Storm coast, isn't it??? The dragon and the giant are fighting just around from where you meet Iron Bull...the dragon always flies off once you get too close, but if you wait long enough, it can get the giant down to little - or in some cases, no - health. Then you swoop in a loot the giant. Good times. Even better when Iron Bull is in your party and he sees the dragon and giant fighting, "OK! Now that's bad-ass."
LOL!

So after faffing about the Hinterlands for a bit, riding horses and kicking asses, I headed off to Val Royeaux to talk to the chantry. Then I found Vivienne and Sera now back at Haven. That face you make when you are really trying and failing to hide how much you dislike the person talking to you...

While the armor could be a bit monotonous in Origins, DAI's fashion show was over-the-top in the other direction. I especially hated the "Leisure suit" armors for mages! The best mage outfits were the ones the evil Tevinter mages wore and you couldn't get that! The one thing that wasn't a disappointment were the dragons. I'd say there are more dragons to fight than in the two previous games combined. I believe each area has one dragon you could potentially fight.

I started to play DAO yesterdady and decided to create a new warden whom name is Donquijote (yes like the one of the book )this character is very idealistic to the point of lunacy. I'm now in Lotharing the first thing i did was to undress from all of their equipment Morrigan,Alistair,Sten and Leliana (they are now naked to learn humility and I intend to let them remain like that for the rest of the game) then I sold everything to the merchant to make some coin in order to make donations and feed the poor in need, especially the family of city elves there. I assume you're soloing this time around? As Shale would say, the companions would be awfully squishy without armor! They seem to not be able to notice the difference:). Well i did found some new farmer dress in Lothering from the group of poor people who wanted to kill the Pc for the bounty.I will dress them with those even if they look very dirty.

Oh I love the fashion in DAI so far crafted some armor and its very pretty I also like the hood my inquisitor is wearing right now she kinda looks like an Assassins Creed character with what shes wearing right now looks awesome... Im hoping you can buy some clothing like they wear in Val Royeaux because theyre so pretty and I love masks like those
Yup... speaking of dragons
While trying to find a way to Redcliffe, my inquisitor got lost in the Hinterlands and accidentally stumbled into dragon territory... she, Cassandra, Sera and Solus killed all of the baby dragons and, while trying to find a way around, accidentally ran into the real thing. And were promptly murdered in a brutal fashion after barely taking less than an inch from the dragons health
Coming to think of it, other than Flemeth and the Archdemon, ive actually never successfully killed a dragon in any DA game... bumped into a few by now and theyve just completely decimated me each time The one in DAO in the sacred ashes quest I woke up and it just destroyed me so I had to reload... Then I bumped into one in DA2... also got murderized and had to reload Then the one fighting the giant flew away And now the one in the Hinterlands also muderized me The thing is right now I could literally fight like so many demons and live, but the 2 enemies that just bring everything to a halt are the guys with the shields and dragons... just cant do anything against them always been that way in every DA game... as soon as I get to a dragon I can literally just do nothing get murdered every time Ill go back when im a higher level I guess level 10 now and I literally could do nothing at all...
After reloading, my inquisitor DIDNT take a shortcut through dragon territory and rode her horse to Redcliffe where she met some mages, travelled through time, prevented a bad future and generally killed lots of things... Its nice to be in Redcliffe its nice to see how much its changed since DAO and that was actually a really really good quest and Leliana is awesome

