Screw loose ends. Started What Pride Had Wrought, moving on so I can get this character into Trespasser. Like to see how the Josephine romance pans out.

I think I might start a nightmare run to get the last few trophies I need to get the platinum trophy for Inquisition. Have never played nightmare difficulty on any of the DA games though so it should be pretty interesting. If anyone has any good tips for nightmare difficulty I'd be open to hearing them, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Leonie (Orlesian Warden) is getting settled into Vigil's Keep. Got the meet and greet with the local nobles out of the way, recruited Nate Howe, rescued some girl from bandits, and made her first visit to the capital, Amaranthine. Picked up some leads on where darkspawn might be nesting or otherwise causing trouble, met a Circle mage named Wynne, and paid some shady character to dig up dirt on who's out to get her.
At the meet and greet, Lord Guy, who turns out to be one of the conspirators, got a bit too drunk and mouthed off. Leonie told Varel to think up a suitable punishment as a warning (just realized I have no idea what happened to him; I wonder if he's in the dungeon.... )
Next up: Knotwood Hills to look for darkspawn

(Romanced Morrigan in DA:O) Today in DA:I had a great conversation with Morrigan about the Hero of Ferelden (met their son as well). Turns out the Hero couldn't come assist the Inquisition because he's off seeking a way to reverse The Calling. Still surprised at how often I'm surprised by DA:I.

The easiest, at least for me, is playing as a mage. The hardest part is Haven just before Corypheus shows up. Once past that, it's not bad. I chose the Knight Enchanter specialization. 2 spells I invest as early as possible is energy barrage and dispel. Dispel really helps when dealing with closing rifts and facing mages. Look to get the fade-touched item that give guard when hit. Silverite, iron and obsidian provide that. As a mage, I used Cassandra, Dorian and Sera. I got to the point I was over powered that I was able to do a lot of the quests solo. Even when fighting dragons.

I figured Knight Enchanter would be a good choice due to the survivability of the specialization. The assault on Haven is the one part I'm not looking forward to, but after that it should get easier.

Spent the evening fighting through the Arbor Wilds finishing off Corypheus. This Inquisitor was the third one of mine dumb enough to drink from the Well. (Adaar wanted power, Trevelyan wanted knowledge, Lavellan just wanted the truth about her people.) At least she'll get to skip a fight or two in Trespasser?
After publically supporting Cassandra, she was shocked when Vivienne became the Divine. I was not, though, since she conscripted the mages and kept Celene on the throne. This is what you get for suggesting that mages should be allowed in the Chantry, Trevelyan.
Tomorrow: if I don't feel like taking a break for a day or so, I'll start on Jaws of Hakkon.

Okay, Belinda is level 15, about 3/4's of the way to 16. I want to go for the Even Ground achievement and beat on the Fereladan Frostback when she's level 16. So in the meantime, Belinda will go Great Bear hunting on the frozen Elfsblood. Like that's been super successful for me in the past ...

