Hey what is this armour my Warden is wearing from old pictures, I remember it being my favourite looking armour. That's just heavy chainmail in gold. (that's Awakening, so it's probably Volcanic Aurum, but gold coloured Silverlite or Starmetal will look the same.) You could make that and then use the magnifying glass icon to make it gold colour in any metal. You could use the pen icon to transfer the enchantments from your current armour to it. Or you could use the padlock icon to add any enchantments you like. Edit: The Origins version isn't quite as fancy as the Awakening version. i.imgur.com/KEBJK2P.jpgClick on the padlock and put your item in the container. The two left hand (up and down facing) arrows scroll up or down through the Properties Categories. It defaults to Attributes category . The left and right facing arrows, scroll though the options in that category. ie strength, cunning etc. If you want your item to give you 6 cunning. You would hit the right facing arrow 5 times until it says cunning. Then click the icon to the right of the right facing arrow that says "Add to the Item" That will add 1 cunning. Then move to the next group of icons and hit the one with the + sign.(Item properties - Increase current) 5 times to give you + 6 cunning. Then if you want your item to also give you a "chance to dodge attacks" you go back to the left hand up arrow, and keep clicking through the Categories until it says Defence Then click the right facing arrow until it says chance to dodge attacks, Then click the "Add to Item" icon. Then again, across to the + sign and click that 4 times (for 25% chance to dodge attacks)

Will see how I am later this afternoon, thanks for the tips.

So starting to think towards the end game (miles away yet), William Cousland is in a romance with Morrigan but I want him to marry Anora. When you get to the Old God Baby part can you help Morrigan do that and marry Anora? Yes What happens with Awakening if you marry Anora do you have to start with a new Warden? No, you will see Anora briefly at the start, and she acknowledges you as her husband, and then it just plays out as normal. Downloaded a new Rogue outfit for William and some weapons and a mage outfit for Morrigan If you had the winter forge, you could have given her the witches robe without the need for other mods, and enchanted it any way you want. Poor Leliana is Orlesian and you have her in lavender leathers with green gloves! I'm surprised she has up and left. A quick lesson in the winter forge: Install the mod and then copy and paste this onto the bottom of your C:\Users\Username\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings\DragonAge.ini file. [WinterForge] OverrideMode=YES FreeMaterialChanges=YES DisableEnchantment=YES ReplaceProperties=YES DisenchantmentAutoStock=NO BonusesNbLimit=9 SimpleEnchantment=NO StoresRefillTimer=1800 StoresIgnoreSupplyLevel=NO SkipIntro=YES ExpRewards=NONE DEDestroyRisk=10% CampDisableRoaming=YES MatsStoreSupplies=NORMAL PreviewAutoEquip=YES TWFActionBar=NORMAL VFXDummy=YES EnchantGUI=NORMAL RestrictAnvilSkill=NO ItemPRPCopyMode=DUPE IgnoreUninstall=NO That will default the winter forge to cheat mode without all the complicated stuff. Take Leliana's green gloves off her. Drag the forgesmiths tools from your inventory to the tool bar and click on it. i.imgur.com/7OwMN9b.jpgi.imgur.com/G1OYAut.jpgClick on the magnifying glass i.imgur.com/pSEIBdu.jpgDrop the gloves in the left hand side. The left and right arrows beside the magnifying glass toggle through colours, to get matching drakeskin leather looking, hardened leather gloves. The up and down arrows toggle through materials, so you can actually make them drakeskin gloves. Make your choice and then click on the heart symbol to accept the changes. The anvil icon to the right, allows you to change the model. For example you could change the vestments of the seer to look like witch robes, or archon robes, or nobles clothing. Clicking on the curved arrow brings up a different toolbar. i.imgur.com/fSqypM6.pngClicking on the pencil icon allows you to transfer enchantments from one item to another. If your new Morrigan mod armor has a lot of enchantments, you could drop that in the box and then her default robes to get them on both. The padlock icon allows you to add any enchantments you want to any item you want. Finally, clicking on the anvil icon in your skills menu, allows you to create any item you want, and name it whatever you want. These pics where done in camp, just because that's where I was in my last saved game. Those DragonAge.ini settings allow you to use this stuff anywhere. (including item creation from the skills menu.) Well I tried for over a half an hour, created a Chest Plate but could not work out how to add enchantments or anything else. So true to form as I am usually hopeless at crafting.

