I had that problem when playing a bombs-away! Artificer rogue. So.Many.Explosions. are very pretty but also very crash-y. That was the build that let me take down the Highland Ravager on Nightmare in about 30 seconds. I was very disappointed it was so easy. ^ Reminds me of playing the original ME1 with Pinnacle station, at one point my game didn't like that I had a +10min score on one of the hold-out portions and promptly crashed my game as if to say "there's still people in danger in this (ME)universe, stop wasting time on holographic geth when there's real geth to be fought" It should happen in ME3 in Armax Arsenal Arena. That's where you truly waste your time hone your skills

I decided to skip The Winter Palace today and just go around and clear a little of Exalted March. A friend suggested an elementalist build and if I am engaged with enough enemies at once it will crash the game. Not sure why but I am just not looking forward to doing the Wicked Eyes quest at The Winter Palace. Yeah Wicked Eyes is probably my least favouriet DAI quest as well. All tha tsneakin garound trying t ogathr evidence isn't really good fun. I prefer the moer action focused quests such as sealing rifts and what have you. I'm often quite glad once I've got it done and out of the way. I know you hav t odoi tin order to move the story on given it's a main story quest but it's not my favourite.

I forgot to mention before I picked the Knight-Enchanter specialization for it fit how I was playing the game. For I was throwing out the cluster mines as my primary damage dealers. Now while playing the build I did pick it turns out if you get it just right I can hit with a mine for 15,000 damage which was something I saw semi-regularly while completing Mythal's Temple over the last couple of days.
So right now from the original release I have Emerald Graves, Emprise du Lion, and Hissing Wastes, and the final battle with Corypheus left. Achievement wise I have completed a lot of them or they are pretty obvious to complete. The only one that I have questions about where to complete is fighting the promoted bears, but I will look closer into that later probably just before I start Tresspasser.

Thanks, I wish there was a counter on the PC to know if I have encountered any so far. For I saw a few places saying things like Hinterlands doesn't give credit to the achievement and some bears in Emprise don't either.

I replayed DA2. Then I realized something. Sandal is connected to a Titan (hence why he can use magic and has visions), which means there's a Titan watching the main events of Thedas through his eyes.
Said Titan watched the HoF's and Hawke's journeys, but not the Inquisitor's. How many dwarves are there like Sandal, silently watching the world for the Titans and intervening when necessary at key historical moments?
And if they're watching...don't they know what Solas is doing? Will they intervene if he tries to reshape reality? And given how powerful Sandal is...won't they go into an epic magical fight with Solas and his army to stop him?

I finished the base content for Dragon Age: Inquisition today. I started this playthrough back in September and slowly worked my way through the game. I still have all three DLC's to complete. I have beaten Corypheus, but rolled back to a save just before that so the consequences from that fight won't have an impact on Jaws of Hakkon and The Descent.

Been playing few days now. I think this is playthrough .. #8 ? Mage Human Male Knight-Enchanter. A funny thing happened on Solas's mission The black wolf started attacking... HIM. None other than him. Then meanwhile Blackwall and Cole tried to kill it. Massive skirmish around us while we just talked, albeit a bit heated talk.

I am still working my way through Jaws of Hakkon, I think I have the majority of quests done there. Currently I am just about to enter the valley and do some of the questing there. While Jaws of Hakkon feel like an improvement to the base game, I am still having a hard time staying motivated to play. I am still trying to find exactly what about the game really breaks my interest in the game. As far as I can tell its the traversal and how monotonous it is for me combined with a lot "why didn't that work" in combat.

Of the DLC yeah, I did one run at release and then a quick rush for the difficulty achievement after that. After that I didn't could get past The Hinterlands (according to my character select screen I had 16 playthroughs that only had a couple of hours). I just finished Trespasser today.

