Started another elven female rogue, same as the first and this time, I hope to avoid the glitchy mistakes that I made in the other one. I think I'll play off two guys and see what happens. No prizes for guessing who. Also making different choice for mage / templars. DAI is presently the only RPG game I can replay so many times without feeling washed out. I lost my taste for ME, have no heart for it any more (games with bad endings just sour replay factor). A couple of times of it with MEHEM and I'm happy and done with it. The only thing I touch on ME now is the MP. I also tried looking at other RPG games but dungeon crawling and hero saving the day just doesn't cut it for me anymore either. A number are going old style BG without the char and story depth. Anyway, candid camera. Solas subtly announcing his ascendancy.

I would still recommend other players either NOT bring her to your Dalish Temple, mentally ignore it, or just romance her with a non Dalish, whether Andrastian or not. Agnostic/atheist elf works, too. (Not that I've got my current Lavellan that far yet, but his response to 'how do the Dalish believe this nonsense?' would be 'I have no idea. How do you believe your nonsense?' They have that kind of relationship.) I dunno. I'm an atheist with a Cherokee Heritage, and if a Christian attended a Native American museum with me going, "Geez, you people used to believe in some crazy shit" it'd still reflect badly on them. Oh, I hadn't thought that about Mass Effect when considering the eventuality of playing it. And I know how you feel...after 12 hours of internet searching I thought I'd like Kingdom of Amalur, and then I got lonely 3 hours in. :/

Ran through Hushed Whispers with Adahl. It was all very hush hush. Har har. Got a bunch of screenshots with the Iron Bull looking savage and Leliana was especially creepy with her glowing mascara. Combat wise had massive troubles with the Venatori but Alexius folded pretty quickly. Adahl allied with the mages, since he generally bore respect for them and brought home a portable Tevinter edition. Had a few chats with the crew and then signed off for now. His scrapbook entry in the spoilers (+ one picture from Hamin) , which he would have made if floating cameras existed in his world. Loaded up Hamin next, since I wrote it in the first post draft and that's a decent enough motivation. He closed a few rifts in the Emerald Graves, had one or two chats with everyone except Cullen (don't want to start Before Dawn just yet) and Cole (because...well...he forgot about him). Did the Verchiel March with Sera, let her do her interrupt and then made a halfhearted apology to her. She then invited him out for some pranks and he gladly accepted. Spied on Morrigan giving Alistair an update on Theron and their son in the garden. And did some visiting on Josephine's behalf and ended up killing some assassins. Then took Leliana's route in the resulting matter. Poor Josephine. Next up for Hamin will probably be Adamant, accompanied by Varric (Hawke), Blackwall (Warden business) and Bull/Cassandra (eyecandy).

I dunno. I'm an atheist with a Cherokee Heritage, and if a Christian attended a Native American museum with me going, "Geez, you people used to believe in some crazy shit" it'd still reflect badly on them. It's definitely a stupid and offensive thing to say! I just don't think that my current Lavellan is going to take it any worse than her constant insistence that he's the Herald of a prophet he doesn't believe in, sent by a human god he doesn't think exists. So in his case, I don't see it making much difference to the viability of the relationship. The milleage of other agnostic/atheist/whatever Lavellans might indeed vary.

Oooo oooo Cullen Vs Solas! Which would be an easy win for Cullen for me, I had to craft a character hard to get into Solas. And I know how you feel...after 12 hours of internet searching I thought I'd like Kingdom of Amalur, and then I got lonely 3 hours in. :/ I bought KoA too and also gave up after a few hours. I keep expecting interesting / personal dialogue but it's bad guys / creatures / someone missing / need something at this and that place blah blah, please help or whatever. zzzzz ... Romancing Solas is interesting but it also feels lonesome, sad and bleak at both endings (main story, Trespasser) which is why I hope the ending for the relationship isn't tragic. If it is, I'm not going to bother playing that pairing once Act 4 comes in. On another note, it's always irksome to see the Inq walk through the training grounds on the way to talk to Cullen. For Pete's sake, which idiot designed that?! No one in their right minds would go ten feet near a pair of trainees wielding swords and shields. Much less a gaggle of them belting it out right next to one another. With that much space at Haven, the devs had to cram them all in that small area. Cullen doesn't sound right for an instructor either. You there (moderate tone) ... not, you there!! (loudly, sharply) it'd be a miracle any ofthe trainees can hear him over the din.

