How about the ability to import my character's face when I start a new game?
How about being able to tweak my char's face during game play? => remember the Black Emporium?
How about man hair in funny places?
How about trimmed hair on head of Ryder that I can spell a word.
How about body elasticity?

I want hair, lots of hair, not x variants of baldness, as it was the case in DAI.
Plus face codes. But mostly hair.

I recognise it may be really hard, but I like it when a face has a 'face-code' like ME3 then I can recreate my character. Even better if that can carry over. I'm shite at creating the character I want, so I'd appreciate the ability to "borrow" someone else's when they share it online. A face-code would be nice.

Other than the disappointing hair options, DAI probably has my favorite CC right now. Destiny is an interesting example here, because it hardly feels like a character creator, what with the few presets it has (though oddly I've yet to come across an unhelmeted guardian that looks like mine). At least it has more interesting hair.
Oh, I guess better hair, because hair. I share others' desire for face codes, but I wonder how well that can work here.

Mainly what I'd like to see for the CC would be improvements in hair, I feel like Inquisition was a step in the right direction but Bioware can continue to improve on it. I hope there's a lot of customization options, and the ability to share face codes again would be nice too.

Aside from the things already mentioned *coughhaircough* (and I think I already said this in an older thread, so forgive me repeating myself) but I would like more diversity in complexions and skin details. For instance, one of my favourite things out of the Fallout 4 CC was the pigmentation options. They were really cool and different and allowed for some very distinctive looking characters.

I don't have a lot of problem with hair.. so long as it isn't too pixellated.
Eyes are more important too me, they need to seem more alive and I would like a normal range of colours than the whole spectrum we could use in DA:I.

Considering all hopes for good hair are already lost, my number 1 wish is be able to change the chacter AFTER the game started. Like the mirror thing from DA2 and DAI. This tool is just too useful to be left out because of logic.

- A friggin' save function for my created character (a facecode system or something like that). Don't want to create my character to hear afterwards that you have to take screenshots and you have no idea what you chose the first time you created your character - overworked Make up - the colors looked off/thick mostly although you could scale the transparency, you had very limited eyeshadow/eyeliner options, freckles would be nice etc. - face mimics/shadow & light options so that you can see how your character would actually look ingame with the different lightning. For example morning/afternoon/evening/night - if there is something like weather or time changing scripts. Or things like rain, snow or campfire. - A colorwheel for hair - Maybe some equip/weapon options to see how you could look throughout the game - some armor, some casual clothing, big guns or pistols - maybe some body animations like running, jumping, waving etc. - overworked sliders - they were okay in DAI but felt limited especially for mouths, eyes and cheeks - in my opinion. Maybe I was to dumb to scale the right way. Could be.
Edit: I hope I see no things from Fallout 4 character creator especially the hair and make up - mods saved that thing.

What i agree with: - "Refinement Box" (or whatever it's officially called)
- Tattoos - should be an option now since our character is likely not backed by an underground organization who's obsessed over the cosmetic.
- Hair variety - agreed. More choices would be good. Because if there's anything i'd like, is as many hair variety as i'll have playthroughs. And i do a lot of playthroughs.
The few thing(s) missing: - Character codes - a lot of people have asked for this and i think it should be fairly doable. Even if they're long, it would allow for players to share them online and even mimic some favorites because, in all honesty, not everyone's great in making faces the way you want. Me included. I just go… crosseyed trying.
- Body shape - while i'm not expecting the entire Saints Row range of options, i think the Body Shape slider, even if limited to "military fit" would be great, if for anything, to show the company's not into body shaming. Large, petite, any shape's a good shape.
- Basic hairstyles - i applaud BioWare's desire for immersion, providing hairstyles to the players that will match the times, but i think a basic set of hair styles that, in general, are seen in all games. This way, not only do we have "safe" options if this is what fits us better, we'll also have their options if want the additional immersion.
- Outfit styling - it would be nice if there was an option to choose between types of stylings. I know i'm usually good with the basic options but i think people would like it if occasionally they could play someone who's more fashionable, or accessorizes, or likes tight-fitting outfits. Or even relaxed looking outfits. The last's my preference but the other options would also be good to reflect the world's interest in how they wear clothing.

