DA:O - It is gone. Farewell my dear friend. I won't download you from Origin. May you have rest peacefully whereever you are. DA2 - It is done. Stupid brother died so many times Marian stopped counting after 23rd. We got her new fancy outfit... bleh... note made by herself, never wear Grey Wardens armors again, they don't have the sense of fashion. Corypheus was dead... They talked with Larius after won fight, went back to Kirkwall and talked mother about everything. (Useless) Carver talked like a hero, not pointing out how many times he was knocked down by Fenris (really, still not paying attention to friendly fire. Bethany come back plz). We still didn't play with the dog. And didn't name him. Any recommendations? Except Barkspawn, mighty Warden from DA:O owns one. BTW: you remember how the last fight look like? When you keep watching Larius at the background after defeating Cory you see his head, how he puts hand to forehead, how the pose changes and then the way he talks... Because of DA:I we already know how, but god damn it! We thought he just gets better because that son of a b... barkspawn is defeated. Caught you Cory! (and the eyes as well? I swear his eyes were like right eye of Cory) DA:I - can't decide who to play. Seriously. The Solavellan is stronger than any other race. *sobs silently*Also, I want this to happen! >:C prismavore.tumblr.com/post/129948533943/quit-being-silly-you-know-what-i-want-xenon

Damn - I accidently deleted a post, I tried to create ... sorry ... second try I have created a new human, Kaylee. She is a mage and not very comfortable in her role as the chosen of Andraste. I recreated her after my Hawke from a few posts before, but with different hair. Some more pics from the prologue And of course, my main character was busy: Riya managed to negotiate a truce between Celene and Briala, sadly poor Gaspard didn't make it (explanation behind that is really stupid: I miscalculated my hallas and had not enough to open Celenes chamber)'Party' Meeting the witch, not impressed so far Varrick's angels CSI Thedas Peace - finally (hopefully) Bull asking for the next dance Nice friendship talk with Cass, back in Skyhold And a cute shot of Riya with that nice patchwork outerwear Try this mod: www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/986/?It allows you to open all halla doors with just the 10 halla statues. Your newest human Inquisitor is cute too! (Kaylee is my niece's name BTW! )

Thank you - I will use that mod the next time. I've beaten Halamshiral twice now without a mod, I think, it's time to seek some help Kaylee is a great name. I named my character after the mechanic from Firefly, but you can tell your niece, she should be really proud of that name

Stats don't look as good as the AoGE. I always give Cass / BW that axe. So I guess I won't bother with it. ^ Solas clearly desires / loves the Inq but he controls it because of his priorities; restoring the People is more important than their love. He's willing to sacrifice it. I applaud him for it but I also want to kick his ass. If you have Iron Bull and Solas in party there is chess match between them. What I found on internet is that someone re-do their play and said that Solas, for winning the match, sacrificed his queen for mage to win. No idea if it's true but god damn Solas D: Shucks. Truly? So I guess if it comes to the final crunch, Inq loses. The chess match I got to find out. I'm running Dorian vs BW all the way in this PT. It'll be Solas and IB in the next, I'll be watching their interaction. Won't be romancing Solas, once is enough.

Finally managed to complete DA2 (including DLC) on Nightmare for the first time. Something made infinitely more difficult due to my usual self-imposed challenge of having to complete every fight without suffering any casualties, no revivals allowed and restarting the fight if any party member should fall. For some reason, have been idly reflecting on the difference between perfectionism and masochism?

For some reason, have been idly reflecting on the difference between perfectionism and masochism? By contrast, for me, a fight where none of my people fall and where few potions are used is an indication that the difficulty isn't set high enough! (I guess that puts me on the masochistic side of the perfectionism versus masochism?! ) Maybe your case is best described as "masochistic perfectionism"?

Spent the last couple of days finishing off wilderness areas and side quests getting ready to head for the Arbor Wilds. Trying to decide now if I want to capture Suledin Keep or wait until after I deal with Corypheus. I don't want to repair the bridge and kill the dragons yet, so I'll have to come back anyway. Most importantly, I finally managed to find the wandering rebel mage on the Storm Coast and take his glowing key! Seven completed runs, and I've never had access to the Mighty Offense tonic before. (I've tried to unlock the door in previous games, but never managed to find the dude. The area isn't that big, but trying to do a proper grid search in that terrain is a pain in the neck, especially with a moving target.) And having looked in his basement, wow, I am really glad I killed that guy. Sort of feel like I should get future Inquisitors to take care of him too even though I use the Golden Nug and don't need to get the recipe any more.
I didn't manage to get Vivienne's low approval cut scene even though I gave her the ordinary wyvern heart and she's never liked this Inquisitor. Oh, well, maybe next run when I intend to have Fair-Weather Friends switched on. Speaking of which, does anyone know if Iron Bull and/or Varric have low approval scenes? I know Cassandra, Blackwall, Dorian and Cole do although I've never triggered any of them. (I have no trouble getting the elf companions to hate me. I've unlocked the opportunity to punch Solas twice without even trying!)