Apparently, I was just a couple of spawns away from confronting the Baroness, so, I've killed it, then in my drive to finish the sidequest with the love letters joke quest (I was glad that the guy committed a suicide, heh) accidentally spawned some sort of an electric dragon that took a while to whittle down. So, the only thing I have had time for after clearing the Blackmarsh area was to purchase Blood Magic tome and spec Anders in it. Not sure what's the hype all about, as using down health instead of mana does not seem that appealing. But he has a blood mage robe on, so, well, I'll give it a shot. Still need to finish a Smuggler's den quest in the City, then it will be time for inventory unload in the castle. Hopefully I'll find some runes, because now absolutely everything has rune slots, but no runes, as opposite to the Origins, where you got tons of runes, but no runeslots.

I had looked up online for stuff you could do and they said you could get a house in such and such place and have your own mirror to change your looks. So, I set out to do that, which took me somewhere between 3-6 hours. And I changed my looks. Then looked around my house. Then was like... I have no friends to visit me, no family or servants to live with me, and no one to go date and visit at their house. I'm pretty sure the NPCs don't even notice that I've moved into town. *Turns it off and never turns back on again.* I'm glad his breakup scene isn't until post WoS, cuz otherwise one would burn through the scenes and end the relationship way too soon. I got all his scenes as a friend all in a row right after Skyhold and before either Adamant or Winter Palace and was like, whoa...going to have to intentionally ignore him on my romance PT won't I. And I hadn't thought about the cramped battle grounds. My character is impervious to such grievous flesh wounds as a sword to teh gut! Iron Bull helps him train them though, right?

It apparently can be pretty bad ass, but I think it takes planning. You have to up constitution instead of mana. I liked it well enough even without a ton of constitution, because I was an Arcane Warrior as well. A hit didn't steal all my health due to armor and barrier magic, and then I would cast from a safe distance until my mana ran low. Then I'd switch over to blood magic until my health ran low. I refused to buy lyrium potions the whole game, but always carried 200+ health potions, so I'd use my blood till it was low. Kick it off. Eat a potion. Use my mana that had refilled till empty again. Wash repeat. I never couldn't cast, pretty much. Because you have to make runes. No, it makes no lore sense, because only dwarves and tranquil are supposed to be good at it. And you can only make runes outside of the Castle with a companion, so if you can handle it, spec the skill yourself so you can craft in castle without all the loading screens.

I'll try it if mana runs low, but I don't think I will make it a mainstream. I am normally doing fairily well with draining mana from large spawns. I'd rather not craft, hate that stuff, you don't have this, you don't have that, and I keep dragging around the inventory full of the BS ingredients for a million different things that omg, I might use one day. Sucks. I wish they just had one npc that was parked in the castle who authomatically received all the dumb herbs and scraps and sold it all too, or procured it for a price. Then, yeah, I'd craft. Mass effect was one game with enough brains to do things right with upgrades.

I'm pretty sure the NPCs don't even notice that I've moved into town. *Turns it off and never turns back on again.* You made it further than me; I know about the house but my drive just sputtered out after picking up and finishing some quests. If the devs were constraint, it would have been better to do mass training. One does not straight away pick up a shield and sword and immediately go bashing away at a partner. The shield has weight, so does the sword. If the trainee is a farmer or someone used to lifting heavy loads, lifting wouldn't be a problem. Their problem would be holding and directing their sword / weapon strokes. A person not used to lifting would need to strengthen themselves first. Instead of several partnered clones madly whirling away as if they're experts in the background, which they're not, the devs could have a few lines of them facing templar trainers shouting them through their paces as they learned to use a sword / shield / pole arms, etc. Further away, several could be lifting hulks or heavy items to strengthen themselves. Is it tough to put those kind of animated robots in the background? Learning to fight in the ranks would be at a later stage. IB training them? Maybe.

Mass effect was one game with enough brains to do things right with upgrades. Oh, on the runes. I compltely ignored them until before the final battle. I only did it AT ALL because Harren and Wade's quests, I wanted to do them, and they require runes of high level. So, I did all my crafting in one go for half an hour ish, just enough to get those high level runes for those quests. The side benefit of walking into the courtyard so many times is the Statue is a banter Trigger, so I got all the way through Anders (who I'd specced with Rune crafting) and Justice's banter while I was at it. THIS was great, because I finally had the whole picture of their interactions together before DA2. I'm not much of a Justice user. Then whatever runes weren't used up by the side quest, I equipped to my weapons. Then I left for the final battle. so Rune Crafting is totally optional. I think I also knew about the lack of runes in DAA and bought them from venders in Origins before leaving in the first place. I'd forgotten to mention that to you. :/

Ah, I will survive, no worries. No runes, but it dropped a Shale's crystal in the loot. Now, is not that useful....
I am actually thinking keeping Justice as my tank. I like him more than the dwarf, even though I try to keep the crew as multi species as possible. But iirc there is another warrior and another rogue I am yet to meet.

