Starting off in Haven, Leliana wanted me to check out reports of shifty Wardens in the Hinterlands Then I got a history lesson from Mother Giselle Rift busting, Ram meat and blankets were the first order of business, but while doing that I recovered this ladies missing ring And helped Ritts out of a awkward situation The cultists were recruited to spread the word of the Inquisition I've always really liked this fort, for some reason. Even though it is largely a ruin, it has the working gate and plenty of room. Absurdly large bottle is absurdly large And, for the first time in over 5 complete playthroughs...I met this kid! Hela had her "Lady in the Lake" moment... Before finding the Warden that Leliana had asked about And, of course, the obligatory line... Then finally it was off to the farms to get horses for the Inquisition. I'd already taken care of the wolves for Dennett's wife, so next time will be the Watchtowers.

I currently have two playthroughs of dao I'm playing. My current playthrough, as a rogue, I defeated Uldred, but Irving died. In all my dao playthroughs, at least the ones where I wanted to save the mages, nearly all playthroughs, he has never died. That sucked. What sucked even more is that I failed to have a save before facing Uldred. After realizing what happens without the mages around, I decided to reload an earlier save, 3.5 hours back, to have Irving survive. So I had to redo the circle tower again and a few other things I did before that. This time I made a save after talking to Cullen. So for the first time ever, I used the Litany of Adralla. It worked. Irving is happy to be alive.
In my other playthrough, I'm an arcane warrior. Even Wynne is an arcane warrior as well.

I find it very annoying that the Litany has a cooldown, and the cooldown time is longer than the time between Uldred's voodoo attacks. It's also annoying that even if you are successful in using it to protect the mages, all the mages besides Irving die anyway.

Been going on a bit of a tour of Ferelden trying to get one last level before I go properly dragon hunting. I think I might've actually gotten all of the Fallow Mire done which is pretty early. Then I went over to the Storm Coast to do the Red Waters quest along with the Darkspawn there.
Anyways something I have been trying to play up on this particular playthrough is an aspect of the character which I think has exisisted (thanks to Jaws of Hakkon but I suppose more about that when I get there) but one I haven't really played up too much. Sort of Kara's dual identity crisis. Because... *sigh*...when Ameridan confronts her about being Inqusitor I always tend to go with the option where she says "It takes everything from you in the end." sort of deal, which I really like and I really like for her character but it is weird because her being Inquisitor has been mostly a positive influence on her life. She has become more confident about herself and got over her leadership issues, she has gotten over her bigotry about the Qunari and the Chantry in general to where she will fall in love with someone from the Chantry. But yet, someone I have mentioned in fan fics, it is also something that has left her incredibly burdened because of the choices she made, because of Envy, because what she usually does in Wicked Eyes and even sometimes what she does in Here Lies the Abyss. There is her and the person she wants to be and then there is the 'Inquisitor'. Her dual identity, Solas mentions it to. I just kind of wish there might have been more dialogue in game to support it. Advice?
Speaking of advice I have NEVER put a sigil on one of my characters before because I really do not like how they work but I am tempted because I got the one 'of the Great Bear' 100% stamina but it increases the speed it takes to recharge...so is it worth it?

I saved all mages but one because of the cooldown. In the end, it didn't matter. Only Irving made it out alive

I'm talking about in the room where Irving is, not the whole Circle. Even if you stop the blood magic voodoo before they explode into abominations, only Irving is alive at the end.

Which makes it pretty pointless to use on anyone but Irving.

Even if you stop the blood magic voodoo before they explode into abominations, only Irving is alive at the end I can't say I've paid careful attention specifically to that background since I focused more on the Warden, but I'm relatively sure there were other mages sitting on the floor next to him. Plus, if they didn't survive, then how did they end up grouped around him when you see Greagoir. I've never gotten an impression that only Irving survives from my game plays.

No, no, no, not dead, unconscious from the strain. Wynne probably sent a little somethin' somethin' Irving's way.

Which makes it pretty pointless to use on anyone but Irving. In terms of pointless/not pointless, there is the game mechanic, when the mages get turned/you don't use litany they become extra mobs attacking you in the fight with Uldred. I remember doing one run through on nightmare and it's best to use litany as those extras become a pain in the backside.

When you don't use litany in a fight with Uldred, then the mage he is casting the spell on become an abomination. Then this extra mob runs to your Warden and starts chewing on your leg. That's very annoying since you have to dedicate resources to killing it before getting back to Uldred. I found the fight to be difficult on nightmare mode, so, the litany was useful in keeping the extra mobs away. It's possible there is no bug and the litany is for the fight purpose. As for the rp option, I suppose it depends on your interpretation. I don't recall having this problem that only Irving survives no matter what. Then again maybe I haven't been paying close attention and assumed they survived based on the images in the corner of my eyesight.

And yeah, if you don't use the Litany on time, the mobs are really an annoyance and Uldred it's troublesome sometimes. My problems in the past as for the fight was I always at some point I ran out of stamina or mana, and then as you can't do anything, he wrecks you.

So Kara finally got one of my favorite abilities in the game, Mark of Death, so you know what that means? Dragon Hunting. Or at least starting to Dragon hunt. I got the Ferelden Frostback and the one in Crestwood so far...as well as killed the Wyveryn there before even unlocking the quest. The Ferelden one tends to always be a bit on the bitchy side for me. This time the issue was Dorian got himself fried down in the valley while I was moving up to engage her in the final little area up in that culd de sac...so I could not go back for him, so I was down to a three person squad trying to get him down.
I think I am going to have to work on my timing and rebuild my tactics for MoD but it is on the front page of my abilities so every little bit helps. I did end up going for the stamina sigil and not entirely sure I like it so far, however I am tempted to put the FTM on my next armor which gives me more stamina on kill which I am pretty sure I still have.
Up next the one in the Western Approach, plus some minor chores, plus talking with Hawke, plus taking Griffon Wing, then opening up the Hissing Wastes before heading out for Here Lies the Abyss.

