In DAO, the gamer comes away with concerns about the Qunari even if you liked Sten. Through Hawke, you see that a great war with the Qunari may very well be likely. But then you have to RP your Inquisitor based on their origins. For a human Inquisitor from the Free Marches, you might be inclined to save the Chargers. But then again, such an Inquisitor might not have agreed to the idea of an alliance or might not have recruited IB in the first place out of suspicion of all things Qunari. Elves and dwarves are free to go either way. I guess it depends on whether you prioritize the needs of your friends or the needs of the Inquisition as a political force. As to the question of the Veil, Solas may have been wrong to create it but it would also be wrong to tear it down now given the incredible loss of life that would follow. (I really would like to see a more elaborate depiction of the pre-Veil world to truly understand what was going on in Solas' head when he created the Veil. Perhaps an idea for a pre-quell DLC?) I'm bad at RP but unless the Inq was a hermit from birth until the Conclave, it's impossible not to hear anything about the Qunari. I doubt any of the stories were good and the facts straight from IB is just going to beat it in that the Qunari are only trustworthy as long as the results comply with the Qun and their plans of conquest. Solas made a mistake /miscalculated in creating the Veil, that is true. The consequences of that mistake continue to grow over the ages, affecting not just the elves but everyone who moved into Southern Thedas after the realm that had been suddenly disappeared. The events and upheavals that happened after could be consequential but it cannot be ruled out that an outside influence might be at work; the Eluvanris. Solas said he exiled them, he didn't have the power to kill them, but could they not find ways to reach back / through and foment plans to return? Is it not possible that the worst trouble in Thedas might have been *them? If they are the source, then sooner or later, someone will have to discover this and confront them; either allowing them to return or finding a way to travel to their place of exile. * Flemeth / Mythal spoke of a song, as long as it plays, everyone dances to it. She spoke of Change. The Inq is the Herald of Change, she brings the beginning, I don't think we have seen the middle of it yet. The world of the Eluvanari. Beautiful and also deadly once the Eluvanari became arrogant and power hungry. Floating cities and other beauties aside, there were also other horrors. I remember Solas spoke of the thousands of deaths, the blood that filled a lake because one of the Eluvanari became greedy. He spoke of Mythal as a protector of the People, pointing out that the hunger of the Eluvanari grew so avaricious that they finally murdered her to remove that protection. Would such people stay tamely in exile? **** I got it easier this time for the march to Skyhold. Just one white screen event. It would have gone smoothly if I remove certain mods just before the battle but I was testing out a new list. In any case, I know what to temporarily remove in future PTs. I think I know what to avoid for Trespasser for this round. The last was definitely very glitchy. Very notable is that despite having disbanded the Inquisition, the Inq turned up in the formal uniform for the epilogue. I thought she would wear the prologue armor.

I created Qunari mage (because I found out mages are really op). Cried I didn't have that beautiful long hair from starting card or race. Closed gamed noticing I'm not able to break Bulls/Dorians realtionship. RIP qunari. Back to elf. /o/ Break their relationship? I couldn't even get it to start even after 120+ hours. People say Bull+Dorian+Cole, but I got it on Hissing Wastes (really, I found out about it just before Abyssal and Wicked Eyes) and it was my only left location to explore. The problem is, the party banter is broken and there are ways to get it with Cheat Engine I assume? Or somehow, no idea how. Usually for me it was restarting whole PC. And what they say having checked all quests as read and having something to do around (active quests to do) is what triggers it. But to be honest, I don't know how it works >< https://www.reddit.com/r/dragonage/comments/2qkahi/any_insight_to_trigger_dorian_and_iron_bull/ ^page that helped me. Also, that is the talk that makes it clear they are together: Iron Bull: So, Dorian, about last night... Dorian: (Sighs.) Discretion isn't your thing, is it? Iron Bull: Three times! Also, do you want your silky underthings back, or did you leave those like a token? Iron Bull: Or... wait, did you "forget" them so you'd have an excuse to come back? You sly dog! Dorian: If you choose to leave your door unlocked like a savage, I may or may not come. Iron Bull: Speak for yourself. dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Dorian_Pavus/Dialogueand you can't romance either of them (as getting deep to ears, flirt is ok)

