Finally I had some time to play again last weekend, and since I like the diary style here's Dagna's latest entry. Somewhat lengthy therefore in spoilers. Dear Diary,
today Blackwall, Vivienne, Sera and I went to Redcliffe to see what Grand Enchanter Fiona had to offer. Strangely, Fiona denied having invited us and revealed, that the mages had pledged themselves to a Tevinter magister. Great, just what we needed.
We then met Magister Alexuius who wanted to negotiate. To my annoyance our talks were interrupted by his son Felix, who supposedly suffers from some kind of illness and the Magister hurried off to coddle him. I was surprised to find out that Felix had slipped me a note, asking me to come to the Chantry and claiming we were in danger.
My curiosity got the better of me and so we went to the meeting. Of course, a rift had opened in there somehow and another Tevinter with a hideous moustache asked for my help. Long story short: We did, I closed the damn thing and Dorian introduced himself. I told him outright that I did not trust him, but he didn't seem impressed. He claimed the time magic was Alexius' doing and that he had joined some fanatic cult. And guess what: All that just to get to me.
Back in Haven I consulted my advisors about all this and we decided to look further into the matter. [OOC: Just my luck, rolling IHW. Was hoping for CotJ. Meh.]
Alexius had invited us to Redcliffe castle to continue our negotiation and everyone knew it was a trap. I still decided to go and as if I had no word in the matter, Dorian insisted on coming along. I still did not trust him but since Leliana had found a way to sneak our people in as well, I wasn't too worried. Oh how wrong I was.
Well. Alexius was pissed and started babbling about some Elder One and that I was just a mistake. He did not make much sense. He asked what I would give him in exchange for the mages and when I said 'nothing' Sera broke into a laughing fit. Which undermined my authority a little, but whatever.
Alexius tried to have us killed but Leliana's people were faster. So he threw a tantrum instead. Remember the weird time magic we encountered before? He used that again but on a larger scale and Dorian and I wound up in a dystopian future one year from now. Red lyrium and demons galore. It was not pretty.
Dorian proved to be helpful at least and we managed to locate Blackwall and Sera, or rather their future selfs, and convince them to help us find Alexius and reverse the spell so that none of this would happen. We found Leliana, too, and boy was she bitter. Almost bit my head off when I said that none of this had actually happened. She had totally lost it. In the end all three of them sacrificed themselves so Dorian and I could return and undo this mess. Of course only after Alexius, who had gone even crazier, put up a fight, opening rifts and shit. At least we made it back and he surrendered immediately. We put him in a cell in Haven, I'm not sure what we should do with him.
And if you now think, 'Well, Dagna, this was one hell of day' you just wait for it, because it got even better!
When Alexius stood down, Fiona asked me (and the King of Ferelden, who was there, too, btw!) where the mages should go now. I told her that the Inquistion could offer protection. Then I conscripted them and Fiona was not happy about that. Well, they had given themselves to Tevinter, for crying out loud, how were we supposed to let them run around freely? Blackwall shook his head in disapproval.
So, now that we had the power we went to close the Breach. Surprisingly it worked well enough and everything was rainbows and sunshine from then on. Or not.
Because in the middle of our little victory party the the Elder One arrived, army in tow. Oh and also he brought an archdemon. I was SO close to just throw down my weapons and go home.
But I didn't.
So we did the only thing we could do: try to fight them. It didn't go too well, people died all around and it was basically a bloodbath. Mister 'bring that dwarf to her execution for killing the Divine' (I don't remember his name) took his sweet time to tell us about a hidden path that we could use to get away. Don't you just hate it when people try to tell you something important but start with the day of their birth? Yeah, but well, he finally came to the point that was actually important and so most of our people went. Not me though, I was determined to give them as much time as I possibly could.
Blackwall, Dorian and Sera accompanied me and we hacked and slashed and burned through lots and lots of Red Templars. Those guys are hardcore, actually eating the red lyrium! Some of them looked pretty freakish, I don't think it's healthy, but who asks my opinion, right?
Anyways, we managed to kill everything that threw itself at us and when we were just ready to fire that damned trebuchet, the Elder One cheated by sending his stupid dragon/archdemon thing again.
He then descended himself, telling me, again, that I was a mistake and that I should never have gotten that anchor and he was about to take it back. Well, what can I say, it didn't work. He then told me he would kill me, which also didn't work. (Who would be writing this stuff then anyhow?) He was basically one of those fools who like the sound of their own voice too much. By the time he had finished his monologue I already had launched the trebuchet and he had to get rescued by his dragon.
Unfortunately, the blast pushed my into some cave or something and it took like forever to find the way to where the others had fled. I should have just followed the shouting. (Cullen, Leliana, Cassandra and Josephine were yelling at each other loud enough that even the guys down in Orzammar must have heard them.)
Mother Giselle bothered me with her Chantry talk and I barely listened. When trying to get away from her and have some peace and quiet she started singing. SINGING, of all things. For some reasons the others joined in. They sang at me and knelt before me. Which was weird.
Fortunately Solas pulled me away to talk. Then he said I should be the guide and scout to the north and so I did. It was nice of him to let me take the fame for finding Skyhold when it was in fact him who nudged me in the right direction.
They then decided that I should officially become the leader of that whole thing. At first, I did not want to since only a few days ago everyone hated me, but hey, more power to me. So I took the huge-ass sword and everyone cheered.
Later I used that sword to lopp of Alexius' head.
And that's all that happened today, my dear diary.
Tomorrow I will be meeting a mysterious contact Varric had conjured up. I'm curious who it might be.
See you then, Dagna
[OOC: Sadly I'm really bad at remembering all the mood swings my little Dagne goes through, since it's a random PT and well, everything's random. She's causing quite a little confusion and her companions don't know if they love her or hate her. It's fun!
Not so much fun is that Solas told her yesterday that he cares about much in the world. Just not her. Ouch.]

