Delan had the earthclan female assessed in moments. There was the clumsy noise (it was actually the almost inaudible slight gasp after the collision that was the clue) combined with the fake pass waved about just too quickly that undermined the credibility of everything that came out of her mouth. As the Volus was well versed in distraction, the incessant babbling was also unconvincing. Whilst hands clutched sidearms around the room, Delan had quickly scoped his own attack strategy, which was to head under the table and to strafe the legs of the intruder if they were unlikely enough to be the one still standing after the ensuing gunfight. Fortunately, tempers held and a 10,000 credit advance was discussed. "Those terms are acceptable to me" (kss) Delan grunted, as much to remind everyone that he was still there. As he looked around the room at the motley group, he knew that he wasn't planning to stand with his back to the female and the Salarian, and he hadn't yet made up his mind about the others. Who even wanted to be hugged by an earthclan? Was that an actual thing humans did? Some aliens were truly bizarre.

Aleeta kept her shotgun aimed at this human intruder for several moments after everyone else lowered their weapons. She narrowed her hawkish eyes at the girl, scowling. The former Cabal operative was furious - and, admittedly, embarrassed - that Kalia had not only managed to pursue her without the Cabal noticing she was being trailed, but that it also resulted in leading the human straight to their new safehouse. When Sal loudly cleared his throat, Aleeta regretfully lowered her Wraith. She locked eyes with Kalia and straightened to her full height, looking down at the human. "My name is Aleeta Cassian, not Dizzy," she growled, "and if you EVER follow me like that again, I will show you the true meaning of crazy." The Turian snorted, then glanced around and watched as the rest of the group agreed to the job and the 10,000 credits up front. It sounded fine to her, but she specifically waited until it had Delan's official seal of approval. After all, the Turian race as a whole had been relying on the Volus to assist them with that sort of financial advising for years, so she figured it wise to stick with that particular tradition. Aleeta glanced down at the Volus. "Those terms are acceptable to me (kss)," Delan concluded. Aleeta gave him a respectful nod before turning her head back to Sal. "That works for me, too," she said. "Count me in." [OOC: Sorry about the wait, guys. Tagging GeneralXIV ]

Kalia tilted her head a little to the side as she looked up at Aleeta, laughing slightly, "Oh baby, I cant wait, I love crazy. Dont worry though, I learned my lesson. I think." It was probably not a good idea to start annoying her future teammates, but still. She actually liked Aleeta. She seemed like someone she could tease and have a lot of fun with, even though she was very, very grumpy and very likely to end up killing her. High spirits didnt exactly seem common with anyone. The way she saw it, she had a few options. 1. She could take the 10,000 credits which would be paid up front and run, and hope that the Black Suns or the people who would actually be doing the job wouldnt kill her. 2. She could do the job, be a valued member of the team and walk away with the 10,000 credits when the job was complete, and hope the Black Suns wouldnt kill her. 3. She could do the job, betray the team and walk away with everything, and hope the Black Suns or the team wouldnt kill her. 4. She could do the job, be a valued member of the team but gently push it towards fulfilling her own goals... like destroying the Black Suns. She would walk away with the money and have no one to try and kill her, while the team would walk away feeling the warm, cosy sensation of accomplishment. Everyone would be happy. That being said, she needed a contingency plan. It was a well known fact that everyone on Omega was out for themselves, and she could just as easily be betrayed as she could be the one doing the betraying. She needed something to break apart the group if she had to, either as part of her betrayal or if she was betrayed. Money. Money was one thing she could use. The Volus had said "Those terms are acceptable to me". He hadnt said "Those terms are great!" 