My favorite quest is also IYHSB, such a fine piece of writing...kind of Rogue One esque. Anyways. From the Diary of Kara Trevelyan: Met with my compatriots before the Exalted Council. Dorian's leaving, this time he says it will be permanantly. It feels sad this might be a while before we see each other again. Varric is now the Viscount of Kirkwall! Cole has a girlfriend!! And Blackwall found some of his people. It was a bit of a tense meeting. I have never quite forgiven him for what he did during the trial, but I am happy for him. The big news though is Cullen has proposed to me, and I acccepted...perhaps kind of against my better judgement...but as long as I get to keep my last name I'm happy. He can be Cullen Trevelyan for all I care...that will make my late mother smile.
The Ferelden position for the Exalted Council does make a fair bit of sense, they are worried about our power. I'm worried about our power. But I believe we can still do some good in the world, though maybe it is time to set things in motion? Still it would be hard to 'retire' from this job, I am only 31 years old. The Orlesian though, I will never see the Inquisition leashed to the Empire that we ourselves have leashed. The Orlesians are dangerous enough as friends I will never see them as our masters.
Regardless, within ten minutes, the Exalted Council has hardly begun...and already we have to deal with a murder plot, a Qunari...this should be good. ...And that is pretty much it for a change. Interesting; different from what I ran into in my PT. I assume you "humanized" Cole? Why the problems with Dorian? Low approval? Cole humanized. And no problem with Dorian he is just leaving because he always leaves to get to the Tevinter Imperium again and assume his Father's seat on the magisterium. Just it did make Kara sad.

New year, new Inquisitor! I need just one more run to complete all of the romances, so yesterday (when I finally crawled out of bed after the New Year party the night before) I made a new Lavellan. He's an archer and will be romancing Cassandra. Not that they're getting along very well so far, but I have hope for the future. I am planning for my regular squad to be Team Belligerent Sexual Tension with Dorian and Bull as the other two members.
My favourite part of roleplaying is being surprised by my own characters, and this one is certainly managing that so far. I had some plans going in - he's in his late thirties, a widower, is skeptical about any and all gods including the elven ones, chooses sarcasm whenever possible. What I didn't anticipate before I was choosing dialogue options is his level of bitterness about his clan and Dalish elves in general. He loves his people, but he doesn't always like them very much. He's going to get on with Sera a hell of a lot better than my last Dalish elf, that's for sure.
Haven't done a lot yet; tooled around the Hinterlands until I got enough Power to speak to the Chantry, then went to the Storm Coast to recruit Iron Bull. I think Carathir Lavellan and Bull are going to be bros. Archery is already great fun, and I'm looking forward to unlocking his Artificer specialization. Now if I could just stop hitting the Hook & Tackle button by accident ...

They do make elves, especially females, rather scrawny. I once had a female elf romance Sera and it sadly looked like an adult woman perving with a 14-year old girl. I installed a mod to fill out female elves a bit more which seems to help. My current elf mage is romancing Solas on my current PT. Why not recruit Vivienne even if you don't want her as Divine? I only accidently made her Divine once. I believe the line "I want mages in the Chantry" during a conversation with Vivienne in Haven did it. If you don't get along with her or agree with her on much, she's not going anywhere. I do like the giant versus dragon scene. It reminds me of those old monster movies (like the original "King Kong") that used stop motion animation special effects. I didn't want to take Viviene because I'm not sure what's the trigger. I know Leliana + recruiting mages + supporting her increases the chances of her being Divine but I had a couple of PTs where Viviene ended up Divine instead. I'll try taking her on and not choose that line you mentioned. Hope that is the trigger although I'm pretty sure I never picked that. I supposed I have to be negative towards her / not choose to take her quest / not talk to her. I dont have such an accident with Vivienne. Simply my character don't kind with her, and disagree with her. And ask her opinion about Leliana.

