Diana did a lot of traveling. Left Orzammar for the Circle to wrap up a few quests and deliver Dagna's study application. Then on to Denerim (I don't remember why exactly) and ended up finishing Trial of Crows. Then, because I forgot about the lyrium smuggler, I had to go back to the Circle to deliver the lyrium (which I stowed in the storage chest thereby killing the quest in the journal, though you can still do it). Then back to Orzammar and Cadash Thaig so Shale could learn about herself. (And I just realized I forgot to finish the lyrium smuggler quest so I will have to back to Orzammar again ).
I think Diana is just looking for reasons to not go find the Dalish.... Still bitter about being kicked out of the clan, I guess. As a result, she has -17 approval with Alistair. It's never been that low except when I recruited Loghain.
I don't usually take an all-warrior-but-me party so the banter between Shale/Oghren and Alistair/Oghren is mostly new. I'm hearing a lot of stuff I haven't heard before.

My time spent in the DA Universe was writing summaries of my two previous Inquisitors and putting faces to the new ones. Their story lines have been rolling around in my head for a while. Found at below link. bsn.boards.net/thread/111/post-pictures-inquisitor-2?page=3&scrollTo=14780Still have Cassandra's hunky elf and my Qunari Female to make as of right now. Did I mention I was a fan of the world of Dragon Age? Oh, it was obvious?