10,000 credits was a lot of money up front, so what they were stealing would probably be worth double or even triple what the Salarian would spend on hiring people to find it. If the team happened to start thinking they were getting less than what they deserved, it could create some divisions between them and the Salarian. And a team without leadership would fail. Or she could use herself as a bad example. Judging from the... mixed reaction her presence was getting, the only reason why she was still alive was because of the Salarian. He had been very welcoming in comparison. If she started to cause problems the blame for her being around would be the Salarians, because if it was up to the other members of the team she was fairly sure she would be dead. If they questioned her, they questioned him. If questioned him, they questioned his competence, and that would cause divisions, and a team without leadership would fail. Or she could target the members of the team individually, and make them question each others loyalties and motivations. The sad truth was that, while everyone was out for themselves, they also didnt like other people who were out for themselves. She could play the Black Suns card, maybe secretly planting doubts in someones mind that another member of the team was an informant who was selling them out, maybe after something went drastically wrong, so when they were at their most vulnerable. But how to gain their trust? That was pretty simple, really. In the eyes of the team, she had to be more than a thief who was wanting to betray them... which, of course, she was, but she didnt want them to know that. Telling the truth had worked before, maybe she would have to try that again. Or at least, spin a lie which happened to be close to the truth. But around her there was a Salarian, a Turian, a Krogan, a Volus and a Drell, and they would all probably want to see different things. The Salarian would probably want intelligence, the Turian would probably want honor, the Krogan would want brutality or straightforwardness, the Volus would be tempted by money and the Drell would want to see some kind of skill. Or so she figured, but she was probably being a little offensive using racial stereotypes. She could seduce someone alternatively, if the opportunity came to pass. Looking around, none of the team were what she would consider good looking, although the Drell did look... intriguing, in a way. The Krogan was an instant no, she was rather attached to her innards and tended to like them not being completely annihilated. The Volus... as adorable as they were, it wouldnt be a great deal of fun... maybe some size issues. The Salarian probably wouldnt be interested, and while she had no issue with pretending to be bisexual with Aleeta in order to gain the trust of the group, the chance of that happening was seriously close to zero, and she had no idea what Aleeta's deal was, whether it was men, women, asari, vorcha... Ok, she thought, Seduction is probably off the table. She decided to talk. Just say something, anything. Maybe starting with the honesty thing. "You know, Ive had guns pointed at me, Ive been threatened and Ive also been called a slut. This sounds like every job interview Ive ever had, actually." She had no idea what it was about a tight fitting, black leather outfit that made people think she was a slut, but she didnt especially care. "Speaking of which," she added, "Ill lay my cards down on the table and admit that what I showed you before wasnt a card for Omega Security Systems, it was a membership card to a strip club I stole. So, Im thinking, when the job is done..." she shrugged, "Just putting it on the table, saying we could. To celebrate. Right? Just dont ask why the two are connected. Jobs and strip clubs I mean." The more honest she was, the more they would start to trust her. Or be less suspicious of her. Or at least not try and kill her. Any of those were good. "I have a question," she pointed out, speaking louder than she had done before, "I stole something from someone who worked for the Black Suns, and before I knocked him out he said he would send a hit squad after me if I didnt pay him back. Tomorrow, that is. Heres my question... whats to stop them doing the same thing to all of us? What if we get caught, or seen, or captured on camera? Whats to stop them sending people to kill us? Even if we get the hell out of here and go somewhere else, they could still send an assassin no matter where we go or hide. So... heres what Im thinking. The Black Suns are bad people... they deal in drugs and slavery, they ruin peoples lives... instead of breaking in and stealing one thing... why dont we do Omega, and ourselves, a favor and take them all on? And steal everything? Kick their asses, steal every credit they have and then we're free to go about our lives with no one wanting to kill us? Isnt that the smartest plan? We have a communicator... cant we... use it to track other people connected to the frequency? Wont we know where at least some of the Black Suns are and be able to use it to our advantage?" Honor, brutality, money and intelligence. Perfect. There was probably some skill in there too. "Oh, and before I forget..." she knelt down next to the Volus, her arms outstretched, "Can I have a hug?" [OOC: this might touch on some plot points which Space Cowboy might not want to have... if so ill happily edit it to get rid of the bits about destroying the Black Suns Also tagging Space Cowboy again ]

