*sigh* Went to the Exlated Plains. I'm annoyed the question about the Dirth came up (when speaking to the Dalish hunter) and there're no different lines / responses to Harding's statement about the tragedy on the place. At least there's no line about unfriendly elves. That would have killed the PT for me. I didn't get the eraser for Mythal so I'm expecting the stupid Qs to pop up later which I'm going to ignore / pretend I never see. Yes, the Inq has the Mythal vallaslin on her face but she doesn't know who is she. I hope they do better with DA4. Out of the playable races, the Exalted Plains holds great meaning / history to the elves but the devs never bothered to come up with a different set of dialogues for elven Inqs. What a great miss. Reason why I resisted playing other races for so long; they don't have the means to create such a setting and they can't cater to every one if they want to put in so many races. They just have one foundation set and made tiny changes of no consequence / relevance.

SIGH
Wanted to watch hubs play through Orzamaar. It took him 7 hours to get 10k gold just so he could RP he came back rich. Then 6 hours later, he still hasn't even beaten down Jarvia's hideout. Because he had to completely set up everyone's armor. Then he did some talking. The Provings (which still get me pretty pumped.) then he spoke to Harrowmont and got the Jarvia quest. Started it with only 3 potions. Refused to go get more, so he lost the Guard battle about 4-6 times before a combination of luck and strategy (probably mostly luck) won him the battle. Then I insisted he go get more, cuz you can't dungeon crawl with no potions. WELL. He wanted THE BEST. So, then he had to leave and get stuff to make 400 potent health potions even though I told him that would be a waste. Then he noticed some good robes...and a ring, and this other thing, and now he's spent another almost hour organizing the perfect equipment set for everyone.
At this rate, he will not complete Awakenings, Witch Hunt, DA2 plus 2 expansions, and DAI plus 3 expansions before August. It's just impossible.

Zevia ran into an enormous horde of darkspawn in Heidrun Thaig...that crazy series of encounters that doesn't let you save in between waves. I ran out of health and regen potions while battling the emissary alpha, thanks in part to Solas' refusal to stay out of range of the mooks where I put him. However, also thanks to Solas and his revival spell, I defeated them all just in time. So, screw you, Solas. But also thank you, Solas.
But then...screw you again, Solas. You know why.

*stifling annoyance* Yes Sera, the Inq is being important without doing a thing. *rolleyes* I'm regretting talking to her.
P.S. I doubt Solas would dance at the ball but does he come out to talk to the Inq? If so, does his personal quest has to be completed? I know Josie will appear if he does not.

Well, Issala Adaar finally finished the main campaign. All dragons slain. All shards uncovered. All areas explored. Every collection done (With a little help from the Golden Nug) and every mount purchased.
And thus my second completionist play through is done!
...Or it will be, she just arrived in the Frostback Basin and then there are these weird tremors she should probably investigate before dragging her feet to the Exalted Council.
Note: To my surprise, I was flipping through the codex and found a conversation between a vashoth farmer named Issala and Brother Genitivi. And here I was thinking I was being original with that name.

He wanted to break it off but I chose the take the risk. I didn't do his personal quest (the one about his friend) before the ball. I did the other one with his veil thingy. I guess his personal quests must be done before the ball. Oh well. The really weird thing is I keep getting romance options with Cullen even though the Inq ddi not flirt with him. I'm guessing the romance with Solas wasn't locked in or something.

I'm guessing the romance with Solas wasn't locked in or something. Then I think you're right; the companion quest is necessary. For myself, soon after arriving at Skyhold, I used Solas' quest to commence operations in the Exalted Plains. Solas does, after all, come to you asking for help. I suppose this is the point you go from "interested" to "going steady.' As to romance options, I still get them from everyone. I still use them on Cass just to torment her (and I know they're not going anywhere).

For myself, I thought I did well uncovering all the blackmail documents, etc. I always do all the shards because I like the resistance belts, especially the ones that would prove valuable in a dragon fight. Given that I'm rolling in money from farming operations, I suppose I could buy all the mounts, the drapes, beds, etc. Though your last point is probably the most important -- read all the codexes! That's how you find out all the details of the lore! I tend to "skim" too much.

