Currently in the Hissing Wastes- going to clean this place out. After, its off to do half of The Western Approach then The Abyss.
And of course I'll have a slew of judgments to make. Mayor one makes me giggle - he is such a tool.
Always find playing Solomon fun! (Although it would be better if the Inquisitor weren't wearing his/her long johns...) Always difficult to find what's sufficiently bad for that one Tevinter mage who fooled the Wardens: execution or being made Tranquil?

Tranquility is something I am against, even those who are my character's enemy.

I noticed that the Arlessa and Bella are different. Is that the Dragon Age Redesigned mod or your personal touch? Also, your PC's outfit? From the Dalish mage mod? I don't remember seeing that outfit anywhere except on the NPCs. (A Chasind outfit?) The Arlessa was a previous mage warden, I tried to make her look like Charlise Theron, but when she didn't turn out, she got demoted to a supporting role. Bella and Valena, I just changed for the sake of change. The robes are starting equipment with the Dalish Mage Origin mod and are just called Dalish Robes, they have a minor enchantment I think. Probably they same as the chasind robes you get in the wilds, were they get their model from. Since I start the game with the Vestments of the Seer, I just transfer the enchantments with the winter forge.

I make use of Nexusmods, but I simply follow whatever directions are given; I don't know what it is I'm doing when I install a mod. I should also have patience and learn how to use the Winter Forge. Anyhow, the Arlessa does look a bit like Charlise! As to your PC's mage robe, I'm surprised she didn't get the green robe the Firsts always seem to wear.

As to your PC's mage robe, I'm surprised she didn't get the green robe the Firsts always seem to wear. Well, that's the thing isn't it. Even though my father was Keeper before Marethari, and I have the pure blood required of a Keeper. Marethari chose an outsider in Merrill, over me to be her first. Ashalle didn't tell me much of my father and maybe there was tension between him and his first. But whatever the reason, she chose Merrill. She'll probably be a much more responsible Keeper than I would have made anyway. I'm not bitter. I've gotten over it. I hardly ever think about it nowadays.

In DAI, I found the giant spiders And fought Darkspawn And made some judgements in Skyhold... one was put in a gibbet for throwing goats against the castle and the other was executed... apparently Solas doesnt share the inquisitors sense of humor In DA2, I actually let my girlfriend play for a little... she tried and failed to kill the high dragon But then I managed it!!! Merrill, Aveline, Varric and Hawke totally took it down I also finished Avelines quest and im part way through Merrills I killed the demon/the keeper and im just about to leave the cave

We had to threaten the clown at lake Calenhad into taking us to the tower. Seems the templars were having troubles of their own. Knight-Commander Greagoir said they had lost control of the tower, and were waiting on word from Denerim before invoking the rite of annulment. I had two reasons for wanting the mages alive, so I said we would clear the tower. Considering we were saving their asses, you think we would have got a discount from the quartermaster. I had to pay through the nose for a new belt and staff. I'm sorry I payed that girl in Redcliff so much for her father's crummy sword now. i.imgur.com/OoqOehi.jpgInside, the tower was littered with the bodies of dead mages. Then we came upon Wynne, a Human mage I meet at Ostagar, the night of the battle. She was with three other mages and some children, and was maintaining a barrier to hold the demons at bay. She said she would remove the barrier if we would go with her to save the mages. Morrigan wasn't keen on the idea, but I needed the mages. I left Alister there to protect the children, and went with Wynne. i.imgur.com/g38HTQ8.jpgSo we fought our way through blood mages and hideous abominations and demons, and some not so hideous ones. I don't know, there's something about a girl with big horns and flaming pink hair. i.imgur.com/N05jMPN.jpgThen somehow I ended up in the beyond, and a Spectre that looked like Duncan. Morrigan wasn't fooled by a spectre far too polite to be her mother. i.imgur.com/KwKNl5e.jpgBut my Leliana claimed not to know me. i.imgur.com/1AZobm0.jpgAnd Wynne was blaming me for the death of her apprentices. i.imgur.com/sKQuG7K.jpgBut I did learn a few things while I was in there. i.imgur.com/Onx89Sd.jpgNear the top of the tower we came across a cowardly templar, who wanted us to do what he could not. Even Alister can cleanse an area of magic, and he's not even a real templar. i.imgur.com/afJXony.jpgIn the harrowing chamber, we found the blood mage responsible for the carnage. i.imgur.com/5dMvXNP.jpgIt was quite a fight. Wynne is shouting "He's doing something to the mages, read the litany" I've read the bloody litany, you just keep us healed if your not going to fight! i.imgur.com/tmOLLxM.jpgThen when the fight was over, First Enchanter Irving credited the old mage with saving the tower! Yeah right, if it wasn't for us she'd still be hiding behind her barrier. She graciously admitted she didn't do it alone. i.imgur.com/HjQVPWY.jpgThe weaner templar had made it downstairs and was still sooking. Irving agreed to help us with the blight, as well as helping with the Arl's son. Wynne offered to come with us, but I said better you stay here and help all the people "you' saved. i.imgur.com/H2iOjr6.jpg