Sal took notes on his omnitool as each of the mercenaries agreed to the terms. Finally, the new arrival spoke. He listened to her suggest wiping out the Black Suns and shook his head "This mission is not a search and destroy mission. If we do our job right, as I had in mind, they won't know who did it. We have resources that can hack and disable security, including cameras." He looked up from his omnitool for a moment. "That said, on a mission this big anything could happen, and likely will. We may end up having no choice but to do as you suggest." His eyes returned to the omnitool. DragonRacer: Sal secretly emails Aleeta a message. "watch her"
[OOC spoilered it just for fun. the rest of you can have a look if you wish ] He regards Kalia briefly before returning to his omnitool. He didn't entirely trust her, but he didn't have any reason not to either, yet. Same with the others really. "Now, I've wired instructions to pay each of you 10,000 credits. I expect a much bigger haul, so don't go running off. Now, as much as I'd like to wipe out the Black Suns, I'm also curious who the buyer is and what their payment will be. If we go chasing after the Black Suns solely, we'll never find out. Why get one payout when we can get two?" He stood and revealed a hidden computer screen in a cupboard. The screen turned on, and displayed a blueprint of the dock area. "This is our first target. Depending what we find here, we may in fact go after the Black Suns base. In the mean time, lets focus on this." He showed them the layout, possible security measures and checkpoints. "Now, one person can hack into their security cameras, where we can gain a view of the goods being delivered and picked up. Once the Black Suns show up, we swoop in and take their share, and wait for delivery of the other party's share. then we take that too. This will be delicate timing because we need to convince the Black Suns their drop is going as scheduled." "Does anyone have any suggestions or improvements to this plan? We will need tech, and muscle standing ready to defeat the Black Suns. Also, someone good at talking to convince the buyer that we are legit." [OOC Tagging @tzeenchianapostrophe ]

"Don't try anything stupid, human slut" Justice spat as Kailia spread her arms out in offer for a hug to the Volus. "This job will get me out of this hell hole and I believe Sal is paying good money. He may trust you but I don't. If you betray us or steal from us." Justice summoned a palm sized sphere of biotic in front of Kailia. "I'll fucking rip you molecule by molecule." Normally Justice, wouldn't trust anyone but the human gave out bad signals. Kailia was obviously trying to play everyone, Justice hopes that he can stop her. Still the human woman with the skin tight suit that exposes part of her cleavage did say something about the Black Suns which intrigued Justice. "Now I agree with you that the Black Suns bring nothing but pain and misery to an already miserable place. If paid extra, I'm willing to find their hideout and take them out, take their credits. No one will lose sleep over a lost gang. Though this human slut may lead us into a trap, we'll see but if she is a traitor I'll do what I just said." Justice chuckled at his statement, he just needs Kalia to be intimidated. Sal continued laying out the plan: "Now, one person can hack into their security cameras, where we can gain a view of the goods being delivered and picked up. Once the Black Suns show up, we swoop in and take their share, and wait for delivery of the other party's share. then we take that too. This will be delicate timing because we need to convince the Black Suns their drop is going as scheduled." "Sounds good." Justice nodded. "I can sniff out the eezo and crush any Black Sun who tries to resist. I have no complaints about this plan. But like I said Sal keep an eye on the human." Justice took a dark look at Kailia then took out his Shotgun and began calibrating it. (OOC: SofaJockey )