DAO had one to fight (two depending on your choice). Awakening had two. Then DA2 only had one.
I like you was not happy with the armor, especially for a mage. Most of the armor was either over-done or just plain hideous. On one hand you got an outfit that looks like a coat and hooker boats with your shitty PJ showing through. Then you have another outfit- Orelsian Mag Armor- that looks like DAI's version of a Snuggie. I know lots of players were all happy with "The Skin that Stalks" but in my opinion, it only looked OK on female elves. The Griffin Armor was nice looking but that ridculious over-sized armored arm made it look like shit.
I would have liked simple armor and some mage robes.
But the armor was not the only problem, the staves were just as bad. Over-sized and most were ugly as shit too. You got one staff that looks like Zoidberg's head on a stick; then another which looks like a bunch of Rubuix Cubes smashed together. And every-time I see the base staff, it looks like a bird's nest with an egg entwined on the top of a staff. I would use the Lyrium staff but, jeez'us could they over-size it any more? I feel like my character is going to topple forward.
Anyways....
My character just got to Skyhold. Running around chatting with people. Just caught Cassie reading a naughty novel. Also Cassie plans on wringing Varric's neck if he brought who she thinks it is.
Then after all this chatting its off to the Undercroft to speak to Dagna and Mr Clean. Then I shall spend the next hour crafting everyone's arms and armor. On the plus side I don't need to worry about doing anything to their arms and armor for the rest of the game.
Once that is all said and done its off to do Cole's mini Skyhold quest then The Fallow Mire.

I finished it yesterday... and I wont be going back Also Hawke helped out Isabela, then went to Meredith about a problem. She was sent to find some mages... one she set free because he was just a silly person not a threat, and the other 2 she had to kill... when she got back she blamed the templars for all of it Last save she was on her way to go and see about a haunted house...

Cole: "I did not know. Why was I suppose too? Couldn't you?"
Sera: Cause if I brought it, Commander-stick-up-ass would know a bunch of his shields were gone. I told you earlier: bring em to me. I broke em down or something and BOOM sled for white snowy stuff. Unless of course we find that weird icky yellow snow stuff.
Cole: "I never heard of yellow snow. Is it lemon flavor?"
Sera: (laughs)
Varric: "Uh no, kid. Will talk back at Skyhold about, "yellow snow."

You're probably still early in the game and it's best you avoid the dragons for the moment. There are 10 dragons in various places in the game ranging from a level 12 (the one in the Hinterlands) to a level 23 later in the game: gamerant.com/dragon-age-inquisition-high-dragon-guide-locations/undefinedJust wait until you're beyond level 12 before going after the critter in the Hinterlands. That one's a fire dragon, so be sure to take a mage with powers from the cold tree. Once you get the hang of dragon fights, it's kind of fun and you get good loot.

So we went to Denerim, to settle the score with Marjolaine. We killed her Orlesian guards & she went running back to Orlais, leaving behind a very nice bow. It must have been a weight off Lelianna's mind, for back at camp she broke into song. It reminded me of Keeper Marethari, except Leliana has a beautiful singing voice, the Keeper, not so much. i.imgur.com/leYWESG.jpg(This is the first time I have had Leliana sing after just one main quest, it must be tied directly to Marjoraine's quest.) Anyway we were on our way to meet with the Dwarven King, when once again we were set upon by a group of assassins. Now normally I wouldn't hesitate at killing hired assassins, but one of them was kind of cute, and he wore a Dalish tattoo, so against the advice of my witch, I spared him & let him tag along. Leliana thought it would be good to have an Antivan crow travel with us... then maybe not. i.imgur.com/Kph3Mbl.jpg(seems he changed from rough leather to hardened leather mid battle, he must have got blood on it.) i.imgur.com/gdXbyU5.jpgAlister didn't like the idea at all, so I sent him back to camp & headed to Orzammar with the Elf. Leliana had heard stories of the Dwarven halls, but wasn't prepared for how large & grand they were. That, and that she thought Nugs were adorable, but probably too hard to catch for a pet. I just ignored her, she gets silly sometimes. i.imgur.com/wWPsajc.jpgLeliana tried out Marjorlaine's fancy bow on some carter thugs. i.imgur.com/VPiYTyU.jpgWith the Carter out the way, we were sent into the Deep Roads in search of Paragon Branka. I always thought the song always followed the "Nature of the Beast" quest? Well that's the only main quest I have done, so maybe it does. Also, you should try just quoting the relevant part of the post, so people don't have to scroll so much.

I'm almost finished with Ghilio's playthrough (for the second time, just with all the dlc's done now). Going to kick Corypheus in the butt, then the Jaws of Hakkon DLC, and then Trespasser. I'm thinking about giving him a haircut for Trespasser. That's basically all I'm doing, thinking of what kind of haircut I'm going to give him because I don't want this playthrough to end.

