For myself, I think doing MOTA in Act 3 is a mistake. That's what I did and I wanted to strangle Tallis when I found out she was Qunari. After the way Act 2 ends, they're the last ones I want to help.
I sort of agree, but since Act 2 is already way busy, and in Act 1 you are too underpowered, gameplay-wise leaving it for Act 3 makes the most sense. I also can't really see Act 1 Hawke getting an invitation like this in the first place. Act 2 Hawke, possibly, but only because of the Amell connection.
While we the players know she's qunari, Hawke has no way to know, so I can't really hold it against him to do the mission later. The problem is, Hawke can't get the list from her or do anything about it once her real identity is known. If you could side with Prosper instead, if you choose to not help her, then it would be worth it, even if she ends up getting away in the end.
Gotta love it....in this DLC, you have the choice of helping Tallis or helping Tallis! Basically, the only real choice you have is whether to get indignant with Tallis at the end or taking her manipulation of Hawke in stride. At least in Act 2, when you're doing the balancing act between the Andrastians and the Qunari, you could justify it as part of power politics. As a Ferelden, Hawke fears possible Orlesian expansionist ambitions. After what happens at the end of Act 2, all of sudden the Orlesians don't look so bad.

I didn't do any DA gaming, but last night, I had a dream I got corrupted by a possessed Grey Warden. That pretty much shocked me awake at 2am with bloodshot eyes

Even though everything is crazy, it's good to know Nathan has some options: pirate or viscount? It's like a DAO reunion when King Alistair comes to Kirkwall. This is possibly the most hideous outfit I've seen - it's the Messenger armor from MotA. I really don't recall it looking this awful on femHawke. Prosper's end Edit to add this one - view of the Gallows from Hightown The female armor looks a bit less ridiculous. At least it isn't all poofy.

And the special armor from Legacy looks like Warden armor. I have a screenshot somewhere but I can't find it....again!

-snip- Actually, I think on a mage it looks like Chantry sister robes. That's why I don't remember it looking like this. And the special armor from Legacy looks like Warden armor. I have a screenshot somewhere but I can't find it....again! Different classes get different armor sets. Mages get Robes of Enchanter Illana, which are those dapper Chantry robes all the Chanters are sporting + a graceful hat. Warriors get the Orlesian Lancer, which is the same armor model as the Armor of the Fallen, which is the unique armor set for Warriors in act 2. And rogues get the Coat of the Messenger. Which is a red recolor of the Robes of the Noterious Pirate, Guardian of Ensalin, Cuirass of the Winds and probably more. Edit: And the dark patches are probably blood. Bottom of the item codex entry: Oh, another thing: thank you kindly for the handsome suit Gilbert was wearing when I found him. Alas, he has no further use for it. -Letter, written on vellum and sewn onto the skin of messanger Gilber de Marais, who was found naked and nailed to a tree on the border of his master's lands.(Those Orlesians are pretty brutal). Legacy just gives you different weight of the warden armor, mages get light, rogues medium and warriors heavy.

Ack, I'm a dork....it looks different for a mage because it IS different:
From the wiki: class-specific Messenger [rogue], Orlesian Lancer [warrior], and Enchanter Illana [mage] armor sets
No idea what the warrior armor looks like since last time I played a warrior, I didn't do either DLC. The Enchanter Illana armor looks like Chantry robes.
Edit: 'd

Today my canon mage Trevelyan just finished her adventure in the Temple of Mythal. And thanks to some wonderful youtube vids showing me how to do the puzzles real quickly she even managed to spare Abelas.

Otto played some Wicked Grace. He had a lot of fun. Yeeeeeeeee.Otto also attended a party. It was also a lot of fun. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. And I guess Otto went to the fade and back and allied with the Wardens and then during the party had to decide the future of a country. Varric is a cuck who deserves better than Bitchanca, Vivienne's sugar daddy died, Leliana killed nuns (well because Otto egged her on. Why? Because he wanted to, that's why), gave Cullen an inspiring speech about the straight-edge lifestyle and a shoulder to cry on cuz he is a cutie and Blackwall lied to us but Otto forgave him because he is a cutie also. A productive day!

Started Awakening. King Alistair and Surana still seem to have a strained relationship. He didn't exactly wish her harm, but it was a cool reception indeed.

Douglas' adventures underground came to an end. That thing at the end is a bit of a pain, isn't it? Doug was the only one left standing, even Cassandra was down. Not entirely sure what any of it means, lore wise, perhaps just that the dwarves know as little about stuff as the Dalish, when you get down to it. I have a vague theory about dwarves, titans and stuff but how that links into the whole fade/elf thing is still beyond me. Luckily my inquisitor isn't one for lore and is more worried about how the sea got there or why there are plants growing inside something... After this, Douglas attempted to deal with the Blackwall situation. Blackwall was very scathing about using underworld contacts to free him. Really, Blackers, sometimes I wonder why I bother with you at all. One step wrong and he's threatening the Inquisitor with dire repercussions of falling off the moral high horse. Pot-Kettle-Black, old bean. Stop blaming others for your tortured conscience. Doug sent him to the wardens, because he's a sap. Next time round I might leave him to rot. Amusingly I also sent Erimond to the Wardens. I kind of hope he passes the joining only to get eaten by a genlock. Douglas then went to lunch in Val Roy with Cole, that was much more fun. Cole flitting about delivering random advice on love and life was glorious. From Val Roy to the Frostback basin, not sure if i can be bothered with Gurd Harofson or the dragon, but I think it will back some nice additions to the reoccurring theme of "Douglas has strange encounters with magic animals". Then maybe i'll get round to kicking Coryface into touch and then messing with poor Doug's little mind in Trespasser.