If Kalia was attempting to seduce members of the group, Delan was quite convinced that the tactic was bringing less than successful results. Kalia shared, "Speaking of which," she added, "I'll lay my cards down on the table and admit that what I showed you before wasn't a card for Omega Security Systems, it was a membership card to a strip club I stole. So, Im thinking, when the job is done..." she shrugged, "Just putting it on the table, saying we could. To celebrate. Right? Just don't ask why the two are connected. Jobs and strip clubs I mean." The Volus allowed images of Asari and other races in various states of undress to cross his mind, with ambivalence. He'd seen copies of Fornax being peddled in the markets, and whilst intrigued at how some of the more ambitious sex rituals were physically possible, watching other races disrobe was as alluring to Delan as watching an Elcor calculating his accounts (admittedly, compound interest calculations had a certain beauty, but the Volus dismissed that thought). Kalia stepped forward and knelt in front of the Volus with her arms outstretched. The appeal of the tightly clad earthclan was not improved by its proximity, though Delan noted that the human's hands were now well away from its weapons. "Oh, and before I forget... Can I have a hug?" she said. As she did this the Krogan grunted, "Don't try anything stupid, human slut. This job will get me out of this hell hole and I believe Sal is paying good money." "He may trust you but I don't. If you betray us or steal from us. I'll fucking rip you molecule by molecule." Justice formed a palm-sized sphere of biotic energy which wavered in front of Kalia. Taking advantage of the perfectly timed distraction, Delan adeptly pulled his Avenger from its shoulder-holster and with the smoothness of an Alliance frigate entering a docking bay, lowered the barrel of the rifle swiftly but gently into what he understood earthclan females referred to as their 'cleavage'. "I don't know what this 'hugging' has to do with listing buckets, earthclan" (kss)"but getting sweat and blood marks off a pressure suit is no joke" (kss)"So unless you want to leave with your entrails in a bucket, I decline, human..." (kss)
Delan stared into Kalia's eyes with an air of 'don't cross this line' in his stance. He should have been paying attention to the discussion about the mission that appeared to be starting, but he was enjoying his exciting day and particularly enjoying the adrenaline rush of living on the edge, to pay too much concern over the details. "You know," Kalia said, "I've had guns pointed at me, I've been threatened and I've also been called a slut. This sounds like every job interview I've ever had, actually." Aleeta had an immediate dislike for the human rogue, but she couldn't help but wryly chuckle. She also didn't mind her suggestion of wiping out the Black Suns entirely, if the opportunity presented itself. They were an awful bunch and taking them down would either leave her a hero or dead trying and, frankly, Aleeta was fine with either outcome. At Sal's private message, the Cabal's eyes flitted over to him briefly in silent acknowledgment before turning to watch as he went over the blueprints and general gameplan. "I'm no expert hacker," Aleeta commented, "but I should be able to assist with the security cameras. I could also sneak around the docks and set up some charges that I can remotely detonate if we need to pull attention away from us. Plus," she continued, holding up one of her small, round smoke bombs, "I always have these little beauties on-hand for last-minute get-away cover as needed. Tech, I like. Smooth-talking, not so much." As discussions of the job continued, Aleeta heard the human female approach their Volus compatriot. "Oh, and before I forget..." she knelt down next to the Volus, her arms outstretched, "Can I have a hug?" The exchange did not go well as Delan clearly didn't want to be touched. Aleeta couldn't really blame him. "So unless you want to leave with your entrails in a bucket, I decline, human..." (kss) While Delan fixed a stare at Kalia, Aleeta interjected herself between the two, lightly but firmly grasping Kalia's upper arm to pull her up and away from both the Volus and his gun. "Rule Number One was never to follow and spy upon me again," the Turian explained. "Now we have Rule Number Two: don't touch my Volus friend. Period." [OOC: Passes the ball back to GeneralXIV ]

Well, the hug hadnt gone to plan, that was for sure.[/p] Kalia rolled her eyes, muttering, "Youll have me trained properly in no time."
She thought for a moment, before adding, "My boobs, really? Out of everywhere you could have chosen to point a gun... you just had to choose my boobs. You just don't shoot someone there. We're planning on breaking in somewhere and you never know when they might be useful. Ok, no hugs. I get it. You could have just said so, sheesh."
