I cannot ALT TAB in DA2, this has not been a problem for me before, is it as simple as unticking Windows Fullscreen in the settings? What did you do to your computer??? But yeah, might work if you are in windowed mode instead of fullscreen.

But yeah, might work if you are in windowed mode instead of fullscreen. The box was ticked for Windows Fullscreen, unticking it let me ALT TAB but looks stupid. I'll try some other stuff tomorrow. Nothing has changed with my PC that's what I don't understand!!!!!!

I tried to play DAO, after 10+ attempts where the game failed at launch went back to an older save losing almost an hour of gameplay. Got to Denerim for the first time did about 30 minutes of stuff and the game crashed again going in a door FFS. Game would not launch again so I am giving up, I had no problems playing two times in a row I think earlier this year but maybe late last year. Am downloading DA2, will see how that goes. Do you have a save before the crash? I ask because you could go in options for the game and lower the video settings. Reduce resolution, textures. Try that. I play the game at 1080p with graphics detail at medium, texture detail at low and anti-aliasing off. I have an amd 6700xt. With those settings and the number of mods I have, the game runs fine.

I think it is more likely MOD related, but I just cannot be bothered going through them all and figuring out which one it is but again having played it recently without any issues I am not sure which one it is. Thanks for the help though, I will keep that in mind as I will endeavour to do a whole trilogy run again before Veiguard.

So started a new PT of DA2, I think it is still my favourite DA game to play even if I favour the story and characters in DAO. I have already started down my usual DA2 path of Rogue (female) and whilst I have played all the other specialisations it is still my favourite. I have also as nearly always left Carver to rot in the Wilds with Wesley. Not sure what path I will send Bethany down yet and will probably romance Isabella (my usual) but will see as maybe Merrill will get a chance this time although I find her a bit more sisterly than romanceable female. April Hawke survived the Wilds with the help of a Witch of The Wilds with whom she has agreed to act as a Fed Ex worker and deliver an amulet to some Dalish Elves. April sided with Athenril and her thieves to serve out her 1 year of bonded work and met up with a loquacious and self assured Dwarf named Sandal oops meant Varric. April Hawke Thief and comedian. Swooping can be good A Dwarf not Worthy

Working through the Western Approach, one of my favorite areas. Closed some rifts, killed some wildlife and raiders and darkspawn, met Fredric the dragon expert, explored the Still Ruins and claimed Griffon Wing Keep. Hello Rylen. Met Hawke and Stroud at the outpost and learned what the Grey Wardens are doing and why, with the help of a smarmy villainous tool named Erimond. All areas cleared that can be until operations are completed.
Headed back to Skyhold for that and Solas' quest Measuring the Veil finally popped. Gave Vivienne her last book, and Iron Bull says the Qunari are ready to talk alliance. Well, we'll see about that. I'll probably do both of those before heading back to the desert since I plan on taking Bull to help with the Abyssal High Dragon hunt. He'll be needing a pick me up after his mission goes south. (No, I'm not sacrificing the Chargers).

Think I probably pretty much cleared out Crestwood, unless I missed a fade rift or something. A lot of grinding to be had in the area and a lot of it was spent grinding, wiping out patrols, and the wildlife. Had like two or three Drufallo which just crossed paths with us as I was fighting. Good for experience. Then onto this got through to the Wyvern cave which was a bit on the fun side, took awhile though. Right now seems the damage potential on my bow is lagging behind though it could have been the entire party that I was rocking as well. Gotta do a lot of stuff before I can get my main bow.
Which does bring me to the main event. Dragon hunting. Again took awhile but with Cassandra and Blackwall grinding out on the front lines I didn't really take a lot of trouble. Only like 2 or 3 regular health potions....as well a couple of regeneration potions. On this note to this playthrough I decided to save me some resources...I tried to anyways...by not equipping Antivan Fire potions initially but all that good will only brought me...pretty much nothing as I have only had like 21 of the things which is not even enough to get any of the Blood Lotus related upgrades. Still Kara defeated the Dragon and is now at level 14.
On another note had a bit of a surprise but got around to chatting with Cass and it triggered her loyalty mission, or the aquisition cutscene. Which is interesting because I haven't even gotten her 'hunt everything down' stuff. I thought that loyalty mission was tied to approval which is interesting because last playthrough had trouble getting it up...so its a bit of a pleasent surprise that I have been able to do so. Though its going to be awhile before I get to any of them and hope I can all make it work because don't really plan on doing any of them until after I get the Dragon Bow crafted...which means after Wicked Eyes Wicked Hearts.