We needed to get some sleep before heading back to Redcliff to deal with the boy. But after a nightmare about the archdemon, the campsite was attacked by shrieks. i.imgur.com/ntYGIPg.jpgWhen the shrieks were dead, a lone figure stood on the far side of the camp. It was Tamlin my clan mate, badly tainted by the darkspawn. I told him we could heal him, but he couldn't get away from the song in his head, and attacked me. i.imgur.com/kHHdb3B.jpgAlister assured me it was for the best, but if we could have put him through the joining, maybe we could have saved him. i.imgur.com/nQZuixi.jpgAfter a sleepless night, the mages were waiting for us when we returned to Redcliff castle. They only had enough lyrium to send me alone into the beyond. i.imgur.com/9zuyzYA.jpgI spoke with the boy, and the demon showed herself. i.imgur.com/8xCM36B.jpgAfter a few battles, she realized she couldn't best me and made me a very temping offer for the boy's soul. Had I not been with Leliana, I might have taken her up on it. i.imgur.com/uJ7DmL9.jpgWith the demon dead, and the boy safe, the town set about sending off their dead and getting back to normal. i.imgur.com/03KJTvv.jpgOur serendipitous discovery of the urn, meant I had in my pocket, the ashes needed to cure the Arl. Once the Arl had been filled in on recent events, and how we had saved his life, the life of his wife and child, his castle and his town. He felt he just had to reward me with an old shield (It must be a Human thing) i.imgur.com/oX2EJVm.jpgThen he said he wanted to make Alister King! I said you better sniff a bit more on those ashes. Alister didn't like the idea either. i.imgur.com/XnDvYdg.jpgBefore leaving the castle, I thought we would have a look around for a decent reward. I found an amulet in a desk that looked like it was worth a bit. I showed it to Alister and he said it was his mothers. At first I thought he was trying to pull something, but he looked sincere, so I gave it to him. i.imgur.com/GpfTmyA.jpg Then he told me about a sister he had in Denerim, and could we go a visit her. Well, we'll be in Denerim anyway. We never found much of value in the castle, but we run into Connor and he seemed to be suffering no ill effects from his ordeal. Time to head to Denerim.

I started Trespasser with Ghilio, but because I don't want to finish this playthrough yet, I also started a new one I have a checklist of things I still need to do and I'm going to use this new guy for it: - give Iron Bull a redhead - accept the deal with the Qun (and inevitably get his heart broken in Trespasser) - punch Solas in the face - become friends with Vivienne - kill Celene - leave Hawke in the fade

Crafted some armors and weapons for my followers. I need powerful cannon fodder after all. Went to Crestwood captured that fortress and drained the lake so I can get to that rift. Now I have to go deal with that rift.

Well, starting Into the Abyss. Taking Cassandra, Bull and Varric with me (again).
Gawd this quest is about as much fun as getting an enema with a fire hose. Of course WEWH is ten times worst. That's more like getting an enema with lava.

Be nice to have a DA game that doesn't involve the sodding Fade. And WEWHs was about as much fun as watching paint dry.

Although, gathering memory balls for the third time, I did think the mechanic of it got rather unexciting and stale. I guess I like the DAI Fade because I get to hang out with my Hawke and Warden of choice for a bit. I have, however, pretty much decided I'd like to just not do Orzamaar in Origins anymore. I'm open to the idea that my first Origins Dwarf will make me like the place better, or give the nooks and crannies some meaning....but I doubt it. Nothing makes two would be kings pussy footing around and asking you to do their dirty work any better. The Deep Roads wind all over...which is realistic but..bah.

