Medium armor are confusing. I want the "armor" version of the Prowler armor, but I don't have the schematics for it from the looks of it. I'm thinking of switching to a Dalish, because the Dalish scout armor looks great, but the others not so much. and I like when my Inquisitors looks pretty. I remade my female rogue Trevelyan (named Marjory), but I guess she's going to become a Lavellan instead. As a bonus, I'm better at making the Dalish looks good compared to the female humans...except for the ears, those always bugs me.

Alright, DAI PT truly started now. With the roguish Irmirill Lavellan.
A Dalish who isn't 100% into Dalish things.
I already went to Val-Royaux and recruited Sera and Vivienne. I helped the refugees at the crossroad and now trying to reach Redcliff to see if everything is fine that way (I'm going to do Champion of the Just, but I liked doing the mage stuff until meeting Dorian in the local chantry).

My last post is a lie. I restarted and turned my Elven Lady into a mage (changed her name to Atherill). I guess I can't play this game unless I'm using the Blade of Tidarion. The rogue DW skills keep missing because of the small rocks on the terrain just too annoying even if I was destroying everything while Varric keep getting himself killed. The rest of the plan is on, that is romancing Josephine. Update: Maybe not a lie. I really don't know which one I should play now , both are less or more at the same point content/story-wise.

It's me again, the person who average 10 restarts before being happy with a new DAI character. I played all the way until finishing Champion of the Just (which I love as a mission) with Irmirill and I started to think (which is always bad) that the Templars makes for very boring allies. So I was thinking of doing In Hushed Whispers (which always makes me roll my eyes) and while I had a save right before starting Champion of the Just, "Irmirill" annoys me as a name. I prefer the name I gave the mage (Atherill), but I really like Throwing Dagger now that I played DW rogue a big more. So I made a new rogue called Atherill. As a bonus, I think she's prettier than Irmirill even if they look very similar. Now to redo all the iron/elfroot simulator in the Hinterland to gain access to Redcliff Castle

After a 2 or 3 year break (I got sick 2,5 years ago so probably around that time I stopped playing) I got back into DA! I wanted to make an Inquisitor I never played before and make all the choices I never dared to make. So I set off on my journey... AND MADE THE EXACT SAME CHOICES I ALWAYS DO.

I updated a character slider mod to a more recent version and now when I craft something the default name of the object is all wrong (looks like dialogue text). Also, some of the mage armor arm pauldron is not at the right place. I have zero armor mods except for an elven pajama. I'm scared of what else is broken now...
update: I disabled the mod (only used when in the character creator anyhow) and if fixed the weird crafted item naming issue.

azarhal The crafting thing sounds pretty buggy, but I have a faint recollection that mage armor arm was just broken in the vanilla game. Think it was only with elven female armor, so maybe it was not a bug, just a feature. Elven glory! Also remember one of the dwarven armors being broken so the chest pieces went over their heads. Good times.

^ There's similar bug with one of HF's armor arm upgrades. Ah, so that's an "old bug" for the armor upgrade as I was playing around with a female human mage, but the other issue with crafted item names was clearly the mod. Now why human, because I find that Elves don't feel that much Dalish in the game. I really need to set up character mind/background that fit with what the game offers and that works with a Josephine romance (good thing I never liked Solas, no risk of trying that romance...right?). But Humans are so blah, lol. Also, why back at creating a mage...because I was playing with my latest Rogue DW last night and thinking that controlling the battlefield would be awesome after seen Vivienne do some grand display of power with my rogue. Also, I crafted Encore and I find a singing staff amusing (but it probably works better on a companion and not main). Anyway, my favorite DAO/DA2 characters are control mages (ice based in DAO and force mage in DA2). I just don't know which specialization/build to go with as the gameplay seems to favor pure damage dealing over controlling the battlefield from my experience. I suspect Rift Mage as it offers the most CC (and damage), but that's the last mage I played. ahahahah. By the way, I had all girl-party last night with Sera, Cassandra and Vivienne and I very much wanted to punch Vivienne in the face every time she opened her mouth. I think I'm not even going to recruit her on this character (if said character make it out of Haven ). Good thing that I'm on PTO for 2 weeks (well 1.5 now I guess).

I think this is the first time I recruited Blackwall after reaching Skyhold. Quite a bit of a different intro conversation near the lake and Cassandra basically talked more than the Inquisitor. I'm now wondering if Vivienne's party is different. Also, I need to decide which mage specialization I'm going to take. Decisions, decisions. I'm finally playing this with a Dalish elven mage Lady. Valyriel is her name. I like her a lot. I even beat my record time to Skyhold (6 hours 59 minutes, spacebarring conversation I had seen 3 times in the last week helped a lot). I started In Hushed Whispers at level 7, reached level 8 toward the end of it. And now wondering what to do. So many things left. My Inquisition needs horses. I need to investigate the Grey Wardens (that's why I went to fetch Blackwall) and get some foothold in Orlais to get invited to the Grand Masquerade to save the Empress's life too. And I got half of Skyhold left to explore (that place is large).