As I mentioned above, I finished all the content for Inquisition today. I started my playthrough back at the start of September and finished six and a half months later. For my tastes I think Trespasser was the best content of the game, I would have liked less lulls in the experience for having a little more combat might have increased my engagement while it was better then other areas of the game. If anything I think that was a reaction to the negativity towards enemies jumping into combat with Dragon Age 2, but like other problems I have with a BioWare game I think they went too far in their change.
Edit: Just to add. I was thinking this was going to be my final playthrough of Inquisition, but I am tempted to go back as a Dalish Mage. The difference will be that it will be more of a speed game where I might use mods to remove some of my issues with the overall product much like I did with Bethesda games.

Perhaps an MTX griffin would help alleviate the monotonous traversal grind ... LOL When I played Star Wars TOR for free years ago, I did not mind paying for an MTX "speedster" to reduce long traversal times. However, I would not be happy with DA4 having an MTX griffin or horse, after paying full price for the game. I recall that you mentioned previously that Anthem did not have significant MTX "rip-offs", and that the fear of excessive MTX in DA4 may be irrational and overblown. I hope you are right. However, I still "fear" that EA will not give up on the easy MTX nickel and dime money (while ignoring the potential customer backlash). Based on extensive EA history, I suspect that the EA tiger cannot change its "quick money" stripes, and there by potentially disappoint shareholders that value short term profit over long term gain.

They already have a mount and it makes the travel grind worse. At least for me it feels like I am going slower then walking. Not having MTX goes back to the time of Need for Speed Heat and Jedi: Fallen Order where neither of them had MTX. Aside from the sports games I am not sure if there has been a game from EA that has MTX since Anthem.

Not having MTX goes back to the time of Need for Speed Heat and Jedi: Fallen Order where neither of them had MTX. Aside from the sports games I am not sure if there has been a game from EA that has MTX since Anthem. I recall that the DAI mount speed was limited by the old consoles. EA will no longer be limited by the old consoles (this time Psss-4 and X-Bone), and "could" do an MTX mount that would reduce travel grind ... for a price. I am under the impression that EA did not have enough time to shove MTX into Jedi: Fallen Order. EA completed the acquisition of Respawn Entertainment in Dec 2017, and Jedi: Fallen Order released in Apr 2019. Would 16 months have been enough time to shoehorn MTX into Fallen Order? I think that would have been tough, and even EA would have realized that would likely be a disaster. Of course EA had Need for Speed for 15 years when Heat was released in 2019 (without predatory MTX??). Also, Anthem was released in 2019 (also without predatory MTX??). Perhaps EA has learned something since 2019, and conceded that DA4 can be sufficiently profitable without predatory MTX. However since 2011 (DA2), EA has put thir faith in short term profit. Could EA realy have changed?

So I got Horizon Forbidden West, a game I've been anticipating for years, on release and played it obsessively for about two weeks, thoroughly enjoying every aspect of it, before impulsively starting a new game of DAII. You know, a game I haven't played in months. In the middle of playing a new game for the first time. Why am I like this. Anyway, I've been playing a purple Hawke for the first time and it's really fun! I totally get the fandom's obsession with purple Hawke now. Her name is Jo and she's romancing Isabela Today I finished MoTA. I didn't care for it the first time, so I didn't think I would play it again, but I did, and surprised myself with how much I enjoyed it. I'm still salty that we never got to see Tallis again. I need to stop getting so attached to DLC characters (looking at you, Velanna, Sigrun, Finn...) Oh, and I'm finally reading Tevinter Nights. I'm about halfway through it. Actually, it's what inspired me to abandon Aloy and go running back to Dragon Age. I think this video game franchise owns my soul now. Whoops.

Yeah I kind of started a new run o fDAI as seeing the trailers for Forspoken kind of put me in the mood for DAI I'm kind of only playing a little bit her eand a little bit there in he background. As I'm primaril ybus ywith other games and I'm nort suer whether I'll press on wit hthis playthrough all the way yet given how many times I'v played it. I'm not far into the game yet though as I'm still recruitin geveryone. Personally looking forward to Forbidden West when it comes to PC but until Forspoken there's nothing really catching my eye atm. Well there is but none with confirmed release dates. Forspoken is the first one I have my eye on that has one. I'm hoping they reveal a release date soon for Star Trek Resurgence though. Especially given IGN are covering it atm it would be the perfec time to reveal it given we only have a release window of Spring 2022 atm.