Dunno, I find delving into the Deep Roads far more fun then The Fade. In the Deep Roads its filled with Darkspawn sure, but aside from that you never know what you'll see. Where as with the Fade its..."Here's a demon and there's a demon, oh look another demon."
Now I am wanting to go into the Deep Roads and see hairless children, a golden long boat and giant skeleton sitting on a throne.

We went with Arl Eamon to his Denerim estate. Loghain arrived shortly after and the discussions went as you would expect. i.imgur.com/lfnV1M3.jpgAn Elven maid made it clear how Elves were treated in this household. i.imgur.com/D4mHswD.jpgEamon was waiting upstairs with an Elven woman doused in perfume, with makeup thicker than her Orlesian accent. She claimed the Queen was being held against her will by the Arl of Denerim. It sounded like a obvious trap, but Eamon said if it was, we were already caught in it. i.imgur.com/xd5Z8cj.jpgI took Alister with me so he could meet with his sister Goldanna on the way. The meeting didn't go as well as Alister had imagined it would. i.imgur.com/RiUZkmv.jpgThen on the way to the Arl's estate we were ambushed by the crows. Zevran showed up and thought he could finish what he started. i.imgur.com/O1M4FQn.jpgIt didn't end well for him, and I stared Morrigan down before she could say I told you so, but it didn't stop her grinning. On the bright side, we got a nice pair of drakeskin gloves for Leliana. i.imgur.com/8Zqm3fd.jpgThe Arl's estate housed a small army... we made it smaller. i.imgur.com/FiIhP2c.jpgWe came across an imprisoned Grey Warden from Orlais, but he was in no shape to help us. i.imgur.com/NkZRfbd.jpgi.imgur.com/2HE2qOD.jpgAnd then a Human nobleman's son being tortured on a rack. i.imgur.com/dvvEIoS.jpgi.imgur.com/gzqYmFq.jpgIn a cell was a handsome young Elf, but I had had my fill of them. His bride had apparently been abducted on their wedding day by the former Arl's son. i.imgur.com/okT0BM4.jpgThen we were face to face with Howe himself. He was a big talker. But couldn't back it up. i.imgur.com/ovDfsFU.jpgIn the lower prison was the asshole the Elf had told us about. But he did give me the key to his locked box before I killed him. i.imgur.com/xdgssMk.jpgThe next cell held a Templar who had clearly been tortured. He asked me to take his ring to his sister, Bann Alfstanna Eremon of Waking Sea. i.imgur.com/1c70q6u.jpg With Howe and his mages dead, we should be able to get the Queen and go. We found the Queen, dressed in a cunning disguise. i.imgur.com/xHw6AfG.jpgBut waiting for us in the entrance hall, were Loghain's elite guard. Ser Cauthrien said she was there to arrest us for the murder of Arl Howe. (in that sexy voice of hers) How she knew he was dead, given we had just walked upstairs from doing it I don't know. Many plots playing out here. Anyway, if she wanted to take me in, she should have bought more than fourteen guards with her. i.imgur.com/GZXb3jK.jpgi.imgur.com/JJoJkcs.jpgTo her credit, Ser Cauthrien was the last to fall. i.imgur.com/HI0bhdk.jpg Whatever Queen Anora's plans were, they clearly didn't include the death of her father's top Lieutenant. She wanted us to back her claim to the throne over Alisters' And said we should look to the Elven alienage for a way to bring down her father. i.imgur.com/JJKOGiJ.jpgRiordan, the Grey Warden was there and feeling a little better. He told me the location of a Grey Warden vault in Denerim, and said we could take anything that would be of use. There was not much there, other than a shield of great sentimental value to Alister. i.imgur.com/JuyxHjb.jpgThe Tavern was full of nobles, in town for the Landsmeet. Amongst them Bann Sighard of Dragon's Peak, who's son we had rescued from the dungeon. He pledged his support. i.imgur.com/phTGgj0.jpgAnd we gave Irminric's ring to Bann Alfstanna and told her where to find him. i.imgur.com/n30mpmb.jpgBefore heading into the alienage, we told Brother Genitivi about the Urn and showed him what was left of the ashes. i.imgur.com/mT6YOsb.jpg

To each his own...I liked the Fade in Origins, in Inquisition not so much. Origins captured the idea of a surreal dream world better. I read Masked Empire, so I got a better feel for the characters in WEWH, but I felt they underutilized the grand trio, especially Briala. I do like the Deep Roads and that, at least, seems to improve with better graphics.

