Hiya fellas. Today after 2 years of thinking, I finally created a warden that I sort of like. I tried to make him look like the actual father of Kieran so my character won't need any paternity test later. The problem is the personality, I wanted him to be sort of evil, since my Hawke is neutral and my Inquisitor good, but is hard, the most evil thing he has done is smoking elfroot and having fun with Lyrium dust in the Circle. I want him to be buddy buddy with Alistair but also I want him a blood mage, life is hard.

From the Diary of Kara Trevelyan: So I met an ancient God. Maybe two of them....or none of them? Its quite confusing whether or not these beings were actually in control of the beings I met or if they were simply harboring them. Either way the universe got a lot more complicated then I thought.
And apparently I am now a 'servant' of the goddess Mythal. Not something I anticipated when I drank from the well. But, at the end of the day, she ma not use her powers? Something else I am really confused about. Either way...we have what we need, I just need a target. I don't know what it is about this particular playthrough but a lot of different things are falling into place for me. Now the line 'the heavens will shake with a reckoning! I will have my vengeance!' really stuck with me. Now 'the heavens' seems to be a reference to the Fade. So, she seems to want to open the Fade... just like Solas. But her motivation is one of vengeance whereas his is one of reconciliation. But, that would be clear enough reason for the two of them to join forces. Now she also did make reference to 'alas as long as the music plays, we dance' which suggests that even this want is not entirely within their control. Heck if some of the theories on the Blight are concerned it might be the best way for the Blight to unite with itself.

While Zevia Cadash was freeing kidnapped Orlesians in Emprise the other day, I got a banter where Bull asked Cassandra if "boss" could borrow her armor for...personal reasons. He promised he would clean it, but she still said no. I like to imagine that upon return to Skyhold, Zevia sneaks into Cassandra's quarters after she'd gone to sleep to take her breastplate and helmet. After Zevia and Bull's activities, they wipe off the armor and Zevia sneaks it back into Cassandra's quarters, placing it exactly where Cassandra had left it...or as close as she could get. For good measure, Zevia scatters a few feathers from Cullen's ridiculous whatever-that-thing-is around the armor stand and goes back to sleep in Bull's bed with her knives close by. She needn't have worried. Early the next morning, Cassandra's enraged pounding on Cullen's door awoke half of Skyhold. I went to clear the northern ramparts in the Exalted Plains yesterday and I really don't remember them being this difficult, yet Cassandra and Bull were both knocked out, leaving Dorian and my little assassin to deal with the rest of the horde (although they did manage to, with no health potions left to spare at the end). I think it's time for new armor

I dinked around and ended up rolling an elven mage. Told ya'll that I get addicted to making new characters.
World State changes: Leliana is now romanced by a female elven Warden. Anders is alive. Rogue Hawke romanced Isabela. Hawke kissed Talis.
Name: Arianna Age: 34 Hair: Sandy Brown, longest style for now. Eyes: Aqua Blue Tattoo: Hazel colored branches under the eyes. It's quite visible. Makeup: Medium. She isn't very made up but wears more than my archer or my warrior did.
Religion: Very Dalish right now. Unlike my archer, she's a believer. Specialization: Ice/Rift Mage at Skyhold. Relationship with her clan: Excellent. She's very trusted and beloved. Likes: Lilies, studying Dalish lore, learning about the spirits and taking care of the clan's little ones. Dislikes: The Qun, the color orange, swamps, flighty people and especially Templars.
Romance: Oh, who do you think? Main Rogue: Sera until Skyhold, then Cole. Time to change things up. Main Tank: Blackwall since I've barely used him at all. Main Mage: Solas, duh.
I hit the Golden Nug at Haven, but I didn't immediately make the best of the best. I made some nice stuff that I thought suited her without breaking the bank. Tip: Nugskin gives you crit for weapon crafting. It's easy to farm them as soon as you get there. I usually do a giant loop around Haven for gathering and to kill some rams and nugs in the area. I tend to do this before I go to unlock the BE and the Hinterlands. I went for style over the best armor rating. Anything tier 2 or higher is more than sufficient.
So far I've only got some crafting done and hit the BE to tweak skin tone. Oh and I've got two different guides to make sure I don't kill off my character's clan yet again.