I've finished the two remaining dlc areas, the Ostagar (v.good) and Soldier's Peak, ran through the Alienage quests, then did a few takes on Land-meet. Noticed the shaky quality of dlcs - it's hard to trigger cutscenes, had to do searches a few times, reload, etc.
Well, Anora and Alister proved to be very uncooperative. First try I sent Alister in Cailan's armor looking like a golden demigod to gallantly win the challenge... Alnora was unimpressed and I ended up with her as a queen, and Alister bending his knee...
I tried Sten kicking Logain to the curb, and then Alister grew agitated and proud and claimed the crown, because he did not fancy Therin as a Warden, he fancied him as dead. No wedding bells there either.
I went researching, and apparently to force them to marry, the Warden needs to kill Logain herself...
I will give a shot to it tomorrow. I got sidetracked into getting full conversation and romance track with Zevran after Alistair figured he can't deal with the Blight, a lover and a search for a suitable wife all in his remaining couple of years of life. Luckily bio was flexible enough to ignore the previous break up of the romance with Zevran. As far as little boys sold to be trained as assassins go, Thane turned out way better than Zevran According to my very authoritative opinion. But, hey, Zevran is not without his charms, and he is funnier.
Gonna try to get Alistair marry the queen, then see if I can push through the Final battle, to hopefully finish the game before going back to work. Ah, it was a nice holiday in Ferdelain. 😀

