I'm exploding some lovely Qunari mines, and for the first time, I noticed a creepy voice going, "you are blind, Inquisitor! You are bliiiiind!"
My favorite is [creepy voice] "Are you afraid of the dark, Inquisitor?" followed by lighting up the entire mine with the mark. I imagine all my Inky's rattling off everything they've achieved thus far, having fought demons, darkspawn, dragons, ancient magisters, and a living rock thing, not to mention walking (well, falling) into and out of the Fade TWICE. So, no you idiot, I'm not afraid of the dark, and I'm certainly not afraid of you.

fylimar All your Inquisitors are cute, but Rija is your masterpiece! I like the long-ish hair which still lets her look elfy! And the dress looks great on her! (But what exactly is "Steampunk"? ) Thank you. Steampunk hasbecome very popular lately. IT's basically about how people in the 19th century imagine science fiction and new technical developements (powered by steam of course). There some writers liek Jules Verne or H.G. Wells, who put that into stories. Today, people like to dress in a mixture of victorian clothing with technical gadges. It's important to make most of it yourself and it's always a work in progress. My first steampunk costume still gets altered from time to time (and I'm planning the next already) Some very talented people even build workingvehicles. Here is a link I found, that gives some examples and links: www.ministryofpeculiaroccurrences.com/what-is-steampunk/And there is a lot of great literature. One of the best known from modern times is probably Alan Moores graphic novel 'League of the extraordinary gentlemen'. One of my faforites is George Manns Newbury and Hobbes mysteries ( www.goodreads.com/series/51673-newbury-and-hobbes) . There are movies about the subject too, for example Vidocq, The Prestige or the tv show Penny Dreadful or some episodes from Doctor Who (hell, the Tardis even looks like a steampunk ship from the inside). And last but not least there are a lot of music bands, who focus on the steampunk theme. The most known is probably Abney Park : I hope, I didn't overroll you with information, but as you can see, I'm passionate on the subject . Syv Thank you , but the elf with the armor and the mohawk is another character. In the first picis Riya, my mage, in the armor pic is Aylin, my rogue, but they look a bit similar on those pics Very interesting! You'll have to post pics of your Steampunk dress sometime! I imagine the old 1960s TV show, "Wild, Wild West", was Steampunk before there was Steampunk! (Think American James Bond in the year 1870...)

uh... Ghostbusters? I don't remember any outfit looking like that unless you're referring to the latest version of GB which I never watched. I saw the trailers and thought the whole premise looked stupid; wasn't referring to the female team btw although I thought they looked silly goofy. I can't even remember anything notable about the dwarves' clothing from DAO to DAI, except for some neat looking armor. I guess if they don't dream when they sleep, their imaginations are so, so. Let's see...Vestments of the Pure: And the original Ghostbusters: I think there are similarities! But reasonable minds may differ... Oh my. My first thought when I saw that mage armor was ugly!!! Ghostbusters never crossed my mind at all. Also, the comparison of the 18th century naval officer uniform akin to the Battlemaster armor, frankly I don't see the similarity at all since some officers of that time would wear an elaborate gorget that could be ridiculously elaborate and large to cover the chest. Most of the time, it's regular tunics / uniforms with facings. I think any military armors of that period would be worn by the Papal Swiss guard and cavalry of various armies. Now that you brought up the Ghostbusters, I dare say there is some resemblance. The legs and the colour. I put BW in the griffon armor and it looks good. I can't remember whether I tried to put the warrior Inq in it but I think it's restricted. In the end, the Battlemaster won hands down. On mage armor, they look different on companions but I can't say I like the versions for the Inq. I'm rather fussy; I don't like frills, flapping tails, rooster tails, clothes hooks, over large pauldrons.

Scott Westerfeld presented a different world and a different WWI in the Leviathan series: Leviathan, Behemoth and Goliath. It's young adult but I like it. Besides, it's a female protag. A plus. This series is just begging to be made into an anime. Bum rag!

