So I am going post this here and also in the Any Other Game Out There thread but going forward just the any other game out there thread as this seems pretty dead in here. So decided to just do a DAI PT after finishing my 20th PT of MEA, just had the urge and needed a break from shooting things with a gun. Started a PT with an Elf Mage, have never played a mage in DAI even after 1.500+ hours of DAI. So going to shoot things with a staf instead of a bow as I usually do. Anyway started the PT but the Elf ears, just to damn annoying, why has no one made a MOD that reduces the size of the elves ears and why did it not bother me way back when I was playing the game for at least 11 straight PT's? Plus I forgot to update my world state so started again as a Human Mage with plans to play as a Knight Enchanter and here is Gawain Cousland, Warrior in DAO, Rogue in DA2 and Mage in DAI.  Got to Haven, went around Haven meeting people and looting Elfroot of course and Iron and shooting any animal that moved. Activated the Golden Nug, found the old dudes notes for Aden (SP?), found the tree site for the Requisition and headed to the Hinterlands. Went to the store and utilised a MOD to get LOTS of crafting materials. Found some Rams Meat and some Apostate caches, set up some camps and saw a dragon and ran away, oh and killed some Bandits. Also found a lost scout who was having a a romantic interlude with an Apostate and recruited her to the Inqusition. Oh and did my first Astrarium thing and activated a Veil monitoring device after meeting a Dalish Elf. It's amazing what I remember from playing almost three years ago but I had forgotten about how to go about quite a few things, will see what grief it causes me. The Mods I am using are:  |

I`ve decided to change a a few things in one of my worldstates and as a rule of mine if i change anything i have to play it  . So my first change was a minor one, i wanted my female Brosca to be the warden in this worldstate but i haven`t played her through Awakening yet, so that was my first task. Maeve Brosca recruited and befriended everyone she could into the wardens, saved both Amaranthine and Vigil`s keep and in the end she killed both the Architect and the Mother. I`m not doing any changes to my Hawke, so i`m not going to play DA2 at the moment, which takes me to the one i really wanted to play and alter some of my previous decisions: my female Qunari warrior. Nyreen Adaar found herself prisoner, with a weird green light in her hand and some recent memory loss. She decided it was best to willingly agree to help Cassandra, made the choice to go through the mountain pass and ended up saving the missing scouts. At the temple ruins she helped defeating a pride demon and closed the larger rift. She only just waked up in a small house in Haven. |

Shokrakar`s letters always makes me laugh  . I really enjoyed the war table missions related to the inquisitor`s race and i wish we could actually play it as side missions, at least the last one in the chain. i think it was a missed opportunity. It would be fun to meet some of the prior companions/family of the inquisitor. Has for what i did today: Nyreen walked around Haven, meeting people, chasing Rams with a sword (not the most pratical idea) and hunting Druffalos (I really wanted a new sword). Then she traveled to the Hinterlands, met more people, settled up a couple of camps and closed a few rifts. With enough power gained she traveled to Val Royeaux, where she talked with a chantry mother, lord seeker Lucius and grand enchanter Fiona (none of them were of much help). Before returning to Haven she was joined by an ambitious mage and a weird elf. Gathering some leather   Enjoying the scenery.  I love the height difference.  |

I just finished reading the first story in Tevinter Nights and it is really helping me get back into a Dragon Age mood. Not that I ever ceased to be a fan, but the passion grows cold after so many years without another game.
Patrick Weekes is great as always, though I must say that some moments felt a little cartoony like when Strife dramatically said "Your mistake was teaching us to work together!" or something like that.
It was nice to see that shapeshifting really is elven magic. I'm not surprised but it was a cool "Ha, I knew it!" moment. And it makes sense when you think about who taught Morrigan.

After getting Mod Manager to work and installing two mods I wanted, I started pt with qunari mage lady. It's actually my first time playing as qunari mage, so it's interesting to hear some additional dialogue I haven't heard before. I went with my go-to look for qunari lady.  Plan is to pick Knight-Enchanter specialization, so I did some save scumming on rift in Hinterlands near widow's house. I managed to get only one Wisp Essence, but it's better than nothing. Anyway, I already visited Val Royeaux and recruited everyone I could till that point. Next is visit to Redcliffe and getting that few last points I need to start Champions of the Just. I'm fighting myself to not complete too much of Hinterlands too quickly, but it's hard  |

My mage Adaar conscripted templars, then swept most of the Hinterlands (I refused to enter Hafter's Woods tho  ). Then some last Haven talks, cleaning what I missed and In Your Heart Shall Burn. I was tempted to do it solo, since that's how I actually imagine it going, at least the last part where you distract Corypheus. But nah, maybe another time. So after causing some cute avalanche, listening to awkward singing and sightseeing trip, Inquisition reached Skyhold, my girl became Inquisitor. I did some talking, some early companion questing and...that might be the end of my current pt. I'm just not feeling it. The further I went into it, the more I missed my canon Inquisitor. Dunno, it just felt strange not playing him. Which cues me in that I might have reached the point were I'll have hard time playing anyone else than my canon Quizzy. Had that happen with Hawke as well, where I have hard time playing different Hawke than her. Eh. I'll give it another try, but I'm not hopeful  |

Finished all the quests available in the Hinterlands, except for the one that needs Felandaris. Time to go the Storm Coast. Fighting a dancing Demon. Taking Druffy home. Convincing a very special Ram to return home. Fighting Darkspawn. Meeting a High Dragon. And picking up the most annoying shard in the game . |

Then she travelled to the Fallow Mire, defeated the leader of the Avvar tribe and saved the inquisition soldiers that had been captured. Varric feeling homesick. "The Waking Sea. Nyreen went to the Forbiden Oasis, collected the shards there and managed to open three doors in the Solasan Temple. Then she went to Redcliffe Castle and secured an alliance with the mages. Corypheus attacked Haven and Solas showed her the way to Shyhold. She`s now the leader of the Inquisition and met the Champion of Kirkwall. Exploring Forgotten Oasis and Solasan. Redcliffe Castle decor. The fight with future Alexius. Leaving the future and closing the Breach. Fighting Knight-Captain Denam. Ending the meeting with Corypheus. The new Inquisitor. |

With DA4 coming next year, I've decided to replay my canon Inquisitor. In her first interaction with Solas, I kept in mind her diplomatic personality (which doesn't mean a doormat) and respectfully challenged his assertions about the Dalish during the "Tell me about elven culture) dialogue. "If you know something new, share it". She will start off with a simple idealistic view but come to gradually understand the shades of gray. Generally a extrovert nerd with a love for bad jokes and hunger to see the world outside the clan. Currently doing some sidequests in the Hinterlands. |

Does anyone else here re-do almost every conversation because there is always a dialogue option that isn't what you expected? Or because you're torn about what your character should say. I swear I got stuck talking to mother Giselle for 10 minutes. no I generally just live with it unless it's something I really hate the outcome of.
