phoray Use Beeeees! on the Revenants. Fully upgraded, they drain health like crazy. I did upgrade my bees, my potions, and upgraded everyone's armor (so nice to just buy what I need.) The only thing I haven't given up on is my Center of the Tempest Staff. It's DPS is lame, but the glyphs! and all the perks from it's slots! Then I spec in Ice and Fire, and carry all three kinds of magic on top of my KE sword. Ah well. Everyoen else has hot weapons. I'll give them another shot now ^^. Just they had the skulls on them. I'm only level 17, even ground, Hard mode.

I forgot you were under-leveled (probably a good idea to skip JoH in that case too). So, they are min. level 20, right? Add in some Pitch Grenades - they will decrease the damage they do and increase the damage they take. Maybe try anti-demon runes also instead of elemental ones, and also Mighty Offense to do even more damage.

An update on the further progress of Katriel and the Inquisition: After clearing the Sahrnia Quarry of Red Templars, Katriel recovered letters from the Red Templar Samson and turned them over to Cullen. Samson with the help of Maddox, a tranquil, was creating an armor made of Red Lyrium for himself to help make him a suitable "vessel" for Corypheus. (It was unclear to either Katriel or Cullen what being a "vessel" meant.) i.imgur.com/tXyRQPL.pngHere's my Inquisitor, Katriel. Not quite up to Fylimar-ian standards, but decent given my meager artistic talents! Using the Inquisition's resources, they were able to locate Maddox and the laboratory where he had been upgrading Samson's armor. After defeating the Red Templars guarding the secret lab, they located Maddox who had poisoned himself so as not to betray Samson. Even without Maddox, Dagna the Arcanist was able to use Maddox's tools and other items recovered from the lab to fashion a rune that could destroy Samson's armor. Katriel is now looking forward to the showdown with Samson. Katriel also spoke with Iron Bull back at Skyhold. He told her that the Qun wanted to conduct a joint operation in the Storm Coast against the Venatori. He said the operation could be a precursor to an alliance with the Qun. Katriel agreed to go with Iron Bull and the Chargers to the Storm Coast to support the Qun's operation as soon as operations were complete in Emprise de Leon. After having Judical's crossing repaired, Katriel and her team crossed the bridge and defeated the remaining Red Templars in the area. They then proceeded to clear the area of dragons. There were a total of three of the monsters, each holed up in an old stadium. The first two they fought were Ice dragons. The third dragon - the most powerful one - was a Highland Ravager, a fire dragon. (Level 23) After equipping her team with the appropriate armor and weapons, all three dragons were defeated rather easily. Katriel then joined Iron Bull and the Chargers at the Storm Coast. They rendezvoused with an Qunari agent, an elven convert nicknamed Gatt. The Qunari were sending a dreadnaught to attack a Venatori smuggling ship filled with Red Lyrium in port. Bull's Chargers were tasked with holding a position overlooking the bay and the battle and denying this area to Venatori mages who could use it to bombard and destroy the dreadnaught. Unexpectedly, a large force of Venatori warriors and mages showed up and began making their way to the hill occupied by the Chargers. The Inquisitor had to choose between having the Chargers retreat or having them hold their position long enough for the dreadnaught to destroy the Venatori smuggling ship. Sadly, Katriel chose the latter option and all of the Chargers were killed. The dreadnaught, however, was able to destroy the smuggler and move out to sea before the Venatori could get into position to threaten the ship. Gamer note: Katriel will next move on the Arbor Wilds. I have also opened up Descent and JOH DLCs and will complete those before the grand finale against Corypheus. My elf mage PC is romancing Solas and I wanted to see what special dialogues/banter pop up concerning Solas in those two DLCs. So far, no problems with Descent but problems did occur when Katriel entered the Frostback Basin. Surprising since I had no problems in JOH during last PT. Despite all trials I have on, Katriel is currently Level 21. She will be greatly overpowered by the time she reaches Cory.