So, today a lot of things, finished the whole Ostagar arc in nightmare mod, from meeting first the King Cailan to waking up in a bed with Morrigan in sight, totally lost. An important part to me, because I consider it heavily played a role on the character of my protagonist, what kind of man he would be, how he would rise step by step with his important actions and decisions and their consequences for what would follow. << In peace, Vigilance. In war, Victory. In death, Sacrifice. This is what it means to be a grey warden. >>Tears of rage on his face mixing with blood giving him an incongruous red carnival mask in front of the announced defeat announced, his universe destroyed again, even more terrible, while he tumbled into the darkness on the top floor of the Tower of Ishar, submerged by an irreversible wave of darkspawns. Joruth stunned by everything he saw, what he fought. Ravaged and terribly upset, the young Cousland changed. Faced with all these horrible discoveries. These terrible losses. All these scenes of horror and disarming tragedies. These monstrosities. Following these surprising encounters. With so many disturbing secret and dark implications very hardly learned. Ostagar disfigured him, tormented him. Ostagar transformed him, awakened him. Joruth has gained in determination and maturity what he has lost in humanity and carefree. Never again will he shed tears, his eyes dried up forever, suddenly and extremely enamored however of an intense passion for his mission and of an infinite love for humanity and life that have never been as strong as after having undergone an apocalyptic glimpse of what would await all of them in the near future if no one reacted with the iron fist, implacable ardor, and indestructible altruism that this would require, hardened.Joruth Cousland, son of a great and noble family of Highever, burning for his ambitions, for his dreams, for the people he loved, provided with a past first buried, now non - existent, was now definitely dead, with everyone else in Ostagar, fainted in the wild. Forgotten his great resolutions of revenge, his hesitations, buried his political and personal aspirations, his memories. His face, beardless of any wound or scar was only a pitiful illusion, concealing the nameless lacerations engraved in his flesh and soul, responsible of his radical change.Survivor, war veteran, the only banner of a decimated order, the only hope of a whole country which was prey to chaos and dissension, threatened to disappear. Joruth, the intangible, the inflexible, the pitiless grey warden who never deviates from his path, born from chaos to fight the evil, took his place with all the gravity that imposes itself and all the cruel experiences that are his : Steel, war, suffering, fire, death, torment, the feeling of seeing and witnessing the end of world known and reassuring. He is now used to them, and will go through the tests without failing. Alistair and he as the last representatives of the Grey wardens in Ferelden, the only survivors of the defeat of Ostagar. The last hope. The battle continues, never ceased, and will only end with their annihilation or that of the enemy and their main target, the arch-demon. New sanguinary heralds if necessity requires it, the two young men will do everything to amass the necessary energy everywhere, to unite the living forces of the country to carry the fatal blow and to wrest victory. Ostagar is way behind now. A new man waked up one morning and would rise.

Then right after doing so, I talked to her about mage Freedom and we did not agree on needed Circle/Templar oversight. Next thing I know, I got the disapproval scene. Varric does have a disapproval scene. He kindly tries to tell you to stop being a jerk. Iron Bull does not though. He's a paid Merc, not a volunteer.

