Well, Andromeda probably received more immediate attention because... you know: I'll never look at Addison the same way again. Anyway, yeah, the massive amount of glitches in Andromeda. It's not surprising Bioware panicked. Patch 1.05 fixed a lot of issues. The recent patch, 1.06, fixed some stuff as well. The game is much better after those patches. So I've read, yeah. But it was kinda too late, as I've long completed the game by then... with a ruined experience. Well, to be fair to them, it wasn't the bugs that made my experience terrible anyway (more like the boring side quests and the average storyline), so... yay for them!

Skip through all dialogue and just do the missions that move the game forward. If not, that's ok.

Still working on DA2 but wanted to stop and at least make an Inquisitor file while some mods were still fresh in my mind and installed. Planning on going 2hand Warrior with this one so I have a nice all classes across the 3. Warden Rogue, Hawke Mage, and Inq Warrior. Kinda funny though cause the 2 hand swords are so oversized lol. Here's my char so far, only just did the very beginning for now. Will get back to it after DA2

I started a new playthrough of DA2. Playing a female mage. Sarcastic. I chose to kill Wesley. As soon as I recruited Varric, I went to the Hangman. Ordered 30 drinks. Went to the Uncle house. Talked with the mother. Went back to the Hangman. Guess what happened? Every patron yelled HAWKE. excellent. This happens if Hawke drinks 30 drinks. Now to go see about a Grey Warden.

Played with Lyana a bit more, my Dalish archer and Solasmancer She hunted a dragon in the Hinterlands, of course with Iron Bull in the party and they got drunk together afterwards - that drinking scene is just glorious: Still somehwat sober: Not all nerves are dead yet Completely wasted (Solas disapproves, I guess) After some healing spells teh day after that, Lyana managed to help Cole, Sera and Josephine with some tasks

Hey all - today Zevran asked for clarification of our relationship. I patted that lovely cheek and told him I'd always be in need of a good bootlicker. I also discovered my Qunari slave loves cookies. Hehehe. Had to rein in Oghren in the Deep Roads. He sprinted through those warrens as though he had been doing it all his life. Oh, wait, he HAS been doing it all his life. Damn! Anyhow, we exchanged some sharp words as it was impossible for me to guess what ghastly death trap that idiot might lead me into next.
All in all, a good day. Go us!

I realised that after several PTs so I generally don't bother to look at codex any more. I just clear up everything in every map in every PT except for the odd one or two that I don't find worth the effort. Like the letter in Hinterlands in a abandoned camp that says to bring some plant, Felandris (?) to some statue at the area near RedCliffe farms. You don't get the plant until much later and when the quest is completed, it's just some dinky loot and nothing else so I don't bother after the initial PT. This is a side quest that does nothing but wastes the player's time. I'd like to see the devs get rid of such time filler sidequests for DA4. But it's part of the immersion to make you feel immersed in the universe! You know, helping random strangers pick up their laundry when there's a giant gaping hole in the sky you need to close. Roleplaying! Honestly though, I don't mind side quests that waste my time if they provide a greater depth to the storyline like Witcher 3, but that's probably asking too much from Bioware. I mean, Origins used to do that for me, but how many years ago was that game? That quest just throws useless loot and has nothing to do with the story. There's another one at the Emerald Graves, a quest picked up from the corkboard. You go to the picnic place and a big spider pops out. You kill it, loot lame items and go on your merry way. Nothing to do with main story or anything remotely related to companions. Except maybe clear out a monster preying on unsuspecting single people. I'd prefer to have that monster have a greater impact; taking advantage of the chaos to do as it wont and the Inq comes along to clear that region of the predator. I don't mind the elf woman wanting her wedding ring back since it involved the templars but that little quest could have been so much more. Anyway, here's to hoping DA4 will turn out better.