--I've got a backstory for Arianna taking shape in my mind. And oh my goodness. I've played Templar-hating characters before, but this one takes the cake. There is a good reason that I'm putting together for this. Any sight of the Templar emblem damn near sends her into a rage. It goes far beyond being a mage. She accepts Cullen only because he left the Order. If he had stayed, Ari wouldn't have gone within three leagues of the man. Unlike Rowan, she's killed plenty of Templars in the Free Marches.
--I made a few further tweaks to my character's look. I wanted her to look a little more mature and an easy way to do that is through makeup and hair. I put her hair into a bun and very carefully turned up her eye makeup. It's pale grey on top with a darker grey on the eyelids. I was cautious about not making her look like a racoon. I turned both up to almost max and it looks good. It gives a little more depth and shading to her face without looking overdone. I also did some dark red lipstick and turned that up to max. She looks like a pretty 30-mumble year old now.
--I changed the vallesin to the full Mythal tree. She's an extremely proud and very maternal Dalish. I also had to change the color of the vallesin. The hazel color blended in too much with her hair color. It had the side effect of making her eyebrows almost disappear. I changed it to a very dark green.
--The armor looks good. It's a battlecoat with ram leather and cotton. The rich brown color goes well with the simple offwhite of the cotton. Looks are almost as important as function for me with this character for most of the game. I would have gone with a keeper robe, but ram leather looks almost blue when used as a trim. It clashed badly with the default green leather look so I scrapped it. She is going to wear that once I get the mats though and pass this onto Solas.
--I don't know how well she's going to get along with Sera. My archer did, but that was because Rowan was as agnostic as the game would let me RP it. Arianna here probably won't handle Sera as well. However, I'm still going to drag her around. The Red Jenny packages, WT stuff and general questing will make sure that my mage is going to befriend Sera. Still, it'll be interesting to see my Dalish stand up to her this time.
--I haven't left Haven yet aside from going to the BE. I'm doing everyone's dialogue tree first and I've only got Josephine's left to go. However, the hubby is home sick and wants to watch Vikings. So the Hinterlands will wait until later.

Finished both Crestwood and the Western Approach following the sequence recommended by nightscrawl and using the Even Ground, Take it slow, and the Walk Softly trials. So far, that has prevented the over-leveling problem and the game remains challenging. On previous PTs, these areas were way too easy by the time my PC arrived. I began using Cole more frequently in these areas. No particularly clever dialog yet. We killed the Crestwood dragon to finish off the area. Cole's witty remark: "He wanted to eat us but now he can't." Duh! Here, Katriel meets Segrit for the first time in Skyhold... I took Solas, Blackwall, and Cole with me to Adamant. I've long known that Solas has it in for the Wardens but was surprised that Cole also hates the Wardens. I left Stroud in the Fade but still recruited the Wardens into the Inquisition.

The whirlwind did it again. How did I get it down? I didn't. I took control of Cole and just shoot it dead. P.S. Cory is dead. As I suspected, Blackwall never spoke of his future with the wardens. He only said he's available if he's needed. So, for once, this is a new development for me. Cass is Divine as I wanted. I don't understand why there's even a war table mission to get favor for Viviene when I specifically chose to tell her Cass is the best choice. I've JoH and Trespasser left.