Her attention turned to the krogan. She figured they were like lots of animals, territorial. And he was trying to intimidate her. But if she was to get anything close to respect from him she needed to match what he was saying. Stand her ground. Something like that anyway.
Or she could just hurl insults and hope for the best.
"Hey, dumbass," she called to the Krogan, "Why dont you quit whining like a little bitch, huh? Maybe try and use that big empty head of yours? Whats your name anyway? Wait, let me guess... Blergh, Wrerch, Gwerg, Tarkk... am I close? I have to be pretty close, they sound like the sound someone makes as theyre about to throw up."
After half-listening to what the Salarian was saying about what they were actually supposed to be doing, she did have something to say.
"Im guessing Im the talker?" she asked, "I mean, looking around the room... you guys dont seem so talkative... heres what I see..."
She pointed at Aleeta, "Too grumpy."
Followed by the Salarian himself, "Too fast."
And then the Krogan, "Too stupid."
The Drell, "Too... er... memorable I guess? I mean, he has a red face. Thats awesome, by the way. You manage to pull it off without looking like youre blushing all the time."
She nearly forgot about the Volus, but just made a kss sound and hoped it would give a good explanation... Volus werent the best talkers.
"So," she continued, "Since so far today Ive talked my way out of having to pay quite a lot of money and out of getting shot, I think Im the perfect person for that. What would you guys do without me, right? I mean, Ive only just got here and Ive already become necessary. See that Krogan? Its called teamwork. You might want to look it up. One tiny problem though... black leather tends to be pretty memorable, and its my thieving outfit. But if Im gonna convince him that everything is fine, his eyes need to be on me and not on everything else, right? So I might have to change clothes. Maybe something with a longer neckline. Good job the Volus didnt shoot, otherwise we would be an asset down. Well, two. Three if you include me as a person because Id be dead. That could have gone really bad for you guys, luckily Aleeta was there to pull my chest from the firing line, and now you have three great assets to work with. Im sure I can convince them everything is going fine. And what the Drell said about infiltration. I can do that too. Obviously. Its how I got in here."
She paused for a few seconds, "So, we need to convince them that everything is fine... and we need to be anonymous... why dont we steal some of their armor? Nothing says "everything is fine!" like having some guys on your team there, and nothing says anonymous like someone thinking youre on their side. Im sure we could pick some up for some of you guys somewhere. If you think it would work. It would be like having invisible agents, hiding in plain sight and all of that crap."

Sal grimaced at Kalia's offer of a hug and the reactions to it. What was with humans and hugging? Perhaps Larry could explain it. He stood hastily. "OK Enough!" he said, waving his hands. "Save it for the Black Suns. Fighting amongst ourselves is just wasting valuable time." He looked Kalia up and down. "Human, I'm sure to other humans your 'assets' are valuable," "I can vouch for that" Larry said with a wink. "But to other species not so much. Now, while the Black Suns are multi species, their top brass are Batarian. They loathe humans even when forced to work with them. There is a very low chance the buyers are human. Or Asari, the only other species that would appreciate your 'assets' as far as I know." "That said, I'm not sure arriving in a low cut gown is good for your health, considering what we may be facing. Your call however. " "I do like the idea of obtaining Black Sun armour though. I suggest we split up. Kalia and Aleeta can go find Kalia a change of clothing. Consider it a bonding exercise. Try not to kill each other. The rest of us can obtain Black Sun armour. Even if a few suits, we can use them to surprise the gang members that are guarding or moving the shipment." He turned his attention to Delan. "Now, Volus, you've been dodging this issue so far. Don't think I haven't noticed. What do you see as your role in this? I'm not clear exactly what you are contributing." [OOC After Delan's answer] "Fine, I say we move if everyone is in agreement. Meet back here in two hours at the latest. Agreed?" [OOC Tagging @tzeenchianapostrophe OK Kalia and Aleeta can retrieve items and come back. The rest of us can attack a black suns safehouse that Sal knows about. This could take a few rounds but I don't want to drag it out. The Black Suns safehouse has a sniper and an automatic turret guarding it, and bad guys inside, if someone wants to take us there. Maybe Kato. We need a suit for each species. Larry is NOT going with them. ]