Well, I wrapped up Merrill's mirror quest -the autocorrect on my tablet rebels against its Elven name, lol- and seriously, I dunno if I can romance her on a friendship path. She is a great and utterly believable self-involved delusional brat, and I can see a man completely besotted with her, but I dunno if I have enough of manly qualities to RP that. I've also finished the dragon and the Best served Cold, so now my party of Blaze the Spirit Healer, Fenris, Merrill and Sebastian all ready for the Last Straw. Gear maxed out, and whatever runes I found I stuck in there armor. Overall, sVe for the dragon battle, the game on Normal was a child's play. Love Sebastian with Sabotage secondary spec.
I am thinking to see if Andromeda is playable on my system, as a lot of folks report crushes after 1.06, and if it is not, I'd play all the stand alone DLCs I have not done and Legacy for Blaze.

Got stuck in the infamous white screen of death after that cheesy singing scene. I liked Leliana's singing in Origins, but this time, when Cullen started joining in too, I was like, "No. Stop. Please." Have to go through that shitty singing again after I've deactivated some of my mods. Pray to God, the Maker, and Lucifer Himself that I do not have to do it a third time. I miss the Origins theme. "Rise" was okay, I guess. Edit: Okay, to be fair, everything that came after made up for that cheesy singing, from the epic Lord of the Rings-esque background score hearkening the arrival of your new fortress, to the way Solas said the name of said fortress... "Skyhold." The way he built it up redeemed much of what came before. And not to mention Varric's little rather obvious name-drop of course ("I know someone who can help with that"). God, just let me speedrun the rest of the game till we recruit Hawke already! LOL Edit 2: Well, Hawke certainly got beat up good by the ugly stick. Damn the Inquisition CC. Someone get me my old copy of DA2 already. :poker: On a more controversial note, I might be more willing to sacrifice Hawke now, now that I see that she looks like a completely different person from the one I had loved so much. Sigh. Disappointing. This really makes me miss ME3 already. At least with that game, I got to import my Shepard's face correctly, not have her turn into a complete stranger. Ugh.

I cannot avoid to notice that Eggman approves if you put Briala in power (either by rekindling her romance with Celene, or by making Gaspard a puppet emperor). Now that we know of Eggman's plans for the elves... that's intriguing...

Now that we know of Eggman's plans for the elves... that's intriguing... Thb I have mixed feelings about his approval here. On one hand, yeah. He approves of elf in power. On the other, isn't she not one of his in his eyes? Also (The Masked Empire SPOILERS), I see him approving of her because of her relationship with Felassan and the fact that she was able to snach the key to Eluvians. But, another contradiction, wouldn't he also blame her for making Felassan " weak"? We know Solas comes around (if he likes Quizzy) and admits he was wrong about everyone being not people, but he could still be bitter about the fact that she was partially to blame (in his eyes) for Felassan's death.

I've not read Masked Empire, so I'll take your word here. I find Orlais extremely boring. Maybe Loghain's influence got me in the end, lol...
However, I've read in reddit that reuniting Briala and Celene maybe is not the best idea, for something that happened in that book (someone mentioned "abusive relationship" and that Celene nearly killed Briala). I guess I'm going to make Gaspard a puppet emperor.

I guess I'm going to make Gaspard a puppet emperor. Yeah, their relationship in The Masked Empire is not all sunshine and roses. Far, reaaaaally far from it. You see only the surface of this in the game. Which I'm not sure makes sense. Ok, knowing specifics about their relationship is out of Quizzy's knowledge (though it would be nice if they mentioned Celene's kneejerk reaction for rumors about her and Briala, "Leliana, provide info!"), but they really only grazed the surface of the conflict in DAI (you'd think Quizzy would want to attend the ball with as much info as possible, "Leliana, provide info!"). I don't like any options on WEWH, so just to make them as miserable as possible, I force all three of them to work together It doesn't matter either way, since epilogue suggests that no matter who rules, the trouble are brewing beneath the surface again.