I think I am getting close to the end of Awakening.
Been playing through Kal'Hilor. Because it is a dwarven stronghold, I replaced Justice with Orghen, and Sigrun insisted on coming along, so my party now is all the chars I have not played with, and balanced between species. Two elves, two dwarves. I was a bit annoyed that Sigrun told Velanna that she is the first elf she met, and will judge the race based on her, right by my Dalish Elf. Oh, well. Can't be perfect. The banters are fairily boring, Orghen just hitting on the women, and they rejecting him.
The quest itself is neat, though the interiors are hard to navigate and the autopathing has a hell of a time. I will need to run through it the second time with Nathaniel, to pick all the locks Sigrun can't, so I am thinking to just duo it.
Sigrun has a setup that shows how a rogue is developed into a ranger class, but as nice as dual wielding is with two full-sized weapons, lack of cunning and lockpicking sucks. Good thing the Awakening does not really rely on traps like Origin did.
The game's ridiculously easy atm, everyone is armed to the teeth, and barely take any damage.
Once I am done this quest, I will set up the final party configuration as Velanna, Nathaniel and Justice. I like both Anders and Velanna, but Velanna -just a touch more, plus she does not return in DA2.
Overall, I find myself liking the expansion companions more than the original on the whole. Shale, Velanna, Nathaniel, Sigrun and Justice are more interesting for me with the exception of Sten and Wynne as characters. I do like Alistair, but his plot-role overshadowed him as a companion.

Next thing I know, I got the disapproval scene. I did both of those, and let Celene be killed to put Briala in charge and gave her the fake wyvern heart, still no low approval cut scene. I think my mistake was doing her book-collecting quest, even though it doesn't get you that much approval. That and exiling the Wardens were the only things Carathir Lavellan ever did that she really liked. (Oh, and thank you for the info about Varric and Iron Bull!)

That and exiling the Wardens were the only things Carathir Lavellan ever did that she really liked. (Oh, and thank you for the info about Varric and Iron Bull!) Ah. See, I allied the mages then had the discussion at Haven Chantry about Templar oversight. So many greatly disapproves popped up I thought I'd max disapproval. I did no quests for her because then we went to Skyhold. At Skyhold, our first conversation was about how I've been doing a terrible job as a leader in the courtyard. Then she went up to her balcony. At this point, I have her book quest but I'm sitting on it because, I mean, it'd be really weird for her to hate me and then suddenly like me. While I sit on that fence of whether I should embrace her hate, I do a a handful of small quests (save the soldiers), I go talk to her again. She moves my furniture. This is before any but the Alexis and Avvar judgement (Alex to study, Avvar to Tevinter) and before either Adamant or Winter Palace. At that point, I embrace her hate. Don't do her book quest. And she has very little to say to me for the rest of the game. She never even asks me about Bastien. Accuses me of getting Leliana the Divine job, makes some complaints to Josephine. And I do end up doing all the WT quests and get those approval points as well as some approval from main story quests. She doesn't budge, the greatly disapproves I got from that Haven Conversation were just too great. Maybe it was because I was Dalish too? So had more responses to argue about Templar Oversight? Wait your character was a Lavellan.

@ Phoray : Thank you, glad you liked it ! @ Domi. I love Velanna. I'm glad to see that someone else like her too. It seemed to me that really a lot hated her or at least wanted to slap her face. I was probably the only one who wanted to romance her. Disappointed it didn't happen. I personally like all companions in DAO and DA: Awakening. Obviously some more than others. As for Joruth, as leader and grey warden, his first decisions in Lothering. First he met bandits, they tried to ransom him and his small group, he calmly claimed they would not pay, they then threatened him and attacked their group. He could have warned them he was a grey warden, but he didn't. Not specially something he wanted to reveal yet. After losing the combat, their leader asked for mercy, but Joruth refused him this favor. It was a bandit that took advantage of the plight of others , who didn't hesitate to kill refugees who could not pay or didn't want to, there was no way he would let him alive and let him start again elsewhere. He executed him. He deserved his fate according to him and he didn't regret his choice one bit. There was also a conflict between a merchant and citizens. The merchant grossly speculated on the price of his products, taking advantage of the distress of the people. In normal times, Joruth would have defended free market and the merchant, each woman and man able to decide for itself its own prices in its own company. But it was no normal time, and solidarity had to prevail over thieves, bad speculators and profiteers. Joruth gave two options to the merchant, either dropping his prices or leaving Lothering without his goods that he would keep and give to the citizens. The grumpy merchant, without allies finally accepted to remain reasonable with his prices and made peace with everyone. Wasn't a bad guy, just misleaded. Morrigan didn't really appreciate however. For her it was not only normal that those who were stronger take advantage of those who were weaker but she also did not see the need to intervene in small minor conflicts. In spite of that, Joruth was totally satisfied by how the matter ended. He was however intrigued by the witch, this woman who seemed really different from everything he has ever known in his past. And finally, Joruth fell on Loghain's soldiers in a tavern and they immediately jumped on him, tried to kill him, convinced that the warden were responsible of the defeat of Ostagar and were the real traitors. They didn't give a damn about his words, they attacked first. After the combat, their leader asked for mercy, and the sister Leliana who helped the grey wardens required the same, however Joruth was not willing to let it go, first because these men didn't hesitate to try murdering them without asking anything first, they didn't care about killing innocents. But also and especially because if he let them alive, they would report everything to their master Loghain about the survival of a few wardens, which is what he absolutely wanted to avoid. Joruth wasn't unaware that the warden were denounced as traitors in the whole country by Loghain, and that anyone who could find and kill one of them would be paid, hence why it had to remain a secret. He needed time and to be free with his movements as long as possible, to carry out his mission without having to worry already about Loghain and his soldiers, so it could be easier. At least until having the support of Eamon, the first big step. He then simply asked Leliana to prey for them, and then, just after, he killed them. The sister Leliana regretted that he didn't let them live but she didn't blame his decision, she understood and he appreciated that. After a surprising talk with her, he decided to let her join his group, after Alistair and Morrigan.