Finished Trespasser with Ghi'ral Lavellan. He is the first Dalish elf I've seen to the end of any game. I had remembered it as a 20 hour DLC, but it's nowhere close. Ended Base game at 63 hours, ended Trespasser 73 hours plus the ending cinematics-- @domi
- Disbanded: thumbs up. Although annoyed with the representatives, he discussed with Gisselle right off the bat that he remembered her tale of the first Inquisition. The fact that Cass was the one who made that grand speech when the Inquisition began and that he dated her? Yeah. It was an honor, he was calm and resolute, appropriate. His lover, Cassandra, served on the Exalted Council and worked well with Leliana- erm, Divine Victoria. We were very happy together as I did my thing, and she rebuilt the Seekers. Madame de Fer, damn her, did her usual competition against the College of Enchanters. Sometimes I hate her, speicifcally for this reason. She just had to screw a relatively happy ending up. Lel reshaped Chantry with niceness-- and returned the Canticle of Shartan! <- Wow! Despite attempts on her life, she stuck to her guns, and didn't kill anyone. Much, I'm sure. Sera stayed a Red Jenny alone. Ghi'ral was happy to be a supportive friend, though. Apparently she learned a lot from her time in the Inquisition and became more effective. To me, that says she's better alone? She still helped retired Inky when needed. Dating Dagna, her Widdle. Supports the Divine. I'm sure Viv is the only one she wouldn't support. Varric and Hawke doing vidsunt stuff. LOL He ignored Sebastian. That was an excellent addition. Chargers went back to work because Iron Bull was NOT dead. So there. Cullen retired with his mabari. I'm sure he visited Mia at least once. On land granted by the Divine, he started a sanctuary for templars with addiction and provided end of life support. His blade would be ready, if Inky needed it. Dorian became a magister. Being awesome and beautiful. Message Crystal exhanged, we'll stay Good friends. Thom went to Weisshaupt to pledge himself to the Wardens for good. Always helped others as he did his duty for them. Jose went back to her family in Antiva. Permitted to trade in Orlais, they flourished. Cole found a new way to be human with Maryden. I like Cole Human, but wish he didn't end up with Maryden. Elves disappeared into the forest in great numbers. And then there was stabbing a dagger into the map of Tevinter while we declared, "we will save our friend from himself- if we can." TLDR: Disbanded, Thumbs up. Redeemed Solas. Romanced Cassandra. Really cool to end the game with a Dalish due to the improvements of Wycome (Elven Council with Viscount Varric to back them) and the Canticle of Shartan being added back to the Chant. This means a Dalish Origin with Divine Lel and Briala involved in Orlais gets the best possible world state for elves. I was disappointed and significantly surprised to see that Cass didn't get a romance scene in Trespasser. Was she that unpopular a romance option? I kind of felt like Iw as cheating on her by going out with Jose by going to the Opera without her.
Gaming Plans: Finish my Dwarf Commoner Leliana Romance in Origins on my PS3 before driving to California with only my computer in tow. Romances still left to try: Morrigan and Leliana. Merril and Isabella Dorian, Sera, Josephine, Solas (properly). Never romancing the Bull, although my Thom Wall romancer rode him. Good enough. So, 8 more PTs just to get all the yummy romance content that has been witheld from me. rawr. And somewhere in the beginning of the year, all the episodes of The Walking Dead Season 3 will come out and I'll play that 2-3 times. They aren't good at branchng narrative, but the relationships are at least present and I got a thing for zombies due to the fact that I dream about them all the time. To the point that I even had a Zombie meets Dragon Age Dream last week, I think.

I was disappointed and significantly surprised to see that Cass didn't get a romance scene in Trespasser. Was she that unpopular a romance option? The only LIs that have extra scenes are Cullen, Sera and Blackwall. The others just have a few dialogue changes here and there. Don't know why they didn't do them for the other four options that are with you at the Council; it might have just boiled down to time and budget limitations. I don't think popularity was a factor - Blackwall is one of the least popular options, as far as I can tell.

Solas trying to shout out what he is...in the middle of a battle. I didn't maneuver him there, neither did I pose him on the RM's speaker stage in a previous image. After the cutscene of the first dragon attack on the trebuchet, the Inq was dropped there. The next second, I was watching Solas run in and jumped on top of the box. He does that again and I'll shoot out the box from under him. Drop him back to earth, so to speak.

Still testing out the game on my new 4k set up. Made it to Haven with it running pretty well. Though I do have a question for those that may know. Is fade touched textures actually higher quality then ultra or just lets more load in at once? Google results seem to have mixed answers. Also got this nice little light hearted shot of my dalish mage that I'm aiming to make my main Inquisitor some time before the next game arrives. It's fun playing the game again with some of the newer mods that have released since I last played

I always wanted to try it though, for Bulls surprise in Trespasser, but I never can bring myself to that For Katriel, I was, of course, using sliders: www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/1347/?She came out okay, but not nearly as good as what the author, sehris, produced. Killing the Chargers was painful. You could see that Iron Bull was nervous during the whole episode. And making the decision does feel like you're betraying Bull though he seems to harbor no hard feelings at Skyhold. In my last PT as an elf, I saved the Chargers. This time, I wanted to see the impact of sacrificing the Chargers in Trespasser. That would be a really sad game for me. I always wanted to try it though, for Bulls surprise in Trespasser, but I never can bring myself to that
Something you should do late game, I suppose. I did this just before the Arbor Wilds. Perhaps I could've waited a bit longer; I want to complete Descent and JOH before going after Cory.

