The only two things I want for CC is better hair and makeup for all. Since they're saying they're learning from previous titles I hope they take the different hairstyles that other titles have in mind but bioware tends to have bad hair anyways. So I'm not hoping too much. Well one day I hope it gets to the point where everyone has access to makeup, beards and whatever. I really do not get the whole binary gender restriction in the CC, Saints Row all the way I say. When creating male characters, I always appreciate when games give me the option to use makeup. Oftentimes, it seems like men look a bit washed out or flat and they come to life a bit if I give them some natural-looking blush, some shade to their eyelids, and some color to their lips. Beards for females? Not really my thing, but I also wouldn't want to see anyone restricted from creating such a character if they choose to so... sure!

In DAI female dwarves could get stubbles...we're getting there.

I just want a way to customize the height and body physique
not going to happen, but it would be nice to have those options Thats very high on my wish list but I doubt this will happen. The strange thing is, the devs always say varying player heights can cause all sorts of problems with animations and especially in cinematics, thats why they don't include it in games - yet in DA:I it was possible to play a short dwarf as a well as tall Qunari - and it worked just fine for the most part. And people loved it. I don't get it, this is the year 2017 and we still can't even choose from three fixed body types.

Hair needs to be better. I just spent way too long trying to make an Inquisitor in DAI to replay through the game... and my God, it's worse than I remembered. I think it's actually worse than any previous game in recent Bioware history. What were they thinking? It's mostly horrible looking buzzcuts, and not much else.

I think it's actually worse than any previous game in recent Bioware history. What were they thinking? It's mostly horrible looking buzzcuts, and not much else. It must definitely be worse... Possibly the worst I've ever seen. I remember scrolling desperately to and fro between the "options" when DAI came out, hoping it is some sort of a silly bug that will go away... because, you know, no hair, no hair, ugly hair, even less hair... where are all the hairstyles that, actually include some hair? Surely they will turn out somewhere if I frown at the CC menacingly for a while... Hair can make a break a character for me, no matter how hard I try with other options in the CC, the hairstyle always completes the face. Hopefully we won't get another assortment of monstrosities in MEA (There are tons of decent hairsyles in mods all over the internet. Would it kill the devs to make, like, five?). Not holding my breath, though. And bracing for the worst, as the thin ponytail isn't too impressive.

Different body types are why Cullen's romance ended up race-gated. I agree that those costs ought to be paid, though.

I know it would be expensive, anything that involves animations is, but this has always been a very popular wish among fans of Mass Effect since...forever. Since Dragon Age Origins people wanted to have Qunari as playable race, in Inquisition Bioware finally included them. And people loved it. I think its freaking high time for Mass Effect to get some serious upgrades in the Character Creator to make it more interesting and a more personal experience - naturally including at least the ability to choose from some different body types. Yes, I think that would be money well spent, especially since more and more games include this feature.

It's just a plastic wig and pokes through your ears unless you put your ears in really unnaturally low positions. And that lighting in the CC. So awful. That thing was a crime.

The only thing I want is lighting representative of various in-game lighting models. Outdoors, indoors, morning, noon, evening, night, campfire... Oh, and some facial animations I can play to check if my Ryder's teeth aren't sticking through their lips when they emote (looking at you, weird DA:I crooked grin).

Moving hair, though! I just wish we can customize features this time. In MET you have to choose a predetermined nose, mouth, etc. I want to be able to create more than necromorphs this time!!

We ain't military anymore, Bioware. Gimme some unkempt shaggy hair.
Anyway, considering how frequently people have asked for more diverse hairstyles over the years, I'm beginning to wonder why they still haven't managed to come up with a satisfactory selection. And they keep taking them away too. Like, they should leave the hairstyles from the previous games in. This is especially annoying when you're trying to recreate your DAII character in Inquisition. He can't feasibly look anything like he did in the last game.
Also, Bioware has the most disgusting beards. Half the time they don't even manage to be the same color as my character's hair, and the other half of the time they're just a fake beard sitting on top of my character's face with some spray-painted stubble underneath.

Dang... after seeing that, anything else is just going to be disappointing That system looks impressive but from experience it's a nightmare to use. Also it's an old school MMO so they don't need to worry about those characters animating in cut scenes and they never speak or have complex facial expressions.

Why is it a nightmare to use? Anything closer to this CC they have in BD should be seen as an improovement by Bioware IMO. So much variety, detail, life, colours, tatoos, clothes, expression, lighting, make up....well, we don't really need all that in a Mass Effect for it to be great but why not aim to achieve the best possible? And do'nt tell me they don't have the money

And do'nt tell me they don't have the money Because when you make subtle changes it's fine but it;s far too easy to make something horrible. A lot of the player made character in that game also look very similar, it looks like you have a lot of control but they're really only subtle changes. The only major thing in that system is the hair and even that has limits to what it can achieve. Don't get me wrong, some stuff in that system is awesome, it's just a total pain in the behind to get anything decent out of it. Yes the colours, tattoos, lighting, and clothes options are fantastic but clothes are just armour in that game. Again I'll also stress again it's fine for BD because those characters don't do anything complicated with their faces. Again it's fantastic but honestly as someone who's used both I think the Saints Row character creator is still the best one I've used and I'd like to see BioWare go in that direction. Trust me the video of this CC system is far more impressive than actually using it, though that might just be me. I think the game has a 7 day free trial so you could always download it and give it a go, you might get more out of it than I did.

I never understood why Bioware has such a difficult time with hairs, while the players themselves create many hair mods. It has been 2 years since DAI, hopefully, the devs learned how to use Frostbite more.

All the MEA aliens known so far have no hair. Krogans, Turians, Asari, Kett and Angara. I would suggest keeping expectations low:
