplomatic. He is dreamy too. Figure 1. Three Hawkes... while it lasts.

(I'm still in Andromeda, I like it, but too much empty desert, and I feel on one hand a bit disappointing, on other hand a good game. Just as the Inquisition. And SAM a bit annoying sometimes... "Pathfinder, you have a new e-mail" No SAM, I don't ... again.)

I played Inara a bit more and she surprised me: I wanted to go after Jospehine with her, but she has her own opinion and is going after Sera - I thought Sera and a mage would be desastrous, but the topice never came up so far. So well, instead of Scribbles, she might end up with crazy bee-lady

If Inara doesn't interest this, they will be okay, if Inara a proud dalish, this can cause problems.

I always thought, that Sera had a problem with mages too, considering her disapproval, when you ally with the mages. But I just remember, she disapproves too, when you ally the templars (Lia conscripted the templars, that made Sera very happy) , so I guess she is more mad at both fractions because the fighting mostly hurts the little people

Not even dalish, just the dalish religion, and dalish pride. And she is childish. She annoys me very much, but I can't really dislike her, because she is too young and childish, but can grow, and have a chance to be wiser.

I was busy today. Inara cleared out Fallow Mire, helped Dorian to reconect with his father and told Motehr Giselle off for accusing Dorian, helped Cass to get the next chapter of her favorite novel, let Varric give her the book, found out that Josie had a contract on her life and helping her to change that and last but not least killed a dragon with Bull and got drunk afterwards. Now she is in Crestwood to meet Loghain and Hawke and helping the people there on the way. I have to say, Crestwood is still my favorite map. I played Lyana a bit more too. She rescued the soldiers in Fallow Mire and dealt with the avvar. She made Skywatcher an agent of the inquisition afterwards.

Unless your Dalish Inky is a complete sell-out, the Arbor Wilds will kill the relationship. Mages, Sera can forgive; the Dalish gods no way. Sera is squeamish about magic, but can tolerate it so long as you support her Red Jenny endeavors. As to gaming, I've spent the last week on a PT of Mass Effect 1. Someday I'll go back to finish up Trespasser with Revas. For DA, I have been doing a slow reading of "Last Flight." Three things this book is good for: 1. The fate of the griffons; 2. Insights into blood magic and how it affects the mage who uses; and 3. The story of Garahel, the GW hero of the fourth Blight. This book may finally answer the question about why Solas hates the Wardens. (Remember, during the first conversation with Solas at Haven, he asks what kind of a hero your Inky will be. When you mention a hero riding in on a steed, Solas says he'd have you be a hero who flies around on the back of Griffon (but "...sadly they're extinct!")

Yeah, Dalish and Sera will never happen in my games, I had enough Dalish bashing from her. She is seldom in my group in elf playthroughs, but I use her a lot with Inara and Lia. I think, she could work well with either of them. If Inara ends up with Sera, I will play the Josie romance with Lia. I have delayed the DLCs for a while, because switching from mods to nearly no mods is a bit annoying. So I try to play some of my other characters to the end of the normal game and then play the DLCs with all of them. Riya deserves a little break and some time with her friends and her lover. I don't think, Iwill finish Mass Effect 1. I found it a bit stiff. I already found out by playing the beginning of ME 2, that the general tone there seems to be more my cup of tea and since I dont want to import my ME1 Shephard (she is a Vanguard, I don't know what madness took hold of me to make her a Vanguard, I hate that class), I'll probably skip the reast of the first one. I finished the comic story about Varric, Isabella and Alistair trying to find king Marric. It was a nice story and I think, we have been introduced to the wrong daughter of Flemeth in the games, I actually liked the dragon lady

Cleared out most of what I had left of Crestwood, really just the dragon to go. I found some time for heroic walking... Then I headed to the Western Approach to meet up with Hawke and Stroud. I'm sure this situation will end well... Spoilers for big images

Went to the Forbidden Oasis with Cassandra, Solas, and Sera. (I skipped this whole region on my first playthrough, so I was exited to see a new part of Thedas. Then I found out it was just like the Western Approach. Oh well...)
Collected all the shards and some loot, closed the rifts and set up the camps. Entered the temple, but of course didn't have enough shards yet to open more than one of the doors.
The it was off to the Hinterlands to help Solas investigate an elven artifact that had something to do with the Veil. We dealt with some bandits on the East Road along the way, and afterwards took care of a camp of rebel Templars. We'll get to Redcliffe to meet with Fiona eventually, I'm sure.

In the Forbidden Oasis, you do get to pick up some useful gear that provide elemental resistance that might be useful in dragon fights. If you find every shard, you'll get a belt that will be useful in Trespasser. Note, this is a location that's very useful for "farming" on many different levels. Prior to the battle of Haven, it's a good place to harvest a Tier 2 metal for crafting purposes (paragon's luster).

DragonKingRebornGentle reminder that there are a lot of folks on this thread that can't handle the date requirements of lots of pics. So if you could pretty please spoiler tag them? fylimarI notice that Sera clothes seem to make your human inky more flat chested, very similar to Sera. Or is that just the angle of the shots? deadlydwarfI used a gibbed save for ME2. The games punish you for not playing the prior game by making it more difficult to role play. I used one myself because I couldn't finish ME1. It's very simple, and you can even pick what kind of Shepard you WOULD have played. For example, I picked a Soldier Paragon that saved the Council and did all the side quests. (without the pain of doing them! yay!) ME Saves