Kailia wasted no time getting on the offensive, spewing out insults towards the team. "Hey, dumbass," she called to the Krogan, "Why dont you quit whining like a little bitch, huh? Maybe try and use that big empty head of yours? Whats your name anyway? Wait, let me guess... Blergh, Wrerch, Gwerg, Tarkk... am I close? I have to be pretty close, they sound like the sound someone makes as theyre about to throw up." Justice couldn't help suppress a grin. "I've heard better insults from children from your kind." He retorted trying not to laugh. "THAT is supposed to be intimidating?!" But Kailia didn't stop there, she then called everyone on the team names with Kalia Justice "too stupid." Justice howled with laughter. "You are insulting everyone who is willing to kill you if you say or do the wrong thing INCLUDING a Biotic Krogan?! And I'm the stupid one?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I've got to hand it to you human! You've got quad!" As stupid as she is, Kailia is entertaining! For the sake of the mission, Justice decided to drop the open hostility for now. Kailia then suggested that they should get in disguises (while taking a potshot at Justice in which he brushed off.) as Black Suns while Sal suggested that she and Aleeta should do the job while the rest will assault a Black Suns safehouse. "Sounds great! Let the bonding begin!" Justice said sarcastically. Kato laid out a plan where he will go in and take the guards out silently, but will need someone to hack or disable the turrets. "Not my expertise." Justice replied, "ask Delan or Sal or Larry, once the turrets and the guard up top are taken care of, leave the rest of the Black Suns to me." Justice began glowing a shade of blue. "I'm a one Krogan annihilator." ( SofaJockey )

The Volus left the Salarian behind him, some distance from the Warehouse and paced forward towards it, a box of cleaning materials in this arms, or so it would seem to the casual observer: some plastic containers with a cleaning cloth perched on top. Delan was pleased, he felt he had addressed the Salarian's concerns earlier, and whilst he had been momentarily disappointed in his payment distraction having been called out, he admitted that the Salarian was sufficiently smart, and that was no bad thing in a partner in crime. The Volus recalled the conversation: "Now, Volus, you've been dodging this issue so far. Don't think I haven't noticed. What do you see as your role in this? I'm not clear exactly what you are contributing." The Salarian had asked. Delan had replied candidly: "I'm the last thing any mercenary band will expect to be attacking them, I'm agile for my size, a good aim with a rifle, and there are more ways to win a fight than just shooting, Salarian." (kss)"Now, where's the kitchen? I need some plastic containers and some soap..." (kss)
Delan was working his way towards the Warehouse, not a beeline for it but slightly to one side so it looked as though the Volus would head on past through the Warehouse district. The sniper on the balcony overlooking the doorway had clearly noticed him, but seemed to be exhibiting bored alertness rather than keen alterness. At least the sniper wasn't sighting his rifle, which was nice. He was conscious of varying packing crates littering the access platforms in front of the Warehouses. He was often struck by how keen many races were to litter their open spaces with chest-high crap, or at least chest-high on a human. On Delan these obstructions usually came up to his shoulders. Regardless of that, they were more than enough cover for his gang-mates to utilize, so long as Delan trod the fine line between being obvious to a guard without causing a commotion that would interest those inside the Warehouse. Aware that he was being watched, he stopped before heading past the Black Suns Warehouse, looked around, then looked up at the guard who was taking more of an interest now, raising his rifle... "Is this the way to Harot's Warehouse?" (kss), Delan asked, conversationally. "Piss off, Volus" muttered the guard, rifle at the ready, watching Delan. "It must be nearby" (kss), continued Delan, "the Elcor said it was down here past the residential district" (kss)
"I told you to piss off, I won't tell you again" the guard grumbled, now sighting the Volus. "ok, calm down, calm down" (kss), said Delan, plopping his box of cleaning materials down near the door, though not close enough, Delan calculated, to trigger the nearby turret. "I've messaged Harot to come and get me, I'll be on my way and leave you be", (kss) accompanied by a few beeps of his Omni-tool. Good, the thug looked more irritated than murderous, so Delan took things a step further. "I'll just wait here for 5 minutes for him to fetch me" (kss), he said, sinking down onto the box, to use it as a stool, dislodging two containers, which rather unceremoniously glugged soapy liquid onto the gangway. "Oh dear, let me clean this up" (kss) the Volus panted and started dabbing at the spill with his cleaning cloth, confident that wherever his gang-members were situated around the Warehouse, the guard was 100% focused on the stupid Volus cleaning up his mess... (OOC: Not sure where next - discussion thread please...)