This is a bit image heavy, I hope that isn't a problem. I put them under spoiler tags just in case.
On their way to the Horse-Master Dennet, Nate and his little party found and dealt with (or, rather, accidentally stumbled upon and nearly died in a horribly painful way while fighting desperately for their lives) the apostate stronghold as well as the templars' camp. They encountered more vicious bears, Mabari hounds, bandits, mercenaries and random people sitting around campfires (they weren't vicious, just miserable), but after a long while of running around in circles and getting lost and unlost in the woods, Nate eventually found his way to the Redcliffe farms and spoke to the Horse-Master Dennet and his wife. He agreed to help Elaina with the wolf problem - and then he stole their wine when Dennet turned his back, and some random book and a banner the couple had in their bedroom. They did not notice, of course. Upon leaving from the farms, Nate launched a surprise attack on an unsuspecting group of mercenaries holding the road, but little did he know he'd be the one who would end up surprised; despite Solas' continuing attempts of turning Nate and Cassandra into roast beef with his spells and Varric shooting his arrows everywhere but where the enemies were at, they managed to win the battle - and just when it seemed like the things were calming down, a huge bear decided to join the fun! And along with the bear came two lyrium smugglers with their stupid assassin's weapons and stealth skills. Nate and his party endured, but after their victory they were forced to flee back to the Inquisition's camp in Redcliffe farms to fill their potion supplies and to rest after an exhausting battle. Nate spent an hour or two mending his burns and glaring at Solas, and his grudge against the Elf mage just keeps growing. Solas was super talkative today, not ten minutes passed without him saying something. He was very eager to go to Val Royeaux and summon the clerics, although he didn't point out the exact reason for his enthusiasm towards the Orleasian city, he just kept talking about it and annoying Nate by commenting on every single thing they came across. Nate is a little suspicious of him, but he isn't going to say anything yet because he is not sure why he feels suspicious. He'll just watch and wait, and see if there's actually a reason to be so doubtful. Nate learned that Varric is apparently afraid of horses, and the Dwarf did not appreciate the gesture when Nate, with a smirk on his face, asked whether he'd like to ride the new horse he got from Master Dennet. In Hafter's Woods, Nate was a clumsy idiot and fell down a tall cliff, but survived the fall because of a ram that softened the fall enough to prevent any and all broken bones. The ram also survived, and Nate fed it some elfroot as thanks for saving his life while Cassandra was standing in the background and going [disgusted noise]. The ram continued to peacefully eat the grass while the party was suddenly attacked by a bear (seriously, what's with the bears?), and two lyrium smugglers, and it stayed to watch the battle go down. The ram only ran away when Nate and his friends made acquaintances with YET ANOTHER DAMN bear and three black wolves. After this tedious battle was over, Nate, having ran out of healing potions and being severely wounded and tired of fighting vicious beasts and stupid smugglers all day, gave up on exploring the Hinterlands any further, and started a return journey to the closest camp for a quick rest. Sadly, there was an unfriendly welcome waiting for the tired group in that camp: the Inquisition's agents were fighting against - you guessed it - a bear that'd approached the camp in hopes of finding something to eat. Our exhausted heroes entered the battle, but after only barely conquering the beast, Nate didn't even reach his tent before falling over and fainting. He awoke sometime later, when the night had already arrived, and together with Cassandra, Varric and Solas he decided they'd start the return journey to Haven tomorrow morning. Screw Hinterlands, the Inquisition had enough influence to call the clerics together, as Solas kindly once again reminded them all, so there was no need to stay there any longer. After Solas had mended everyone's wounds with the best of his abilities, they all went to their tents for some well-earned rest. Nate woke up to the sounds of battle the next morning; when he exited his tent in a hurry, he was greeted by a peculiar sight: Cassandra and Varric were chasing a ram across the camp area, apparently attempting to catch and kill it for breakfast. The attempt was slow and in the end unsuccessful, but at least Nate and Solas were provided some entertainment. After the breakfast, Solas saw it fit to remind Nate of his promise to Dennet's wife, to help deal with the wolves driven mad by the Breach, and Nate grudgingly agreed to clear the wolves' den before they'd leave the Hinterlands. Still sore after yesterday's battles, the group ventured towards the point Elaina had marked on their map. "If we die here and the Breach is left to grow and destroy the world because of it, I'm blaming you", Nate muttered to Solas, who only chuckled for an answer, annoying Nate even further. "I will find you and I will haunt you, in the Fade or wherever." "I do believe that, although I'd be surprised if you'd manage to accomplish such a feat." The journey to Wolf Hollow was luckily uneventful, no bandits, bears nor smugglers in sight. Solas and Varric discussed about dwarves, Orzammar and lyrium, and Solas yet again expressed his wish to travel to Val Royeaux. They entered the cave and found that the wolves were indeed controlled by a demon. They engaged in battle, and they were victorious, although it was a close call yet again. Nate dueled with the terror demon while the others took care of the wolves... and as much as it annoyed him to admit it, without Solas' aid, he would not have walked out that cave alive. It was a heavy blow against his pride to have that smug piece of elven glory save his ass and other body parts from being clawed off. "All right", Nate said to Solas after the fight was over and they'd sat down to gather their strength, and after he'd made sure Cassandra and Varric were out of earshot, "maybe you're not so bad after all..." Solas appeared surprised by this confession, and his changed expression made Nate frown quite deeply. "I still don't like you, though, so don't get any ideas", he added before Solas could even answer, and the mage nodded in amusement. "As you wish, Herald." "I have burns all over because of you, I can barely even sit." "I know, and as before, I apologise. It is difficult to avoid hitting you with my spells when you run right where I'm casting them." "Maybe you should change your focus from fire spells to something less destructive until you can actually control what and where you cast them." Solas slightly disapprovesThey left the cave to inform Elaina about the wolves no longer being a problem, but before they got very far, Nate somehow managed to fall into a hole that appeared when the ground beneath him suddenly grumbled apart. Neither Cassandra nor Solas made an attempt of helping him out of that hole, they just decided to banter about the templars instead, and Varric only stood there and stared at Nate, totally unhelpful. At that moment Nate swore he was very, very done with this stupid region and this party of idjits. He could not wait to return to Haven and get some peace. Elaina was very pleased to hear the wolves wouldn't be any further trouble. Nate also spoke with Bron, who asked him to mark few places for watchtowers to ensure the refugees' safety. Nate agreed, though he did question in his mind whether he'd never get out of these lands, new quests would always appear. They returned to the camp to restock their supplies, but before anyone could say anything, Nate took his horse and rode away to the sunset. He'd meant it when he said he was done with the Hinterlands. He would return later to complete the remaining tasks, but for now, he needed some fresh, mountain-y air. Back at Haven, Nate spoke with the merchant, the smith and the apothecary (and failed to learn anyone's names), and he also talked to Varric to told him to consider running at the first opportunity. Nate couldn't deny it to be a tempting idea, but so far, something's kept him from bolting and abandoning everyone. He wasn't sure what it was. Sense of duty? Possible, but quite unlikely. Nate questioned Varric about red lyrium, but because the Dwarf appeared uncomfortable with the subject, he quickly dropped it and walked away. He then engaged in a conversation with Solas, and as surprising as it was, they didn't disagree as much as they normally did about things. Nate curiously asked to know more about the Fade and the Breach, and Solas was more than happy to provide knowledge. Somehow Nate ended up flirting with the mage when it came to him staying and Nate protecting him against the Chantry; although he didn't exactly like Solas, he recognized his usefulness and appreciated his help, and would stop any templars from even thinking about dragging him to the Circle against his will. Solas seemed astonished and taken aback for a moment because of this sudden change of mind, and to Nate, seeing Solas speechless made that awkward flirting situation totally worth it. Next Nate will head to Val Royeaux, and we'll see what kind of mischief he manages to make there. I have a feeling it's not going to go very well, but I guess we'll see...