My new Herald of Andraste, Alex, travelled to the Hinterlands with Cassandra, Varric and Solas and cleared the warring area full of rogue Templars and Apostate mages. They also helped the refugees at the crossroads, recruited horse master Dennet, then travelled to meet with the clerics in Val Royeaux. That meeting didn't go so well, because at first, Alex and Cass agreed to get the Templars' help with the breach, but Lord Seeker Lucius flatly refused them. Grand Enchanter Fiona happened to approach the lady Herald later and offered to meet with the mages in Redcliffe village. However, Alex felt uncomfortable turning to these rebels for assistance.
Before returning to Haven, Alex encountered Sera in a dark alleyway and dished out a few Orlesian mercenaries. Sera wanted in on the fledging Inquisition, so our heroine shrugged and allowed her to join the fun much to Solas' giant eye roll. Alex also got an invitation to meet the Imperial Court's Enchanter, but she didn't want to deal with more frilly stuck up nobles. Her pompous family was bad enough and she was happy to distance herself from them.
Catching up with the other advisors at Haven, Alex and Cassandra were still keen on getting the Templars' help even after the shameful display in Val Royeaux. Something fishy was going on with the Lord Seeker and they were going to find out. Cullen supported the idea, but Josephine and Leliana encouraged them to gain more support for the Inquisition. Meaning recruit more agents. Leliana mentioned about a lone Grey Warden named Blackwall in the Hinterlands, while a mercenary soldier, named Kremicius Acclasi, relayed a message to meet with the Bull's Chargers in the Storm Coast.
Alex and her team didn't waste time recruiting both Blackwall, Bull and the Chargers. But the lady Herald gave Bull few cutting words about not cutting out of line when he openly revealed he was a Qunari spy. Afterwards, Alex, Cass, Solas and Sera set out to Therinfall Redoubt to approach the Templars again. This time, with Josie and Leliana's help, they brought along ten Orlesian noble houses as life insurance.
Something fishy was really going on, Cassandra and Alex were right. Lord Seeker Lucius turned out to be an envy demon and half of the Templars along with their Commanders were taking an ominously red version of lyrium. Alex and her crew had help from Ser Barris and a few uncorrupted Templars to deal with the red Templars. Also, a young man named Cole helped fight the envy demon. Once their enemies were defeated, Alex had to make a hard choice for the first time. While she wanted to form an alliance at first, after experiencing all the horrors, she changed her mind. She asked Ser Barris and his surviving comrades to disband and join the Inquisition instead. Although some within Alex's inner circle weren't pleased with the decision, it was for the best. At least they accomplished their main objective to get help with sealing the breach.
To be continued...
On a side note, Mass Effect Andromeda will be out in a few months. I noticed there's a What did you do today in ME? thread in the ME section, but I take it that's for the Commander Shepard trilogy. What do you guys and gals think of starting a What did you do today in MEA? thread once the new game is released? Or should people post their pics and stories from MEA in the existing thread just like what we're doing here for all DA games?

