What did you do today in DA? [Spoilers]

Well, I am apparently not going to play JoH because I can't get there. Not via the WT or the map. The game goes to the loading screen and then freezes. Won't load the area. Any suggestions? I've tried with a squad and solo. I've tried from a different area on the map as well as from Skyhold and via the WT.

Inqy Zara continued to survey the Western Approach today. Also she got the "talk" from Leliana.

Anyway, back to the approach. The remaining Venatori got their ass kick. The Inquisition has a new fort, a draconologist on tab and a relic smuggler...

I actually wonder who is who, I think middle is Dumat, right is Razikale since there is a codex saying so elsewhere on the map, but the left one???

I was talking permenantly removing a mod breaks something and repair is needed to fix it.

It could also be some recent EA play snaffu. Didn't you have some issue with that or was that someone else?

So only got about 2/3rds of the way through Wicked Eyes so I guess I do not have too much to report in the end. I sometimes wonder if the automatic crit hits don't work...that they don't always fire like they still. Still glorious when they do fire.

Started off pretty good on the approval and the scandal. And then they didn't like me talking about how me and Florianne dancing was going to be a bit...odd. My next turn on the dance floor though had them eating out of my hand. Would think it would have been a really nice gameplay mechanic if you hit 100 Court approval that it would no longer go down. Afterall in these types of political situations people often overlook the excesses of their favored politicians when they are in the 'in' crowd. Would have been a nice reflection of that. Or built up a buffer by allowing you to go over 100 approval so you aren't wasiting all your extra points.

The wife was having a ball making fun of it though and we had a good laugh about things that were happening. First in Morrigan coming down the stairs with that really awkward walk and then...the dancing and pantomiming it. Cracked the joke that Morrigan's worse enemies, her mother and stairs.

You mentioned you stopped playing DAO because of crashes in the Denerim area. In my current playthrough, I've had crashes, but at different times in the game in different locations. What I've done is make a save before a cutscene take's place and after playing for a bit of time. It has made it easier since it only take's a minute for me to restart and I don't have to play through the same stuff I did a minute ago. It's odd that when going through the spot where the game crashed, there's no issues.  It is annoying, but making saves has minimized the annoyance.

A full roster

Since I clread out the Western Approach (without the main quest), I had to find a new zone for Inqy Zara to adventure in.

Somehow, I got the operation to clear the stuff for the Red Templar on the Storm Coast without even setting foot there.
But I decided to go to Crestwood, so I can finished the Western Approach stuff. Actually, I just want the scatfolds gone in Skyhold and I'm not feeling WEWH. 

So rain and zombies for the night. I made it to the village (I'm actually tired and spent some times checking Veilguard previews so...).

I also locked my romance with Josephine. She's adorable. 

The latest update to the PS5 was interesting. Completley changed the UI, added like a main hub for it...and the ability to add custom wall paper that you want. So the wife while I was loading into the game was able to take a picture of Inquisition's splash screen and that is now my wallpaper. But I really think that Veilguard with its photo mode will be able to really find some good imagery to use for later on.

Finished up Wicked Eyes.

Boss fight was fun. Given how far along I am on my little builds for this particular playthrough so first time I had the chance to really tie things together and it took awhile to get going. Florianne kept dissapearing on me. Got one Fade Rift off though and then almost instantly the bar filled up again so I put up Thousand Cuts...Fade Rift...and Haste. And well she got sucked in before I think the Haste even fired off so it wasn't needed. Also fun to think about with the whole box thing. like no body is actually in there.

And well think its obvious but Celene is now dead. Kara stood by and watched it happen. Always a fun little role play twist and as I mentioned one that does not sit well with me. But as they have mentioned the theme for Veilguard will be guilt/ regret. And well Kara has a lot that she regrets going into it, lot of cold blooded stuff she did, lot of death on her consience. Mainly her own soldiers and again pretty cold blooded to stand by and watch an assassination when you could stop it. I think I played her a little bit rough towards Briala telling her to earn the promise and Cullen that it had been a long Night. Though she did welcome Morrigan into the Inquisition with open arms.

Back home the next sense of completion has come in, crafted the Superb Dragon Bow...Dawnbringer. The golden hued bow with the dragon wings. Had some debates on stuff going into things but stuck with the established order. Made all of its main stuff crafted out of Dragon stuff, turns out I didnt have enough leather so went off to the Black Emporium. The grip of the thing was actually REALLY tempted to do something else to, the Dragon Cloth gives you crit damage and there is a grip that is nothing but offensive cloth (which is amusing to type) so, still kind of tempted to see the comparisons in the various stats...like REALLY tempted honestly because think all that Dragon cloth could...lead to a lot of crit damage. Final bit of the thing was the Fire rune...don't have enough to get the most high tier but with the mid tier one until I get the superb rune I think. 173 damage, 184 % crit damage, 26% crit chance. Again really tempted to go and try and get more cloth to see how that works.

RP front and character front back at Skyhold unlocked Varrics quest, Vivi's quest, and I see the exclamation poitn for Bull's. Caught Solas being a dirty liar. Then had the 'talk' with Cassandra where I told her she'd be awesome for Divine and would throw my weight around to see it. Not sure Kara would commit that quickly but then the game does not give you that many options and I refuse to have a world state with hardened Divine Murder Nun.

Been a few days, progressed some!

- Recruited all companions except Sebastian and did some of their quests
- Made Fenris laugh by telling him he could have at least given Lainey a glass of wine before smashing the bottle
- Decided on a whim to let my character be a bit more naughty and frivolous for once so she enjoys Blooming Rose visits (went to have some fun with Osric)
- Met Drunk Alistair in the Hanged Man
- Completed lots of sidequests and finished Blackpowder Promise today



I'm having lots of fun with the Archer. Built her so I can get more Crit Chance for stunned targets, it's quite cool!

Inqy Zara adventure in the way-too-wet-Ferelden continues.

She found Hawke and his "friend". Learned the Wardens were probably going to do something stoopid soon.
She did a few quests for a few people. Nothing major.
And she claimed a fort so she could use a dam to visit a flooded village. It was occupied by bandits lead by a huge red skinned Qunari (you can barely see him while fighting and he dies so far, but it clearly was a red skinned horned dude).

Also, there was a dragon sleeping where water went, she didn't look to happe after.

I'm tired so calling it a night. Tomorrow I might deal with the dragons before exploring the ex-flooded village.

Also, Cole/Blackwall banter can be creepy.
