Started roaming the Emerald Graves. Met Fairbanks, took out Sister Cousteau, closed a bunch of rifts, found the first set of shards and 2 of the 3 Samson notes. Set up the second camp. Next will be clearing Argon Lodge of another trouble-maker.

Did a few random quests for my teamates on the way to bigger and better things.

Namely in this run had a lot of fun with recruiting agents today. Went by Redfcliffe to hit up the one smuggler lady and Cassandra's response really brings a lot of chuckles to me especially given her usual morality and how...lawful good she usually is...I think. But its all 'you lied, you stole, you cheated, you dishonored Chantry robes...join us maybe?' Then ran by and finally turned in the quest to tell so and so that his lady love was dead with the cultist. Then he is all like 'I see just waiting for people is going to lead to suffering for the innocence...I will spread the Maker's word by the sword' Kara: 'uh...no! That is not what I meant! Maybe you can write reports or...bake a cake or something?' Yes I know the Inquisition is a military and quasi religious organization and Andrastianism is the only real game in town but both of us get super uncomfortable with 'spreading the maker's word' at sword point. Of course the fun part here is that I did bake it in as one of the big parts of her character almost from the beginning, that she intentionally goes and weds many different types of people to the Inquisition, very IDIC of her.

Big set piece today was to deal with the Ferelden Frostbacks...at least part 1. I did talk a lot about this last time but decided to bull rush through the 'kids' again because I remembered that she would go in and give them air support if you stopped to mess with them at least a little so yeah bull rushed and almost made it to before the companions started to fight the kids. Rule 1 of Dragon fighting...ignore the kids! Tougest Dragon of the set so far but I was able to still handle her. Had to absorb like 8 health pots but got through it in the end. And yes had to deal with the kids throughout...ignore the kids! Actually it was heartbreaking to on the 'death blow' for it. THink the game glitched for a minute, I couldn't attack her, no health bar, so it was like she was just still attacking us. But the result was she was just thrashing about for an extended period of time and just thrashing and dying. Ugh almost brought to tears even thinking about it again. What is it about these giant destructive flying lizards that just bring out the sympathy in people? Honest question.

Got back to Skyhold and got an update on the Morvan situation. The perfect encapsulation is that the Imperial Governor sent the Inquisition a note 'thanking' us for our help. lol. But in the exact way to let us know he knows we were BSing.

Off to the Western Approach on the run up to the next Dragon fight. Dealing with sweeping out the other Dragon related quests. Decided that I needed to go get Griffon Wing Keep because while its a preamble to HEre Lies the Abyss setpiece that does not mean I also have to get it right before. Also getting more FTM all the time and think I have some for Vivi and Dorian to have some more armor. But I forgot that even the light armor that does not look like its very clothy...still needs cloth...and I don't have a lot of cloth saved up right now. Ugh. Frustrating that is the reason keeping me from advancing with them. Thinking maybe a trip to the Black Emporium might be in order soon...and be soon maybe in a week where the problem could resolve itself anyways since this will require a huge time sink which I'm not sure I want to do...but there we are.

Never gonna forget with my Bro Inquisitor got to the one in the Emerald Graves started limping around in the middle of it and I just couldn't go through with it. But Kara is a bit of a Dragon Hunter and needs their bones for her bow. 

So. Who wants to die? Ah, I see we have a few volunteers. excellent. 

Let's go rescue the queen.  ***NOTE*** I did not look at the Chanters board or talk with any of the nobles in the tavern before rescuing the queen. If I had, I'm sure I could have killed a few characters that were in a cell


The fight with Ser Cauthrien was very hard. I died a number of times.  ***NOTE***When I died, Alistair and I ended up in a cell at Fort Drakkon. Because I didn't have enough companion's, no rescue was going to happen. I had to get out of the cell on my own.  I forgot how hard nightmare is during this fight and only having 2 companions made it that much harder. Rest well Ser Cauthrien. Know that your voice will play a major role in the future

I'm the only one alive.


When I chose facial features for my character, I chose the violent voice. My favorite line is when I have my character do something, she would say, Shall I get you a ladder so you can get off my back?

I learned a few new things in this playthrough I never encountered before. The dialogue was hilarious. Imagine if this game had interrupts? I could imagine the number of times Alistair might be punched.

I have two playthroughs planned. In a previous post I said friendlier. Meaning I won't kill everyone. What I want to do is a repeat of the playthrough marrying Alistair, but with Sten, Shale and Zavren on the roster. I'm curous if those three will show up in the wedding mod.

The second playthrough would be doing as much damage as possible while still being able to marry Alistair. I believe that should be fairly easy. What I'm looking for is how different the dialogue will be with Alistair when romancing him vs not romancing him.

Taking a break today because my shoulder hurts like hell and using a mouse is quite painful. Work was not at all fun.

Yesterday finished hunting down Freemen and got the quest to investigate Fairbanks' background. Found the rest of the shards, the astrarium cave, and even more rifts. Also, the bear collection.

Took a break for two days because I got obsessed watching music analysis and reaction videos and because I had a medical procedure today, not sure I can go back to DA2 think I have lost the momentum.

And you can, you get higher tier schematic of it at level 8 and 16 via the Special Shipments chest. The level 16 one (Superb Antaam-saar) is actually not that bad, lower total armor than other light armors, but it has the best critical chances of all light armors. Not sure if you can get the exact same color scheme thought.