Kicked out? As a person who only recently played the Origins for the Dalish, how does one get kicked out? Very easily if one doesn't want to go. Diana kept arguing that she didn't want to leave the clan, so Marethari guilted her into it by pulling the "duty" card. Apparently the clan's duty to aid during a Blight only applied to Diana, since the rest of them hightailed it outta there as quickly as possible. I just PMed SporkFu about the closing of BSN and that the thread he created, the one on BSN, has moved to this location.
I haven't heard from him for a while. Last update was his computer died as did his phone, but that was a few months ago. I hope he gets back soon, or he's not gonna know what the heck happened to everyone.

He still might find out about this site. Even though the ME, DA and Legacy parts of the forum will shutdown, the SWTOR part of the forum will remain operational. Which means people will still have their account. Once he logs in, he will see the message I sent him.

"I really miss this."
Alaryn pitched a small pebble into the rolling waves before looking over at Cass. The former seeker had an air of wistful longing as she looked across the lake. "How bad is it?"
"There are times I wish I have a glib tongue like Varric's or the craft of Leliana. Times I want to pin hands to the table to get ears to listen than to have wagging frivolous tongues. There's only so much that can be done with the first charge. If I overreach, I risk a growing bastion against the authority invested in me."
"Not enough voices at the table," Alaryn said, it was more of a statement than a question. "You did get them to revise the statutes for the Circles," she added encouragingly when Cass only shook her head.
Picking up a pebble next to her on the boulder, Cass threw it hard across the water, her frustration clear in that forceful pitch. Alaryn wondered if she imagined she was hitting several someones with that pebble. "Resolving the mage question was of the first order to restore the eminence of the Chantry, they expected that. But the entrenched reactionaries are far too fond of their trappings and reins of power, they disregarded the knowledge we have gathered about lyrium, the templars, the Seekers. The deliberate omissions in Chantry history. Unless the fabric of their realm is threaten, they're perfectly content to continue to rot in the old ways."
Alaryn frowned. "Do you want Leliana to help you move more supporters to the table?"
"She gave me some names of her associates within the Chantry when it became clear I will be the Divine," Cass said.
"But do you want her to be more involved?" Alaryn persisted. "We both know she's more effective when she's personally in charge."
Cass bent her head. "I know what it cost her when Justinia asked her to return. To herself and her life. I also know Warden Commander Cousland has returned from her quest, I cannot ask her to give up her love again."
"I'm not suggesting you offer her the same position," Alaryn said patiently. "Why don't you confer with her and see what she has to say?"
"I can do that. I would like to see for myself the Hero of Ferelden. After all the effort I made in the past to find her, I deserve a chance to lay eyes on her. I do not doubt she will have much to say when she come to know of my purpose."
"You will not be disappointed," Alaryn grinned, recalling the moment she met Soleine when she arrived at Skyhold. After all that she had experienced, after meeting Hawke, her youthful imaginations and daydreams had largely dried up when it came to heroes. She had little illusions about Soleine so she was gratified to find a formidable hard-bitten warden who grasped her arm firmly with that solid stoic regard that seasoned warriors held for another.
A slight smile lifted Cass's lips before it faded away. "I will not take up too much of Leliana's attention if she agrees to help. Especially when you have a feeling about Solas."
Alayrn shrugged. "It's only a feeling."
"With you. I put much store in your feelings when they seem bad to you."
"Oh?" Alaryn cocked an eyebrow at her. "Even when it turned up a fool who sent us on a mad hare's chase across Empress du Lion?"
"How can you say that when I had the most beautiful wreath bequeathed to me?" Cass said with a straight face. They looked at each other before they burst out laughing, recalling her comical dismay when the strange disembodied voice insisted that the wreath of green leaves and white flowers had to be given to her and that she had to wear it at the hour of her greatest challenge. It hadn't stayed long on her head before she whipped it off once they were certain whoever it was had left but she hadn't thrown it away.
"Do you still have it?" asked Alaryn.
"Somewhere in my wardrobe back at Val Royeaux." Cass stretched out on the boulder and stared up at the star spangled sky. "Tell me there are no mad hares here."
Resting her chin on a raised knee, Alaryn stared dreamily at the water. "Well there's the usual mad hares of war trying to raise their god."
"It seems raising deities is very popular in the last few years," Cass remarked drolly after a heaving sigh. "Do you suppose Inquisitor Ameridan did take down this Hakkon?"
"Take down, likely. Killed it?" Alaryn shook her head. "I doubt it. Svarah is certain that Hakkon didn't die and the Hakkonites are obviously trying to get him back from where he had gone or banished. If we can find a way into that frozen fortress, we'll find our answers. Ameridan would have left something behind."
"How many Hakkonites are we facing? What about calling in more Inquisition troops?"
Alaryn shook her head. "No. We ran into groups of Hakkonites breaking into the stores of our camps and bullying the local avvar for food. They have problems with provisioning so there can't be many of them in that fortress. Besides, Stone-Bear Hold has a score to settle with the Hakkonites for what they intended to do with Storvacker."
"I can't believe they allowed a wild bear to wander about the hold as they pleased."
Alaryn chuckled. "Scout Harding has taken a shine to it. She's thinking we should get a mascot for Skyhold."
"What is she suggesting?"
"Leliana's nug?"
Cass snorted. "If it can last a day without some dwarf taking a shot at it for lunch."
Alaryn laughed.
"So what are you going to do after this matter is resolved?" Cass asked after a moment of silence.
"Honestly? I want to dissolve the Inquisition. It's getting too bloated and unwieldy. The powers that be can settle their own problems instead of bringing them to us." Alaryn shifted around so she could look at Cass. "So many applied to join after we took down Corypheus and they're still coming. Many had to be turned away but they just refused to go. They just camp further down in the valley, making a nuisance of themselves. The territories that we took are still ours because we need the space for the bodies, not for any tactical reasons."
Cass sat up. "I have not realised the Inquisition is facing such a crisis." She frowned musingly. "It will be noticed."
"I know. I'm trying to get it resolved before voices are raised from the lands the Inquisition is straddling. I really need to get it done as soon as possible. I have to."
Conferring with Scout Harding