From the diary of Kara Trevelyan: Wild life hunting has been a real pain in the butt recently. From the Great Bears and Giants of the Emerald Graves, to the Quail Back and Hyennas of the Western Approach, and then killed our first dragon in the Exalted Plains. That thing did not go down easy but it did go down.
Found a new home for Fairbanks's people in the Emerald Graves and wrapped up the Freemen of the Dales in that part of the area.
But perhaps the most curious event of recent passing was the assault in the Western Approach. Came across this rift in some ruins, it looks as though ancient tevinters were experimenting with Time magic...just like Alexius was claiming to. We dealt with the problem, though Sera was quite freaked out...and honestly so was I, the place was spooky.
Soon we will be engaging the Wardens. So I got a lot done in DA I yesterday. I had a nearly four hour playing session and yeah. Got a lot done. First off thugh it was funny, ran into this Quail Back in the Western Approach and I thought it was no problem. THing ended up wiping Bull, Cole, and I think Viv...twice!...And Bull had good armor. But when I did kill the thing it gave me 556 xp so I guess that was the mother of all Quailbacks. Fight against Lucannus in the Emerald Graves was fun. Had two party members down and it was just me and Cole but i figured I would hang around and wipe out as much of his support stuff as I could. So then me and COle ended up wiping him out. Mind you with the exception that Cole did go down so I had to get somebody up but we got the entire group, I was most proud of my team. Then against the dragon in the Exalted Plains, decided to go up against the thing willy nillu entirely out of the bue. Ended up bearly having a party wipe off the batt because 3 quarters of my team decided it was a good idea to charge through the electrified water. But in the end we prevailed. Now all my A team has crafted Armor and Weapons, with the exception of Sera.

It should definitely be its own thread, imo, simply due to spoilers. I remember being spoiled on stuff in DAI by reading it in the "what did you do" thread. Yeah, stupid me for reading what other people were doing that I may not have gotten to yet.

We will be setting up a spoiler subforum just for ME:A when it's closer to release. Today, I did things a little differently. Rather than finishing up most of the Hinterlands before swapping out my starting party, I quested just enough in the Hinterlands to have Solas suggest to go to Orlais. Then I recruited Sera, Vivienne and Iron Bull. I got Vivi and Bull geared so they get dragged around with me. Valena is a bit uneasy around Solas and isn't used to being around elves in general. Vivienne is fine by my character since they are both pro-Circle Andrastians. My current party is me (tanking,) Vivi, Bull and Varric. Thanks to having access to Tier 4 schematics, my party is in excellent shape. I'm using the tier 1 mats, but it can still blow away anything I could find. I managed to get down all but one of the rifts in the Hinterlands. I attempted the infamous rift by the farm at level 8. I was fine for the level 12 rift in the cave but the one on the river was a game-over. I suppose I should get In Hushed Whispers done first. After that, I'll either head to the Fallow Marsh or go finally meet up with the Templars. I can't see this character going to the mages for help. She's gonna take one look at Fiona, another at Alexius and decide that the templars would be safer. I'd considered taking her Templar for RP reasons. Not because of any mage hate or fear, but she wanted to be a Templar when she was younger. She only dodged the Chantry life because she became the leader of her family's personal security. She still went to the Chapel to pray every day she got home from training. I prefer Champion for tanking though. I'll probably go with that, but I'll wait and see.