Over new years there have been time for some gaming. =) And IYHSB is still my favourite quest ever. ”To you, my second-born, I grant this gift: In your heart, shall burn an unquenchable flame all-consuming, and never satisfied. From the Fade, I crafted you, and to the Fade you shall return. Each night in dreams that you may always remember Me.” The canticle of Threnodies, the Chant of light. Only problem as a dwarf I don’t dream. So, this Maker didn’t make us. As I have been living here among these Andrastians I have taken up studying as well. I need to understand in depth what I’m dealing with and what is the truth behind the veil of lies. I spend a lot of my time, when recuperating in my quarters, reading and writing down my view on these events. I need to tread carefully as I have cut my ties to my old life. Since we have the templars we need ready and we have enough lyrium on hand it is time to head on up to the breach. By the stone, we will make it. The ritual was a success! We closed the Breach! It still took an enormous amount of energy to enforce my will upon the breach but as more and more templars suppressed the Breach I could feel myself growing stronger and stronger. Finally, a release of energy and the Breach collapsed in on itself and was gone in an explosion. We survived this one as well. Now everyone is happy and dancing. They should have their fun but it isn’t over yet. We still need to find those responsible and we still need to know more about this “Elder one”. It turned out I was right to be cautious at the party. Our feeling of victory didn’t last long as we were beset upon by an enemy force. Ahead of the force came Dorian, the friendly tevinter mage to warn us. Of course, it was the Venatori and the rebel mages, they were led by grand enchanter Fiona, a tevinter mage called Calpurnia and of course the Elder on himself. He looked like some sort of ancient darkspawn from afar. I would get a closer look later in the battle that came. We were outnumbered and encircled but we had trebuchet that we use to bring down an avalanche upon the approaching force. That gave a short respite until the Elder one showed us his ace in the deck. An archdemon or something very similar. It crushed our trebuchet and broke our defenses. We had to fall back to the chantry. Haven was overrun. We managed to revive and save some straggling civilians out of burning houses on our way. Right outside the chantry gates our quartermaster Threnn gave her life for Harrit, Segritt, Flissa, Minaeve and Adan. Inside the chantry, we were greeted by the Chancellor Roderick. He was badly hurt from trying to fight some Venatori. He had no training in arms at all. Brave. He apologized for all the bad words. It turned out he had the key to our salvation. He knew of a passage in chantry catacomb leading out into the mountain pass above Haven. We had one trebuchet left. If I could keep the dragon occupied long enough for our people to sneak out and then bury Haven under an avalanche the people might be saved. Well, I never pictured myself doing the heroic sacrifice but The Elder one was obsessed with me so I was the only one that could really pull this plan off. Who knows, if I ran really fast just maybe I could stay one step ahead of the avalanche. Yeah…sure. Sera, Viv and Blackwall volunteered to follow me. We fought through Venatori and mages down to the trebuchet. We had to fight of wave upon wave of enemies before we had the trebuchet set up just right. Then we had to defend our position until we got the signal from Cullen that all were safe. Eventually Fiona herself came to do battle with us. Viv showed through bloody teeth who was the rightful grand enchanter! With Fiona down The Elder one threw his ace on us. I screamed to the others to run for it. So, there I was alone against a dragon the size of a city. Almost. The Elder one called himself “the will that is Corypheus”. Henceforth I will call him Corypheus for short. Corypheus claimed that the mark is an anchor he created to open a passage through the veil so he can enter the fade. Again. He claimed he had done I before, that he was one of the original magisters to reach the golden city, or the black city. He claimed there was no maker and his plan was to take back his anchor, open up the heavens again, enter the black city and become a true God. I let him have his overblown speech since I had mine at Therinfal redoubt. He had a magical orb with which he would remove the anchor from me. As he began the mark became unstable again and as more magic pulsed through it the pain increased manifold. Again, the unbearable pain. As much as he tried the anchor could not be removed. He tossed me aside and as luck would have it I landed by the release for the trebuchet. Corypheus said he would have to find some other means to breach the veil. He wasn’t finished with me yet however. He would accept no rival and I had to die. That’s when Cullen’s signal rose over the pass. I thanked Cory for the chat, released the mountain on Haven and ran like a nug on fire! Amgarrak? At least I survived. I ran without really looking where I was going and fell down an insufficiently covered mining shaft. There are a lot of holes in Haven. I was badly bruised. I could hardly walk. The way behind was blocked by rubble, ice, and snow. Only way was forward into the mountain. The mark was different, stable again but energy had built up in it and as I ran into a group of demons I released that energy. A small rift opened and sucked the life out of the demons. This will be useful. I pushed on through the mountain, through the snow, a blizzard. I was ready to give up like a hundred times but something kept me going. At last I found them. As I did I just collapsed drained of all energy. The camp was full of desperate, tired, people. Our leaders argued openly about what to do, where to go. I had a long talk with Mother Giselle. She still believed it was all divine providence whereas I felt none of that. One thing she did prove beyond any shadow of doubt was that the people believed in me. They had seen me facing certain death, seen the mountain come down and yet here I was very much in the flesh. I was now even more holy to them than before. That’s when Solas wanted a private talk. He knew what the orb Corypheus used was. It was elven and he feared what the Andrastians would do if they found out. He knew it from the fade, he said. He also knew where we could go and rebuild. He had withheld this information until know because him being somewhat skeptic regarding the Inquisition so far. But if I would lead them then he felt safe enough. I agreed and led the faithful north. What we found there was really beyond my wildest dreams. Skyhold!
I'll be back How'd you get your dwarf into the PC mage's trench coat? When you choose the Templars, fighting Fiona is fun. She looks like a demonic fairy! It's the Hunter coat, the superior one. I guess they look very similar but this one comes with lock-picks and murder knife. The enchanter coat may come with murder knife as well. It's been a while since I played a mage.

This is super pissing me off. The march to Skyhold failed again. I'm tired of this shit. I don't know wtf is mucking up the thing, which mods or whatever. Without mods, the cutsecene never fails. After I add in mods, it's complete failure. I'm not sure what I did in my previous PT to push it through.
As of now, going to take out loot expansion and see if that works. I'm getting sick of the cutscene now; replay over and over and blankety blank on the march.
P.S. I removed everything except for the eyebrows and skyhold armor mod. One Q. I don't get the extra option of crafting masterwork armor / weapon; that extra small box at the top where special mats can be inserted. Is this ability restricted to warriors?

Have you recruited Dagna yet? I think she's in charge of masterworking and runes. But the ability is open for all classes. -- As for what has been done in DA universe. Nothing today. Did start Shattered War some time ago, so far so good, but since I really dislike messing up, I'm avoiding the next session for now. Idled with the idea to create another elf face in DAI, but random generator in DA Keep did not spit out the randomness I wanted. So skipped on that.

