Haleir accompanied Dorian to confront Ponchard in Val Royeaux, managed to get his amulet back for him by some war table maneuvers and then they made out in the library. ... then broke in the brand new Orlesian bed together.

Part 15 Hawke Log
+ Now who has the time to be a good Templar recruit when one can be frolicking about with a blood mage in the sheets until she drags you away to become either food or a vessel for the abominations? + It's a good thing my dagger slipped else the icky blood mage would have made me stab me. Found a bunch of suspicious notes with an x marking a hideout. Better check it out. + Carver complained bitterly about ruining his boots on the booby traps until we found the bloodmages who put those traps there. That's when his big, big sword slipped... so did my staff. + Dragged what we found in the hideout back to Captain Cullen. The leftover recruit says he didn't open the door when the abominations knocked pretending to be his mom. Seems legit enough to remain a recruit for ten more years until the Templars make sure there isn't an infiltrator in their ranks.

Here's a supremely shitty cell phone pic of Gunna Aeducan at the Urn of Sacred Ashes. Lady Aeducan assumed she'd have to fight the Guardian to prove her worth, because isn't that how it's done? But these surfacers are strange, and had her answering riddles and talking to ghosts instead. Gunna is perplexed by the nuances of her companions' beliefs - except for Sten, who thinks the Urn is more like a wastebin - but she understands revering one's ancestors, and Andraste is an ancestor of the Alamarri people. Leliana and Wynne were suitably awed and all in all, it was a very good day. Especially the part where they left the Temple and beat the shit out of an angry dragon.

vertigomez I may not have been able to enjoy my Aeducan very much, but I do enjoy your take on it! Aww, thanks so much! This is my first time successfully playing an Aeducan, really. I really don't identify with nobles so it was a struggle for me to get into the right mindset, but once I figured out who she was as a character I began to enjoy her very much. Was there something that didn't click on your playthrough?

Was there something that didn't click on your playthrough? I got annoyed when I went back to Orzammar and it felt too much like my other Wardens, in terms of the way most of the dialogue played out. Just didn't feel right when all the various NPCs tried to explain the place to me. I also didn't like how I couldn't really "reconcile" with Bhelen. Well, reconcile is probably the wrong word anyway, but we couldn't both acknowledge the past and put it behind us for the good of the kingdom. And it was a little shabby that he made mockery of my Aeducan for having a commoner lover, knowing as the player that he does, too. There was just too poor chemistry, too much wasted potential, sucked my love of it right out. Taking a "dwarven" perspective on surface stuff was fun, though. Might retry it as a Brosca someday and see if it goes better, but in my head, the only Brosca that "works" is an Ultimate Sacrifice one, and that's something that, for "canon" purposes, I just never really want to do with my Wardens.

There was just too poor chemistry, too much wasted potential, sucked my love of it right out. I dunno, it feels pretty in-character for Bhelen to be a dick about your LI since he's a dick about most other things. Though I get how that'd be frustrating. Who was your LI? And I've seen the DN's return to Orzammar on YouTube but never played it myself, so I'm gonna take your word for it. I am no authority on the matter. But iirc there was an option to basically say, "yeah, you outplayed me" and make him King/regain your caste and title, which feels like reconciliation to me. Or at least as much as I expect from Bhelen. Ooh, for what it's worth, I loved Brosca in Orzammar. It was plenty satisfying to me - seeing your sister, your mom, having a stellar reason to support Bhelen. 10/10 would do again. Though none of my DCs have ever done the US. They give Loghain the second chance Duncan gave them, and he either sacrifices himself or does the DR.

I've always thought of myself as a "rogue and mage person", but between my dwarf warrior Warden and my qunari warrior Inquisitor I find that I really enjoy tanking. It's incredibly fun to just refuse to die.
Plus those dorf and qunari gals are thicc, definitely pull off that heavy armor 😎

Passed judgement on Alexius and the mayor of Crestwood. One of those few times I showed mercy on Alexius and have him working for my mages. Its ironic that Fiona is now in charge of him. The Good mayor got the ax as he usually does in my games. On to the Western Approach to do some exploring.

I would prefer having less severe punishments for him than the game offers. In my opinion multiple npcs perform far greater offenses like Fiona, but she can get a ridiculous punishment like Jester duty. Seems like a limp justice to axe a guy who is sorry and worked his entire life to fix it, while someone does batshit stuff and would do it again every time over but they can avoid the axe.

Fiona (the mage) doesn't get jester duty. That is an option for Florianne (the duchess). Fiona either dies (if you go templars) or wastes time doing nothing in the library (if you go mages).

Yea that one.. can't say I differentiate them much. They're both equally foolish, wear skirts and make bad decisions.
The only plus going for Fiona would be having Alistair as her son, else, I wouldn't have cared at all that I get to kill her in battle.

Part 16 Hawke Log
+ A snotty magister wants a run away criminal to be dug out of some creepy ruins the city guards don't wish to brave. + Found the criminal in a hole full of zombies and spiders. Now what a fine hobby it is for the magister's son to be abducting and abusing young elves from all over Kirkwall because the demons told him to. There is a nuthouse somewhere with his name on it. + Received accusations of being a dirty, scheming shemlen as means of thanks from an elf for saving his abducted daughter because he wanted the lunatic dead. Can't say he didn't have a point hence his dad threatened to put my head on a spike should I inform anyone of his son's hobby instead of carting him off to fix his head. + A local mine owner is complaining about ungrateful Ferelden workers, whom he gives a great favour by hiring them for half the minimum wage, running away from the work place like their butts are on fire. Since there are no volunteers again from the local authorities, someone has to investigate for profit.

They are chopped very fine and integrated into the dough, so it's not chunks.

Lol guys I finally found my screenshot folder so here are some oldies from my current playthrough. Gunna Aeducan in Orzammar before everything went to shit Feeling criminally underdressed Meeting her future wife Obviously enamored by the beautiful delusional murder nun "A little outside my purview, Wynne" This looks sanitary Alistair's naked because he didn't meet the strength requirements for any decent armor and I was salty and vengeful. Unsurprisingly he was too busy whining over his inevitable kingship to worry about being nekkid in front of the Arl.

Weeper Cadash finally got the tenth dragon yesterday. Among the spoils is a mage armor schematic that would have been a whole lot more useful before Solas left the party. (He also feels rather stupid for jumping into the arena. He had to walk all the way around to the other side to find a way down to ground level that only did minimal fall damage, and during the fight he realized there was a Maker-cursed door that opened to that level when he saw dragonlings coming through it.)
In another Thedas, Belwether Trevelyan touched the Golden Nug, and got a schematic that only Solas can use. Better hope he sticks around.

Team YOLO finally makes their way out of the Deep Roads. Haleir had something to attend to back on the surface which took them from the Descent main-quest. Well, actually he wanted to help Josephine stop the house of repose from assassinating her. Despite being an assassin himself he uses his skill to protect Josephine and everyone else close to him. ----- Cassandra, Josephine and Cullen walked in on him and Iron Bull. Yes, my Inquisitor is poly(amorous) for those whom are wondering. I head-canon him and Bull as more of "friends with benefits" though.