DA:O - still unable to find. Starting to get annoyed and pissed. Thinking of going through all the stuff like a storm and in angryness throw some stuff away. DA2 - Hawke spends some time with Varric, Fenris and (usless always dying) brother near campfire. How they found wood in that underground prison, I have no idea (I think they might burned some of the wooden crates). Cory still gets his beauty sleep. Company argue if eating found rat will cause them Blight or not. (I didn't do anything there QQ) DA:I - oh boi. I went back with some saves to the moment of Well of Sorrows. Damn Seamus, on max lvl you are harder to kill. But then my female Lavellan was dumped by her first man and still with heart full of pain spend night sleepless. The talk with Solas that he will explain everything after Cory being defeated (beauty sleep didn't work out good for him) kept her in faith everything will be good between them. I mean, which kind of man breaks up with you after telling to each other you are in love? As reminder of that day, two years later, without an arm, Inquisitor sits on the tree looking at stars. She stopped crying year ago and now knowing the truth... She stayed stronger. And she started to sing. Heroes of Dragon Age - I needed to uninstall it. WHYYY they put update. Why. Why. Not enough space on phone. I cri. I really really cri.

^ Solas clearly desires / loves the Inq but he controls it because of his priorities; restoring the People is more important than their love. He's willing to sacrifice it. I applaud him for it but I also want to kick his ass. He can be confusing at times. I'm not sure how to interpret his words; he's amazed the Dalish could shape someone like the Inq, her spirit. What the sam hill are you implying, Solas? Elves are spirits? Shaped by whose thoughts? If elves were spirits, why did you talk about some ancient elf killing thousands, a lake filled with their blood, in his bid for more power? Kieran isn't helping either. "I don't know why your people want to look like that?" What?! Is it just a kiddy innocent observation or something ominous? *throws hands up* In the end, I decided that Solas was referring to souls = spirits. Kieran was wondering why elves have such ears.

