I've mostly just been side questing. Chantry board, Blackstone Irregulars, Mages, etc. They aren't very interesting, starting a proud tradition that Inquisition would expand upon and most eagerly continue, ha. Whatever happened to the Blackstone Irregulars, anyway?

I don't know why I didn't notice this before, but the other day my female mage Trevelyan was having a conversation with Vivienne, and Vivienne said she was at the Ostwick Circle for a while before getting transferred to Montsimard (sp?). Is Vivienne supposed to be a lot older than the Inquisitor? Otherwise it seems like they should already know each other.

Joke aside, I believe she's in Cassandra's age range, so 35-40 years old. But the Inquisitor doesn't have a fixed age so...they clearly left that to the player's head-canon.
and I went to check the Cassandra/Vivienne banter and I forgot are funny they were (from my perspective anyway).

Thanks. Though for an Inquisitor older than, say, 23 or 24, it still seems a little surprising that the two wouldn't have already known each other, unless the Circles are large enough so as not to be an "everybody knows everybody" situation. I guess the Ferelden Circle is the only one we've really seen much of from the inside, and I don't remember there being hundreds and hundreds of people there, though even then you could rationalize that there are other areas just not shown in the game. (Now that I think about it, does a Mage Warden who survives for Awakening seem to recognize Anders when he turns up? He's supposedly from the same Circle.)

As for Anders, I don't think there is much of reference outside of like "I've seen you before". And Cullen doesn't recognize him in DA2 I believe.

The Circle tower (and with extension the Tower of Ishal) is a lot bigger then we see in-game. I mean, imagine having to render hundreds of floors... Therefore, Cullen not knowing who Anders is, isn't that much of a stretch if we imagine that he was stationed in a different part of the tower then where Anders usually was. Anders says he was often put in confinement, one time even one year of solitary (there are cells in the repository level)...maybe he was even there when the Mage Warden was going through the repository to get Jowan out. Anders was a lot older then most apprentices when he was brought to the Circle, we can imagine he was at least 10-12 years old because he keeps wanting to leave back to his mother. A Magi Warden was likely a lot younger, since they can tell Jowan (and Eadric if you're an elf) that they don't remember their family, or even where their family is. Jowan himself was 5-6 years old when he was taken.
Cullen's first assignment was to the Circle Tower, he was only 19 years old when he started there. One of his early tasks being to oversee the Harrowing of a Magi Warden. Anders says in Awakening that after his last attempt (the one before his appearance in Awakening) the Templars put him in solitary confinement for a year. Thus, he was in the Circle during the Blight, but didn't really see much of the revolt...aside from the cat Mr. Wiggums (allegedly) turning into a rage demon and killing a few templars before being put down. Ergo, if we conclude that the Tower is bigger than we see in-game, it's highly possible Anders and Cullen never ran into each other if Anders did another of his escape attempts before Cullen was stationed there. Therefore neither knowing who the other is, whilst at the same time both knowing who Amell/Surana is.

In Orzammar, working through the Bhelen/Harrowmont quests. The game doesn't do a great job explaining the policies of the two incumbents, but otherwise these quest lines are quite enjoyable. There's one conversation with a merchant and that's it, really. Also: Schmooples acquired!! Run has officially peaked. I actually headcannoned a whole scene where Theron panicked about being underground and the others had to help him stay settled, it was cute. Also like to think Morrigan cautioned Theron about Harrowmont's nobility, how it seems suspect, so he's at least willing to hear Bhelen out. He's probably going to wind up siding with Harrowmont anyway though, since Bhelen keeps irritating him.
Might leave when it's time to go into the Deep Roads since the grind sounds unappealing, although the Temple of Sacred Ashes is also a bit of a slog.

I thought there was quite a balanced amount of pro Bhelen and pro Harrowmont support and propaganda both via merchants, the town criers and various NPC's but my last two PT's a bit over a year ago were a bit rushed especially Orzammar.

The only one that very clearly talked about Bhelen's policies was the merchant. You can chat with that one noble about the state of Orzammar but he's actually more in favor of Harrowmont, despite wanting progressive policies, and switches over only if you show Harrowmont is double crossing him with Lady Dace. Other npcs will talk about the state of Orzammar but not necessarily which candidate they support and why.

In January i did my annual DAO playthrough (i`ve played my favorite warden, Liadan Cousland, a female human dual-weapon warrior romancing Alistair, which in hindsight was a good choice so i get to play all my canon characters before DAVs release ) and after the DAV`s trailers came out i`ve played DAII (again i`ve chose to play my canon character, Fainne Hawke, a female mage romancing Anders). And now i`ve been going throw DAI. I`ve created Sorcha Trevelyan, a human archer rogue (DAI is the game where i`m not so sure who`s my canon character is, not in terms of race or gender but in terms of class, i love playing mages but i also loved playing an archer in this game, so i ended up choosing a rogue archer just because i think it adds more variety). I`ve already played throw most of the Hinterlands, the dragon area it`s the only one i`m missing at the moment, recruited The Iron Bull, Sera and Vivienne, went to Redcliffe and made an alliance with the mages and closed the big rift. Haven was attacked by the Elder One and Solas guided the way to Skyhold. Today i`ve finished Storm Coast and the Fallow Mire. I`ve always finished this areas before Skyhold but i was curious to see if Dorian and Cole had any comments about this quests but only Dorian gave a remark about the Blades of Hessarian. I finished the day playing chess with Cullen and making both Cassandra and Varric happy.