Fresh from the siege of Adamant and her return trip to the Fade, Katriel arranges for the Inquisition to go to a ball at Halamshiral, where Empress Celene is negotiating peace with her rival, Archduke Gaspard, and the leader of the city elf resistance, Briala. Her team's goal is to prevent the assassination of Celene which was foretold in the potential future she saw while challenging the Venatori in Redcliffe. Here, Katriel meets with ambassador Briala, the leader of a city elf rebellion against the empire. i.imgur.com/2V9uP6d.png(gamer note: Prior to doing WEWH, I bit the bullet and installed some mods. Aside from the mod changing the colors of the Inquisition's finery, I also installed the mod allowing the Inquisitor to open all Halla doors and another allowing all companions to attend the ball. Kudos to Cantina for making me aware that were DAI mods that did other things aside from changing hair styles. The only mod that didn't work was one that was supposed to get rid of the silly turban that Solas wears at the ball.) Katriel finds the Orlesian custom of wearing masks rather odd. But she can't help but wonder what Briala looks like under her mask. i.imgur.com/dedA3FH.png(Gamer note: Readers encounter Briala in greater detail in the DA book, "Masked Empire." Having enjoyed that book, I'm disappointed that greater use wasn't made of Briala or Michel de Chevin. I would've liked to have seen these two as possible companions. Briala and Shianni of DAO are on the top of my list of DA NPCs I wish were romanceable. Oh well...) Perhaps the highlight of the evening was Katriel's dance with Dutchess Florianne, the sister of Gaspard and assistant to Celene. (Leliana and Josephine taught her well!) i.imgur.com/JQrxBBj.pngThroughout the evening, Katriel's exploration of Halamshiral uncovered questionable dealings by all three parties and uncovered Florianne as being an agent of Corypheus. After defeating Florianne, her harlequins, and her Venatori allies, Katriel arranges a three-way truce. Hopefully it will hold. Celene's first act in support of an alliance with the Inquisition is putting the court mage, Morrigan, at the service of the Inquisition. Katriel ends the evening with a private dance with her LI, Solace. With Morrigan's help, the Inquisition discovers that the forces supporting Corypheus have gathered near ancient elven ruins in the Arbor Wilds. The Inquisition and its forces mobilize and head to the Wilds. There, they find that the ruins are not abandoned, but defended by ancient elves. Morrigan initially theorizes that Corypheus is searching for a functional eluvian, but once there, they find out that C's objective is "the Well of Sorrows." Katriel's team finds themselves in competition with Corypheus' general, Samson, in their effort to get to the Well first. When they finally catch up with Samson, Katriel disables Samson's Red Lyrium armor with a rune developed by Dagna. After a fierce fight, they take Samson prisoner. They are then free to explore the temple and speak with Abelas, an ancient elf who guards the Well of Sorrows on behalf of the elven goddess, Mythal. Abelas wanted to destroy the Well rather than let anyone conquer it and use it for malevolent purposes. Katriel is able to convince him to let one of her party partake of the well. She then gets into an argument with Morrigan, who wants to drink from the well and then offer the knowledge gained for the Inquisition. After asking the other companions, Katriel decides to partake of the well herself since she believes that an elf should be the one to preserve the power and knowledge within the well. Katriel then steps into the well and begins hearing voices. She absorbs all that is within the well and briefly passes out. When she comes to, she spots Corypheus coming toward them and leads the party into the eluvian which allows them to escape to Skyhold. Once again, she has successfully thwarted the will of Corypheus. Once back at Skyhold, she meets with her beloved Solas. He is angry at her for having taken the well for herself. He warns that she has now bound herself to Mythal. After explaining herself, he backs off and they have a romantic moment. He then informs her that the facial markings the Dalish cherish are the marks of slaves and not part of the higher elven tradition. He then offers to remove them. Katriel reluctantly agrees. i.imgur.com/9TQGyKe.pngThen suddenly, Solas' mood changes again and he tells her that they must break off the relationship without giving an adequate explanation no matter how much she pleaded. What was the mystery behind this elf? With her focus on the task of defeat Corypheus once and for all, the voices Katriel hears tell her to go to the Temple of Mythal to summon the goddess. She goes with her team to the temple. Morrigan surprises them there. While the rest of the companions leave so that Katriel can summon Mythal, a skeptical Morrigan insists on staying to see what manner of being responds to Katriel's summoning. To the shock of both of them, an old woman appears -- a human woman. And Morrigan recognizes her: "Mother?" Morrigan's mother was Flemeth, the infamous Witch of the Wilds. But Flemeth was also Mythal, the two having merged. Flemeth offers the services of her guardian dragon -- if they can tame it. Katriel accepts and thus, her team ends up fighting another dragon. The team fought valiantly and the dragon yielded to Katriel. Now they were ready for Corytheus, whenever he decided to strike again. That moment came while Katriel was meeting with her advisers. With their army still largely in the Arbor Wilds, Katriel and three of her companions -- Solas, Cassandra, and Sera -- head to the ruins of the Temple of Sacred Ashes to fight Corypheus. Corypheus tries to have his blighted dragon annihilate them. But at that moment, Mythal's Guardian dragon strikes, temporarily neutralizing C's dragon. Katriel's team then attacks Corypheus who quickly summons demons to his defense. When the demons are defeated, Corypheus retreats up the ruins. At this point, the fight between Corypheus' dragon and Mythal's Guardian climaxes and both come crashing to the ground. C's dragon lands close to Katriel and her companions. Already wounded, Corypheus' dragon still tries to fight Katriel and her companions but is ultimately killed to the shock of Corypheus. Corypheus threatens to use his elven orb to destroy the world, but Katriel and her companions close in on him and defeat him. Katriel then uses the mark of the rift to send Corypheus into the Fade forever. As the dust settles, Katriel spots a despondent Solas holding Corypheus' now broken elven orb. She tries to console him, but he will not be consoled. After the other companions rejoin her, Solas mysteriously disappears. Was getting the orb the only reason Solas joined the Inquisition? With Corypheus destroyed and Divine Justinia avenged, the Chantry selects Leliana as the new Divine, Divine Victoria. i.imgur.com/1UK59oZ.png