Hawke cleaned up the remaining of her journal. In fact, I completed all of Act 1 quests except giving the money and map to Betrand.
Poor Ninette. Poor Keran. Poor Trask. Poor Saemus. Poor Ketojan. Not so poor Grace. And screw you Sister Petrice (I love to hate her fyi).
And lots of people were thankful for Hawke Lost&Found Services.
Soon the Deep Road. I'm going to bring baby Carver and Anders. I'm also trying to rivalmance Fenris...
By the way, I totally forgot how good the companion AI is in DA2. Varric actually tries to stay at range! All the time. DAI/DAO companion AI is so dumb in comparison.

Started off with Solas' quest, Measuring the Veil. Went back to a cave in the Hinterlands and a giant rift was there that hadn't been before. This quest always makes me wonder if Solas was actually testing if he could create rifts at will. But anyway, Tanith closed it. Afterwards decided to head back to Frosty's area to see if she had re-set, and she had, so of course had to finish the fight. Bull was excited but unfortunately I forgot to swap out my fire staff so the fight took longer than it should have.
Then it was off to meet the Qunari agent, who it turned out was someone Bull knew from Seheron. The details of the mission were sketchy, as were the promises of what the Inquisition might actually gain from the proposed arrangement, but still, taking out Venatori operations is never a bad goal. Of course the mission went sideways and Bull/Tanith were forced to decide whether to call for the Chargers to retreat, or have them hold their ground against overwhelming* Venatori forces that Gatt's scouts had somehow failed to notice. They chose the former. Screw the Qun and their shoddy intelligence work.
*I asterisk this because it's clear the Dreadnought could have fired on the mages on the coast. They just chose not to.
Then the group headed waaaay back west to hunt another dragon, and maybe help out Fredric with his research as well. Bull was definitely excited about this fight.
Pics of the fight, in honor of my old posting buddy SporkFu, who disappeared from old BSN not long before it shut down. Haven't heard from him since. We always joked about never getting a good shot during the dragon fights but rather always ending up with mostly pictures of dragon butt. I think I did pretty good this time. Recruited Fredric afterwards, then headed to the sulfur pits. Cleared out Coracavus and closed a darkspawn entry point. I find doing this hilarious since the darkspawn are known for digging through solid rock to get to an archdemon. A couple of boards aren't going to stop them. Then it was off to Echoback Fort to take one Crassius Servis into custody. He was the one in charge of the all the relic digging in the area. Found more Warden stuff for Blackwall and another target for Cassandra.
Next stop was the Forbidden Oasis. While this area is a maze, I was able to get everything done (except finding the miner a second time) in less than 2 hours. I had enough shards, including the ones in this area, to completely unlock both Ice and Spirit. I left 1 item in the final Ice area so the amulet of power will respawn next time I'm there.
Next up is Hissing Wastes, since I'm in the general vicinity. Will likely leave this dragon alone since she's just sleeping anyway. Once I'm done here I'll either do Adamant or, if Red Water is available, that and then Descent.

Tara Hawke started year 3. The Deep Roads ended up with backstabbing and it wasn't even Tara doing the backstabbing. Betrand ran off with an idol that even Anders called "the wrong kind of magic" (and now I wonder a few things about Solas). Still ended up richer, bought a mansion, got a servant. Even have a merchant and enchanter living inside the house.
Poor Carver joined the Grey Warden, finally got to write a letter to mother but she acts like he' dead. Yeah mom! Aveline is now Guard Captain. Good for her. I allowed her to borrow Meatshield to train her guards too. Otherwise small side jobs for a bunch of different people around town. Everyone knows Hawke now, Tara doesn't even have to seek jobs as much as before.
Relationship with Fenris is a shitshow (he's pretty hard to rival, not enough pro-mage stuff to take, I probably decided too late in act 1 to rival him duh).