Anyway, the three specialists came in. Confused. One seemed to be about assassins. That's out. The Inq is a bow user. One seems to be talking about traps. Ok, useful. The third is talking about ... tonics? Or whatever, going to look it up. Being a warrior is so much easier; I just want to slam the living daylights out of the mobs. I always take reaver because I like using the dragon-like claws to take life from the mobs. P.S. After reading, looks like either artificer or tempest. Anyone has recommendations? I do not intend to go assassin. Staying with the longbow.

Sounds like you finally made it Skyhold. I've never had any issues with that scene while using mods, but I don't use any hair ones, so maybe that's the problem child?
No masterwork options available until you recruit Dagna at Skyhold. You can buy blank runestones in VR after recruiting either mages/Templars, then make runes in Haven as long as you have the right mats. Dagna isn't required for runes.
As for spec, if the choice is between Artificer and Tempest, I would pick Artificer. It borks up some of Varric's dialogue later on (not the card game or any quest) but I just find it a ton of fun. The only issue I've had with it is having too many explosions either crash the game (once) or turn it into a Prothean beacon vision (super fast image roll on repeat) while fighting the Librarians in Trespasser. I ended up having to reload to do the fight over again.

I've been on a dragon age binge.
I finally got around to doing the whole "Queen Cousland" thing, after like 5 years of having the game (in my defense, I keep rolling Casteless and City elves when I pick a character). And it was all right, and cute, and nice. Origins has possibly the best ending of any Bioware game, but of course as soon as I got about half way through, my brain goes "OMIGAWD I GET TO PLAY AWAKENING NOW. NATHANIEL. SIGRUN. CHIPPER ANDERS," and I start tuning out everything.
I haven't got to Sigrun yet (though I may have bugged myself by too much faffing about in Amaranthine, DAMNIT). But I have Nathaniel Howe and happy Anders back in my party, and I love it so very huggy much.
I really do love Awakening. I like most of the quests, I like the faffing about vs fighting vs chit-chat balance (though I'd love to talk to all of my party EVEN MORE because I'm greedy like that), and I freaking adore all of the companions. Grouchy-ass Nathaniel is pretty much always in my top 5 for Dragon Age characters, despite shifting loyalties based on the last game played and my mood, and Sigrun, if not there, at least makes the top ten.
If I was a better art-hunter, I would absolutely start the Amaranthine Wardens Fan Club in the Dragon Age Origins character section. As is, I haunt other threads hoping to get a whiff of my favorite set of Thedas-friends.

I do not intend to go assassin. Staying with the longbow. You can use the assassin spec with an archer. I did that in a playthrough and had a lot of fun with it. Otherwise, I love the artificer with my archers. You get some nice traps to use, if people come too close - or you can bring the traps to the enemies with 'Hook an Tackle' and then get out with that one talent from the archer tree, that lets you roll backwards, out of harms way. I have the problems with the white screen every time, I go to Skyhold. This time, with my elf Riya, I had to disable all mods to get it working. Without mods, Riya looks like that, which is kind of cute too: (with mods like my avatar)

Riya finally reached Skyhold after my fourth try completely without mods. There she hanged out with Iron Bull, made fun of Cassandra for reading romances and getting drunk with Iron Bull. After that she went to meet Hawke - and there, I encountetred a strange bug: I uploaded my mage Hawke who romanced Fenris and I got a mage Hawke in game who romanced Anders. I have no problem with Anders, but after some playthroughs with my other world stat (rogue Hawke, who romanced Anders), I wanted some new dialogue options, but obviously, the Keep decided differently. Well then, I have to hear about poor Anders and Cory messing with his mind again Here are some pics: Waiting for Hawke There she is Getting drunk with Iron Bull (I see a future romance there) Being drunk