Before I fire back up the game, a couple of other things I did yesterday. I started reading the DA: section on tvtropes since I'm done with Trespasser. --I found out what happens if you let Bull stay in the Qun. It isn't good. It isn't good at all. If you like Bull, save the Chargers. If not... He turns on you late in Trespasser and you have to fight him as a boss. It doesn't matter if you are romancing him or not. Cole won't even see the betrayal coming because there is no pain or conflicing emotions coming from Bull. "This isn't personal...bas." That gave me a shudder when I saw that scene. --I also heard about Leliana at the end of Trespasser if the Warden was a bastard and took her down. I stumbled into this earlier. My Wardens never attack Leliana so I'll never see this first hand. A memory of Leliana that manifested itself from the lyrium in the Temple? Um. Yeah. Also nice touch with the statement that she could come back at any time. I'm used to asspulls by BioWare writers, but that was a serious stretch even for them. I'll roll with it though.

Sure its an asspull but its kind of a freightening ass pull. Granted we do not know if BioWare intends to go anywhere else with this tidbit but the mere fact that Lyrium can manifest itself as a living, sentient, creature. Sure its a 'memory' but one that acts, and talks, and seemingly has a will of its own. Think of the implications, especially considering Red Lyrium, what we know from the Fade, and Descent.

colfoley Oh, I get that. I'm hoping that they aren't making an exception for only one character. The only reason why I think the explanation makes the slightest bit of sense is because of the story of Descent. Considering what we find out a lot more about that stuff is (more or less,) I can see how it could be used in such a way. It is out of left field though.

We know they made a mistake with the glitch in DA 2 which enabled her to be alive even if she was killed off. So they had to write a way around it and do one heck of a hail marry, the question is, where else will this go?

What mod did you use for Isabela? Definitely captures her DA2 look! I used this mod. www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/2636/?for the clothes, and made my own head morph, and gave her Phoenix Armory daggers. I used that mod for Flemeth's armour as well, but it needed a bit of editing to get it to work, so read rameyuk's post if you want to use it. By the way, did you try my Leliana? So we fought our way through cultists and dragons

Just a short one from yesterday, had no time to write up everything else yet, but I was pretty upset about it. Dear Diary,
I'm not sure what I have done, but pretty much everyone hates me now. The only exceptions are Bull, who is acting neutral as always, and Cole, who for some reason likes me very much.
Dorian was not happy about me executing Alexius but he thinks our cause is a good one and he will stay for that. Not for me, cause I dared to agree with him when he compared me to Andraste. I thought that was a good thing, but he was disgusted that I was "so full of myself". I told him that he could leave and I have no need for him. He objected but said he would go if I wanted him to. I was really close to kicking his ass out, but he can stay. For now. [OOC: Phew, lucky me, not losing my spirit mage - and gear.]
And if this whole debacle wasn't enough Varric is pretty pissed at me too. He produced Hawke, of all people, and Cassandra went mad. I watched as they fought it out and stood with her which he obviously disliked.
But Cassandra herself was also angry with me because I dared to remind her that we have a greater goal here than running around chasing some rogue templars and whatnot.
Same goes for Sera. She came up with some fishy plot about my soldiers marching through a town to impress and scare some nobles. I didn't really understand what good that display would do us so I told her that we don't have time for nonsense like that.
So almost everyone around is constantly grumpy and throwing me sour looks. Isn't it fun?
Gotta go, more about Hawke later!
Dagna
[OOC: Usually I want my character to be friends with everyone (or at least the ones I like, so no, not with Vivienne) and since I don't play jackasses it works well enough, even while staying consistent with the character instead of picking the dialogue options that yields the most approval. So this is very new to me and I don't like it at all that they hate my Dagna and everyone tells her what a bad person she is. It's not her fault she is a bit...unstable. Also no idea why Cole is still my fan. Dagna's been rude to him but he just doesn't care. Varric... Yeah, I had really bad luck, rolling all the worst choices. Everything I said netted me at least a "disapproves" if not even "greatly disapproves".