I am a little tempted to go back to the game with an Dalish Mage for it seems that is what fits best into the role BioWare designed, but I am not sure if I am able to play the game again. It would be my fourth playthrough, but I find Inquisition to be a slog at the best of times. If I go back, I am probably going to play a slightly modded game to at the very least improve crafting and max out my character from the start. That way I can focus on the quests and story.

I finally made a male dwarven Inquisitor with a look I was satisfied with. Really unique and characterful, and very fitting for a reformed rough-and-tough Cadash thug. Decided to go Sword-and-Shield and focus on maces (recently realized that blunt weapons are way more satisfying in most games since attack animations invariably only have you bashing the enemies and sending them staggering anyway) with an eye on adopting the Reaver specialization when the time comes. And the very start of the game went well. It's the first Inquisitor I've ever made that needed to be actively convinced to help trying to save the world, since the Carta method is to duck your head and lay low when things get too hot, not stand out in front and claim that you're gonna fix everything. And the beginning of the game lends itself very well to presenting a reluctant savior with an environment that might convince them to go all-in. I feel like every playthrough I like Cassandra even better, and this time she struck me as particularly inspiring with her strength and determination and initiative while still trying to remain grounded and aware of her limits. It's not hard to imagine my Cadash ending up falling in love with her down the line in spite of my vague disinclination toward mixed-race/species/whatever romances, both for being who she is and for raising him from the gutter to become a hero alongside her. Cullen, Leliana, Scribbles, Solas and Varric are all impressively resolute in seeing this as an existential challenge that they have no choice but to rise to, and it's easy to see a confounded dwarf of action yanked way out of his element being swept up in their enthusiasm and the glory of fighting for something besides a bigger cut for himself. Making the rounds at Haven and talking to them was very refreshing for once, with this mindset. ...Of course, then the game set in. Five minutes into the Hinterlands I was already tempted to switch off the PS4 and go do something else instead. As Sanunes rightly points out, this game is and has always been a slog. The charms of the open world aspect are completely lost on me three playthroughs in with a much more crowded schedule than I used to have, and the combat is as weird and wonky and uninspired as always even with my handy mace. And on top of that even the deeper male voice sounds absolutely nothing like a former street thug, so I'm constantly preparing to cringe every time the PC opens his mouth no matter which dialogue options I opt for. If I keep going, I'll definitely be bee-lining for the story and important character moments and not paying too much attention to side quests and whatnot. Otherwise I'm seriously considering just striking Inquisition off from my personal DA canon and sticking to Origins and II for future playthroughs, as I've been tempted to restart from Origins three or four times while gathering steam to just give Inquisition another go. And at this point I couldn't care less about DA4. It's most likely going to be garbage anyway. After playing through Kotor 1 again, part of me would much rather give up on modern Bioware and just try to remember it as it used to be. ...Yeah, the first session of Branson Cadash's adventure was a bit of a rollercoaster.

A few days ago, I had an aggressively stupid idea that refused to vacate my head until I did something about it, so today in DA I attempted to recreate my canon Inquisitor in DAO and my canon Warden in DAI. Between screwing around in the CC, playing with mods, and struggling to take good screenshots in DAO, it took more effort than I thought it would. I'm not planning to continue playing with either of them, but it could be interesting to see how my Inquisitor handles being a Warden and how my Warden tackles leading the inquisition. Idk. Sounds like too much work right now! Anyway, here's the results: Inquisitor to WardenWarden to Inquisitor
These screenshots don't really do it justice, but I have to say I'm quite pleased with my Warden's hair. It's almost exactly the same except the part is on the opposite side in Inquisition.

Is anyone else planning to play their canon Inquisitor again when we get a release date for DA4?

Is anyone else planning to play their canon Inquisitor again when we get a release date for DA4? No concrete plans, but I am thinking of making a new canon Inquisitor if I go again. First I am going to go to The Keep and set my canon Warden and Hawke if I do that.