The journey of Warden Commander Drako Amell, The Hero of Ferelden: (DA:O, DA:A, and Witch hunt) The Chronicles of Tyros Hawke, Champion of Kirkwall: The Path of Inquisitor Mason Trevelyan, Herald of Andraste: The Journey continues, (This one is a bit long)A scout from a mercenary band, The Chargers, arrived this morning. I only noticed him (I think Krem is the first "trans-character" I've ever seen in a video game) because he was trying desperately to get someone's attention. Since we don't exactly have a "leader", his search was pointless. I stopped him to see what the fuss was about and he claimed to be looking to open a contract with the Inquisition. We already have soldiers and scouts, and Haven is filling up. Though a specialist unit could be invaluable. I was told that the Chargers were finishing up their last mission out on the Stormy Coast and that if we wanted to see how they operate, then we should go and watch them in action. And watch them I did. Took Sera and Varric with me. I only told Josephine where I was going. The others were too consumed arguing over what we CAN'T do to even notice me. The Chargers are a tough bunch. Ruthless and clean. Not just a band of sell swords or cut throats. Their leader being the biggest surprise. A Qunari. Big one too. I've never met a Qunari before. He was not what I was expecting. The Chantry makes them out to be evil cruel giants. The Iron Bull seemed so... normal. Huge, horned, and running on a combat blood rush, but otherwise normal. After a short conversation with Iron Bull, we come to an understanding about how he and the Chargers would function within the Inquisition. He has Krem, his second in command, lead the rest of the Chargers to Haven while he joined us to address a militia group out here on the Coast. Some of the Inquisitions scouts went to meet with them and haven't returned. The Mark on my hand is throbbing. Means a Rift is near by. More than one I am guessing. As we proceed down the coast line, we begin to feel the earth itself tremble beneath us. I hear a familiar roar in the distance. We round a bend and lay eyes on the source. A High Dragon, bigger than the one in the Hinterlands, fighting with a Giant. Sera grabs Bull by his horns and climbs up on his shoulders, "Let me see, let me see! We can stay and watch right? Tell me we're going to stay and watch." No way I was going to miss this fight. We find a good vantage point and take a seat to watch the throw down of the titans. Was a good fight too. The Giant was on the ropes for a while, but got a few good hits that scared off the Dragon. Getting hit in the face with a ship sized boulder will do that. Things were fine until the Giant noticed us. Wounded as he was, he still came at us. After we finished him off, Bull wanted to race after the Dragon, but it flew out to sea. No way for us to tack it down at the moment, and I didn't really want to. Other things to do today... ...We eventually find the missing scouts. They were killed by the militia they were sent to meet with. From scattered notes and missives we learn more about these people. Their fanatics of some kind. With a special crest we would be able to challenge their leadership. So we set out to gather materials and craft this trinket. In the Chantry, whoever has the highest hat is in charge. In this militia it depends on who has the shiniest necklace. Insanity atop insanity. After we have the amulet and face the leader of these "Blades", the rank and file agree to serve as a patrol force for the Inquisition... or rather me specifically. With that madness over, we set out to find and seal the Rifts in the area. We also found several resources the Quarter Master in Haven could make use of... ...When we get back to Haven, Cassandra, Cullen, and Leliana are still debating about who we should side with in the Mage/Templar war to get aid in closing the Breach. The Grand Enchanter invited us to Redcliff. The least we can do is hear her out. The Lord Seeker is punching Revered Mothers, I have no doubt that he would gladly put a sword of Mercy through my heart if I went to him right now. So I talk to Cassandra and she agrees to come with me to Redcliff to hear what the Mages have to say. Leliana informs me of a Grey Warden being spotted in the Hinterlands and wanted me to talk to him about the rest of the Order going "missing". I confess, their sudden disappearance has me questioning if they knew about or had anything to do with what happened at the Temple. The Wardens have a sketchy history with their "do whatever it takes" motto. I can't believe they would murder the Divine, but I can't ignore the possibility either... ...Warden Blackwall didn't have any information on the missing Wardens to offer, but did offer himself to the Inquisition. Not sure what he can do for us, but another strong sword arm between us and the Demons is always welcome. He heads for Haven while Cassandra, Sera, Solas, and I make our way to Redcliff. When we get there, a new Rift has opened up outside the Gates. This one was... different. It seem to alter the flow of time around it some how. There's another one somewhere close by, but no sign of it or any Demons. Something is very wrong here. Matters were not made better when we learned of the presence of a Magister and that the Grand Enchanter acted as if she had never contact me in Val Royeaux. After speaking with the Towns people, we track Fiona to the local Tavern where she explains that she and the rest of the Mages were now "indentured servants" of the Imperium. Sounds better than saying "I sold my people into slavery." Go through this logic with me. She dissolves the Circles for "freedom for the Mages" and then "sells" those Mages into slavery... She swapped out the Templars for the Magisters and removed what few rights Mages have. I wanted to strangle her. Had the Magister himself not made an appearance, I might have done just that... ...After a few coded phrases, it's clear that the Tevinters are not interested in sealing the Breach. They knew something about it they were not going to share. A note was passed to me to meet with someone in the Redcliff Chantry. When we get there, we find another Tevinter mage fighting off Demons pouring out of a rift. No telling how long he's been fighting them off. He's probably the only reason this town wasn't already burning. After a brief battle and introductions, Dorian revealed himself to be the Magisters former assistant. That Magister Alexius had developed a method of manipulating the rifts to alter time. It is incredibly unstable magic. Even for a Magister, this is stupid. We are informed by in a spy of sorts that the Magister is planning to capture me in some fashion. I seem to be a threat to whatever that moron is planning. So we fall back to haven. Leliana has sent scouts to keep an eye on Redcliff. I told them everything I had learned. What we will do next is, again, a debate. I can't let that Magister take those Mages. I don't know what's going on with the Templars nor what Alexius is plotting, but the Redcliff situation must be resolved. If the Lord Seeker gets wind of this, I have no doubt he and the Templars loyal to him will kill everyone in that town, mage or not, when word of a Magister's involvement begins to spread. That will be all the excuse they need to paint everyone there as blood mages and abominations. Most of them are just scared. All but a handful would gladly go back to their Circles if they could. Instead their options are death or slavery.