I did get all the blackmail and caprice coins in my first completionist run, but I didn't this time. I was mostly worried about getting a banner crown I had missed previously to finish the collection.

I've never found all the blackmail or caprice coins. Considering that mission is my least favorite of the main ones, I probably never will either. I always get all the halla statues (+1) though. I like that WEWH is a change of pace for the game and a chance to compare the opulence of Orlais with the rustic charms of Ferelden. I do feel Briala and Gaspard are hopelessly underutilized in the mission, though. Having read TME, I would've liked a chance to fight with them as allies or against them. That one or the other will simply be dragged off and executed in the end seems like such a waste. A rogue or warrior deserves to go down fighting. There is a mod out there that cleverly lets you open all halla doors which adds to the fun of the halla quest. For myself, I can understand the logic of locating secrets. The caprice coin quest seems frivolous by contrast and I don't feel too bad if I don't find those.

I'm about to do the Winter Palace, but am tired of my armor for my male elf mage. He's been running around in Descent Armor to bulk his arms up.
Inquisition Scout Armor doesn't look too bad.
any other suggestions?
Apparently I'm hitting th eExalted plains up for that Ancient Elven Robes. Too bad there isn't a schematic for it.

Edit response to your edit: The schematic is Robes of the High Keeper but I don't remember where to get it. The Sandy Howler (Hissing Wastes) drops a version of the armor as loot.

Keeper High Robes Schematic "Looted from the Highland Ravager High Dragon in Emprise du Lion." Thanks, didn't even know the name of it to search for it! I'll survive with the looted one with a tint change. Then make it super hot after the Winter Palace. I'm liking the look of my -cowl of the overseer- and considering turning hats on. I want to be super fancy for my dance with Cassandra.

Wait. Do I have to let Celene die to be wearing my armor to the balcony for the Dance scene without mods? Not certain about that but fighting Flo achieve the same effect. * I'm annoyed with the camp scout that gives the requisition. Dorian was just starting off into an interesting question to Solas when the scout killed it permanently. Damn her. Now I won't get it back and I'd never know what's the whole thing. It's always happening in previous PTs. This happens in the tavern too, I hear an interesting conversation then I moved too far, just a couple of steps in another direction, into another zone and cuts off the entire thing. I hope they remove the interruptions in DA4.

Dumb question, what helmet do you use in conjunction with the Keeper Robes? I would use the battlemage cowl, but when I craft it, the pointy ears always stick out. Keeper Hawren and all those apostates in Keeper robes are always bareheaded.

No, you just have to fight Florianne. Somehow your dance partner (if a companion) will have time to change clothes though.
I'm annoyed with the camp scout that gives the requisition. Dorian was just starting off into an interesting question to Solas when the scout killed it permanently. Damn her. Now I won't get it back and I'd never know what's the whole thing. It's always happening in previous PTs. There's a mod for that. It's called something like "Annoying talk" and it gets rid of all of it. No more req officer interrupting you for no reason (unless you don't have an active req). No more, "There must be something here," lines (I kind of missed that one while harlequin hunting though).
Here: www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/870/?
I installed the combined version, but it looks like there are different modules for each type of thing removed, so you can pick just the req officer if you want. I don't think it works in JoH though, since I did get the "make camp" comments there.

phoray melbella Dumb question, what helmet do you use in conjunction with the Keeper Robes? I would use the battlemage cowl, but when I craft it, the pointy ears always stick out. Keeper Hawren and all those apostates in Keeper robes are always bareheaded.
I don't use show hats in-game, so I mostly just use whatever has the best stats, no matter how ugly. For Bruenor, I ended up with the Helm of the Drosca (buy it from dog merchant with Short List perk). I usually give the battlemage cowls to Dorian and Solas. There's always the flower crown - that's pretty elfy.

Bummer. It only shows hats out of scene regardless of clicking the button. Also- whoa! So many Inquisition Soldiers die if you choose not to humiliate her at court! I felt bad. Just so I could be fancy during my dance and Cass was still in man wear worse than her cute armor I made for her.