And, there we go, the official end of DA2 for Blaze, the Mage-Tyrant of Kirkwall
The two things where RP did not quite push the game where I wanted it to go were: - I did not accumulate enough Rivalry Points to hand Isabela over to Arishok. That still annoys me
-At one and only one point I did not pick the “I support Meredith” option, telling Orsino and Meredith they are both wrong. Which made sense at the time, but from that point on, the game assumed Blaze supported mages, despite her always acting in concert with Templars. I guess that’s what lost Blaze the title of the Viscountess too.
EDIT: Apparently I got the title! Thanks, Catilina for pointing it out. I am still not sure which romance would have been better for Blaze, Sebastian’s or Fenris’, but since she did not get the title, Sebastian’s final “in another life” words, and the fact that he kept responding to her flirts while she was still committed to Fenris (and got that big “I can’t imagine life without you” kiss scene in the end) ultimately was more believable, seeing Sebastian should not overlook obvious viciousness of her character.
EDIT: Will throw it into the missed RP opportunities pile, b/c I did not know I would get Sebastian.
Despite my years in the West, and my deep respect for medieval spiritual leaders, seeing the Chantry blow up always connects me with the deep-set childhood belief that church stands for darkness and oppression, so I could not help but feel joy and triumph when the explosion leveled the Chantry.
By contrast, while the cutscene with Anders sitting there and the follow up conversation is brilliant, killing Anders is as understated as it comes. Either they were trying to keep the rating down from mature (I have no idea what DA2 was rated at), or all the resources went into the explosion animation.
Still, it had a profound impact. I thought I’d cry over Anders, but I guess the foreknowledge softened the blow, but it’s going to eat at me for days. Props to Merrill, the only one who spoke against executing Anders. That makes me forgive her every dumb-ass, egotistic and idiotic thing she did.
As a quest sequence, siding with Meredith in the aftermath actually made the Last Straw a far more logic flow imo.
Something that I did not expect at all was Carver’s re-appearance, and his dialogue had enough impact for me to put him in the party, and going to the ending with Fenris, Carver, and Merrill. It was mostly feels, but I also wanted to see if this party was viable for Legacy. It very much is (okay, I play on normal, but I appreciate the powarz!) Carver grew up nicely, and his personal tree is full of goodies that really compliment Merrill and my Spirit Healer when it comes to large groups of mages and other-wordly creatures. Having had played Inquisition and read a lot of discussions here on the forums, I was way more alert to pick up on interesting references.
When Orsino mentioning learning blood magic (but not using it) from Quentin, this time I fully remembered that it was him who killed Leandra. So, Blaze was righteously outraged. And, Cullen’s character and story really shined this time. If I ever add an Inquisition run to follow up Blaze’s story, Cullen’s sickness and his breaking free of Templars and lyrium will be well justified. Blaze made him kill the mages who surrendered.
Then, of course, Blaze told Meredith, that she’s the terrible bitch, and got through the final battle as a savior (again) of Kirkwall.
Yep, there ends the story of Blaze, a cruel Apostate who almost got to rule Kirkwall after eliminating every other mage in the city and made Templars bent the knee to her.
I'll leave Legacy for later, to use it as a bait to give Inquisition a try to romance that unfortunate, but unbroken Cullen.

(True, this was not today...)

I must have missed out on the title by saying that both Orison and Meredith were wrong in Orsino vs Meredith #2 Fight, in th ebeginning of act 3 when Ethina separates them eventually. I assume that you only to get to be a Viscountess if you support Meredith each and every time.
I suck at getting titles in DA games.

Replayed Legacy, because I wanted to take team different from what I usually take (probably going to replay MotA for the same reason). My usual is Varric, Anders and sibling. This time I took Anders, Fenris and Aveline. It was so strange to play with this team I find it funny (and confusing) how answers at the end of Malcolm's Will are switched up without sibling. Despite those not having regular tone icons you can easily say that top is sarcastic, middle agressive and diplomatic at the bottom. Also Anders and Fenris agreeing on something. Things really went mad. Aaaand... my WoT 1&2 arrived in mail today. Now I'll have no excuse when I mess up lore contained in them

Yeah, that was perfect