Joruth in the countryside, having a nightmare while sleeping, and this is an example of what he is seeing again and again everyday in his dreams since he left quickly highever alone with Duncan.... Useless to show more, I think. But there are a lot like that in his mind terribly affected, agitated. Then these pictures evaporate to the benefit of others just as horrible. Other dreams haunt him in his restless sleep, the same ones who had been tormenting him for days and days since the betrayal and disaster of Highever. He was seeing his father, his mother, iona, Oren, Ser Gilmore again, and he was this time with them as he had done in reality, happy and carefree. But all together in the darkness side by side, stained with blood, with smoke, with great bravado, they were going to battle, convinced of their victory, victorious against the enemy. But as always the battle had turned in their disfavour, their group so eminent scattered, hunted down, persecuted. And one by one they had fallen, encircled by ghosts equipped with ghostly blades that lifted and dropped their blades on them, tirelessly ravaging their bodies, reducing them to small pieces. And Joruth always wakes up at this moment, terribly hurt first, crying and and then... feeling suddenly empty after.. His face stripped of the slightest emotion, his eyes devoid of the slightest spark of life every morning and every night. He can't forget what happened, he looks like a zombie, doesn't react anymore to anything. You could punch him in his face and he would be just looking at you with dead eyes. Everyone is dead, that's all what his mind is able to learn him, to tell him, to remind him. His body strangely react alone to every grey warden's orders, but his mind is elsewhere, abandoned. Duncan is really severe about his state. And more to be honest. The dark skinned Grey warden is even quite desesperate and really disappointed about his new recruit, while they both are traveling from the north of Ferelden to the south to reach Ostagar. He had seen worse in his life. It is little compared to the blight, its darkness and its consequences. He thought the son of Bryce Cousland was stronger, and better than that. How annoyed he is. He worries about the current weakness of the young man that is having a strong connection to his past, having the burden of a big name and having probably the terrible feeling that he must fight for justice in the name of his family, the only one able to reach that goal. What was none of his business and none of the business of the Grey warden. Worse, the young noble wasn't yet trustworthy. He rejeted several times his offer to become a grey warden, way too proud of being a Cousland, of being a noble and way too disdainful of what he considered legends of the past, - like most fereldans - which obviously meant nothing to him. Joruth lost the battle in Highever, Howe won, his parents, all his family were erased, his castle taken. No more future - in his opinion -, no more past. And the worst ? Becoming a grey warden. The young Cousland never asked for that and Duncan had to force him to accept such idea... << Flee, live, avenge us my son ! >> The last words of his parents. They haunted him. How could he become a warden, how could he decide to forget everything ? That's what he kept thinking about. Duncan wasn''t stupid or blind, perfectly aware that he has to talk to him, otherwise he wouldn't follow. And that's what he does one night before a fire while the young man seemed much more alive than the first week or just after that terrible night. __ << I'm sorry for your parents. They were estimable people whose value exceeded the measure. >> - << Yes. They did not deserve that, or any of those you did not mention. I see again the face of my father, as distressed as a damned, marked by guilt, who has never had anything to reproach himself and always willing to help others as best as he could. A lamentable end, unworthy of such a respectable man. He should have finished his days with a smile on his face, a quiet mind as to what he was leaving behind. A fate as brutal as incomprehensible as his. He did not die in peace, as did many others. And that despairs me and gnaws at me. >> - << Very few are the dead who deserved their fate. >> - << Howe will come to swell their ranks very soon. >> * Duncan frowns * - << As disastrous as that day was, I must remind you that this ignoble tragedy that you have experienced is but little against the threat of the blight. Nothing can divert our order from its struggle. All its members are committed to it, and that is also true for you. The essential task of a Grey Warden takes precedence over his thirst for vengeance. >> * An aggressive gleam in the eyes of Joruth, a face full of recrimination. * - << Who is responsible for this imbroglio ? I never aspired to become a Grey Warden ! You knew that ! At our first meeting, had I not opposed to you a clear refusal, notwithstanding the annoying insistence of your obstinate proposition? And nevertheless knowingly and not shrinking from anything, this burden that you have imposed on me by mutual agreement with my parents, who, cornered against the wall, were so desperate that you took advantage of them, to extract from them what you so ardently desired. Their son. To my detriment and against my will obviously, which you did not consider important enough to think about and raise as an issu. I had ambitions, I had plans ! >> * Duncan accepts his justified and legitimate criticism, it was true. But he doesn't feel bad however. The fate of the world was at stake. * - << It is true. But here you are now, you stand there, by my side, traveling to Ostagar, ready to join the Grey wardens in spite of the circumstances. This implies, I pledge, that once fully invested you will have to rely on the principles that govern our order. By will or by force. >> * Joruth does not seem to hear anything, suddenly agitated, his eyes falling on the fire, grimacing with anger, his hands clinging almost fiercely to the fur of his Mabari across his knees who didn't complain. * - << I am the only survivor of a powerful family loosely murdered by a murderer who is still running, pushing the insult, owning our own castle. And I would have to live this unbearable reality with resignation, focused on other meaningless battles that evoke me only vulgar legends of the past ? My brother may still be alive, our dead cry out for vengeance, and I have a promise of revenge to honor on my arms ! What do I care for these principles, so hollow and so distant, when the appeal of justice and bloodshed in reparation is calling me so ardently ? I cry with rage just at the idea of moving away even a little from this objective that I perceive as vital, as if it were indispensable to me to find the redemption of which I so much need and that I cry out loudly ! >> - << The king will be warned of Howe's betrayal and knowing him for what I saw and having seen him more than once, I have no doubt that he will act in consequence. After that, you will cut off all ties with your past and everything connected with it. Nothing will obstruct your duty as it seems to be the case now. Many of the Grey Warden who shared the same concerns as yours at the beginning, worried about their surroundings, shaken by pressing personal goals. And all have inexorably ended up assuming their new role and responsibilities that go hand in hand. And like them, you will fulfill your duty. >> - << Do not assume anything of my intentions, Warden, you would be dead wrong. I shall not feel any remorse in letting you having a discussion alone with the darkspawns, if it were suddenly my envy. >> - << You are a man of honor, a man of duty I know it, I can feel it. You promised to your father that you would accomplish his last will and mine at the same time, in exchange for your life and the hope of bringing Howe to justice for his misdeeds against your family before the king Cailan we are going to meet. >> - << Tsss... Honor... !! Nothing but a pool of piss ! Look where it led my father and all our family, tumbled like vulgar whores by one of their lackeys who was devoid of it to the bone ! You are mistaken about me ! >> - << I am not. I'm rarely mistaken when I judge a human being, that's one of my qualities. I see a lot of potential in you, if not spoiled by inappropriate priorities. Given the nature of our order and the harshness of our commitment, I believe that you will make an excellent recruit actually, not to mention your martial skills in spite of your ... initial reluctance. But you will eventually change your mind, I am certain. >>- << I don't think so. >>- << Oh you will. >> * The face of duncan darkens, his black eyes shine with a disturbing gleam. His facial expression hardened while the atmosphere became suddenly heavier. * << Once you have seen who our real enemies are and what they are capable of. I am convinced then, that you will fully embrace our cause, as many others before you. You will eventually forget your origins, those to whom you so proudly hang up and become an authentic Grey warden. >>The last true conversation between my warden and Duncan before they reach Ostagar to meet the King Cailan. In spite of him and his reluctance, Joruth started to like him and to feel close to him. Seeing himself as an orphan, he was maybe his last parent.