Depending on how "unstable" Dagna is, she might change in response to the negative vibes she gets from her companions. Or she may not... It depends on how much she really wants other people's approval and how confident she is in the decisions she makes and things she says.

Kudos on your Isabela morph! It's spot on! Did you post your Leliana morph? I may have missed some messages while out of town.

--Knocked out the Fallow Mire yesterday. The Storm Coast, Emerald Graves, the Mire and du Lion are my favorite zones. I normally despise swamp zones. Swamp filled with undead if you disturb the water? Why am I getting flashbacks to a different RPG? Eh, probably just my imagination.
--It's a nice change of pace leaving Solas behind. Solas as he is in the main game still remains one of my favorite companions. However, watching Vivienne telling Bull he needs a new coat to show off his chest is hilarious. She's a lot like a Tamassran, the priests and caretakers for the Qun. He calls her ma'am all the time.
As cold as she is, Vivienne isn't as bad as she appears. I don't have Cole yet, but I've already seen a softer side of her. If you take her to Redcliff and find all of those skulls, she sounds geninuely angry and upset. I smiled a bit at that. She acted like a real person instead of a social climber. She's going to stick around until after Haven. Then I'm swapping her for Dorian.
--I found out that Kieran was voiced by Odin Black, Claudia Black's real life son.

Vivian is very opinionated and very open about what those opinions are, but she's not an ogre. She's rough on Cole, but when you consider what he is and some of the things he's done (as described in "Asunder"), it's understandable she's wary. People differ in what risks they're willing to take and Cole involves some serious risks.

From the diary of Kara Trevelyan: Finally got the intelligence from Aeryn Hawke that the plan in the Western Approach was starting to reach fruition. Warden activity has been up in the region leading to a former ritual tower from the tevinter imperium. She urged that timing was of the essence and given her note was five days old we set out immedietly. It took us roughly two weeks to arrive but we did just in time to interrupt a ritual conducted by a Tevinter Magister summoning the army while also taking the minds of those involved. Have the Wardens fallen so far? I get they are desperate...but this is not right.
Stroud indicated that the magister fled in the direction of Adamant Fortress. A fabled Grey Warden facility that was put here to protect the land from the Blight. A fortress, we will need forces, and we will need a staging ground. With this in mind we struck out at Griffon Wing Keep. It was easier to fall then i expected, though it might have helped when Dorian cassed a new spell which coopted the corpse of the Venatori mage in charge of Griffon wing... gruesome but effective.
On the way back to Skyhold we stopped off by Val Royeu, hunting the lead Leiliana gave us. Calpernia does look to be a descent sort... why is she palling with Corypheus? Does she truly believe he can make tevinter great again?
Upon returning to Skyhold began coordinating the assault, talking with people, and upgrading the Keep. Lots to do.
On the Morrow we march... So this playthrough is starting to come together nicely. I stumled upon the idea almosy by accident but as it turns out I can give Kara her 'canon' look, (though not necessarily her best armor, still have not found FT materials i believe suitable for her) but regardless with all the main quests ahead of me, all the companion quests, and good chunks of the EP, WA, not to mention haven't even been to the Emprise or HW... well there could be a lot of pics with her canon look. Plus 9 dragons and a lot of busy work. Edit:Crap, crap, crap. I keep forgeting to ask if the Sigil of the Giant is good. It adds fifty percent to staminal but does 100% cooldown times... does that mean they are faster or slower? The bad news, or good news, is going into Abyss without tier 2 or 3 focus unlocked. But hey, Kara might get her scar back!