fylimar I am not inclined to trust Mihris at all. She makes Solas look as open and honest as Merrill. Spoilers for The Masked Empire: If you remember Imshael, Mirhris is the reason why he was summoned. She was after power and intentionally summoned him. She agreed to his price, which was the wholesale slaughter of her entire clan. She's very power hungry and an awful person. I kept hoping she would die in the book, but that didn't happen. She's by far one of the more scummy people in the series. So I'm not going to take her at complete face value. I do think that the artifacts are strengthening the Veil temporarily. But I stand by my theory that the artifacts are still a part of Solas' long term plans in destroying the Veil. We'll see. Ok, I didn't know that about her. Then she really is a hyppocrate

But he is a very unhelpful demon of choice, so unless there is an offering, he won't tell anything. So, every few days the Keeper goes and bothers him and tries to trick info out of him, but Imshael is Imshael. Who knows how long this goes on, with Imshael becoming more filled with rage the longer he's trapped in a tiny circle of magical stones. Michel De Chevin, through a series of events, makes a deal with Imsahel, gets the key to the Eluvians, then tries to back out on the deal by destroying the Circle of stones. But Imshael tricked him- destroying the stones frees him, and does not destroy him. At that point, Imshael is like, whatever folks, I'm going to go torture and slaughter that clan over there that's been torturing me with imprisonment for the last couple of months. Ta ta. And he does so, very much so, to his own delight. But then he didn't QUITE kill Mihris, and she thought the whole thing was Celene/Gaspard/Briala/Michel's fault, so in EXCHANGE for a ride in her body, she GETS the power to seek her vengeance on them. Because Imshael was intrigued by her vengeance schtick. But then stuff happens and she CHOOSES to abide by a Survival Truce. And Then Imshael has to abide by it by association. Which is why, when you meet Mihris as a Dalish elf yourself in DAI, she says, "I'm looking for a clan that DOESN'T deal with demons." Which can be, still, hypocritical, but I think she's indirectly admitting that demons are a bad thing to her now that's she directly dealt with one and lost and entire family to one.

What she did, letting that demon posessing her for revenge, wasn't exactly nice either, but I guess, I'll go back to my first statement, that she probably really wanted to fix the Veil with the artifacts.

Played a bit more when I woke up. I'm starting to get further into my character's head. --She holds the Chantry in very high contempt. While she knows that there are good people that worship Andraste, she's seen the negative effects more often than not. She likes Cass well enough, but they aren't going to be very close. In my mind, Ari sneered slightly at Cassandra's comment about the Maker and the Dalish gods. "Is that not room for one more?" Ari knew in her heart that Cass would be against the idea of any other god. --I ran into an interesting but minor bug. I finally left Haven and got into the Hinterlands. I've gotten into the habit of knocking out the Crossroads right away. As the segment finished and the cutscene kicked in, Barrier was about to wear off on Cass. After the cutscene, the effect lingered. It created a flashing blue glow around her as well as a hum. I tried going back to Haven. The effected showed on her inventory screen. I saved and reloaded. Still there. I'm thinking, "Okay, Plan B." I went back to the Hinterlands and tried to kill her with falling damage. I took off her gear and went for it. I wish you guys could have seen me jumping off of high areas. Nope, the fall damage wasn't enough to kill her. I went, "Alright, Plan C." I ran down to the level 12 rift by the farm. I was at level 4. I had Cass taunt a Despair Demon. I knew it wouldn't take long for her to die. Then I took control of Varric and ran like hell. When Cass was alive again, the effect was gone. phorayI could have sworn differently, but I guess I was wrong. My apologizes. I need to reread the book.