Happy new year, DA adventurers! Kicking off 2017, I got a lot done yesterday with Alexandra. So, here's part one of three.
Last time we heard from our heroine, she was venturing into the Western Approach to take on darkspawn that were surfacing in the area. First off, she, Blackwall, Dorian and Sera captured Griffon Wing Keep and kicked out the Venatori that were residing there. When the Inquisition's soldiers and scouts moved into the fortress, Alex and her team made sure there were fresh water resources and that roaming bandits weren't causing trouble with supply caravans.
Moving forward, guess who was behind the darkspawn problem? No surprise, it was the Venatori. AGAIN. The mastermind was none other than a slimy magister named Servis, so our heroes chased him across the desert. Steamrolling through giants, rogue mages and more Venatori agents. Once Servis was captured, he was shackled and brought to Skyhold. During the entire desert adventure, no one in Alex's party made a peep after the lady Inquisitor previously threatened them in the Storm Coast.
Returning to Skyhold, Servis stood before the lady Inquisitor to be judged. The slippery mage tried to bargain for his freedom, but Alex saw through his lies. "Guards! Bind him with a note and leave him on the road for a Venatori patrol to find. His master would happily want him back!" she commanded, casting her verdict.
"Are you serious?! No! Stop! Stop!" the magister cried as the guards dragged him from the great hall.
After the trial was over, Alex immediately left Skyhold with Cassandra to find the missing Seekers and the real Lord Seeker Lucius. As per Leliana's report, the Seekers were last seen in Caer Oswin. While exploring the castle, Alex and Cassandra fought through members of a cultist group named the Promises and found Cassandra's apprentice, Daniel. Daniel wasn't looking well after being tortured by the cultists and a demon was forced inside him. Mustering up any remaining strength he had, he told them about the Lord Seeker's betrayal. "He lead us here... One by one.. An important mission he said.. Lies! He was with them all along!" he spat bitterly.
"But.. Couldn't it have been the envy demon we encountered in Therinfall?" Alex pondered.
Daniel shook his head. "The demon came later. Lucius let it take command of the Templar Order."
The lady Inquisitor bristled. "If we find the Lord Seeker, he's a dead man!" she snarled turning away from Cassandra and Daniel.
Daniel looked to the lady Seeker. "Please, don't leave me..." he begged her.
Cassandra felt sick and angry after hearing all of this from her apprentice. Steeling herself, she drew her sword. "Go to the Maker's side, Daniel. You will be welcome with Him," she whispered then swiftly ended his life.
With determined resolve, Alex and Cassandra battled their way through more cultists until they finally confronted the Lord Seeker. Lucius looked rather smug when he revealed his own plans to cleanse the world of abominations. Including the Seekers. "If you don't believe me, see for yourself!" He whipped out a sacred tome. "It was passed to me by the previous Lord Seeker. I have seen the truth!"
Letting out an exasperated sigh, Alex heard enough of crazy people trying to blow up the world. Racing ahead of her comrade, she charged at Lucius.
Once the Lord Seeker and cultists were defeated, Cassandra retrieved the tome and returned to Skyhold with the lady Inquisitor. Later in the smith's forge, Alex and Cassandra discussed the details of the Seekers' sacred tome. The lady Seeker initially thought about rebuilding the Seekers, but after all that happened, she wasn't sure. "If you were to rebuild the Seekers, what would you do?" Alex asked.
Cassandra thought for a moment, then spoke, "I can't be the only one. But I would find them one by one, we would all read this book, no more secrets."
That answer alone was enough for the lady Inquisitor. "Make the Seekers better than they once were, Cassandra. You know what to do."
The lady Seeker turned to her leader with a grateful expression. "Thank you. I couldn't have done this without you."
To be continued....