deadlydwarf Drag her and Cole around. You'd be surprised later on in the game. Her relationship with Cole has some depth. Sera's opinion never changes. I'm not letting Vivenne anywhere near the Golden Throne. It doesn't matter if I'm playing pro-Mage Freedom, pro-Circle or someone that gives a toss. A power-hungry mage as Divine? Nope nope nope. I consider myself more pro-mage overall, but that would be too much upheaval at once. Random Observations: What's with mages in DA games? Merrill and Dorian are overall the nicest outta the bunch but there is a weird trend here. Morrigan--Mysterious, caustic, powerful and cold. She's a bit xenophobic and not used to other people due to her isolation. She seems to take pleasure in slamming on other companions. Then there is the Dark Ritual and her bailing on the Warden. Valanna--The most caustic and angry elven party member in the entire series. She's also quite xenophobic and not used to people due to her clan. Seriously, she's worse than Fenris. At least he has something of a sense of humor. Anders--Possessed by a spirit that becomes a demon due to his own anger. "I'll save the mages by destroying a Chantry. It'll kickstart a world war." Holds pro-Circle mages, Templars and the Wardens in contempt. Merrill--She's a sweetheart. Almost too naive and kind. Of course, she had to be a well-meaning blood mage that allows her Keeper and possibly her clan to be murdered. <sigh> Solas--Mysterious, powerful ancient elf that screwed things up for his people the first time. "I'll save my people by destroying the Veil. It'll kickstart The End of World." Holds pro-Circle mages, Templars and the Wardens in contempt. Vivi--Power hungry, cold and caustic. She is sickly sweet most of the time and places personal worth above everything else. She seems to enjoy insulting most of the party and is quite vain. Dorian--Probably the most sane mage as well as the second-most kind mage party member in the series. He's a little vain, but otherwise is a good guy that gets along very well with the party. Even Cass and Sera like him. Hell, Solas and him can bond a bit over finding ancient magical artifacts. He has no hidden agenda, doesn't get too chummy with sprirts or demons and disdains all blood magic. He has no desire to restore his people to any former glory. He's also bitter but not nearly as angry or cold as Vivi, Val, Anders and Morrigan are. When he goes home, he starts to do some real good for his countrymen. So, hurray for Dorian. Anyway, I'll get back on topic for my next update.

My brain! it is burning from the studying. Must. play. Video Game. I haven't played Inquistion in 3 ish months and I wanna! But this time, I will try a trial that slows the levels. And be on Hard. And WHO SHALL I PLAY. I have so many characters I have created. But so many of them are related to my art project that I have to save them for later. SO. I'm thinking my Ameridan for Cass play through even though Cullen makes me sigh with missing and I have been super looking forward to Dorian too. ARGH what to do... Okay okay. Ameridan clone it is. But even though I initially planned him as a mage, I've been feeling an Archer for him lately. Oh, Cass. What brings the most drama. ... Nothing for it. He must be an elven mage. *RUNS OFF TO MAKE HIM*

Anyway, I'll get back on topic for my next update. You forgot Bethany, who is utterly and completely average, aside from having magic powers. No hidden agenda, no insanity, nothing I began my first time through Champions of the Just last night. Just barely reached the fortress, so I should be finishing it tonight. Cadash also had a conversation with Josephine about her past role in the carta, which I really enjoyed for some reason. I guess it's because it allowed me to give Cadash a bit of the personality I've wanted her to have, but which the Inquisitor's bland dialogue options don't usually let me convey. I've realized that Quizzy's dialogue options are fine for a sweet, kind, or religious character, but pretty bad for one with a rougher personality.

The shot of Ameridan I chose to mimic. My Ameridan: Difficulties: I don't think Ameridan's complexion is an available one. I wanted older, no rosacea, pale, no stubble <- there is not combination of that available. By the time I had the right wrinkles, he would either have stubble or reddened cheeks. SO OH WELL. I went with a younger complexion. My Ameridan HASN'T been holding a dragon frozen for 800 years so maybe he's not quite so tired. I also tried to make the nose flat with the forehead as I spoke to another player about, being more like the elven tarot card.

Did you post your Leliana morph? I may have missed some messages while out of town. bsn.boards.net/thread/31/today-da?page=44If you try her and she doesn't turn out exactly the same, post a screen shot and I'll try and see what's missing. I often pull individual meshes and textures out of mods and forget where I got them from. If you want to make small changes, I will post the .mrh file. Well the Ashes of Andraste cured the Arl.