April Hawke, visited Varric at The Hanged man and roamed Kirkwall picking up quests. Visited Anders in Lowtown and April said she'd help but has not yet. Visited The Black Emporium on the bigger monitor and with the resolution of 1440 you can see so much detail and some of that may be because of a MOD I use as well: www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/3981?tab=filesThen headed to Mount Sundermount and released Flemeth and that's where I had to stop due to RL intruding unfortunately. Pic's More April shots Andy pandy the mad bomber enters stage left Aaagh the friendly folk Merrill Flemeth - she's here then she's gone

Bit funny I have been meaning to comment on all the banter I have been getting the last few days and stuff, actually feeling a bit beneficial this playthrough as I have been moving on...but today I got absolutely bupkus in the Hinterlands. Which also is kind of sad cause I am pretty sure this is the first time I have taken Dorian and Iron Bull out at the same time. Which is the real reason I bring this up...because sometimes I do wonder off and on if Kara's flirting...well with both of them. Leads to the game making a flag which leads to neither of them getting romanced. Plus this then got me to wonder around if....well there is this trope in these types of RPGs and BioWare games in general that if you try and romance multiple people at once they can confront you about it...but this leads me to wonder if anyone will be able to write/ program the other way around? That you flirt with a character, maybe pursue a light romance, but don't advance it far enough so they start making googly eyes at one another and then your charaacter could be like...eh what gives? And then give their blessing or not. Kind of like Tali and Garrus really. Other note so far today continuing to work on the balancing issue here and the playtime. I have been wondering if I should continue on with my thing of levelling/ full inventory/ trial rewards and then going home...really haven't had the chance to do it yet because I have been so objective focussed so far. But I managed it tonight. Full inventory in this case. So yeah one of the reasons I want to do this to is to make sure I go back to Skyhold enough where I chat to my comapnions since I like doing that over a period of time and not just all at once. Usually taking it three at a time or in sections. But yeah tonight Kara and co cleared out the Mercenary Fortress part of the map of the Hinterlands. The added benefit of going by and doing it this way to is hopefully I will get better loot or mats or levels in order to get the dragon fighting done. And well with both the Exalted Plains and the Emerald Graves Dragons are quite far back in their little areas so quests to do on the way. Anyways after that got back to Skyhold and unlocked the march through Verchiel bit. Also investigated the Seekers. Gonna be a long time before I get to it. Course Sera's mission sometimes I do early because its not...that much.

Currently doing a re-rush through of my Warden's (Minerva Amell) playthrough. Aka. skipping through cutscenes and dialogues, and just focusing on completing quests and combat
So far I'm already done with her Origin story (Magi ftw!), Ostagar, Lothering, Shale's recruitment, Zevran's recruitment (courtesy of a mod), Broken Circle + the Fade, Return to Ostagar and killing Flemeth (Zevran got the finishing blow this time around).
Going on to Redcliffe next
Technically I could also skip combat...since I have a "kill switch" mod...but I kinda do want to focus on the combat, plus that mod only works in Origins and not beyond...

Traveling through the Hissing Wastes. Usually it takes forever and a day for the Chantry sister to appear enough times but this time she showed up at almost every camp/stop I made. Solas and Bull got most of the way through their mental chess match, then for some reason other banter took over and the end game is currently left hanging. Found 4 of 5 tombs and set up all the camps. Cleared the Oasis of wyverns and ruined the day of many a Red Templar.

I had 54/69 achievements on Xbox. The missing ones were all the 'Trials' difficulty achievements, a few odd ones and Nightmare difficulty.
So now's the time get them.
A nightmare playthrough has been fascinating so far (will reach Skyhold shortly all being well).

I had 54/69 achievements on Xbox. The missing ones were all the 'Trials' difficulty achievements, a few odd ones and Nightmare difficulty. So now's the time get them. A nightmare playthrough has been fascinating so far (will reach Skyhold shortly all being well). Yeah I'm stayin gawa yfrom the Veilguar dsection in an attemp tt oavoi dan yfurthe rspoilers so I'm focusin gon my DAI playthrough atm. As I'm effectivfely starting m ydar kperiod from now unti the games out So far toda ty'v emostl ybeen busy in the Hinterlands pickin gup shards, warden trinkets fo rBlackwall an ddoing Varric's Well Shit quest. As right now I'm concentrating on side and companion quests. Once I'v edone a coupl emore then I'l llikel yturn t oWicked Eyes Wicked Hearts.

What did Hawke do today? The same things she does every day! Kill bandits, spiders, dragons and demons of course. Kirkwall is such a safe place to live in. Somehow I'm ending up rivaling Merrill without even trying...and I'm playing pro-mage as much as I can (I mean some stuff is just plain stupid like making deals with demons). Poor Emeric and his Templar friend is an asshole for leaving his corpse in the alley like that. The Qunari are getting on my nerves, maybe one day I need to make a hardcore Hawkes that antagonize as much as possible instead of trying to placate them.