"So, are we bonding yet?" Aleeta asked sarcastically, casting a side-long glance at Kalia. She resented being stuck with babysitting the human thief to the market district. She should have been attacking the warehouse with the others, but instead had spent her time quipping and bantering back and forth with the human thief. Thankfully, their part on this little side mission was almost done - they'd gotten in and out of a suitable store with a less-revealing, more business-like outfit for Kalia to wear on the main mission. As they walked back to their safehouse to rendezvous with the others and start the big heist, a chill ran up Aleeta's spine. She glanced around, but didn't see anything. Something wasn't right, though. Years of special ops experience told her they were being watched. Very quietly, she said to Kalia, "Cloak. Go hide. Don't let them find you. I've got this." The Cabal started walking again, this time turning down an alley that led away from her former path, ensuring she didn't lead whoever who stalker was any closer to their safehouse. After a few moments, she turned yet another corner and came face-to-face with a human, Salarian, Turian, and Krogan in black armor - with the Black Suns insignia emblazoned on them. "You're the one who caused trouble in Afterlife," the human stated. "Maybe," Aleeta answered. "Depends on what you consider 'caused' to be. I merely reacted to a business deal where I got stiffed on payment. I'd say the stiffer was the one who caused the real problem." "People are assuming we did it," the male Turian accused, pointing a talon at the Cabal's armor. "I don't wear your logo," she answered defensively. "The last time I checked, you guys didn't hold the patent on black armor." Aleeta balled her right hand into a fist. "Doesn't matter," scoffed the human. "You've made trouble for us and we can't let that slide." The female Turian grinned, a wicked sort of grimace. "You haven't seen trouble yet." With that, she exposed the nightshade blades on her right gauntlet and swung a punch at the human. The blades sank into the side of his neck where helmet didn't quite meet armor and the man crumpled. As his compatriots turned to shoot at her, Aleeta called up the biotic power within her and dashed several feet away, practically teleporting. She grabbed her Wraith and unloaded the shotgun into the Salarian's back. Two down, two to go. As the Krogan charged at her, roaring in rage, Aleeta dashed away again and punched the Carnifex out of the male Turian's hand. When she went to punch at his head, he blocked her. Just as swiftly, she blocked the kick he aimed at her, one that would have sweep her feet out from underneath her. She recognized the hand-to-hand moves - the Turian was former military, like her. As much fun as it would be to spar one-on-one and best him, there was still the Krogan at play. Aleeta dashed away from the Turian and slammed a smoke bomb to the ground, seeking to lose them in the confusion and sneak up from behind. She exited the smoke cloud just in time to meet a face full of Krogan. "Not this time," he grunted. In the span of a few seconds, Aleeta became aware of two things. First, the sound of many more footsteps approaching their location - it was anyone's guess if they were help or more enemies. The second was the pain of the Krogan's helmeted head cracking down on her forehead. The pain was brief, however, as Aleeta's world went dark before her body even hit the ground. "With all of these rules? Its more bond age than bond ing," Kalia sighed, "This is Omega. The idea is to have no rules, right? "Dont follow me", "Dont hug the Volus", "Dont buy that"... whats up with that? Its like a constant bitch contest with you, which Im winning, by the way. What happened to girl power, huh?"[/p]
Aleeta seemed to ignore her reply, and glanced around as if she was trying to see something. Kalia looked around too, but couldnt see anything out of the ordinary.