DAO
Finally finished PT as:
Tank (SnS) + my GW (SnS str/dex build) + Zevran (DW dex-build) + Wynne (healer mostly).
The goal was: my GW with str/dex build + Zevran running around the Tank and killing everyone.
When tried the first time: did not finish as 3 melees close to each other was annoying and inconvenient to play.
Tried the second time: actually was not that bad, and later got used to it.
And the goal was accomplished: the team was working just fine. PT was fast.
Team
Tank. SnS Temlar + Champion Did his job (mostly, when tactics worked). Healer: suppport, heal, buff. Later 2-3 attack spells. Offtank (sort of): DW rogue Zevran. Assassin + Duelist. Dex-build. Momentum. Another offtank: GW. Str/dex build. Templar + Champion.
Anyway. Nightmare. No cheats.
Zevran was the only star of each encounter. Was running and stabbing everyone. Killed the dragon. With AD had to replay as Zevran stole my kill, again. Did all that using the initial armor, crappy "everything". Only later had gold for everyone to buy armor/trinkets.
Tried another tactics in this case: set up tactics for Zevran to attack my enemies, thus using Pommel Strike to stun enemies worked very often as it is auto backstab.
Had my own kills as well as least.
The team worked together. Tactics worked (FTW). Liked this PT anyway. Watching Zevran running and killing everyone so fast using just initial armor with almost no deaths (Wynne had certain tactics as well here) was a curious thing. One of the fastest PTs in my DAO 60-70 PTs thanks to Zevran in this case.

I changed my "default" DAI party, the one I use like every PT. I swapped Cassandra for two-handed Blackwall. I'm annoyed with his Dorian banter exchanges, but beside that, he's awesome. Also, Dorian is now officially Valyriel's best friend (highest disposition among among companions and I got the scene related to it already lol). He's so coming to the Grand Masquerade now. A Dalish mage and a Tevinter Altus. Yes please, let those Orlesian nobles tremble in their knickers. Oh and the Hinterland dragon is no more. I'm just level 11, I was barely level 11 before killing her. I also didn't bother controlling/ordering anyone in the party outside my character and nobody died. That's a first. Only 3 health potions used on top of it. I still have so much to do. I haven't even gotten the horses for the Inquisition yet. Or stopped the Templars/Mages feuds in the Hinterland for that matter. I did save the Inquisition soldiers in the mire thought. I went Rift Mage by the way. I tried Knight-Enchanter first, but I find the Spirit Blade clunky to use. Stonefist is more awesome to use. I got the stuff for all 3 specializations, in case the first choice I made didn't work out anyhow. Now I have some crafting to do. Dorian and Sera are a bit squishy, I got a few fade-touched obsidian, they are going generate their own guard with the new stuff I'm going to make for them so I don't have to babysit them too much. edit: OMG! The Inquisitor has an ambient dialogue in Skyhold for " Finally a place for...the horses! I forgot about the Ferelden Horses".

On my 'same shit different Inquisitor' run I tried to get Bull and Dorian to hook up. My Inquisitor is locked in a romance with Cullen and I've been taking Bull and Dorian with me for every area/mission. All I have left to do is defeat Corypheus and the DLC but still no flirting between the two of any kind.

I made a new character. I got bored of Valyriel at the exact same place I got bored of my character last year, he was also a Rift Mage. Right after defeating the dragon in the Exalted Plains at level 14-15. I also got the "not feeling like a Dalish" feeling again while questing around the Exalted Plains. Then I was looking at Blackwall destroying things in his two-handed and he's also annoying me banter-wise, so I thought why not play a warrior again. I haven't done that since the game released and that was a sword&shield. So I decided to make a two-handed warrior that will go Champion. Then decided to play a faithful Inquisitor which I haven't done since release. So male Inquisition Valerian Trevelyan was born. I'm especially liking using grappling chains + pommel strike on mages or charging through everything (something the AI is terrible at). I also died doing the Apostates cave because I got stuck on the cave entrance (Solas/Varric moved in front of my character blocking him) and the apostates threw I don't know how many mines under my feet. In time like this I miss fade step, but outside of that, Valerian is destroying everything and hard to kill. It helps that I got tier 3/4 schematics thought...maybe I shouldn't be using those at low levels, makes the game easy.

Do dreams count? I recently read all the comics and my brain decided to let me play weird inquisition quests at night. Like receiving an invitation for the baptism (??) of King Alistair's firstborn (???) and having a war table mission to find the right outfit for the occasion. Yes, I may want to have my sanity checked by a doctor.

Their loss, I guess :') I've now killed Corypheus and started the Descent DLC. Not sure if their romance can still trigger (might take them to Frostback Basin to find out).

Valerian has done more than my last two (three) characters now, sorta. He cleared the Exalted March and the Hinterlands. Then met with Hawke's friend in Crestwood (Alistair). I also unlocked the Hissing Waste for the doggy merchant, but I'm too low level for the schematics I want to get from there. I can kill dragons, why can't I get those schematic now. Also, "To the Death" is just insane against dragon.