I don't get why the Fereldan Monarch couldn't have shown up for the Exalted Council. May make sense for Alistair, barely, doesn't make sense for Anora. In the same vein, Empress Celene is there... but doesn't show. Cavorts about with Briala. Glad to hear their relattionship is going well, but this screams Voice Acting Budget to me.Also, I am so super fond of Sera. I knew she got softer on elf issues in Trespasser...but then she asked how I was doing with all my elven beliefs falling round my ears. Why doesn't the LI do that?! Speaking of LIs...where is my extra romantic scene with Cass? Blackwall shows up in your room, Cullen marries you... Hello Cass? Not even a kiss? Speaking of companions that are softer in Trespasser... I really like Warden Rainier. He likes Cole. He likes Sera. And he has interesting things to say about the Warden Order when he's in it. Trespasser was their last planned DLC. But there are two very interesting Weishaupt mentions. Wonder if it's an intended DLC of DA4....or even maybe a pre quel to DA4. Hmmmm. I keep causing glitches that make me turn off the game, and I'm mod free :/ So, my first PT, I didn't understand the purple fire would be something I could pass through with the mark. So, I figured it must be a puzzle. And that if I use Fadestep, I can't most of the time get past it without too much death. Anyway, it's still a way to get to some of the stuff before you get your anchor buff. Some of the fire is bigger/longer though, so I got caught in a death loop on one this go round. And those revenants were too powerful, so I tried ot make a run for it. somehow still died even though I'd gone through the Eluvian and the continue screen froze. My thoughts exactly! You set up shop at Halamshiral and Celene doesn't make even a cameo appearance? Also, for a DLC focusing on eluvians, you would think Briala or Morrigan or both would stop by to advise the Inquisitor. (I must admit, after reading TME, I imagined the crossroads to be more like a series of tunnels...almost Deep Roads like. They changed it even from what was shown by Morrigan.) It seems strange, though, that they would shortchange the Cass romance given that the voice actress is used throughout Trespasser. Did they take it for granted that everyone would make her Divine? So you did the whole thing in 73 hours? Did you skip JOH and Descent? (I cringe to think how many hours I've put into my current PT...)

(I have an Alienware desktop purchased in 2015. Very solid for the time, but not 4K.) Very pretty Inquisitor! Where did you get the dress? I've begun to appreciate mods for Inquisition of late. DAI is not nearly as customizable as DAO, but things are improving. Beware that you may have to deactivate some of the mods when you use the DLC, Trespasser in particular. Though lately, I have problems even with JOH.

That is an act I will never do to IB who is clearly wavering between breaking for freedom or obeying like an indoctrinated drone. I will never shove him back into the role of a drone. The Qunari can go f*** themselves behind their stonewalls they no doubt will barricade themselves in once the Veil is gone; I want Solas to do it. Enough of the half truths, misinterpretations, posturing, political maneuverings, pride, fear, judgemental executions. Time for everyone to face what was and what will be. I'd like Act IV akin to ME3 without the stupidity of that series ending. World chaos, utter destruction. How will the people of Thedas survive it? What will it do to them? How will it affect their faith in their gods? But I doubt it'll go that way.

I just don't like DA that much, but it is not so bad that I can just walk away & don't look back. It is not my game, even though it is a good game overall. There are really no need to come up with reasons other than that. I want to see my Renegade through in ME3, and play a Vanguard romancing Garrus way more than Inquisition. Still want to try DA2, but Inquisition, just no. Maybe I can play my Renegade after I finish Awakening and then see. I also really, really, really miss ME3MP. I end up being torn between regretting trying DA, and satisfied that I've tried it. All and all, I think it will be for the best probably to go back to ME as soon as I can without experiencing regrets and the pull of the unfinished story. In the end I did not really get the same bug that impacts people who rave about da and go on and on about its characters, and I feel a bit sad I did not, but I can't force myself to care, and I put a good amount of time into it. Warden switches to Hawks anyways.... good time to leave before that?