First off, did you paste my settings in your dragonage.ini to enable override mode? So you clicked on the Forgesmiths tools, and then on the open padlock icon (override mode) Then you put your armor into the box that opened. Then if you do nothing else but click once on this icon (see pic) you will have added 1 strength. i.imgur.com/LgSIaWh.jpgDid you see the instructions I added to my last post?

Maybe someone can help me out. I haven't played any Bioware game in quite some time. I did startup DA2 for a few minutes a couple of days ago. I saw a few of the mods I downloaded were still in place. Then just a few minutes ago I wanted to play DAI. I wanted to continue a playthrough I started however long ago. In comes this ea app crap thing. I install it. DAI won't start. I decided to run MEA from frosty to see if it was DAI being bad. MEA launched, but it didn't have the mods I installed for the game. It was vanilla. That sucked. I went online to find a solution. A person reinstalled origin getting rid of the app crap. It worked for him/her. I installed origin. MEA launched with the mods I had for it, but DAI failed to launch. Any help would be welcomed.
To add, I fired up ME remaster with all the mods I had for that just to make sure it wasn't compromised by the app crap. It's ok.

Yes saw your instructions but i have no doubt it's me not you or your instructions.

Headed to Denerim with Arl Eamon now all the groups are recruited. Had an aggressive exchange with Loghain and Ser Cauthrien, then headed to the Arl's estate. Chatted with the Arl and Anora's chamber maid and reinforced Alistair would be a terrible king and Alistair agreed but Eamon was keen on continuing the Therin line. Went and chatted to Anora and got her to agree she'd marry William Cousland for his support. Then off to the Arl of Denerim's estate, killed everyone not bothering with any disguises and when confronted by Ser Cauthrien again slaughtered everyone including Cauthrien which was sad. Shame you can't get her to stand down or that she survives and you can let her go after defeating everyone else. Spoke to the nobles in The Gnawed Noble tavern, finished up a few other quests that were incomplete including the last Crow contract. Poor Ser Cauthrien Anora playing dress up Anora accepts William's proposal

slaughtered everyone including Cauthrien which was sad. Shame you can't get her to stand down or that she survives and you can let her go after defeating everyone else. You can, only not during this encounter, but before the Landsmeet where she will be waiting for you with the guard. Only obviously have to surrender during the Rescue Anora quest. Need level of coercion of course to make her stand down.

^ Can confirm that, though you do need the highest level of Coercion for it to work I tend to let her live whenever I also leave Loghain alive...seems fitting imo.

So cleaned up what I could in Denerim etc. some stuff is just going to have to stay incomplete. Weidly a couple of Mage quests are saying incomplete but have been done??? Did the Landsmeet, defeated Loghain, elected to make him a Grey Warden, Alistair got hysterical and left, agreed again to marry Anora and for some reason leliana thought I was breaking up with her? Morrigan was all fine with it, "Lets see how things play out". Loghain survived the joining, stupidly I forgot to get all the good stuff of Alistair earlier but fortunately through experimenting at the forge I had other stuff to give Loghain. Morrigan and William created an Old God Baby, then off to fight the Darkspawn, got led astray to Redcliffe, killed LOTS of Darkspawn, headed back to Denerim, killed LOTS of Darkspawn, Riordan went for a ride on a Dragon and fell off, William killed LOTS more Darkspawn and Wynne and co defended the gate. Next into the Palace. Pic's Killed slavers Killed Gaxkang Loghain spent the whole fight on his back so wasn't much of a fight Anora did what Anora does, makes speeches and bat's her blue eyes whilst gesticulating emotively Alistair does what Alistair does, has a whinge and runs away I felt SO bad. Loghain is such an upgrade in combat though that's for sure. Time to make a baby, lets call him Kieran, would have been funny if it was called Alistair. Anora rally's the troops Riordan flying high

I did JoW after beating Corypheus. Since the breakup with Solas is still recent, I changed her skin complexion to something that looks more... dehydrated, and her lips have a pale tone. That represents the fact that she isn't taking care of herself and is far too absorbed into work. When Trespasser comes, I'll change her back to show that she is back on her feet.