Nice vid! I usually think vids like that are overkill, since the script could as easily be read as listened too, but you used good visual examples to make your points. Okay, my wishlist. I spend hours in the CC, so a lot of my asks are quality-of-life improvements. In priority order: - CC save button. The old-fashioned "face code" is better than nothing, but you still had to screenshot it. Why not just have a save button in the CC settings? If for no other reason than if your game crashes on the first cutscene after finishing CC and before the first auto-save, as happened to me in DAI over and over again, you waste hours of people's time.
- Independent CC export file. Have an option to import/export a human readable text file that people can share or tweak with community-based tools. Saint's Row 3 (SR3) had something like this. In fact ...
- Standalone CC experience/app. Release the CC as a free app independently, weeks before the actual game comes out (again, SR3 did this). With the ability to import a CC file (item 2 above), there's no reason for the CC experience to be built into the game itself. Harness all that pre-release excitement and get people's creativity flowing in the run up to release, not to mention up-sell people on the fence. This would also allow CC adjustments mid-run without having to have any sort of in-game "mirror of transformation/plastic surgeon" investment.
- Body shape settings. Give us a bit of customization for height and weight (girth/musculature). SR3 had a triangle-slider, where the points were STRONG, FAT, THIN. The FAT/THIN dimension is obvious, but the STRONG/FAT and STRONG/THIN had to do with muscle to fat ratios. So the mid-point of the STRONG/THIN side looked like a marathon runner, while the mid-point of the STRONG/FAT line looked like a WWE wrestler.
- More lighting/scene previews. The preview for the DAI CC was terrible. Neutral lighting is one thing, but the background color and luminosity are important also, and that hazy Fade green was rotten for CC. Give us a pre-canned cutscene loop and a free-form exploration scene to play with. The cutscene loop should show the same close-ups and half-height shots used in-game. The free-form scene lets us use and see what our character will look like standing, running, jumping and wielding a weapon. The scene can be pretty plain, like a small exercise or training room or an outdoor deck. The free-form scene can also double as the controller tutorial, since it will need all of the same movement controls of the actual game. Both the cutscene and free-form previews should have at least 4 lighting modes: indoor dark and light, outdoor dark and light.
- More costume previews. We don't need every armor or casual wear option, but one example of each is necessary to get a CC design right. I don't know how many times I had to redo a CC design because what looked good in whatever the character was wearing during CC looked terrible in the armor or costume I ended up using most the most.

Most are already listed but here are some of mine:
Better lighting. No one puts their make-up on the dark. We shouldn't have to in the CC either. Face codes/export/save option before starting the game proper Actual black for hair, not grey-black or blue-black or whatever that color is in DAI Separate color options for eyebrows and hair; maybe some highlight options More hair styles; 50 shades of bald is not helpful

I want rye breads. Seriously, I want a means of going back to tweak the character after starting the game as well as at different points throughout the game. My Ryder wants the right to dye her hair, change her makeup, get a tattoo, and even get plastic surgery if she thinks she needs it. I'd also like to be able to adjust the lighting while inside the character creation screen and to be able to fully manipulate Ryder to see from all angles... as opposed to the look right, left and up a bit actions of Shepard. And last but not least, a face code so the face can be created again without going through all the sliders again.

I had a horribly frustrating time with ME3's character creator. The ones before that did a decent job in aesthetics. I wish for the option to rotate the character's head at all angles with different lighting. Better hair options (I missed having Nef's hairstyle from ME2) and Shep's jaw and cheekbones looked off with her lips and eyes shrunk to tiny sizes. If we can adjust the body type, even better. And please give less creepy eyelashes. (Sorry, little details really drive me nuts)