Through Hawke, you see that a great war with the Qunari may very well be likely. But then you have to RP your Inquisitor based on their origins. For a human Inquisitor from the Free Marches, you might be inclined to save the Chargers. But then again, such an Inquisitor might not have agreed to the idea of an alliance or might not have recruited IB in the first place out of suspicion of all things Qunari. Elves and dwarves are free to go either way. I guess it depends on whether you prioritize the needs of your friends or the needs of the Inquisition as a political force. As to the question of the Veil, Solas may have been wrong to create it but it would also be wrong to tear it down now given the incredible loss of life that would follow. (I really would like to see a more elaborate depiction of the pre-Veil world to truly understand what was going on in Solas' head when he created the Veil. Perhaps an idea for a pre-quell DLC?)

@domi
And see, I tried ME1 and quit after freeing the Arachni Queen. I realized I didn't care about the outcome of that decision either way and stopped. I'd even bought the trilogy pack, expecting I'd be sucked into space awesome. I like Star Trek, I like Dragon Age. Thought it was a sure thing. I do intend to try playing ME3 to see if the end of the series grabs me better than the start though. To each their own. It was nice hearing your thoughts over here on the DA side of the forum.

I love ME2 more than ME3, because of the short-story format of the companion stories and, yeah, Thane, but overall, I don't see these games as separate.

I was contemplating the sacrifice of the chargers the first time. I had that agonising debate with the game on hold for a rather long time but then made up my mind for screwing the Qun. Since then I have all the arguments re4asdy and every new Inquisitor sees the value of the Chargers and doubts the sincerityof the Qun. Who kmows, I might do it in the future.
On another note I just put a queeen on Skelliges throne.

I don't get why the Fereldan Monarch couldn't have shown up for the Exalted Council. May make sense for Alistair, barely, doesn't make sense for Anora. In the same vein, Empress Celene is there... but doesn't show. Cavorts about with Briala. Glad to hear their relattionship is going well, but this screams Voice Acting Budget to me.Speaking of LIs...where is my extra romantic scene with Cass? Blackwall shows up in your room, Cullen marries you... Hello Cass? Not even a kiss? (I cringe to think how many hours I've put into my current PT...) Especially after "shit" started happening! Why would the Orlesian Monarch who is cited as actually being physically at the Winter Palace not come out when the news of her and her Briala being blown up by Qunari was a possibility? Nah, I'm a bit tired of Morrigan (I say, while also recognizing that I love the Morrigan/Kieran character development). Morrigan should have been Merril. And I'm not too attached to Eluvian Network Descriptions. We're talking about a half Fade world of magical mirrors that take you all over the world and possibly to other deeper parts of the Fade. That their shape is in flux as they fall apart seems a given. I heard from another poster up stream that only Thom Wall, Cullen, and Sera get a special romance scene in Trespasser, separate from the other scenes that all Inky's get. Strange pick for Thom Wall. And then I avoided making Cass Divine because I heard there was a break up if she became Divine. Watched it on Youtube. It was weird. They didn' tbreak up, but a possible break up was mentioned in the marriage discussion. The point was dropped and never brought up again. Still, it does paint the possibility that perhaps Cassandra has been thinking about it due to her more traditional views of the Divine Role. Unless the break up was officilized in an epilogue slide (would be an awful way to hear about your break up.) But I doubt it. I did skip JOH and Descent. I wanted to experience the Cass mance, but Ghi'ral was a 40 year old widower Bachelor guy who was just kinda nice. The cass mance was okay, he was okay...okay isn't enough to make me want to hang out with you for two extra DLCs. I was playing kinda lazy for RP, just trying out a lot of dialogue options I'd been afraid to try. Because I walways think of the bottom right as the Aggressive option based on DA2. Turns out it's not usually aggressive, but I'd been avoiding it for that reason. And then I'd been thinking my Solasmancer I have planned might actually say she wanted to help Solas blow the world up, so even though it was totally out of character for him, I had him say it too just so I could hear the delivery of such a contreversial line with no reloads cuz, whatever, in my head he didn't actually say that line. Added benefit of keeping the DLCs shiny for replay in the future, as I've only done JoH and Descent once. My semi completionist (even did a lot of shards) play through was like... I dunno. 150 or something. I loved and still love my Mara, she's my screen saver. She was flawed and dramatic and young and childish and snotty and whiney. She came into DAI as an anti noble noble who ended up embracing her heritage. She was like, a human Sera who ended up looking up to Cassandra, and mellowing out some into a Jose between the two comapnion pulls. When she said that she'd made Skyhold "hers" she meant it. And she was so intensely a fan of the Grey Wardens that she got pulled to the older Grey Warden turned liar. But she believed in second chances so much...she stayed with him. And even though she was older, wiser, and trying to be all grown up...She said, "Call me a friggin Red Jenny!" Can you tell I loved her? Cuz I loved her. Totally different feeling from Ghi'ral.

