As far as timeline goes, the events in the book "Asunder" are supposed to fall between the final battle in Kirkwall and the beginning of Inquisition. So perhaps three years from Kirkwall to the conclave disaster. (All this to show the escalation of the mage-Templar conflict -- and Inquisition has one area, the Hinterlands -- basically a training area -- in which the matter is basically settled.)

I don't think I've seen this expression on Meredith's face (at least not preserved in a screenshot). See that screenshot Bioware? If you were to remaster DA2 for my ps4, I could take a screenshot like that. Hint, hint.

Last night my Inky declared her love for Sera to all her companions and then completed Varric's and Iron Bull's loyalty quest (saved the Charges), and ran through WEWH (reunited Celine and Briala). I love my lady qunari, she is so perfect.

Said it before and I'll say it again now...I would pay double full price for a Frostbite remaster of DA2, and triple for Origins. And I am not ashamed of that.

Got my noble dwarf back to Orzammar. Fun watching everybody be surprised by my support for my bro. About ready to start hunting for a lost paragon.

Dragon fight! She got stuck up in the air for a bit. She also spent time being unhittable in the middle of the dragon baby hoard instead of up on the cliff. No fair putting your giant dragon butt between me and my targets.

Ooo, before I forget. I had three glitches in my DAO play through. One was Bella at the Redcliffe Tavern giving me endless high grade Shale crystals I could then sell at 5-11 gold each batch. The second was when I decided I'd protect Ser Otto in the Alienage Orphanage by locking him up in a protective shield. Then he disappeared. Soo... I guess I "saved" him from his pitchfork death. The third is that no matter how many times I left Arl Eamon's Estate in Denerim, there was always a maid standing in mid air when I returned. And no, you couldn't see her panties, I checked.

Interesting approach...supporting the brother who framed you for killing your brother Trian. What's your PC's reasoning? Or does he/she plan on making a switcheroo after getting back from the paragon search?

Or does he/she plan on making a switcheroo after getting back from the paragon search? Nope no switcheroo planned. I'm playing it as my noble knew how the game worked, but ultimately wanted nothing to do with it or the throne. When he first met Duncan he was already trying to be recruited into the wardens. So while he may not exactly approve of Bhelens methods, he did ultimately get him out and into the wardens. So odd as it is he still wants to support his little bro.

I'm so missing playing DAO and DA2. Sadly, when I changed OSes, I can't get them back, and I'm so spoiled with my mods, I don't know if I could play vanilla anymore. And playing with mods would require assistance that I can't get anymore, so, I'm out of luck. Yes, I'm that lame with the computer. At any rate, I finished the Western Approach and did HLTA. There aren't many wartable operations that become available afterwards, are there? I'll finish up these few then explore the Exalted Plains and Emerald Graves (my favorite map) before WEWH. I'm thinking of buying Descent DLC for running after JoH. Maybe that will perk me up. I even miss Hawke. Maybe I'll play DAO and DA2 without mods, just on punisher mode, and hope for no bugs. What OS are you on now? Windows 10? And which mods are your favorites? Installing certain mods can get pretty hairy, but others are very easy, especially those which use DAZip to install. Basically, you download them and click on them and it's all done for you. If you'd like some long distance help, just message me and I'll see if I can help. I'm not uber-tech savy, but I have been doing reasonably well installing mods. (I can't imagine doing DAO any other way now!)

Unfortunately I stopped my DAI playthrough It just got really boring and I don't know. Maybe I will pick it up later on, who knows I currently started a Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings playthrough though oh, and this screenshot I took because I never really noticed that this guy was pushed by the demon. Very cool