Other things Surana did that I've not done. Told Anders she'd just tell everyone he was dead. And off he went. I was a little alarmed, and had to look up whether or not he'd ever come back Surana refuses to make people join the Wardens, but she did so to save Anders from death. Reminds her of her own conscription. Next, she wanted to give Nathaniel his stuff and just let him go. The Seneshal was upset about that. If anything, his argument with her just solidified her reasons. I hovered over the "Give the man his things and let him go already." While I looked to see if Nathaniel would also come back from this. I was pleased to find out he would. And off I sent the man to his freedom. I much prefer the "Let me be a Warden" speech over the "You biotch, you made me a Warden." When NAthaniel came back, Oghren was displeased I let Nathaniel become a Warden, so was Anders. And Oghren said, "Better watch out, he might pull a Zeran on you." I laughed and laughed and laughed. Ya Oghren? Nathaniel might turn out to be a passionate dedicated Assassin turned lover of mine? If that's your only warning then...moving along. Writers didn't take into account a Zev romanced Warden for that line? Are all the click points just for Anders? I've run into a tree and a statue and Anders' scenes happen. Also, Oghren said he'd been on the surface 2 years. Except he joined my party last, and the Wikia says it's only been 6 months between the Post AD Celebration Party and my being told to come to Vigil Keep. If I'd gone straight to ORzamaar, maybe he could claim 15 months.... I'd like to think a year had passed, which is the middle of those two points.
On an unrelated Hawke note... People sacrifice Hawke a lot because of the Flemeth prophecy. But why wouldn't the prophecy be about the mage/templar decision at the end of the game?

Interesting; I got the "he might pull a Zevran on you" once but this was after a PT in which Zevran turned on me and rejoined the Crows. Does Awakening appear to have transferred all other decisions your Warden made? Did you get a letter from Zevran acknowledging your relationship?

If so, that might be a way to fix things in a console game. social.bioware.com/page/da-patchesIt specifically says "For PC" ? Sorry, I may be confused about your question. The are patches for everything on PC. Some modders even created patches to fix things BW didn't bother with -- various powers that didn't work, etc. For console games, I would've assumed the patch would download automatically.

Some modders even created patches to fix things BW didn't bother with -- various powers that didn't work, etc. For console games, I would've assumed the patch would download automatically. My PS3 is wirelessly connected to the Internet and connected to the "Dargon Age Servers". So, I assume it did not download automatically. When I googled the page for that patch, it specifically said, "For PC." But I'm assuming they would have also released it for PS3, yet we know it did not auto download. he For PC directions say something about uninstalling and re installing the game with the patch download somewhere in all that, but I don't know how it would affect the save files. It sounds like something I'd try when we weren't in the middle of playing a game. I wouldn't want to mess up my husband's save file puttering around with installs. how does one even find the patches from a PS3?

Whelp, my husband's Siona Lavellan finished her play through. It took longer than I thought it would originally, since I didn't do the Forbidden Oasis or the Dirthamen Temple. However, since I have never played the xbone version before (PC player), I couldn't stop myself from farming schematics - no Golden Nug to use for this first play through. That way, if hubby ever decides to actually create and control a PC for himself, he will have some gear to wear and wouldn't need to go farming for himself. As for the end of Siona's tale, we played through JoH and Decent right after Mythal's Temple. Then we took out Cory and began Trespasser. He liked keeping her fairly diplomatic, so he chose to disband the Inquisition with the "grateful to all who worked in the Inquisition" speech, and had also said she would try and change Solas' mind. My husband did have some trouble getting his head around some of the lore, so we had a nice discussion after Cassandra finished reading the highlights from Varric's new book. Also gave him some of my own insight on what I think might come to pass, in the next installment(s). We will see if any of my speculations come to pass. It was interesting who he liked having in the party, during the different quests. His go-to warrior was The Iron Bull (even though he liked Cassandra well enough). He also liked Varric (knew him well from DA2), Solas and Dorian. Cole eventually grew on him as well, especially when he saw how I built him. He was impressed how quickly he could kill most enemies. The only character he never seemed to choose, was Vivienne. I grabbed her a few times, just so he could at least see how her specialization worked, but he didn't seem to care much. He adores Indira Varma, but disliked Viv (though oddly enough, Viv liked our Inky by the the latter part of the game - not thrilled however that softened Leliana became Divine). He also seemed to like Sera and Blackwall, but would forget about them most of the time. He was less likely to choose Sera because she was an archer like our Inquisitor (however he didn't seem to view "Bianca" in the same light, for some reason ). Eventually he just sort of forgot about her. I purposefully got Sera to high approval though, since I wanted him to see her a bit more. Also saved Blackwall and allowed him to redeem himself - I should note, that my husband did choose that option. But shortly after that reveal, he began to forget about Thom again. *shrug* It just goes to show, some characters stick with you better than others. Now it is time for me to complete a few play throughs, but all you people playing DAO and DA2, are making me itch to play through both of those games. Decisions, decisions.

Are all the click points just for Anders? I've run into a tree and a statue and Anders' scenes happen. Inside the Keep, click on the giant wine barrel behind Oghren (you can do this several times for convos with him). The picture next to Nate will trigger one with him. There are more in the various areas for each companion. Some, like the statue of Andraste at Vigil's Keep, will trigger convos for multiple companions (Anders and Velanna). They won't be clickable unless the right person is in the party. Since you are playing on PS3 and therefore can't use bug-fixes: 1. Make sure you recruit both Sigrun and Velanna (if you are going to) before getting Justice. Otherwise you can't do their Joining. 2. Before heading into the silverite mine, make a hard save. If you wake up with no clothes on, reload the hard save until you wake up wearing common/peasant clothing. I can't think of any other bugs off the top of my head.