Diana is roaming the Brecilian Forest, chatting with werewolves and talking trees. Amazing how much friendlier Zathrian's clan is to a fellow Dalish than to anyone else. Soral didn't get snarky even once.

There hasn't been much activity on the BSN Prime version of this thread, so I guess I'll stop cross-posting. Belinda, after a whirlwind courtship involving dumping buckets of slop on Josie and tossing bad cookies at Cassandra, decided that Sera was just the one for her. So Belinda brought the Red Jenny along to the Winter Palace, along with Solas and The Iron Bull. Belinda gathered evidence and foiled Coryphish's plan quickly and efficiently. She didn't much care for politics, so whoever ended up ruling Orlais -- Celene alone, as it turned out -- was more or less by accident. She was going to let Florianne assassinate Celene, since Gaspard at least had understandable motives, to a former merc anyway, but the look on Sera's face when she suggested it took that plan right off the table. Fortunately, Belinda had uncovered enough evidence to incriminate Gaspard. She argued against execution however and let the old soldier go into exile. Much more to her interest was Sera and her working the grand ball. Even though Belinda very much wanted to dance with Sera, she respected her "that's not me" wishes and instead, the two did their best to empty the Empress's wine cellar. This is going in my signature: IQ: Sera, dance with me. Sera: (laffs an ru srs laff?) I don't ... You be careful, or I will absolutely stomp your pinky. IQ: Is that innuendo? Sera: (laffs) No, it's at the front!WTF? Huh? What is Sera talking about? ..... OOoooooh ... LMAO! Sera hears "innuendo?" as "in your end, or?"

So, when Zathrian introduced himself, he said he was keeper and hahren. Aren't they supposed to be two different people? Keepers are leaders who try to keep the lore of the clan safe. The hahren are the oldest of the clan who are storytellers and guide the children, they usually defer to the Keeper. I guess Zathrian is saying he's the leader and the oldest.

And another thing I just thought of.....I don't really see any other "older" members in his clan. Weird. Soral is the storyteller though, but maybe not old enough to be hahren?