The journey of Warden Commander Drako Amell, The Hero of Ferelden: (DA:O, DA:A, and Witch hunt) The Chronicles of Tyros Hawke, Champion of Kirkwall: The Journey continues, Spoke with Varric and Issy in the Hanged Man today. They agree that leaving Kirkwall would be the best option. It's just getting too hairy around this town. BUT... there is always a but... Work has already started on the ship. Renovations will take some time to complete, so for the moment, we're stuck. Gives me time to find a fair offer for the Bone Pit and pull as much coin as we can out of this city before we leave. Not sure if I should take Gamlen with me or not.. Gamlen? Damn... I should go check on him. Haven't seen him in months... ...As I'm heading for Low Town, a woman stops me and asks if I'm the Champion of Kirkwall. I dismiss her as another odd ball fan, but she claims to be the sister of a Warden. He and his fellows went into the Deep Roads following the path my Expedition took. They've been gone for a long time and she's worried about them. Not sure why. They're Wardens. Marching into the Deep Roads is what they do, but her tears were hard to say no to. Some time away from the city might be just what I need right now. So I agree to go look for Warden Howe then continue on to Low Town to see Uncle Gamlen. Who isn't home... I head to the Hanged Man instead to collect Varric and Issy when the oddest thought crossed my mind... Wonder if Gamlen was one of the charred corpses in the pit... But no. He always took Bear with him when he went to the Pit for his deliveries... ...We didn't have to go very deep into the Deep Roads. Seems the Wardens were ambushed by Darkspawn only a days journey in. We find Howe, but only Howe. He was separated from the rest of his expedition in the attack. He explains his interest in the Thiag and then asks for our help in looking for survivors. Again, we didn't have to go far. Save a lone Dwarf, his fellows where wiped out. After we cleared the Darkspawn Nathaniel decided to give up and turn back. Not sure how to feel about being able to reach depths in the Deep Roads that even the Wardens can't reach. Proud I suppose? According to Anders, the Wardens can "sense" darkspawn and they can in turn "sense" Grey Wardens. Not sure what "sense" means, but apparently the Wardens are Darkspawn magnets... Maybe it's a keen sense of smell? Darkspawn kind of smell like socks that haven't been washed in a long time. Yes... The wardens hunt Darkspawn by following the smell of sweaty feet. That's the big secret... ...We all get back to Kirkwall and say farewell to Howe. Issy and I head to the Blooming Rose for a night of depravity. Got to enjoy the small things. I do believe this city would have ripped itself apart if not for places like the Blooming Rose and the Hanged Man. The rest of Kirkwall just melts away for a few precious hours. But you better be able to pay your bill at the end or you'll be limping away missing certain... fleshy bits. I'll go check on Gamlen tomorrow... assuming no more Grey Wardens need rescuing from Darkspawn... ...I did find Gamlen at home this time. Had a little chat. Seems the old man is proud of me. Wasn't sure how to take that, but my attention was drawn away by a note on his table. Something about a "Gem of Keroshek"? I asked him about it, but it only made him mad. His reactions was so strange I just had to go looking into it. The search leads me all over Kirkwall to find the the master mind of this little treasure hunt. We follow half baked clues, fight off mercenaries, and wander the whole of Kirkwall... got bit by a dog too... All to find that it's a long lost daughter of Gamlen's trying to get daddy's attention. She could have just knocked on the door of his... Low Town... Hovel... Yeah... No... That wouldn't work. Gamlen reacted well enough. He once said that he thought he would be the end of the Amells in Kirkwall. Not sure where this is going to lead with Charade, but I think they will be good for each other... ...I'm exhausted. I have claw marks and bite marks. Most of them are from Isabella, but still... Now I have a cousin?... A nice quiet evening at home would be nice... While I'm preparing a drink for myself, Bodahn approaches to ask to leave my service. He lists his concerns about his age and Sandel's future, but I think he can sense what I do. Trouble is coming. It's going to be bad. I pour him a drink as well and we sit by the fire place watching the flames. I share with him my intent to leave as well and that I would set aside some coin for him and Sandel when we part ways... Dark days are coming and everyone can feel...

I'm going to start my nightmare playthrough right about now and finally play a Qunari Inquisitor. I can't wait to see what the American female voice is like since I usually stick to the British voice acting. Don't know if I'm going to do any of the romances though, I kind of want to see what a romance-free playthrough is like.

Haven't been playing because I'm on vacation.
I tried showing Sarcastic Hawke video to me sister. I did get her to laugh at "bunch of boneless women flopping around."
The rest was surprisingly contextual.

Just tooling around the Frostback Basin today. Closed a few rifts, killed a few Hakkonites. Most exciting thing I did was craft my Inquisitor's final armor set. Griffon Robes made with Fade-Touched Highever Weave for that sweet Magic boost every time she kills something. Which is often, as a Knight-Enchanter with an aggressive build. I'm pretty sure she kills more things than Cole because she doesn't have to walk over to people in order to hurt them. (Also, she falls unconscious a lot less. Sorry, Cole, Vivienne seems to deliberately avoid forcefielding you .)

I always thought that happened because she wasn't an elf. But apparently she was supposed to understand them?

Greed finished Doom Upon All the World. He took Dorian (LI), Sera and Cass with him to fight Corypheus. Should've maybe taken Varric instead of Cass, not because they were weak or so, but I had to learn that being a warrior, without Grappling Chain in the skill bar, is very disadvantageous when you want to fight an old Magister, who keeps sitting out of reach. After the fight, they went back to Skyhold and Greed had a little chat with Leliana. This line made me laugh. Greed and Dorian Softened Leliana is Divine, Cass will rebuild the Seekers, Cullen wants to help Lyrium addicted Templars. Celene has some problems with Gaspard, same with Briala...uh well. After the after credit scene Greed talked to everyone a last time and hearing/reading this made me so happy. Next: Trespasser

You need to take the "Try to speak acient elfish" option, but it only works if you drank from the Well.

Started a Solas-mance. I haven't yet heard what all it will entail, but I am enjoying seeing a frail little elf wildly swinging about a huge two handed club/axe/sword.

Went to Emprise du Lion to farm some Heal on Hit Fade-Touched Snoufleur Skin. Have now 298 pieces of Snoufleur Skin, not a single FT piece yet. Edit: Finally! And it only took me 363 normal Snoufleur Skin till I got one FT Heal on Hit Snoufleur Skin.

My nightmare playthrough is going well so far, right now I have Cassandra go in to draw the enemy's attention first before my Inquisitor starts attacking. Took a break before beating the prologue though so I still have the first pride demon fight to get through which hopefully will go well. I decided to go with a two-handed warrior for my quizzy, her specialization will be Champion so she has a little more survivability. Also I'm really liking the female American voice so far.