Hamin finally finished up his War Tabling yesterday so today he could further the plot by two inches or so. The final bit was to swoop in and save Sutherland and co. The saving went well, but after the darkspawn were dispatched, a rebel mage sauntered to the scene, demanding compensation for the assault on his door knob. The only solution was to attack the mage. The fight went well, but only Shayd pitched in, thus marking her as the best girl. Sutherland and Voth just stood back and watched, either confident in Hamins fighting ability or just staying out of that mess. Back at Skyhold, Hamin pardoned Blackwall and invited Josie to his room to reassure her that they were in fact, not dating.
At last it was time to visit the Arbor Wilds and find out what the void a "Mythal" was. Hamin's headcanon for this blatant lack of lore is that he was distracted by the idea that his troops saw him as a shemlen woman. Which was unnerving because he looked nothing like her, but on the other hand, that white dress would suit his figure perfectly. The trek to the temple went well and many fine materials were gathered. Some of the enemy troops did not spawn, which Hamin was totally fine with. Inside the temple, Hamin decided to walk the petitioners path, not for Morrigans benefit, but because the Keeper had taught him to be respectful of old ruins. He did two of the floor puzzles flawlessly, but things got hairy with the gated ones. Because SOME PEOPLE could not stand still and kept distracting him. But he succeeded in the end and got to skip a bunch of fighting. He kept peace with the Elderly and resisted the urge to smack a lightning bolt on Morrigans butt as she flew by. In the end, it was Hamin who took the sippy sip. He was tempted to let Morrigan have it, but figured he'd never hear the end of it from the Keeper if he let such a treasure cove of knowledge slip by him. The water was delicious by the way.
Back at Skyhold, he did the usual meet and greet. Solas obviously ate some elfroot that day, since instead of shouting at Hamin for becoming Mythals personal playtoy, he led Hamin into his room and told him how wise and special he was. Which was awfully nice of him. Luckily, he did not need to be told that he and Hamin were in fact, not dating. Hamin then chatted to Cassandra, learned of a potential alliance with the Qun from Bull and got threatened with physical violence from Sera. He then chatted a bit with Cole before helping Morrigan to relocate her kid.
Kid safe and sound it was time to deal with that Alliance. It went swimmingly, until at the end when Hamin broke everything and Bull became Tal-Vashoth. Oops. So Hamin and Bull went home. Next up it was time to give Cole some jewelry. But Cole was immune to bling, so Hamin, Cole, Varric and Solas went templar hunting instead and Varric ended up letting Cole hold Bianca. Solas spent the event regretting to have ever spoken a word in Hamin's favor.
Since the voices in Hamin's head told him that he needed to conquer a dragon, he took Sera, Blackwall and Bull to do some training before hand. They killed a dragon in Crestwood, the Hinterlands and the smallest of dragons in the Emprise du Lion. They also cleared out the other side of the River in the Emerald Graves, but left Baby Blue alone since she was so gosh darn adorable.
Oh and Breki did some stuff yesterday. Mostly some boring Hinterlands stuff. But still, stuff.