I finished my PT with Neria Surana. It had been one of my better PTs with a more strongly-defined Warden who was more consistent than my previous Wardens. Then I had technical issues when I returned to Redcliffe for the Final Onslaught... Remember, I recruited Loghain (after much pain) at the Landsmeet. But when I arrived at Redcliffe, everyone took no notice of Loghain and instead, spoke with the ghost of Alistair who spoke back to them. When I rejected the DR ritual, it cut to the armies going to Denerim for the final battle (as it was supposed to) and then my PC was on a ridge with Eamon and Riordan overlooking the gates of Denerim with no one else around and no way to get things going again normally. I then had to resort to console commands to get things working again....more or less. I was able to select my desired team of Loghain, Wynne, and Leliana. But when I bid the others farewell, I still ended up talking to the ghosts of both Alistair AND Morrigan. It asked me what choices I made for my army and then pretty much ignored what I plugged in. So I went into Denerim with Army of men, dwarves, elves AND werewolves, and golems (despite siding with Caradin). Notice no mages (I saved the Circle) or Templars. The fight preceded as usual until I got to the top of Fort Drakon. There, in addition to the forces I called up -- the Dalish elves -- I was joined by both Irving AND Greagoire! When the AD fight was nearing its conclusion, Loghain, who had been acting as my tank, went down. Before I could revive him, the cut scene kicks and my PC, Neria Surana goes in for the kill. Not what I wanted... (I had planned for Loghain to take the final blow so my PC could go on to Awakening and he would regain his hero status posthumously.) Then comes the coronation and...there's my PC, being honored as the Hero of Ferelden! I talk with Alistair and he's surprised that I survived. A dialog choice comes up during this conversation: "Morrigan saved us..." that implies the DR was done. (However, in my codex, it still has me rejecting the DR.) When King Alistair asks what boon I desire, I say independence for the Circle. Note, Loghain was no where to be seen post-coronation. Not even Anora mentions him. Another odd thing, Eamon says Connor is unusually "quiet." (Does this imply a deal with the Demon? I killed the Demon to save Connor.) Then in the epilogue, they mentioned Irving being imprisoned for a year before being shipped off to Orlais and that it took the Templars a year to clear the Tower. (Thanks for the "boon", your Majesty!) All else seemed okay, though they mention Morrigan having slipped away--possibly with child. (Zevran, you dog! Or was it Sten? Oghren...I don't think so...) So, looks like my PC got to have her cake and eat it too! She rejected the DR, killed the AD herself...and lived to tell about it! Now for some overdue pics if I can get imgur to work... The concept art I used to model Neria: [img src=" " alt=" "] The way she turned out... I used a mod to give her the concept art robe. The mod seemed to provide the proper hairstyle, but I didn't like the way it looked so I went with a short blonde hairstyle: [img src=" " alt=" "] I modded Leliana to look like she did in the famed Sacred Ashes trailer. Here she is at camp with Neria, now outfitted as an Arcane Warrior: [img src=" " alt=" "]

You're probably still early in the game and it's best you avoid the dragons for the moment. There are 10 dragons in various places in the game ranging from a level 12 (the one in the Hinterlands) to a level 23 later in the game:

Just wait until you're beyond level 12 before going after the critter in the Hinterlands. That one's a fire dragon, so be sure to take a mage with powers from the cold tree. Once you get the hang of dragon fights, it's kind of fun and you get good loot. Good loot? Sure If you don't use MODs. And it depends how far you are in the game.
I noticed something with the Hintertlands dragon. Bull is normally in my party for dragon kills. However I tried numerous times to get his dialogue to execute after the first dragon kill. Does not work. However if we kill the dragon in Crestwood it executes just fine. Its really weird. Just a heads-up.
Most of the dragons are fairly easy assuming you have good gear and a good party. I generally stick with: Cassie, Bull and Varric.

I've modded the hell out of Origins (note my last post), used a couple for DA2, but Inquisition? From what I could see, not many worthwhile ones for Inquisition or did I miss something?

That's one of the games truly great dramatic moments, especially on your first PT.