From the Diary of Kara Trevelyan: So...its over...after three years, almost to the day I got the Mark, Corypheus has been defeated. For all of his bluster of being a God he kind of went out like a chump. It still feels...good.
Afterwards we had the obligatory final party. I do not know how Josephine managed to set everything up so quickly, she truly is a credit to the Inquisition. But even in the midst of all the partying and joy the Inquisition is now free. And I can't help but wonder what is next. It was in the back of my mind. Even after everything we have been through, after wanting to focus on the party. It was there. The Inquisition still has so much more to do. That much is clear. And walking the tightrope between enlightened reform and becoming the next Corypheus will be a difficult task. Maybe more so then defeating the monster. I am confident...no I hope that I am up to the task.
News has also reached Skyhold that Cassandra has been elected Divine Victoria. I know how much she is going to hate it. But I am happy for her, and even more so over joyed for the people of Southern Thedas. If she is as good at her job because she hates religious formality as I was as Inquisitor because I hate politics, she will do just fine. Either way she does have good ideas, and hopefully good advisors working for her.
I do wonder how much time I will be able to take off.
***
So its not even been two months and already the Dwarves are in trouble and requesting our aid. Earthquakes have been ravaging the Storm Coast and we are off to solve it. This likely means Darkspawn... still its an excuse to get out of the house, and back to our job.
Meanwhile while me and the Inner Circle set off for the Stormcoast Leiliana is moving off to Val Royeux as the Left Hand for Divine Victoria, to make final preparations for her coronoation. This means the position of Spymaster is now open. Josephine, Cullen, and Leiliana will be coming up with new candidates but I am thinking Briala might work. Boy did Corypheus go down like a chump. I mean It just seemed weird that it seemed he had a full half of his health bar left, and then...the end cut scene triggered. Which is shrug worthy but the last quest really glitched out. But it kind of works for the head canon of it all considering I consider Cory more of a genius tactician then a phsysical threat anyways so it makes sense that he kind of went down easily.

--Grabbed Bull, Sera and Blackwall. I'm now dragging around Cass/Sera/Solas for now. Since I'm siding with the mages, I want to get Cass and Sera's affection up now. It'll be easier to do it early on. --I like Sera's banter a lot more than her conversations in Haven/Skyhold for the most part. Once I get to Skyhold, Cass is out and Blackwall is in. I'm not too worried about Varric's affection. His is pretty easy to level up. Just do his WT missions and bring him along to bust red lyrium nodes. He'll be a happy camper. --I've also been killing rams as I've been exploring. I don't want to run into another early-game leather shortage. I'm also trying to save my cash for some more cloth once I'm done with IWH. Solas needs some new duds desperately. --I haven't recruited Vivienne yet. I'll get to it before Skyhold. --I figured out the source of the bug. It happened again, only this time I didn't have to kill poor Cass. There is a late-game shield schematic called, "The Best Defense." That's what I had made for Cass. On a hunch, I decided to make her a different shield, equipped it and headed out. That fixed it thankfully. --I'm doing my usual thing of knocking out the majority of the zone before doing IHW. I'm also <sigh> collecting shards. Might as well this time. It'll be good for triggering banter since I'll be running around more this time.