Finished off Corypheus last night! I still have quite a bit to do - the Hissing Wastes, some stuff in Emprise du Lion, all of the DLC - but at least Carathir Lavellan finished dealing with the main threat.
I'm more excited that I unlocked Sera's high approval scene! Turns out you can still get that scene after the Arbor Wilds, and Carathir agreed that Mythal was not a real goddess. (He might have slightly revised his opinion after meeting Flemeth. But only slightly.) Morrigan got the Well, Sera got her prejudices confirmed, Carathir got bad cookies on the roof, everyone was happy.
Cassandra is the new Divine, so she'll be breaking up with the Inquisitor soon, but I actually like that conclusion to the relationship. (Bittersweet endings are my favourite kind, which is why I'm not really sorry that I let romanced Blackwall join the Wardens or that Dorian goes back to Tevinter no matter what you do.)

I'm lined up for the final battle and Trespasser. The latter, I'm not very keen on 1) fruity party selection bug because I'm using mods 2) It's the cutoff point of a two part story (which I mentioned before. I hate unfinished business It always bugs the hell out of me, an itch I can't scratch) The question of the impact of the loss of the left forearm also lingered very long. The more I think / see mages rebuilding broken bridges and pathways, the more I think they're using a spell that recreated the memory (and whatever they visualised) of what the structure was. If so, why couldn't it be applied to missing limbs? Granted, the bridges and such were rebuilt with materials that had fallen away or brought in, it might be impossible to do with living flesh. But what about the memory of growth? Could not the flesh "remember" the formation of a limb? * Standing at the balcony of her chamber, Alanen looked down into the inner bailey, watching the people below. There was an air of exuberance hanging over Skyhold. The desires of a would be god was once more thwarted, his army was decimated and the remnants sent fleeing. How could they not win? She knew better. She had yet to stand one on one against Corypheus. She could lose on the brink of victory because her foe had to be feeling desperate. A cornered beast could do the unexpected and turned the tables. She knew this from the hunts she went on when she gathered food for her clan, the lost of a childhood friend because he never thought of anything but victory. She could not afford to be complacent.

I wrote exceptionally long forum posts about Dragon Age. This used up my entire evening. ^^

Finished present PT. Results ... Horror of horrors. Viviene is Divine. That is not what I wanted. I wanted Cass. I must have buttered the mage up too much and despite my advocating for Cass, she still gets it. Must be that bludy cutscene of her inviting Bastine's sister and son to Skyhold. That sealed it for her. Bah! The next time I recruit her, I will not do her quests. This is the second time I get her as Divine. I always do one quest of hers and never talked to her much. I was too talkative this time. Another surprise. The Inquisition is known for its military strength. A first for me after what...over 20 PTs? I doubt I can get diplomacy because the minute Jossie talked about arranged marriages and such for the parties concerned, it's totally off for me. I can't do Trespasser with the third unpleasant "reality" of a Viviene as Divine so I will not do it. But I will gladly do it if DA4 involved an alt path of kicking the Divine off her throne. * One detail I noted. On my human female Inqs who romanced Cullen, I can always see the top of their heads just over his shoulder in the hugging scene. In this one, I can't see the elven Inq's head at all so at least the devs observed the appropriate anatomy size. I'm not sure I want to do a mage (zero on that score for DAI and DA2. I got one for DAO) for the next PT (I have no new games in line at the moment). Their armor look horrid to me. If I make one, I'll be spending most of the time grumbling about the armor and how bad the Inq looks.

There is only one play through that may end up with her as Divine due to choices for me. Every other time I've played, I've just been irritated at her messing up my good mage ending epilogue slides. And complaining about our Barbie Dolls clothes is the favorite pastime of Dragon Age. Don't cut yourself out of that tradition

I wanted Cassandra, because she fit more in this story. Like you, I got high approval from Vivienne after doing her personal quests, taking her for the first time to the Arbor Wilds and drinking from the well. That triggered the game to choose her over Cass. Not completing Trespasser either. It's only the second time I got Vivienne as Divine. Majority of my PTs had Cassandra as Divine and two with Leliana.