Yesterday, Katriel finished the Jaws of Hakkon and had her final showdown with Corypheus. In my second time through the JOH, I caught details of the story of Inquisitor Ameridan that I missed the first time through. (I'm still not clear on what happened to Haron and Orinna however...) I went through it rather quickly, focusing on winning the favor of Stone Bear Hold and helping the researchers uncover the truth about Ameridan. For part of it, I accidently had fun torturing Blackwall with Cole, who kept bringing up the sad details of Blackwall's past despite BW's protests. (Blackwall clearly didn't think Cole was helping! ) Throughout JOH, I had Solas in the party to see if he would add anything to the lore or to the Solasmance. He actually was pretty talkative throughout the DLC, particularly when spirits were involved. (Both he and Cole got me to kill Grandin, whose desire for revenge against the Hakkonites led him to let in a Rage Demon.) For the melting of the ice and the battle against the Hakkonites and the Dragon, I had Solas, Cass and Varric. Both Solas and Cass talked to Ameridan. (By contrast, much less companion interplay in Descent, Solas included. I was surprised that Deep Roads veteran, Varric, had so little to add in this DLC. Overall, I liked JOH much better than Descent. For my Inky and her companions, though, I was not inclined to use Stone Bear Hold or Hakkonite armor. With all the trials running, Katriel was at level 24 during the final stretch of the DLC. Some of the Hakkonite fights were brutal with Katriel and her team getting wiped out several times. The dragon fight was a breeze since the team had Cold Resistance gear. After JOH, tied a couple of loose ends before summoning Mythal. With Katriel at Level 25, Cory was annihilated quickly, even with Even Ground and other trials on. Now on to Trespasser!

Their job was to draw the Avvar forces away from the temple so Ameridan and Telana could kill the dragon. From the monument, it sounds like they did a pretty good job of it, killing 60 Avvar between the two of them before they fell.

Thanks, I remember meeting Colette at the ruin talking about a battle, but didn't make the right dialogue choice that would've clarified it was a fight to the death. My next dumb question: Where do you go to collect trial rewards in Trespasser? Is there a box somewhere as there was in Skyhold?

That looks like the trials chest, but there was nothing in it even though I got "trials reward" message while disrupting Qunari lyrium mining operation. On a positive note, I've caught three harlequins so far. I didn't catch any on the first PT.

Hmm, maybe it's broken then. I don't recall ever getting any rewards in Trespasser either. Harlequins are a PITA but it's worth it at least once to get all 5. Don't forget to sync with the nug once you get them; then you'll never have to chase another one of the little buggers unless you are a glutton for punishment. The fireworks after dark are a bit less frustrating, and at least pretty to look at even if you get a crappy score.

I've finally finished Silverite mines, and reaquirec all my gear. So, the mod worked, thank you to the authors that will never see this. Well, they know....
And, well, not much else to say, apparat from Justice not liking my Warden for recruiting Velanna. Eh, well, can't please everyone. I guess I also should have finished the conspiracy subplot before returning to the keep, because I got ambushed when I did. I guess I won't have a happy ending.

What do you get for getting all 5? I never bothered. I stopped syncing after I was sure one of my chars had all the schematics because I did it on a old PT and discovered what I should have is not all there in the next. ... and my elven Inqs are still not appearing in DAK. Oh well, nvm. They better get it all sorted out properly for the next game.

Spent about 2 hours failing to to complete the DA2 fight with Corypheus on Nightmare. May have to go back to the start of Legacy and equip everyone with fire runes to make the fight more survivable, because the rubbish AI pathfinding keeps having the companions refuse to follow my directions, leading to them getting stuck behind rocks and go running into the fire. Tried the trick of ducking into the alcoves to escape the worst of the flames, but Anders and Varric keeps getting one-shotted because they refuse to stay on the highest steps.