So back in Thedas after the holidays =) And once more unto the breach with Sienna Cadash! While going through the screencaps I noticed a tiny detail that was new to me! All in the spoiler! ;-) 3. The Dasher got the message. I guess there’s no turning back now. There may be a way to do business in the future but for now I’ve made it clear that I’m my own master and I pull the strings. Gallivanting about the Ferelden countryside we found odd glowing skulls propped up on sticks. When you look through the skulls bizarre shards get illuminated. Shards that you will not see nor feel for that matter, even if standing upon them before locating them through the skulls. Why skulls? What is it all about. Josephine managed to dig up some clues pointing us out into the western approach. So, we went there. To an oasis where some Orlesian’s had set up a mining business. The mine was shut down however. In the middle of the oasis we found the doors to an old temple or maybe tomb. We cleared out the oasis from rifts and demons before we investigated the temple closer. There was a strong feeling of unease, even dread emanating from the temple doors. The shards were made to fit perfectly into some hollowed carvings in the door. I shuddered inside as I inserted the shards into the door. The felling of unease dissipated as we stepped inside. A ward of some sorts? Inside there were more magical doors. We would have to came back at a later date. As we came back to Haven our esteemed leadership had not yet managed to decide overall templar/mage conundrum so I set out for Redcliffe to see what could be gained from Fiona. As we neared the town gates we came upon a weird kind of rift. Viv suggested that it distorted time around it. In Redcliffe we soon understood that no one was actually expecting us and to make things even more muddied a Tevinter magister was now in charge. We met Fiona in the tavern. Viv was absolutely dripping of sarcasm. Hahaha. Yeah, you go get them gurrrl. We soon got to meet the Tevinter sleaze in person. So, the mages had indentured themselves to a Tevinter magister. This had happened after we met Fiona in Val Royeaux but she had no recollection of us meeting. Magister Alexius’s son turned acutely ill and fell in my lap. Poor little boy. He was kind of cute, I guess. Only it was a ruse to give me a note without the magister noticing. Apparently, I was in danger (!) and he wanted to have a clandestine meeting in the chantry. Probably not that kind though. We went to the chantry fully expecting a trap and had to help this dashing young man battle demons and sealing another time distorting rift. The man was a Tevinter mage and went by the name of Dorian. Formerly apprenticed to Magister Alexius. He had been working on time controlling magic with the magister. Until Alexius had gotten involved in some Tevinter supremacist cult. Felix joined us and informed us that coming here, snaring the mages etc. was all done by these “Venatori” in order to get to me. Not the Inquisition, but specifically me, “the one who survived” as Alexius phrased it. If/when we would go to Redcliffe castle to put an end to all this Dorian wanted to come with us. I said I’ll think about it. We spent some time in Redcliffe, talked to a lot of people and enlisted some. Eventually we found a locked shed in the harbour and inside we found the hideous truth about the “skulls-on-sticks”. The Venatori had used the skulls from numerous tranquil. Tranquil with no means to defend themselves, with no drive to defend or even flee. May the Venatori be turned to dust. My own inclination for negotiating “help” from Magister Alexius went from low to negative. Next, we turned to mystery of the disappeared wardens. We would have to go to the Storm coast. We had gotten an invitation to meet up with as mercenary band on the Storm coast. The Bulls Chargers they called themselves. Led by a Qunari by the name of The Iron Bull. On the coast our scouts had run into trouble with a group of bandits that called themselves the Blades of Hessarian. We looked for the Chargers first and helped them defeat a group Venatori zealots. It turned out that The Iron bull had been sent by the Qun to gain information on the Inquisition and the Breach. Apparently, they were concerned and seriously considering an invasion of southern Thedas. Sod them, as if we weren’t having enough of problems. Well, long story short. Bull was hired. The chargers hired. The Blades of Hessarian were enlisted with minimal bloodshed after I defeated their leader. There had been a group of Grey wardens on the coast. They had been looking for someone specific. Possibly a rogue warden? Their quarry had given them the slip and none of the were left. Back in Haven our four leaders were still in deadlock. So, I decided to take charge. We learned that the Templars had all retreated to an old abandoned fort called Therinfal Redoubt. I would go there but not alone. Josephine had a group of no less than ten noble houses that would send their own envoys to accompany me and the team, thus putting a whole lot of political pressure behind us in the negotiations. (I have never berfore noticed that Cole is mingling with noble entourage! Cool Cole!) When we got to Therinfal Redoubt it soon became clear that all the Lord seeker cared about was me. Once again me and only me! It must all be interconnected in some way. The divine’s murderer, my interruption of the ritual, my survival, the Tevinter Venatori and the Lord seekers odd behavior. The situation was dire, dire indeed and way worse than we expected. We were greeted by a young templar asked me to perform a short ritual before seeing the lord seeker. They wanted me to raise three flags in order: I chose the people, Andraste and the templars. I kept my motives to myself. After the test, we were ushered in to see the Lord seeker but was greeted by the knight-captain instead. He was raving about the situation and about how all templars had to be changed. The templars which accompanied him had a strange almost mutated look upon them and at a given signal they cut down their brethren and attacked us. There were attacks on the younger templars by these “changed” templars all over the fort. We fought our way inwards upwards until we found the Lord seeker outside the big hall. Before I could challenge him, he grabbed me by the neck and pulled me… somewhere else. Well shit, the Lord Seeker was the Lord Seeker no more. An envy demon had taken on his outer shape and usurped the templars. It was now after me. In the service of some “Elder one” it would use the Inquisition to spread even more chaos and destruction. I would have none of that! Trapped inside my own mind the demon was playing mind games on me and trying to pry all my internal secrets from me. It may well have succeeded if not for me being possessed by another more benevolent spirit – Cole. Together we beat the demon on its own game. Back in the real world we learned that the demon and the ranking officers had been giving red lyrium to a select group of templars who would be changed. When we arrived, they had begun to force it unto lesser willing templars. It would be a fierce fight but we did not back down. The demon hid behind a powerful magical barrier. We also found evidence for a templar lead plot to assassinate the Empress of Orlais. We needed as many senior templars as possible and ordinary lyrium to break it. Eventually we defeated the last of the “red templars” broke the barrier and went further in to have the final showdown with the demon. I proved a formidable opponent but we were victorious! Cole proved his worth in the fight! In the aftermath, the templars were unsure of what to do. There wasn’t much left of their order. A demon had tricked them, they were naturally very uneasy about the whole prospect. I offered them a position within the Inquisition if they would disband. They all agreed and were all conscripted and they all swore fealty to the Inquisition. Back in Haven they were a bit tense. Cullen felt it wasn’t my decision to make. Well I’m sorry. A decision had to be made. The situation became even more tense as Cole materialized on the war table! Cassandra and Cullen wanted to kill him on the spot. I stayed their hands. I had to do some sweet-talking. Cassandra apologized for being harsh and was actually glad not having to be the one deciding on the fate of the templars. In a way, it seemed they all were rather relieved not having to the one to make that decision. Now all we needed was enough lyrium make an attempt to seal the breach for good…