I finished DA2 this afternoon Still my favorite game ever oh my god it was amazing After Hawke left the cave she was approached by the dalish who didnt seem very friendly towards Merrill so Hawke took the blame and basically took a bullet for her and the elves seemed better after that Then she went to the grand enchanter and helped him out with blood mages and was her usual forgiving self with everyone who didnt try and murder her and then came The Last Straw She knew she was right to not trust Anders... not to help him... and that was, for her, the last straw. She stabbed him in the back for what hed done, which was a kind of... a rare show of anger for her. If theres one thing hes shown her in the game is that his desire to hurt people outweighs his desire to help them, and she knew it would just keep happening Then Fenris turned against her also so Fenris and Anders are dead Overall though the end of the game went pretty well I loved the adorable moment between Merrill and Hawke And Carver sided with Hawke which was nice good to see.

Anyone who'd kill both Anders and Fenris can't be all bad! Except for the ending, Act 3 was the weakest. I couldn't understand the quest where, no matter which one you chose --Orsino or Meredith--you ended up killing this group where mages and Templars were cooperating with each other. Huh? Aren't these the kind of people Hawke should seek as allies? I think it's the extraordinary voice acting for female and male Hawke that wins this game it's following. Did you ever get the "Legacy" or "Mark of the Assassin" DLCs?

Did you ever get the "Legacy" or "Mark of the Assassin" DLCs? Haha no she isnt all bad very "lets talk things through no one has to get hurt"... but she had fallen out with Anders during his personal quest when he lied about wanting to be separate from Justice so she basically gave him the silent treatment after that... not going to his clinic or bringing him along on her adventures or ANYTHING... they werent friends (even though in the game I had a full friendship bar that happened beforehand)... so when it came to The Last Straw she had enough and decided to put an end to him for what he had done With Fenris... she really tried to be his friend... but she couldnt bring herself to. He, like Anders, showed himself as untrustworthy and violent and she just couldnt be friends with him... she did try and convince him that they didnt have to fight, but he didnt listen to her. The fight with him didnt last long haha... fireball, gravitic ring, pull of the abyss, fist of the maker, apocalyptic firestorm, telekinetic burst = all enemies will be dead or dying I love using those things in succession. Fireball stuns enemies and deals some damage, gravitic ring then slows them, pull of the abyss drags enemies into the middle of the ring so theyre super slow, fist of the maker slams them into the ground, firestorm deals lots of damage to the enemies all in one place and then telekinetic burst makes them fly outwards... its both funny and great as soon as im against lots of enemies thats what I do Anyhow... Fenris was dead within a few seconds When the fight started he said "Thats what I get for befriending a mage" or something similar... I can imagine Hawke saying "Thats what you get for standing against one" when he dies... because bad ass lines are awesome. She did feel bad about killing Fenris (not Anders though) but she kinda had to do it Personally Act 2 was my favorite then Act 3 then Act 1 I dont have any DLCs for DA2 yet will play them though for sure

As an Apostate Mage, Anders looks longingly at Tevinter from afar. As a non-mage and slave from Tevinter, familiarity breeds contempt! That Hawke can keep them on the same side for most of the game is a small but temporary miracle. Dumb question, how did your Hawke find out Anders wasn't really trying to separate from Justice he blows up the cathedral? From my first PT, I remember Anders had us collecting you know what from the sewers and then there's the big boom and a massive sense betrayal on the part of my Hawke. On a second PT, I cut ties with Anders after he kills the mage we were trying to save from radical Templars.

On a second PT, I cut ties with Anders after he kills the mage we were trying to save from radical Templars. Yup... and unfortunately my Hawke didnt agree with either of them so eh Oh it was an option... after collecting the ingredients from the sewers for the "potion" you give him them and then (I think if I remember rightly) do the questioning options which basically lead to him telling you that he lied about what the ingredients were for... and Hawke at that point can basically say something amounting to that they arent friends anymore... so she helped him gather the ingredients but basically stopped the quest right after that... I actually got a weird conversation thing in the chantry where I warned Elthina about what was happening