Wow lots done yesterday, played at night which I don't usually do. Defeated the Archdemon and William delivered the killer blow (actually Loghain did) well the coup de grace anyway and didn't die. Morrigan slipped away and Anora and William got married. I have never used the wedding ceremony it was quite good, would have been better with some voice over. Does Anora take the Wardens surname, does she keep Therin or does she revert to Mac Tir? Can they have a child given the taint and isn't she rumoured to be infertile? Also how did the grey warden help conceive a child aren't they infertile or am I getting confused with the witcher? Main point being is it not a doomed lineage or will they adopt Goldana's kids? Anyway did Lelian's song afterwards which is a bit MEH but good because i think I only ever played it once before. Pic's (OMG I had so many screenshots ) The Final fight and the end The Wedding Leliana's Song

So yesterday started Awakenings and curse you olnorton spent a lot of time mucking around with the Winter Forge. In that regard bought some Volcanic Aurum yesterday so hopefully now I can get my armour the colour I want it. I still do not seem to be able to access materials all the time unless I have collected/bought them it says "Material Supplies Not Found"? Oh and my helmet slot tells me I have the Helm of Honnleath equipped *but not visible" even when I have equipped another helmet? When I started the game it had equipped a differnent helmet. So got William's ass moving and having fought off a lot of darkspawn including a talking one and having a visit from the wife, did some joinings. Mhairi made a miraculous recovery or is now a walking dead, Oghren (why Oghren so many other good characters), Anders and Nathaniel all joined the Grey Wardens. Went to the basement and killed lots of undead including Dierdra (SP?) found bits and pieces and set some dwarves to work clearing the rubble. Invested in some better workers to build better walls, gave Wade some Veridium to work with and help out Turnip keep. Got some letters for a couple of quests and then headed to Ameranthine. Routed some Smugllers, found some poison (not all of it) and started tracking down Kristoff. Pic's The Commander of The Grey and Mhairi on a romantic night time walk. Well not quite so romantic Met this guy, was tempted to let him be hung, I am guessing of you choose that he escapes to be in DA2 Then met this guy, I am wishing I'd told him to leave already TBH, he will sit and gather dust in Vigils Keep. Mmmm met the Talking Darkspawn and killed it Caught up with the wife, she could have stayed the night at least. The Sargeant is a fan

I still do not seem to be able to access materials all the time unless I have collected/bought them it says "Material Supplies Not Found"? Check your dragonage.ini Does it still have: FreeMaterialChanges=YES DisableEnchantment=YES With those set to yes, it should not do material checks. In fact Winterforge materials should not even be in the game. But it might be because you imported a player that originally had that enabled. When you start a new character with the ini settings I posted it should be a lot simpler. Oh and my helmet slot tells me I have the Helm of Honnleath equipped *but not visible" even when I have equipped another helmet? When I started the game it had equipped a differnent helmet. I take it you had the Helm of Honnleath equipped but invisible in your final Origin save. Unless you use a mod that lets you import Wardens Keep DLC gear, Awakenings would see that as no helmet and equip you with the default Orlesian Warden helmet. (while keeping the bonuses of the Helm of Honnaleath.) If you do have it modded to show the warden's keep gear, then it is probably the No Helmet mod that caused the game to think you had no helmet. The game lets you keep your helmets in the silverlite mine if they are set to invisible.

When adding the Fade-touched ability to my armor, I went with "On dying: 10% chance to heal for half health".
Was it a good choice?