Ah, thanks. I should have guessed it would be that one, given the rather obvious name. What's funny is that there is no class restrictions on the armor. You could put the heavy SotQ armor on Solas if you wanted to. The JoH armor is the same way.

Ah, thanks. I should have guessed it would be that one, given the rather obvious name. What's funny is that there is no class restrictions on the armor. You could put the heavy SotQ armor on Solas if you wanted to. The JoH armor is the same way. Yep, it's very useful for making your skinny elven warrior into a muscular hunk :-D.

I got a surprise at Frostback Basin. I never saw this before. This is the second odd pyramid. I know there's one at Empress du Lion. Are there more?

I got a surprise at Frostback Basin. I never saw this before. This is the second odd pyramid. I know there's one at Empress du Lion. Are there more? I know you can find one during Trespasser. I'll keep an eye out and try to find more. --My mage character continues to surprise me. She's such a mom at heart. As the Keeper's Second, Arianna relished in taking care of the sick and infeeble among her clan. Her favorite time of day was when she got to talk to children. Like Solas, she's a born teacher and is happy to teach most people about what she knows of the Dalish. --She wants to keep Sera close to try to her the girl deal with some of her fears. Arianna actually genuinely cares for Sera and wants to protect her. They do have a bit in common. My mage does have a wicked sense of humor most of the time. However, she's tender by nature and knows when to can the jokes. --Ari has flirted with Cass twice now, just to see her flustered. I'll stop after this, but it was very cute. I'm still going for Solas anyhow. --Ari's got more than a bit of a benign prankster in her and certainly despises much of human nobility. Depending upon how things turn out, she might ask if Sera has any work for her in the future. We'll see. That's quite a ways out yet. --Ari's maternal sense is why she hates the Chantry. It clicked earlier while doing Mother Gisele's dialogue tree. My mage dedicated herself to Mythal for Her wisdom, guidance and motherhood. Above all else, protecting the weak and innocent, educating the young and old alike, and seeking balance in judgment are very important to her. --In her eyes, the Chantry has become the antithesis of all of that. They have a woman they revere and claim to protect the masses. However, instead of using their belief to help people, they've mostly become a bunch of greedy fools that use their faith to gain political and personal glory. --I took Sera with me for IHW. When I found her, she sounded frightened and trying to keep it together. She was trying to sing a nursery rhyme and kept stumbling. She was scared shitless when she saw Arianna walk up. There is two dialogue options that reassure her. It struck me at how young Sera probably is. It isn't just immaturity imho. If Sera is much older than 16 or 17 at the beginning of the game, I would honestly be surprised. The poor kid in the Bad Future made me choke up a bit. I've taken the enitre early Haven crew with me for this segment now. Sera's reaction broke my heart. --On a character level, my mage has vowed to keep Sera from harm as long as they are working together. It didn't help that the body tossed at the end of IHW was hers. Sera may be young and stubborn, but she's an elf and Ari still considers her one of the People. My mage shocked the tar out of me by respecting Sera for walking her own path. Come hell or high water, she's going to look out for her.. Too bad the poor thing is going with me to Abyss because I'm cruel and I want to see her reaction. But hey, Sera at the Ball? That'll be good.