Perhaps the hahren before Soral was killed by werewolves or died in some incident. None of the party has any significant insight regards Dalish clans to pose any question.

Elaria Lavellan triumphed against the Emissary Alpha in the Deep Roads. On the 11 bajillionth attempt.
I don't mind really hard battles (and I was on nightmare, so...fair enough) but the lack of even an autosave as you progress through the darkspawn waves was...frustrating.
Rewarding when over though. Turns out I needed the Inquisitions resident Ice queen. The firebrand inquisitor wasn't doing the business.

Finished up with the Dalish. Got Zathrian to end the curse. I didn't get Cammen's quest since Diana told him, "Don't wish you could hunt; just do it!" and that killed off any more dialogue. Oh well, he can hunt now so hopefully he gets the girl. She accepted Athras' quest to find Danyla but then didn't find her (I avoided that area of the forest). When Diana went back to tell him she didn't find anything, he decided to head off into the forest to look for himself. I don't think I ever got that part before, likely because I never went back to talk to him if I didn't find her, so hopefully she was de-cursed with the rest of the werewolves. Given how much pain she's in if you talk to her, though, she may have killed herself off-screen. Ugh, I hate that quest, which is why I skipped it this time.
Shale is very fun to have around. I usually only take her on the Deep Roads but since I've got a tiny party this time, I'm taking her everywhere. She really wanted to squish Zathrian's head after finding out he misled them, and also later when he was being a stubborn old man. Oghren actually disapproved of ending the curse since he wanted to kill Zathrian too. And now that Oghren knows Shale used to be a real dwarf, he's totally flirting with her.
Next up is to head back to Redcliffe and see if anyone is still alive. I'm sure Teagan will be so happy to see Diana again.

After completing WEWH and returning to Skyhold, I ran into a serious bug I've never seen before. If I went anywhere near Cullen's room, even on the bridge or rampart, even just opening the door from Solas's room, the game went haywire. All the Inner Circle characters disappeared, most of the "clutter" (non-interactive 3d objects) disappeared, the maps disappeared (going into either map mode showed a black background), and even the sound of opening the ESC menu disappeared. I couldn't fast travel, save, or load a game. Even some of the 3d architecture disappeared. This is what happened when I opened the door to Josie's room and ran in: I checked if it was the too many pending judgments bug, no, I cleared all those. I checked if it was the leaving Cullen's door open bug, no, all closed. Belinda ended up talking to everyone except Cullen and then moving on to help Solas with his friend. . Oh, and I did a little tinting. testscreenies.wordpress.com/2016/08/12/belinda-tinting-with-hats/Clicking on any image goes to a slideshow, then on the bottom you can click on the full size version.

Rescue and expend resources to save Blackwall. If he wasn't a good tank in the game, I'd let him suffer.

::sniff:: Diana found Tamlen. Or, rather, he found her.
In other news, unhelped Redcliffe is a lonely place. The only person left when you get there is Teagan, and he's wounded and unconscious in the Chantry. Also, very mad once you revive him. At the castle, along with the normal undead, there are a bunch of "corpse of [insert name here]" to fight. I saw Tomas, Mother Hannah, Lloyd, Bella, Murdock, and Ser Perth.
To help Connor, Diana decided to go to the Circle since, even were she willing to go along with Jowan's plan, she was no mage. Nor was anyone else besides Jowan, so they couldn't pursue his idea anyway. Sadly, this isn't a dialogue option you can bring up. Irving did the Fade thing.
Afterwards, they trekked to Denerim to try to find Brother Genitivi but instead found some imposter trying to steer them wrong. They killed him after he attacked, then found out where Genitivi was really going. Just to be on the safe side, they stopped by The Spoiled Princess to see what might be waiting for them and took out a group of crazed dragon cultists who were waiting to ambush them.
Next stop: Haven

In judgement I usually set him free to atone for his sins. What are the outcomes in Trespasser if you enslave him or turn him over to the Wardens? Not sure about enslaving, but the result of keeping him a Warden depends on whether you romance him or not. If you romance him he dies. If you don't romance him then he remains in the Wardens doing pretty much the same thing as if he's set free, except he's a Warden for real now. Also, if you don't do Revelations at all, he doesn't appear in Trespasser but apparently turns himself in regardless and is most likely executed. Edit: OMG, these spoiler tags are a mess. I think I'll just stick to doing them manually