Finally finished Trespasser and boy was the last lap a bear thanks to Trials! I reached the Darvaarad yesterday with my team equipped electricity resistant armor. My team was annihilated the first time we ran into that traitor - Iron Bull! Always one of the squishier companions, he was a real pain here! (Yes, I realize this is the price paid for sacrificing the Chargers.) Next attempt, we take down IB but the team dies while trying to free Ataashi! Ideally, I would put the companions in a safe spot and give them the hold command while Katriel move around adjusting the burners under her invisibility cloak thanks to Ring of Doubt. Unfortunately, HOLD seems to be a command the companions happily ignore, leading to chaos! Third time, I make it through and go through the misery that is the Saarath Boss on Nightmare. I spent hours doing this battle multiple times yesterday always dying when I got him down to the last 10% and he began summoning demons. Frustrated, I surfed the web and ran into a post where someone said not only was high electricity resistance necessary, but your armor also required a lot of magic defense. I went back to my last Winter Palace save and spent more than a hour crafting appropriate armor and experimented with staves. (Sadly, Katriel had to ditch the wonderful "Skin" armor she had been wearing in favor of - gasp - the Refined Battlemage Mail armor! The lamest mage armor for PC in the DA universe! ) I decided to do the last leg with two teams -- one for the Davaraad and one to take on Saraath. Team one was all guys - Dorian, Varric, and Blackwall. Team two, all the female characters. I did this to get over the problem of not being able to replenish grenades and potions after freeing Ataashi. For mages, this time around I ditched the Staff of Corruption -- a Tier 3 schematic I liked because you could load it up with both barrier and guard penetration -- in favor of higher damage, Tier 4 staves both dropped and crafted. This morning, the new gear and strategy paid off; Katriel and her two teams went through the Davaraah and defeated Saraath in a single run! Katriel takes on Saraath wearing the ugliest mage armor in all of Thedas! A disaster aesthetically, but it got the job done! i.imgur.com/bbWenGG.png Katriel then had a brief, tearful reunion with Solas. Perhaps because of the Solasmance mindset, I couldn't get Katriel to use strong language with him. He seems so damn remorseful about it all, it's hard to get angry with him. The choices given at the end seem a bit ambiguous: 1. You will try to get Solas to change his mind or you will try to stop Solas, even if it means killing him. In the former, what do you do if he continues with his plans? Sit on your hands? (I guess that would be "hand" if you're the Inquisitor...) 2. Continue with a reduced, more specialized Inquisition or disband the Inquisition. Knowing that Solas still poses a threat, how does disbanding the Inquisition entirely make any sense at all? It's not like you're actually given the option of supporting Solas. As to the epilogue, they mention the Qun disavowing the Viddasala's plot or any knowledge of it. That doesn't seem plausible, especially if you're betrayed by IB, who's a Ben Hassarath agent. They then say that Tal Vashoth in the south suffered as a result. I suppose that would be the case even without IB's betrayal given the Dragon Breath plot in general. Shouldn't the same apply to elves as well? Elven servants in Orlais were active agents of the Qun. Even elves working in the Inquisition were fifth columnists either for the Qun or for Solas. I think this would put an elven Inquisitor in a bad position. For those who read TME, at least a partial recognition of Briala's connection to the eluvians: Other thoughts: I like Cole with Maryden, but the initial reunion with IB is very sad in a "Chargers sacrificed" world state. He has nothing to say, he's back to being Hisraad. Of the three DLC, I put Trespasser on top. JOH is a close second. Descent is good, but not quite as good as the other two. A couple dumb questions; is it ever addressed why Solas went into a slumber for hundreds of years? Also, for the final meeting, what did you have to do so that the Inky would recognize Solas as Fen Harel right away as opposed to being "an ageint of Fen Harel?" In a world state where you've freed the mages, what's the different between the College of Magi and the Circle of Magi that Viv reestablishes? Does the Circle employ Templars? How would life differ for mages within the Circle as opposed to the College?

deadlydwarfTo get that dialogue option where the Inquisitor bluntly states Solas is Fen'Harel right away, you have to find I think 4 pieces of evidence. The guide is outlined in fluffyninjallama's video: The advantages of disbanding the Inquisition are you're free from the political side and don't have to deal with squabbling nobles. Also, you won't have to worry about spies and infiltration. I take this route if my Inquisitor plans to stop Solas. You have the core group (Cassandra, Leliana, Harding and whoever's romanced) and can work undercover. The College of Magi is a school where mages can study magic without Templars' supervision. Plus they have more freedom than being closed in the Circles.

I've finished the Awakening. I think I spent most of the playtime trying to craft runes, and figure out why I can't make Grandmasters lightening rune necessary to finish wade's quest. Apparently at some point I made a grave mistake of defending the farmland, not the trade routes, so no etching is available. Well, whatever. I just crafted gazillion flame ones to build a sword.
My endings were pretty happy, despite my not putting down noble rebellion in time and confronting peasants at some point. But everyone survived, castle stood, Amaranth got repaired after my defending it, and my Warden by some reason retired from the order. Which I found odd. But the epilogue placed her with Zevran in Antivia, and all the companions lived as well.