I love ME2 more than ME3, because of the short-story format of the companion stories and, yeah, Thane, but overall, I don't see these games as separate. Mass Effect does play much more as a series, though I slightly prefer the first over the other two, it feels like the same game. The 3 games of the Dragonage series are all aimed at a different sector of the market. It is part of the reason DA2 copped so much flack from people who wanted DAO 2, and the reason I never played it for a long time. Though from what you have posted, I'd wouldn't be surprised if you like DA 2 more. I've been installing stuff in a new computer the last couple of days, so no time to play. But each time I install a game and fire it up and install the mods, it makes me want to go back and play that game. I just have to re-download ME3 and I'll have all the usual suspects installed and modded, and can get back to playing. My dog was a godsend in the assembly process of the new computer, he handled all the licking, sitting on parts, and the chewing of the packaging.

O figure it only happens if the romance flag of the Inky is with neither of them. Even so, I'd shrug my shoulders at their fling and get with either of them f I wanted to. It's not a confirmed romantic relationship till after Cory. Before then it just seems to be sex.

My Inquisitor finally got together with Cassandra officially!
I've been avoiding spoilers for these scenes for more than two years, so it was lovely to finally learn about The Most Romantic Candle in Thedas and actually hear the poetry. I found the consummation scene is sweet, sexy, funny and moving - one of my favourite BioWare romance scenes, actually. Although I wish there had been a dialogue option for my Inquisitor to say 'oh, you have definitely been lead astray by an elven madman.'
I also wish the Inquisitor got to respond to her comment about Regalyan, if not during that scene, then in other dialogue. I guess I will just be headcanoning that conversation. (I suppose this is also when Carathir springs the backstory about his dead wife on her ...)
Now I just need to get Dorian and Bull to fuck and Team Belligerent Sexual Tension will officially be Team Slightly Less Belligerent Sex.

I quickly finished the Hissing Wastes with Alex. Varric was in the party with Cass and Dorian, and he had some interesting insight about the Tomb of Fairel.
The Sandy Howler dragon fight was easy, because again, Varric's Artificer skills were beastly. I guess after Hawke's passing, Varric got more involved in the lady Inquisitor's missions outside of Skyhold.
Then the truth about Blackwall was revealed. Alex was angry at first. But when she learned the whole story, she decided to send Thom Rainer to the Wardens. In a way, it was a chance for him to atone for his crimes and become an actual Warden.
So, one more dragon fight in Emprise du Lion. The Highland Ravager. Alex and her team slayed the other two dragons after routing out the Red Templars in the area earlier.
After that, the lady Inquisitor will lead her troops and allies into the Arbor Wilds.

Yes. The candle is one of the items you need to procure for the romantic evening.

Yep, actually free. As are the other things, if I recall, though the poetry book takes a bit more time to locate. And there might be bears along the way.

I wrapped up Descent and finally got a few dwarf-specific lines for Cadash to say. I also discovered that Mark of the Rift + Haste + Firestorm = Death to the Guardian in just a minute or two and with minimal damage to the party. And I had SO much trouble with it my first time through Descent. I do love Descent. It might be my favorite DLC for this game I hope DA4 will give us more about the Titans.