From the Diary of Kara Trevelyan, final entry: So the Inquisition is now the honor guard to Divine Victoria. It was the only possible option given the facts available. With Solas out there, and the South still recovering, the Inquisition can sort of have a running start to leading the resistance. Though this is not a permanent mission, one day we will put down our swords, and I do not believe I will be in the position much longer myself. Officially anyways. I will eventually do as Leiliana suggests and 'retire', because it is me they truly fear, and not the Inquisition itself.
But in the short term our mission is simple.
Publicly the Inquisition will act technically as the Divine's other hand. A peacekeeping organization, a watcher, a place for people to gather and settle their disputes before it comes to war. We will make the world a better place.
Behind the scenes the Inquisition will be one of the main apparatuses hunting for Solas and keeping a watch for the enactment of his plan so we can stop it in a practical sense.
Publicly I will work the papers, I can do little else in my condition, attend balls, be as visible as a face as I possibly can be. I will be with the divine every step of the way and help her conduct her affairs and direct the Inquisition's efforts, though I suspect Cullen will be taking over the day-to-day.
Privatley, I will be working on my own efforts. Behind the scenes I will be setting up...for lack of a better term...resistance cells. I will have to pick Sera's brains on the specifics. The intention will be to improve the lot of every day Thedosians in order to prove Solas wrong. What this entails I have no real idea, but considering that we both hate slavery...then that must be our objective. To weaken the power of the nobles, to bring...self government? to the masses. I have no idea what the hell to even call these ideas but its the best I have, and its something I believe is neccessary from my time as Inquisitor. Where all men and women...Mage...Elf...or Dwarf...can be equal under the law. But not quite as forcefully as Leiliana puts it, that will simply create a new ruling class replacing the old.
Regardless. It has been my pleasure to lead the Inquisition for the last 5 years or so. We started as a diverse group of people, several of our members hated each other, had very differing political and social views. But, at the end of the day we came together, as friends, and comrades...most of us...for the betterment of society. This alone gives me hope for the future and that we will prove Solas wrong and maybe, just maybe 'restore the world of the elves'...in some form anyway. But as we go our seperate ways many of us, many of us will continue to act towards that goal of making the world a better place for all, whether they realize it or not.
This is Kara Trevelyan, Inquisitor of the Inquisition, signing off. So, I have reached the end of Dragon Age Inquisition once again. And this was a very...jarring experience. I knew it would come to an end, and as always found myself with very mixed emotions. Pride and joy at the piece of art BioWare has managed to create, and for myself for finishing it, sadness because I know this is going to be my last playthrough for a long, long time. It is funny how much this game does mean to me. How much this game, indirectly maybe, has given me. But I truly have enjoyed it, and cherished it. Now, I'll be doing something similar in the ME thread for those who want to join me.

Could be the hair mods. I downloaded some long hair ones but I never find them to my liking. They don't fit my image of the Inq, they're out of place for a warrior / archer, they humped up extremely awful on the head misshaping it (I tried one on Hawke and her head looks like a quarter is squashed. The CC is so dark I didn't see it until she's out of it. Dumped and remade.). So why d/l them? To see the effect. Not good. I noticed that they will appear on NPCs. I'm going to remove the long hair mods. The short hair mods should not cause too much problems. Or it could be the inventory. I've 200 over items in the inventory. Artificer it is. Thanks.

Moving onto part two, Alex's adventures continue in the Exalted Plains. After securing an alliance with Empress Celene and ending the civil war, the lady Inquisitor along with Cassandra, Varric and Solas travelled to the war torn area to help the Orlesians regain their footing. They cleared the battle grounds that were infested with undead and took down the so called Freemen of the Dales, who were a hindrance to the Imperial troops.
Alex also helped Solas free his spirit friend from a group of travelling mages, who turned it into a demon. But she prevented him from killing the mages after listening to their side of the story.
While Solas left to deal with the aftermath alone, Alex and the rest further explored the plains. Battling three roaming rogue chevaliers, demons, sealing fade rifts and encountering a Dalish campsite. Although she remained civil towards the Dalish Keeper during their initial conversation, the lady Inquisitor kept her distance to not disturb the clan.
When they left the Exalted Plains, Varric returned to Skyhold. Dorian and Sera were called to join Alex and Cassandra in Crestwood. Some Inquisition scouts reported that the highwaymen in Caer Bronach were still causing trouble for the townspeople and travelling merchants. Wasting no time, our heroes stormed in and got rid of the bandits. Once it was over, the lady Inquisitor raised the flag, claiming another keep for the Inquisition.
Later at Skyhold, Alex met with the three warrior trainers and decided to train with Lord Chancer de Lion to become a Champion. "You're a fast learner, Inquisitor. However, you have to raise your standards to become the people's Champion!" Lord Chancer advised during their training sessions.
Raise my own standards... Alex thought to herself. There was already so much being placed on her shoulders and so many were depending on her. What more can she do? It was something she had to seriously consider.
To be continued...