Inquisitor Douglas Trevelyan took party into the Deep Roads and met a Lady Historian called Valta, and much to this Controller's delight, a badass Legionnaire called Renn. We're now running around trying not to die, fall off cliffs and to find rusty gears. This is my second run of the Descent, it seemed to go on forever on the first run, taking Varric does seem to be worth the effort, Cole's not as observant as usual, besides i seem to remember that Cole's not great in the final fight. Dorian's surprisingly chatty. I kind of wish Cassandra could have made a comment about Leliana during the nug scene. I don't think Doug had been that freaked out since the magic goat business in the Hinterlands. Playing as Inquisitor Clueless is fun, "Only a blighted mind could come up with a puzzle that fiendish"-Honestly Doug, it's the Towers of Hanoi not vector calculus! I also wish I could have had more Renn. Sorry, chaps but i think he's the dwarf i'd most like to romance, Oghren and Varric take a step back.
One glitch that made me stop, the part where you have to kill all the darkspawn in Heidrun Thiag. I'n gotten to the "kill 2 ogres" part and although they both died, only one seemed to register, i must have spent an hour killing the constantly spawning genlocks and floating bald things that look like the vampires from the Fast Show (Darkspawn mages? Emissaries? They didn't teleport as much as the Emissary that came along after and weren't as hard to kill.) before i gave up waiting for the ogre to respawn or come back from it's tea break or whatever. Was it because I'd brought Dorian and he'd done his corpse resurrecting trick on one othem?
So we're currently camped in the Bastion of the Pure, but keep having to return to Skyhold to sell the loot and going back to build bridges. Cassandra and Doug are indestructable, providing they don't fall into the sea. That got a bit baffling, all of a sudden my party members lost nearly all their health with full barrier/guard or whatever, then I fell off a cliff. Ah, that explains everything.

I'm not uber-tech savy, but I have been doing reasonably well installing mods. (I can't imagine doing DAO any other way now!) I got hold of a British version of DAO ultimate edition and I'm in the US. My sister was pulling her hair out trying to work around it the first time and I'm not keen to dabble in it, knowing that if I mess it up there's no way I'll be able to figure it out to put it back. I'm running Windows 7, but went up from an 8 bit system to 16, so my DAO and DA2 got wiped. I might play DA2, because at least that one required only standard adjustments, but DAO, which I prefer, is too much. I might even try playing the vanilla game, and deal with the limited inventory space, bad armor, etc. It would be a real challenge, especially since without console commands I wouldn't be able to fix glitches. Thank you, though.

Thank you, though. Interesting. (I'm also in US.) Just looked at the back of my DAO Ultimate Edition. It says "Only for supply in the UK", so I guess I have the UK edition as well. For that matter, my DA2 was the French edition. Once installed, they gave me no problems with mods. Were the problems you had installing connected to copyright protection? I had that myself and had to do some troubleshooting to get around it. Once that's done, there really should be no problem for mods. Most mods simply involve downloading a file and extracting it to the override file. If you don't like the mod, you simply delete it from the override folder. If you change your mind, let me know. Just curious? How new or old is your PC?

Active day for my warden so far. He successfully explored the deep roads and encountered 2 paragons. While he figured the ability to create golems would likely help in his people's fight against the darkspawn, he ultimately decided with the way dwarven politics work it would never be used properly and agreed to destroy device. Then once back in the city, he got his brother officially crowned as the King. Then it was off to Denerim where we helped out the guardsmen, robbed a few people and ran into my wardens good friend Gorim. Also helped Leliana take care of some unfinished business and permanently shut down Marjoline. Back at camp made sure Leliana knew she was still a good person, but sometimes certain people just need to be taken care of. Besides chick was crazy lol Now the team gets prepared to set off to Redcliff...meanwhile a plot with a certain elf assassin appears to be in motion. Also just sharing a shot of my warden and team during the deep roads, gotta love mods

However, when I did, it caused problems at Soldier's Peak where Sophia's armor would become invisible. Any similar problems?

Any similar problems? I did not encounter such an issue on my playthrough. I think there was an optional file or texture for the blighted version of the armor, which is what Sophia had equipped on mine. Perhaps that file was missing on yours which is why it was invisible?

Otto and Dorian fell down several holes. It was tragicomic. Couldn't find the slaves in Hissing Wastes and decided to forget about them and let them rot. Sorry slaves, be easier to find next time. Fucked around in the bushes of Caer Oswin, taking in the beautiful scenery and nature. I think the rest of the team got a bit impatient and tried to photobomb a lot, especially Cassandra. Otto found an open vault of riches in Skyhold. Why was it open, and why was a weird quiz man standing there, he doesn't know. Otto started to find Cullen cute which was unexpected, he didn't see himself develop such feelings. He'll be attending the crowd of Cullen's next training session to gaze at his sweating bod.
It was a productive day.