What I'd like out of ME:A's CC (and every other) is simple: Keep improving its quality while adding more features, but don't remove previous features, and please don't arbitrarily lock us out of certain options that the game can handle. That's my TL;DR, because wall of text/images incoming! What do I mean by all that? Well, the first part is obvious. More stuff is great, better stuff is great. As for removing features, DA:I didn't have the option to change eyebrow colour separately from scalp-hair colour, which was frustrating, especially since past games had that option. It's especially odd since people in real life have that, and that's not counting dyes (which exist in DA and ME). So there is an example of regression that I don't want to see. And locking us out of things? Well, for one, I don't want to have default protagonists who have features (hair, freckles, etc.) that custom characters can't use (Shep, Hawke). Luckily, it looks like ME:A won't have this problem. I must make the obligatory mention of better hair as well Come on, Bioware, get someone who actually likes/has hair to give you some advice/model things. Or just look up some styles on the internet, or go outside In case anyone likes reading rants about hair, I'll spoiler one of my previous posts on the topic that explains my thoughts more precisely Just in case anyone needed reminding, here are all the " styles" in Inquisition. There are 28 of them. 13 are bald or nearly bald. Nearly half. 10 either have male-pattern-baldness, sideburns, or both. That's 10 out of 28 that can instantly be considered masculine and not feminine, despite supposedly having gender-neutral options. Of course, that was just PR to make it seem like they were being progressive and trying to cover up the fact that neither gender has nearly enough options. In addition, they couldn't think that maybe, just maybe, they should have things like sideburns in the Facial Hair section, something that already exists, and keep it off hairstyles. That way we wouldn't have to groan at our Lady Inquisitors having them (or lowering the number of usable options even further), and our Lord Inquisitors can choose whether to have them, instead of being forced to with some styles and forced not to with others. Dumb. And none of that even addresses the quality of the styles! I'll leave that out since it's subjective, but I only like 2 styles and refuse to use one because sideburns. All of that is hardly fair, but for some reason unfathomable to me, it took quite a few tweets to convince Mike Laidlaw that there might be a problem with that. Seriously. They're that out-of-touch with us, and that adverse to accepting even the simplest and most valid criticism. They're just so... stubborn! Defensive. Since I like that word today, it's really irksome. Yeah. Take that What we got in DA:I was abysmal for many reasons, so please, please do better. So, other than that, what are some ideas I'd like to see implemented? - Well, I'd like them to take DA:I's scar system and improve it to let us manually place scars in a similar way to the other sliders. I'd also like to be able to add multiple layers of scars like Fallout 4 does. - We need facecodes or a replacement system for saving faces, so we can reuse them or share them. - We need a way to alter appearance midway through the game. Facial reconstruction surgery is a thing in ME, so it shouldn't be a problem. And it definitely shouldn't be a problem for changing hair, facial hair, makeup etc. - An idea I had was to let us mirror our hair option. In other words, it would effectively let us part it whichever way we liked, which is important not just cosmetically (which is also important; we're discussing a CC after all), but practically. Why? Well, the hair might cover up a tattoo design or scar you want to see. Or, you might want it to somewhat cover up a scar, for roleplay value (trying to hide it with your hair). I believe Bioware actually did use mirrored hairs occasionally with NPCs in DA:I. Even if not, it shouldn't be too hard to implement as suggestions go. - Another idea I had was to let us have a "Mission" hairdo and a "Casual" hairdo. This way, if you had long hair, you could, say, have a Mission Style that's up in a bun, but as soon as you get back on board, your Casual Style is used and your hair is down. Nice. - Adding an outer and inner iris colour, along with a colour wheel for eyes (finally!) was a great addition to DA:I. I'd love to see that return of course, along with the option to have heterochromia (different-coloured eyes). That shouldn't be too complicated to do. If Cortez can genetically change himself to have blue eyes, an eye-colour-wheel fits with the universe, if that's an issue. And speaking of colour-wheels, it's about time that we get to use them for hair. Yes, that would mean any hair colour imaginable. And before anyone says, we could have purple hair in ME3, so why not green, or bright red, or yellow, etc.? It's also important to note that making unnatural colours isn't the only thing that would be useful for. Ever wanted a brown that's just between option X and option Y? Now you can. Want a less blue black, or a more blonde blonde? Covered. Want to get that auburn hair Shep used to have, or a more natural shade of red (looking at you, DA:I)? You can do that too. This would really be a great improvement, I think. It also fits with the universe, with dyes (obviously) and possibly genetic alteration as well. Now I get back to my first sentence, where I said "please don't arbitrarily lock us out of certain options that the game can handle." Here's something I was referring to: ME3 actually does support a colour-wheel for hair (and eyes) - that is, infinite colours. It doesn't crash if you use the Gibbed Save Editor to access it and give yourself green hair. That's what I meant by that sentence. I know it's possible, so let me! Options are optional, after all, so if you don't want purple hair, don't use it Here, poor Shepard demonstrates having any colour for hair, eyebrows (separately), and eyes. Just took a bunch of shots for this thread so I can finally explain what I mean But, what's better than one colour wheel? Two! You can do that, too. ME3 natively supports two layers of highlight colours on top of the base. Pretty cool! What does it look like? Here is one of the default shades of brown, for reference: And here it is with a lighter blondish/light brown highlight: Now, it may not seem like a huge difference, but it's not something you can emulate using just one colour layer, even with a colour-wheel. So I think adding something like this, and/or a way to have more conventional "highlights" in ME:A would be pretty sweet. Here are a few more to show what you can do: Here is a maroon (highlight on brown) I made that I quite like: It reminds me of Covenant vehicles I don't get my name from nowhere, after all On that note, here is a purple shade (on brown again) that, in my opinion, looks better than the default purple option. Here is a green highlight. Looks... interesting This one really lets the brown show through though, showing how you can blend colours. So there, those are my thoughts at the moment. I'm sure I forgot an idea or two, but that's probably enough for one post anyway One thing I didn't mention, though, was body-sliders/presets. I feel strongly about that, and have enough writing on the matter to testify to that, but I think I'll have to save that for another post

Heck, you can even select from different sorts of freckles, then set how intense they are. While not perfect, the CC does really allow you to change a lot of things.