I got bronto madness this PT at Emerald Graves.
Killed a giant, two brontos joined the melee Killed a giant, a bronto showed up. Then another giant showed up five secs later, from behind a tree I might add (must be taking lessons from the Nazgul), then all five brontos nearby charged into the fray.
Everyone is 27 because I enabled even ground. Lovely....
P.S. Additional tally.
Giant with respawned bronto. Giant with a bear that came ambling by.
It's all Dorian's fault. Must be his perfume!

The fireworks after dark are a bit less frustrating, and at least pretty to look at even if you get a crappy score. There's a technique you can use for the harlequins that helped me get all of them in a few minutes (as opposed to my other PTs where I never even got one). To the side of the bathhouse there are waterfall-like thingies, you stand on the right side at the stairs that lead up to the place where you meet Teagan later. Do a Quicksave. Then quickload. With every load the harlequins respawn and there's a chance for one to spawn right at the foot of the waterfall, back turned towards you. If it spawned run right up to it, frequently pushing the action button. Go back to the stairs, quicksave, quickload. There is also a spawner on the other side, you have to be careful to not get too close to the harlequin when crossing the walkway. A third spawner is inside the bathhouse, but I can't describe the location, sorry, it's been a while. And on the outside of the house on the side where Cullen is and pretty much level with his position iirc is another one that you can get. Also you will be able to hear the distinctive noise that they make on spawning so if you quickload and don't hear it, quickload again. Worked as a charm for me. As for the fireworks... Whoever thought this was a nice little game should be fired. I couldn't manage to even get the lowest points needed to get any reward. So I cheated. And will never bother with that stupid ingame game again.

I got bronto madness this PT at Emerald Graves. Today I came across a great bear attacking a bronto, and then the bear was attacked by a giant. I just stood there and watched until they battered each other down to 10% health. I swear, there is something about having Dorian in the party that encourages bears to spawn. (And not the kind of bears he might actually like to attract ...)

For the harlequins you get dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Brand_Schematic
And the fireworks rewards. Best I've got is 80, for the schematic. Didn't know there was something else for getting over 100 pts!
◾ Scoring 50+ points earns: +1 Magic ◾ Scoring 65+ points earns: +3 Magic and a Sigil of the Golem ◾ Scoring 80+ points earns: +6 Magic and Chromatic Greatsword Schematic ◾ Scoring 100+ points earns: +10 Willpower
There's a technique you can use for the harlequins that helped me get all of them in a few minutes (as opposed to my other PTs where I never even got one). Whoever thought this was a nice little game should be fired. I couldn't manage to even get the lowest points needed to get any reward. So I cheated. And will never bother with that stupid ingame game again. For the harlequins, I've had the best luck next to the forge, in the alleyway with the woodpiles. Today I came across a great bear attacking a bronto, and then the bear was attacked by a giant. I just stood there and watched until they battered each other down to 10% health. I swear, there is something about having Dorian in the party that encourages bears to spawn. (And not the kind of bears he might actually like to attract ...)
I have the same problem with Blackwall, but figure it's because he kinda looks like a bear, or maybe smells like one. Or, maybe it's because he sleeps in the barn and smells like the horses?

Damn - I accidently deleted a post, I tried to create ... sorry ... second try I have created a new human, Kaylee. She is a mage and not very comfortable in her role as the chosen of Andraste. I recreated her after my Hawke from a few posts before, but with different hair. Some more pics from the prologue And of course, my main character was busy: Riya managed to negotiate a truce between Celene and Briala, sadly poor Gaspard didn't make it (explanation behind that is really stupid: I miscalculated my hallas and had not enough to open Celenes chamber) 'Party' Meeting the witch, not impressed so far Varrick's angels CSI Thedas Peace - finally (hopefully) Bull asking for the next dance Nice friendship talk with Cass, back in Skyhold And a cute shot of Riya with that nice patchwork outerwear

^ Solas clearly desires / loves the Inq but he controls it because of his priorities; restoring the People is more important than their love. He's willing to sacrifice it. I applaud him for it but I also want to kick his ass. If you have Iron Bull and Solas in party there is chess match between them. What I found on internet is that someone re-do their play and said that Solas, for winning the match, sacrificed his queen for mage to win. No idea if it's true but god damn Solas D: @add Wasn't even long to search for it, here you go!