Got everything done in Kirkwall up to starting Best Served Cold. I'm not a fan of this quest so I tend to put it off as long as possible. Took a much-needed break out of town to go wyvern hunting with some snobby Orlesians. Needed 3 tries to kill the Sky Horror and 2 tries to kill the wyvern. Got Prosper and Leopold in one. Decided to help Tallis at the end mainly because.....I did it the other way last time. Has anyone ever baited a small wyvern instead of the alpha? I never have. I imagine the fight is much easier, assuming the game lets you do it that way.

After a few tries, I just skip the fight and move on.

I sort of agree, but since Act 2 is already way busy, and in Act 1 you are too underpowered, gameplay-wise leaving it for Act 3 makes the most sense. I also can't really see Act 1 Hawke getting an invitation like this in the first place. Act 2 Hawke, possibly, but only because of the Amell connection.
While we the players know she's qunari, Hawke has no way to know, so I can't really hold it against him to do the mission later. The problem is, Hawke can't get the list from her or do anything about it once her real identity is known. If you could side with Prosper instead, if you choose to not help her, then it would be worth it, even if she ends up getting away in the end.

Even though everything is crazy, it's good to know Nathan has some options: pirate or viscount? It's like a DAO reunion when King Alistair comes to Kirkwall. This is possibly the most hideous outfit I've seen - it's the Messenger armor from MotA. I really don't recall it looking this awful on femHawke. Prosper's end Edit to add this one - view of the Gallows from Hightown

The messenger armor is not so bad :C, it's just lousily colored. It's quite dapper with the Robes of the notorious pirate color scheme. I do wish the armors were more...orlesian...and not just repeats of older armor. The Messenger at least gets some recoloring, bad recoloring, but still. The others are just the same models and colors as they are in game. I like doing MOTA in Act 1. It's easier to justify going on a dangerous heist when you are dirt poor rather than when you are rolling in money. Also, lots of free, tasty food is probably tempting when you are squatting in Lowtown. Especially some depressed ham. As for the invites, maybe it was just a yearly thing. Since the Amells were friends of the Duke's mother and Leandra was good friends with his wife, they might have been on the "always invite" part of the guest list, even if Prosper himself wasn't on really close terms with the family. Gamlen then either just threw away the invites as they came, or they got a special invite since Prosper (or the one in charge of the invites) heard that Leandra returned to Kirkwall with her children who were both formidable fighters, so he invites them to the hunt for old times sake. Leandra still throws the invite away, but if Hawke meets Tallis then they manage to dig it back up from the trash. Also given the diversity of the Dukes guests, I figure he was fine with party crashers (the more the merrier) provided they were interesting and behaved properly. Promising hunter with noble blood can be handy to know, even if the family fell from grace. As for what was done in DA today, nothing. But I might turn on the game to finish MotA with Floretta. Decided to try fighting the Duke on Hard because I had the chance to chatter. Figured it would be a good laugh to watch the party get steamrolled by Leopold. But no, they kicked his ass (and Chalon bit his butt) on the first try! Whoop. The Floretta kissed Tallis. Carver: Well, highlight of my day. Varric: Don't complain! Sidekicks get to watch! Carver: (Sigh) But seriously, Carver should have gotten the kiss, since I messed up at the end of the fight. Tallis got knocked out, then Varric, Flo and Carver got caught in one of the explosion (stupid mistake). Varric goes down but Flo and Carver pull through. Flo cast a healing spell on Carver, because he was her baby bro and way better meatshield. They cut Leopold to about 1 hit away from death. Leopold knocks out Flo, then goes for Carver. Carver dodges once, dodges twice and finally manages to smash Leopold with a Mighty Blow. Boom, victory! And then his sister get's the kiss. No wonder he's bitter.