This is awesome. So, Dragon age origins is now available on Xbox One. I can't believe it happened. Just a few days ago I was talking about DAO in the dragon age confession thread, and this little discussion reminded me how much I loved this game and how it was too bad for me not to be able to play that game again. And Boom. Magic. DAO suddenly available. I'm gonna play my canon warden again since it's my favourite story obviously. Joruth Cousland. Finished to create him as I described him with a few lines. Daddy Cousland : " Let me introduce you my son, Joruth. " Also, the two brothers, - since we are it -, with probably a very different fate, a different future, and not necessarily as expected. The oldest, Fergus, total brunette, took the color hair of his father. But Joruth is blonde like his mother in her youth. The brothers have also very different personalities. The big brother is charming and popular, has a lot of humor. With his big voice and his big laugh, you always know when he is there et often where exactly whether in the castle or outside. Very nice and brave, Fergus is admired and loved by all and especially the soldiers under his orders, the Couslands always forgiving his incorrigible behavior and tongue when he is not serious. Which happens quite often. While Joruth who however inspires a lot of respect, always giving precise an strict orders, his eyes noticing everything everwhere was rather discreet, like a a shadow. More mysterious in the eyes of most, better known for being a lone wolf in his youth, for his discipline and his almost too perfect obedience toward his parents, for being studious, for being applied and his implacable ferocity during his training with a Sword and a shield. He has nothing in common with his brother, Fergus compared to the brightness of the day and he to the darkness of the night. An austere and almost sad look coupled with a distant behavior, intense eyes, everything always seeming to darken around him ? Yep, that's Joruth : However in spite of his appearance not very enthusiastic, he hides a fire and a strong passion, behind his stolidity, a sharp personality. His relative and strict passivity, his obedience are misleading. But only those who are close to him are aware of that. There are people who reveal who they really are and what they are capable of in times of Peace. But there are others, unnoticed in times of peace.. who rather shine in chaotic times. And that's what will happen with our future warden.
Now, time for me to sleep. Didn't play much. I'm really hoping I will have time to finish my playtrhough. =)

You have to steal a poetry book from a BEAR! Wow, that is true love. Here is how the search played out for Marcus..... (spoiler for length and in case anyone doesn't want to know all the details)
So Cass wants the ideal romance, eh? Marcus was determined to deliver just that, and more. While Cullen and the others prepared to assault Adamant, Marcus decided to go shopping. First, he checked in with Bonny Sims to see if she could help him out. She didn't have what he was looking for, but was able to direct him to some merchants in Val Royeaux who would. First up, flowers. Not only did they have to be ideal, they had to survive the trip back to Skyhold. The shop owner said she had just the thing and, for the Herald of Andraste, the delivery wouldn't even cost any extra.
So, flowers. Check.
Next up, candles. Skyhold had tons of candles everywhere but they were just too blah. Marcus needed something much better than just to see by. A merchant round the corner and up the stairs from the florist had just what he needed:
Wait...only one?! He needed way more than just one candle, even if it was "The Most Romantic Candle in Thedas." Luckily, that one was just the display model so Marcus was able to buy two whole cases of the things and lug them back to Skyhold. So, candles. Check.
Last thing he needed was some poetry. The library at Skyhold was filled with books, but most of them were boring old histories of people he didn't care about. Not even the cobweb-filled basement library was any help. Most of the stuff down there was just arcane gibberish that made little sense to him, and that was if it was in a language he could understand. He was starting to get desperate, until he remembered that sky-fearing dwarf back in Redcliffe. He had some books to sell. Maybe one of them was a book of poetry? So, off he went in a rush before Cullen could tell him how the assault prep was coming. But when he got there, all he got was bad news: all the bookseller's stock was missing or stolen or lost or...just gone.
This was terrible news, especially since the dwarf said he DID have a book of poetry in his collection. But, ever hopeful, Marcus was determined to find it. Once he discovered the merchant's path to Redcliffe, he decided to call in some backup. He might be looking for just a simple book, but the dwarf's cart appeared to have been lost smack in the middle of bear country. How embarrassing it would be to have to fight a bear for a book....and lose.
Finally! Book of poetry, check.
It was time to sweep Cass off her feet

You have to steal a poetry book from a BEAR! Wow, that is true love. In my Cassandra-mancing world state, Dorian is still going to be complaining about the time they went to find a book of poetry and he got mauled by a bear when everyone is old and grey. He probably fires up the message crystal just to say 'hey, remember the time you wanted to get into Cassandra's armored panties and dragged us all into the wilderness WHERE I ALMOST GOT EATEN???' (I did not have anyone but Cassandra specced as a tank, and obviously I did not want to take her and ruin the surprise.)