I only use the third - which burns the blood of living things - and the fourth, which allows you to take control of an enemy. I usually have enough potions on hand (or the ingredients to make them) to avoid the first and second. Blood magic is useless against demons and the undead if I remember correctly...except for powers one and two. As mentioned before, rune-crafting in Awakening is insane! (I wonder what became of the game designer who came up with this system? The rite of tranquility is too good for him!) That's one thing that improved immeasurably in Inquisition. I don't remember the specifics of how runes are dealt with in DA2, but it was far less annoying then in Awakening.

I dunno, I actually found Blizzard to be a bust, making my characters fall over, and the fiery explosion hurt visibibility so I didn't like it much. Cone of Cold was my winner, isn't it a lvel 2 spec? Warden's keep, yes. It was very useful, for me, the "Dark Sustenance": self-inflicted wound lets the mage draw from the power of tainted blood, rapidly regenerating a significant amount of mana but taking a small hit to health.. It had an interesting cinematic as well. I used it a lot until I got the spec from the Desire Demon in the Fade Later. Then the cinematic, as interesting as it was, took too long compared to just switching over to "Blood Magic."

Okay. Did the Red Crossing Mission, cuz that seemed important to me as a Dalish. Also, researching well of Sorrows WT mission got me sweet Sentinel Armor. Tinted it up with some silverite, changed my seer hat to grey and blue, and ready to go. Had my Goodbye Stroll around Skyhold. And Sutherland and co had said goodbye earlier but then they were actually gone! Even if Sutherland kept shouting"Inquisitor!" And making me think he wanted to talk to me... I'll miss those blokes. And if not getting to make out with your LI wasn't enough of a sign, Sutherland being gone was a perfect sign to "move on" as it were. Here I come, Trespasser!

I deleted my human mage game. I made some mistakes with her, I couldn't bare to play with. But I created a new human to play later on, because also I love dwarves and elves best, I want to play at least one human (and maybe one Qunari, if I can make one, I like). I named my human Kaylee afer my favorite Firefly character. The original Kaylee is very sweet and funny and I try to play my Kaylee that way. I guess, she would fit well with either Bull or Sera, but I really try the Cullen romance this time (funny enough: Firefly-Kaylee did go for the gentleman too )

hahahahaha I guess I hadn't found all the letters before. Leliana is testing her applicants with litters of nugs. This was just after I was a bit sad that she hadn't talked about her nug breeding business. I was like, huh, guess she's too busy for nugs as Divine.
This is the first elf I've taken into Trespasser. Pretty Crossroads Fade place.
could have sworn I've been attacked by those statues at the place you get the Anchor buff from. Is it because I drank from the Well of Sorrows?
Oh cool! The spirits are fighting with me!

Oh cool! The spirits are fighting with me!Yes, there's a benefit to drinking from the Well of Sorrows! Thank you, Flemeth, wherever you are!

I don't get why the Fereldan Monarch couldn't have shown up for the Exalted Council. May make sense for Alistair, barely, doesn't make sense for Anora. In the same vein, Empress Celene is there... but doesn't show. Cavorts about with Briala. Glad to hear their relattionship is going well, but this screams Voice Acting Budget to me. Also, I am so super fond of Sera. I knew she got softer on elf issues in Trespasser...but then she asked how I was doing with all my elven beliefs falling round my ears. Why doesn't the LI do that?! Speaking of LIs...where is my extra romantic scene with Cass? Blackwall shows up in your room, Cullen marries you... Hello Cass? Not even a kiss? Speaking of companions that are softer in Trespasser... I really like Warden Rainier. He likes Cole. He likes Sera. And he has interesting things to say about the Warden Order when he's in it. Trespasser was their last planned DLC. But there are two very interesting Weishaupt mentions. Wonder if it's an intended DLC of DA4....or even maybe a pre quel to DA4. Hmmmm. I keep causing glitches that make me turn off the game, and I'm mod free :/ So, my first PT, I didn't understand the purple fire would be something I could pass through with the mark. So, I figured it must be a puzzle. And that if I use Fadestep, I can't most of the time get past it without too much death. Anyway, it's still a way to get to some of the stuff before you get your anchor buff. Some of the fire is bigger/longer though, so I got caught in a death loop on one this go round. And those revenants were too powerful, so I tried ot make a run for it. somehow still died even though I'd gone through the Eluvian and the continue screen froze.