So Minerva saved Redcliffe (yay!) Also saved Connor...because that kid deserves to live damnit! (even though he's effing miserable when you re-meet him during Inquisition)
Did some side questing in Denerim (somehow my game crashes when I make saves in the Market district...but not if it's in other areas of Denerim, very odd...but we can deal with that xD) Oh and we also helped Alistair find his "sister"...she's a b*tch (thank the Maker she's not his actual sister ) And now we're looking for the ashes of a dead woman...because...magic, or something

Finished DAO today, woohoo! Been a few days since I posted last, so here's what I was up to: - Stopped the mad stuff on Soldier's Peak, finally a nice chest to store stuff - Completed some companion quests (Flemeth lives!) - Went to the Dalish and put an end to their situation with the werewolves. Zathrian sacrificed himself to lift the curse and the werewolves-turned-humans left the forest. Also did all the nice things for the Dalish. - Leliana sang - Completed the Landsmeet next. Anora rules, Alistair went to become a drunk, and Loghain was put on a redemption path by joining the Wardens. Nora could not bring herself to execute him in the end. Killing Howe didn't make her feel any better about what happened, and with Loghain, another daughter would lose her father and she didn't want that blood on her hands. Even if both would deserve it maybe. - Returned to Ostagar with Loghain and Wynne in the party. Some great dialogue there. - Met up at Redcliffe with everyone and convinced Loghain to do a shady ritual with Morrigan before heading out to Denerim. - Battled through darkspawn until reaching the top of Fort Drakon, beating the Archdemon with only a few casualties in the dwarfen army (I saved ALL armies for this fight and then I didn't even need them It was over so fast I was a bit stumped, haha). Celebrated with the companions, met brother dearest again and opted to go and travel with Leliana (and Zevran, since he wanted to stay with Nora ). Pic spam! Phew, that was A LOT OF NEW STUFF, things I never did before! Things I never thought I'd ever do one day! And a close call, as I almost couldn't get Loghain into my party as planned Before going to the alienage, I supported Anora as queen, but still told her Loghain has to pay for what he did (that was still Nora's mindset then). Didn't know that telling her the latter would cause her to betray me Luckily, with the right dialogue choices I could still have my duel with Loghain and then conscript him into the Wardens. But booooy was it hard to lose Alistair that way. The dialogues didn't fit my Warden 100%, but I could at least tell Alistair I thought he didn't want to be king when I opted to put Anora on the throne. She was a bitch, but she would still be a good ruler. Poor Alistair, and Nora took it hard. She loved him like a brother :/ Had to cheer herself up by gifting Leliana a nug. It was once again great to see the companions shaping Nora and becoming friends with some (Wynne was a great motherly figure to her). Suprisingly she also became friends with Zevran, it was quite sweet. One of the best dialogues was after Riordan spilled the beans about the ultimate sacrifice. Loghain and Nora had a neat chat about the cost of a life. Absolutely loved it! Spoilers ahead for those who never saw it so far Now contemplating whether I want to play any of the other DLCs or just Awakening, even though I'm itching to play DA2 (I hope I can finish everything by October 31st!)

Let's go get the dwarves. Hopefully fine some losers to kill. hahahahahaha Is this the king's wiper or messenger If your son isn't dead by now, I will make sure he's dead when/if I find him. heeheeheehee I met a dwarf asking about the circle. Forget it dwarf. I hate the circle. A dwarf wants to open a chantry? Get lost. Look lady, it's best you let the baby die. heehee Now this is a very helpful person. Take note Alistair Now I deal with a bunch lowlifes thinking they're tough. Some dwarf wants to join my crusade to kill everyone. I found the Anvil for you Branka. I just need to get rid of the oversized piece of metal standing in the way The king. The Oghren dwarf is such a whiner You have to leave dwarf. I don't want you around here anymore

So April left Sundermount and picked up a stray blood mage "Merrill". Visited her at her home and flirted so we will see where that goes but have taken her nowhere yet. Did everything possible in Kirkwall and ventured to the wounded coast with Avleine and foiled the ambush there then rescued Donnic so Aveline's now Guard Captain. Went to the Chantry with Anders and told him to kill Carl, then didn't flirt with him and he got angry, I hate that it's two love heart choices and one disagree. No middle ground. Recruited Fenris after killing a lot of guards, April didn't flirt with him but was almost tempted. Lots of running around picking up more quests to do or complete today. Pic's Merrill joins the gang Love at almost first sight Moody old Fenris also joins the gang Captain of The Guard