Thanks. The mod for the outfit is here: www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/1550/?
And ya I saw alot of mods don't like the start of the descent and various mods are real touchy with Trespasser. Prob won't get around to messing with that for a while, lots of backlog games I'm trying to all do at the same time..

Now, time for me to sleep. Didn't play much. I'm really hoping I will have time to finish my playtrhough. =) Interesting that they would make an older game available for one of the newer consoles. I guess that's a testament to its popularity. Did they upgrade the graphics of the game in any way?

Riya did help SOlas to free his friend from some mages. who summoned her against her will. Turned out, she couldn't get saved and Solas went on a killing spree - well, I guess, anger management is not his strong point.
After that, we chased that stupid golden Halla through the entire map and it get's attacked by everything (we must have killed all the wolves, demons and enemy knights on this map twice). It is still running around, I'll give it a try again this evening. I don't know, why I had so much problems with it, I never had them before. It always went straight for the Dalish camp, now it is running everywhere, except the Dalish camp

It always went straight for the Dalish camp, now it is running everywhere, except the Dalish camp Pretend you're walking a skittish horse on a long rein. You just want to give it enough flexibility to turn but not so much it runs circles around you. You can also imagine an arc / half circle corral in front of you as you herd. Keep your distance, watch the icon on the radar. The minute it starts to turn in any other direction other than the intended, head it off with several running paces along the imaginary arc but not so much you leave an open path that it turns around completely and runs past you. Once it turns back to the direction you want, stop, watch and move cautiously forward. My only problem with this mission are wolves. I generally look for them, clear them out if there're any and quickly herd the halla before more spawn in.

I generally look for them, clear them out if there're any and quickly herd the halla before more spawn in. The golden halla is one of the most cringe-worthy quests of the entire game! It makes you want to go choke a Dalish elf (even if your PC is a Dalish elf)! "We're out of supplies, can you help us?" - That makes sense. "My foolish younger brother has gone into a demon-infested war zone! Help!" Teenagers aren't particularly bright; this too makes sense. "Can you help us find the Golden Halla? She's so special!" !@#$%&! On one of my earlier PTs, my human Inky thought she was being clever when she brought Sera and Solas to the Exalted Plains on the "winning the favor of the Dalish" quests. (She didn't realize that the one thing Solas and Sera agree on is that the Dalish are lame!) On that PT, we found the Golden Halla being attacked by a pack of wolves. I sent my team in to kill the wolves...and they kill the Golden Halla instead! Looking back, I have to wonder if Solas and Sera did it on purpose?!

Iron Bull: Speak for yourself. dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Dorian_Pavus/Dialogueand you can't romance either of them (as getting deep to ears, flirt is ok) So you're saying you can't romance either of them anymore if this banter happens? O figure it only happens if the romance flag of the Inky is with neither of them. Even so, I'd shrug my shoulders at their fling and get with either of them f I wanted to. It's not a confirmed romantic relationship till after Cory. Before then it just seems to be sex. Actually... no. After their talk that I posted you can go to talk with them in Skyhold and there is special option with either of them "So you and Dorian/Bull?". And their conversations changes as well.

hallaLike I said. I tried to get them together. I really tried. They were always in my team. I read all my codexs and closed literally all the rifts with these two. I avoided camp. I spent hours and hours and hours. It never happened for me. I'm not sure where you are in the story, but I'd imagine half way? I just can't imagine the game designers would take two romances away "accidentally." If you were to have flirted with either one of the m seriously up to this point, then I don't think the banter get together can even happen. Are you saying you WERE seriously flirting with one and game took two romance options out from under you?

I think we can be sure, they did that on purpose I would add the keepers request to kill the demons on the Dalis h burial grounds to the reasonable quests. He is an older guy and his hunters are busy fending off hostile Orlesians and walking deads Obsidian Gryphonthanks for the tips. I'll try that. I would let the Halla be a Halla, but somehow herding her back to the clan and to her other brothersand sisters gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling. I guess, I'm really a hopeless treehugger, even as a dwarf