Merrill? I hadn't thought about her but she would've been good for a cameo too! She wanted so badly to restore the eluvian from DAO, she should've been given a chance to play around with them. And having her briefly reunite with Varric would've been nice as well.
It sounds like you got what you wanted out of this PT. What will you do now? Another DAI? Or back to DAO?

And having her briefly reunite with Varric would've been nice as well. It sounds like you got what you wanted out of this PT. What will you do now? Another DAI? Or back to DAO? Oh gosh! That reminds me of Varric's comment in Trespasser. "Ancient elves kept slaves? That's one bit Daisy won't like." or "I'm not going to tell Daisy that." I wonder if Varric only made it in DAI to help keep continuity from DA2. He is esentially the only lifeline to that game, it's otherwise very indirectly mentioned otherwise except for the whole Hawke fiasco. I have noticed that I do better on a rotation. I don't want to play any of the games twice in a row. So, Origins->DA2->DAI so I don't forget who's King/Queen is best for me. My signature has my PT plans. I also have this thing that, if I really like a character, I usually tend to write mini fanfiction about them in this Thread. Naderra Brosca is one of those characters. So, instead of Ghi'ral, who got an occasional picture upload and a "he did this" update... Naderra and my other planned "official world" PT characters will get the full story narrative writing. I'll write her "thoughts" about the quests and write a couple romance scenes, to really get in teh head space of being in love with Leliana. Leliana, the woman I personally find creepy and kinda crazy. But Naderra, aw, I love the story arch I've thought of for them. So yeah. I started Naderra Brosca, she's in the Brecillian Forest last time I checked. And I'm planning to finish her in two weeks before going to California for work, because she's on PS3, and I only bring PCs long distances. Her introduction and picture is here on the Show Your Warden Thread: link but I will also collect my previous writings from this thread using the very useful search bar. ^^

I went back into the main story and played Here Lies the Abyss. To be honest, I sped through this quest with Alex, Blackwall, Varric and Dorian without getting the Essence of Perfection masterwork. Also, the nightmare demon was beaten in under two minutes. Every time the demon was about to mock a companion, it was interrupted by Varric's exploding mines! Hawke stayed behind to allow the lady Inquisitor and Alistair escape from the fade. Sorry Varric and Bethany, Alex had to keep a promise made to the Hero of Ferelden. Even though the Hero was on a mission to find a cure for the calling, she hoped to reunite with her beloved Alistair when she returned. As for the surviving Wardens' fate, Alex allowed them to join the Inquisition's fight against Corypheus. Before departing for Weisshaupt, Alistair mentioned about Morrigan. "Morrigan... Tell Morrigan, I stood there looking like a fool," he said with a lopsided grin. I watched that cutscene thinking, 'What about Leliana, you bumpkin?! You didn't say goodbye to her!' In Skyhold, three judgements were handed out. First, Tevinter Magister Diva Erimond was beheaded by Alex. Then Senior Warden, Ser Ruth, got sentenced to hard labour and public humiliation. Lastly, Mistress Poulin was ordered to rebuild Sahrnia from her own pocket. Up next, Alex will be exploring Dwarven tombs in the HIssing Wastes. Plus more dragon fights.

I created Qunari mage (because I found out mages are really op). Cried I didn't have that beautiful long hair from starting card or race. Closed gamed noticing I'm not able to break Bulls/Dorians realtionship. RIP qunari.
Back to elf. /o/

Loaded up an old elf save because I was looking at her screenshots. Mucked around in the Hinterlands a bit while browsing the forum with one eyes. Read the most played race list and realized I had a surplus of elves. Felt guilty so I created a dwarf. Today the creator insisted that dwarven males were a bunch of pretty boys. I fought it for a while, then ended up embracing it and made a real pretty one. Always with a huge pretty smile on his face. He got through the prologue and started some missions in the Hinterlands. The first character in a while that did not need to retreat and heal up when dealing with the Crossroads. No such luck with the Templar encampment, but he still did decently. No plans for him, since he was just a bit of fun. But since he is such a heart worm, he might make it a bit further in the game. One of his pretty smiles in the spoiler. Isn't he just the sweetest thing?