Some ramblings from my day... It turns out the reason Isabela is in trouble with her former partner is because she freed a ship full of slaves... as if her fun personality was enough reason to like her Went to gallows to talk to that Templar Thrask about the mage boy from the alienage since I got nothing out of the kid's father. Varric went with me, to help keep and ear out for any talk about our little trip to the chantry last week. Took almost a hour to convince Merrill that no she's not coming along, and yes there's a good reason the Gallows is the only place in Kirkwall she hasn't gotten to explore yet. Talked with Anders about what happened in the Chantry and about his "constant companion" First he says he likes that I look like I'll be honest with him, then he gets mad when I tell him that I think it's creepy that he merged with a spirit. I agree with him that it's wrong how mages are separated from their families and locked away - but him getting mad and starting to glow like that doesn't help the conversation... {I like Anders and so does Aenorea - well right up until the Big Boom anyway - but she just needs a little time to initially wrap her head around the whole Justice thing.} Fenris agreed to come along with Bethany and I to the old family home as back up. We decided to ask Isabela along too, figured her skill set could help with breaking into the safe. Of course Uncle Gamlen had lied: Grandfather left everything to mother, including the estate. Mother's going try and get the family home back, but I don't have much hope of that happening until we have the coin this expedition will hopefully gain us. In addition to the will, I found some new armor that used to be in the family. It is a little moth-eaten and rusted, but still more protection than my current armor and I think it will clean up nice. {What else I learned/accept today in Dragon Age is that Aenorea is indeed a DW, not an archer. My canon Warden is a DW rogue, and originally my canon Hawke (Aenorea) was also a DW rogue. I decided to try and change up my canon a little, for something a little different, and made Aenorea an archer when I started this playthrough. Only took me a little less than halfway into Act 1 to realize it was futile. Even with a really good bow she was still running into the thick of battle and slashing at people with her little dagger and hitting them over the head with her bow. Grabbed a Maker's Sigh and respeced her back into the DW she was always meant to be It's still good I guess, she and Naliea Tabris may both be DW rogues, but they still have very different fighting styles. Naliea's a "strike from the shadows" kind of rogue, whereas Aenorea is more of a "in your face" kind of duelist. I just hope Isabela isn't too upset when I take back my good daggers.... think I still have some pretty jeweled daggers from a mod, I'll give her those... I liked playing an archer, but it just wasn't Aenorea. That will have to be a class for a different day and a different Hawke...} <iframe width="15.2" height="19.8200000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_14244912" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 91px; top: 417px; width: 15.2px; height: 19.82px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="15.2" height="19.8200000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_82634864" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 784px; top: 417px; width: 15.2px; height: 19.82px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="15.2" height="19.8200000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_49549406" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 91px; top: 1339px; width: 15.2px; height: 19.82px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="15.2" height="19.8200000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_80967956" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 784px; top: 1339px; width: 15.2px; height: 19.82px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> #AenoreaHawke

I gotta say, Fiona is really blessed by the plot. She became an abomination at some point and came back from that alive. She is also the only Grey Warden who's ever been cured.

How/when did Fiona become an abomination? When she was exploring the Deep Roads with Maric and Duncan, they came across a possessed skeleton. The demon quickly overwhelmed everyone with its power and then jumped into her body.

Is that what might have cured her of her Grey Wardenism? *** In my game I offed the Abyssal High Dragon, closed a fade rift, collected one of Black Wall's tokens, and then captured Griffon Wing. Next time I am off to the Hissing Wastes. It was quite funny when my fiancee was watching me play the game last night she was all like 'why is no one shooting him...why didn't Sera put an arrow in him!' when Lord Livius started doing the whole anchor thing. I also have a bit of an objection with how the line is portrayed 'I already got a head start'...unless I read the prompt wrong oh well. But yeah Here Lies the Abyss is looming ever closer in the display. Lets see how that goes.

In my game I offed the Abyssal High Dragon, closed a fade rift, collected one of Black Wall's tokens, and then captured Griffon Wing.
Yes, she was not possessed anymore. I'd love to see how she managed that little trick given the whole...Anders...thing.

Yes, she was not possessed anymore. I'd love to see how she managed that little trick given the whole...Anders...thing. I don't think this is similar. This is a different way of the possession. Justice was not in the Fade, they're merged. (But it's a possibility, that Justice's presence slow down the Taint's effects in Anders, or slowly eliminates that.) I don't know, how Fiona unpossessed, but I don't think, Anders would like an exorcism. He feels responsible for Justice.

Started a new human mage an remembered how much the start annoys me, specifically the first dialogue option, choose to remain silent then nigh straight away starts babbling /sigh
Anyhow only got to lvl 6 an recruited viv an sera then jumped on a lvl 15 artificer i noticed in the char list an she sitting waiting to do the last mission, guess i ran her through everything, anyhow i ended up enjoying playing artificer again so i just ended up sitting for a few hours running around doing companion quests an dragons, gotta love that artificer focus ability for destroying dragons then mines for everything else, going to jump in an do decent next, love that dlc tbh prob my fav for DA:I