Mostly been modding my Origins game the past few days
And then I decided I wanted to play my canon girls before Veilguard comes out, because I thought to myself "why torture myself with playing a character I know I'll have to struggle to finish because I don't like playing them?" (I love dwarves, I really do...I just don't really like playing them myself )
But then I was like...how do I make this more interesting? With hairstyles So without further ado... Here's my canon girly Minerva 'Mina' Amell, Arcane Warrior Battlemage... (I love my Tabris too, but Magi is my most played Origin)
I have a total of 9 hairstyles planned for her throughout her journey, she's currently on hairstyle 3 (the one above included) This is hairstyle 2, which she only has during Ostagar. I like the idea of her cutting off her hair after she leave the Circle, and the clothes are something I like to imagine Duncan gave her (because let's face it...Circle robes don't look all that comfortable to travel in...not to mention those flimsy shoes ) Hairstyle 3, which she has starting from Lothering (well technically after waking up at Flemeth's...we're never really told how much time has passed, and I like to imagine my Amell has rather quick growing hair ) until the events of Redcliffe.
For this playthrough I also made a few...NPC changes. Like, did you guys know that the unscrupulous merchant in Lothering (the one arguing with the Chantry priestess near the Chanter's board) has the word "dwarf" in his creature file name in the toolset? As do the two characters near him...so I changed them to dwarves Oh and I installed a mod the other day which adds some Awakening resources to the original campaign, as well as some ambiance NPC's One of them being a (non interactive) blacksmith in Lothering...so I thought, since the mod gave him a generic face...why not give him a face of a more...recognizable NPC? So I turned him into Harritt, he's not 100% accurate of course...but this is 10 years ago after all
And lastly...meet Noctua aka. Noct , Minerva's mabari ^^ (I got the idea for a black mabari after seeing this picture on Pinterest of a black Cane Corso) (I wanted to see if there are any animals in myth that are associated with Minerva/Athena...but all she has is an owl, which is just simply called Athene Noctua (however the word noct is associated with "night", so it's still somewhat appropriate for a black dog)
Also, I finally figured out how to use both Mabari madness and kaddis without it overriding the new fur colors I found out the mod mabari recolors has kaddis files that are transparent...as in, they don't affect the fur colors, but do still allow for the kaddis to show up. Naturally the first kaddis you get in-game has black stripes, so they don't show up on Noct...but I experimented with a few others and they do work Just a few examples ^^ I'm so happy, because now in the future I can give each of my Wardens a uniquely colored mabari with kaddis!

Darkspawn were spotted in the Storm Coast so i went there to take care of the problem. And keeping with the Darkpawn theme i decided to go to the Deep Roads and deal with the strange tremors that were destroying some lyrium mines from our dwarven allies.
This was the first time i did this dlc at level 13, i usually play it close to the end game or before Trespasser, but the enemies were at the same level of my characters the only exception being the Sha-Brytol that were level 16 when i was level 14/15. I always play on normal difficulty and had no problem with the combat except for the Titan but 99% of the time i have trouble with that fight so nothing new i guess. The only downside i found was that i couldn`t open the last two blockages for some areas for lack of power points which stopped me from completing the Chronicles of Forgotten Wars side quest and from getting a few more items but i`ll return at a later time. The advantage was that i ended up with a lot of gold . Starting the descent and exploring with new friends. Fighting the Darkspawn nest. Leaving the Deep Roads, the encounter with some strange dwarven fellows and their advanced weaponry and the lost of a friend. The Nug King. Inside the Titan and a friend`s farewell.

Yeah it's a cool DLC looking forward t oplayin gi tagain myself when I come bac kround to DA after m y ME run. I decided t opla yME given Veilguard's comba tlooks lik eit's going to be quite fas tpaced like ME's. Planning on doing a DLC o fm yown a bit later given I' mfocusing on sidequests today as I'm probably going to do the Bring Down the Sky quest

Today we crafted a ton of stuff and dragged some nobles over to see the templar about a possible alliance. It did not turn out well and I hope Orlais has enough nobles stacked in the marbled houses not to miss these ones who are certainly dead as doornails now. My inky has no idea what became of them and really she doesn't care. She does care very very much to get out of the green haze that she is stuck in but that is tomorrows problem.

Finished Crestwood except for the dragon as i usually only fight the dragons after the inquisitor learns how to do it from professor Frederic. This is one of my favorite areas and i love how the weather changes after we manage to take care of the rift in the middle of the lake. Reclaimed the Fort and drained the dam, fought the demons in the caves, closed the rift and the Mayor was sent to a Ferelden prison. Encountered some Red Templars in the area, hunted the Wyvern and met with Hawke and her warden friend Stroud. Went with Dorian to the meeting with his father were they kind of reconciled and convinced Iron Bull to choose the Chargers over the Qunari dreadnought. Next step was the Western Approach and the party is now learning how to hunt dragons. Also i gathered all the materials to became an Artificer.

Today I finally managed something that I've never been able to do in all the years I've been playing
Which is...avoiding Fort Drakon by killing Cauthrien at the Arl of Denerim estate!
Zevran managed to chop her head off...it was a pretty close call, but I managed to survive the encounter with my entire party alive
Fireball and Cone of Cold ftw! (and also Mana Clash and Mind Blast of course)

I always find that a bittersweet victory, I like Ser Cauthrien it's a real shame you can't convince her to stand down.