Well, done and done for me. I suppose I failed to do something earlier on, because even after defeating Logain with my Warden, Alister and Alnora refused the matrimony. Alnora was more interested in beheading Alister than bedding him.
I wanted to see if there were special cutscenes if the Warden put Alnora in charge, marriage and the like, but the game got buggy in the end and after a couple of replays, Alister still firmly believed he was the next King of Ferelden, despite swearing his allegiance to the Bitchqueen.
I decided that his delusions merited giving in, and also by then I had a bellyful of spiteful Alnora, so I reloaded from the point where Alister reached for the crown and locked her up in a cozy tower (and the Warden found consolation in Zevran's arms).
And... I got to talk Alister into bedding a woman that I despise even more than Alnora. I was laughing my head off, but I felt that the playthrough would have worked better on a male character. The female one turned into a soap opera, and the game had a hard time keeping up with the flags, because Alister missed the actions in Warden's tent, and the Warden kept getting options about loving Alister, and Alister loving her back, all forlorn. I could not take the story seriously after that at all.
Anyway, after I've watched Morrigan force herself on Alister, we got to slay the dragon, all smiles and happiness. My heart fell when I saw the height of that tower, because I imagined having to fight on floors one through one hundred.... but luckily it only have a couple playable floors.
So, done with the main story, I still have the Awakening I can play with my Mage, but I want to return to my Mass Effect campaign for a while. Dragon Age is certainly a very well made game, but between a few bugs, and it's length, and a few silly turns, and the absence of the grand philosophical themes, and DA being more tongue-in-cheek, MET is more my speed.
Thanks for chatting & helping out, folks, and have fun playing!

Didn't get much done yesterday; mainly just side quests in the Hinterlands to get enough Power to move the plot along. Got as far as meeting Dorian in the Redcliffe Chantry. Anyway, here is a picture of my current Lavellan: I'm pretty happy with him, and after far less fiddling around with the Mirror of Transformation than I usually do. (He is not really this orange, the lighting in the Redcliffe Chantry is just weird, but it's a good cutscene for taking shots of faces.)

Thanks for chatting & helping out, folks, and have fun playing! Hmmm....did you talk to Anora after you rescued her from Howe? You should be able to convince her to marry Alistair to keep the Therin bloodline alive. Then during the Landsmeet, your PC has to execute Loghain. She won't marry Alistair if he does the deed. Also, did you harden Alistair? Aside from that, Awakening is the most important of the DLCs taking place after the main story of Origins. Of the others, if you like Leliana, the "Leliana's song" DLC covers her history with Marjolaine and is short and sweet. The "Witch Hunt" DLC makes sense doing only if your PC did the Dark Ritual with Morrigan. Skip Golems...

Issaar Adaar Emprise du Lion, Cullen's quest (Samson's armor). (How I hate! The map is not big enough also without fucking mountains and "You-would-not-get-through-idiot-hahaha" roadblocks? – Sorry...) So: Issaar and his group arrived. Right from the first mission buggy (always, you guys know some solution?): They found a weird piramid: They killed a pile of red Templars, and freed theirs slaves, then they went back to Skyhold with the information. The armor made by a tranquil, named Maddox. Cullen knew him, from Kirkwall. To be continued...

Catilina What are you finding buggy? Activating the ring quest? Maybe if you wait for the old woman to leave the house?

If Alnora was as politically savvy and sophisticated as she claimed to be, she'd be jumping at the chance to marry Alister, and achieve a smooth power transition. She can have her capricious fits about how she'd make an awesome queen in the dungeon. yes, I know Awakening is a long storyline linking two games. i'll give it a shot one of these days, and I'd like to play through all the background stories eventually.