"Cloak. Go hide. Don't let them find you. I've got this," she said quietly.
She opened her mouth to ask why, and who they were, but she figured it wasnt the best idea. She pulled her hood over her head and activated her holographic visor before engaging her cloak. She didnt run, or hide like Aleeta had ordered, instead completely ignoring the rule about not following her. Maybe as a quiet rebellion against the rules and orders she was getting, or maybe as an act of concern. She couldnt tell which.
A short while later, Aleeta stopped. There was a Salarian, a human, a krogan and a turian blocking her path. At her distance, she couldnt tell what they were saying, but their armor instantly told her who they were working for. The Black Suns.
Kalia had a few options.
1. She could hope her combat skills exceeded those of the Salarian, the human, the Turian the Krogan... which they probably wouldnt, and save Aleeta, but risk exposing the plan if she was caught, followed or otherwise noticed.
2. She could let the Black Suns kill or take her, and tell the team that Aleeta had gone.
3. She could let the Black Suns take her, and tell the team where she was, and they could get her back.
As she thought about what she would do, they started to fight. Aleeta quickly took care of the Human and the Salarian, but the Turian and the Krogan were obviously proving more difficult. Because they were tougher. Not as soft.
Kalia made her decision and started to run over to help, dropping her shopping bag, but she spotted a second Turian closing in from behind with a heavy looking rifle. Changing direction slightly, she moved to engage him, thinking that if he turned the corner he would have the perfect view of the fight, and the perfect shot aimed at Aleetas back.
Aleeta probably wouldnt want to get shot in the back. She would probably say something along the lines of "Rule three: Dont let me get shot from behind" while recovering. Or she would be dead.
She landed a flat-palmed blow against the side of the rifle, which broke her cloak and knocked the Turian off-balance. She stunned him with a punch to the helmet, quickly twisting the gun from his grip while she had the chance. Before it had even hit the floor, the Turian tried to swing a blow at her head. She dodged it, grasping his wrist before he could retract it and twisting his arm the wrong way.
She made him slap himself on his helmet, which was a pretty harmless move. But, because his arm was twisted the wrong way... it broke. The Turian yelled in pain, and he drew his sidearm, raising it with his unbroken arm. But before he could shoot her, she quickly sabotaged his weapon so when he did pull the trigger, the gun overheated and didnt fire. She hit him in the face, and when he raised his hand to defend himself, she wrapped her legs quickly around him and brought him down with a reverse scissor kick. Kalia quickly drew her sword and ran it through his neck, between the join of his armor and helmet. She heard the Turian gurgle as she climbed to her feet.
She liked to avoid killing people as much as she could, but sometimes it was unavoidable. She pulled her sword out of his neck and sheathed it, cloaking again and looking for Aleeta. The area was clouded with smoke, making it hard to see anything, but it was clearing quickly. More Black Suns had joined the group, and she caught a glimpse of them hauling Aleetas unconscious body away.
There were too many of them, way too many. There was nothing she could do to stop them from taking her. But there was something she could do to get her back.
Reaching into a small pocket in her armor, she removed a small tracking device which she usually used for keeping track of potential targets for her to steal from. Pushing the small button in the center to activate it, she ran forward, dodging between the Black Suns to slip the device inside Aleetas armor, keeping low to avoid detection.
It was time to get the hell out of there. She fled, making sure she collected her bag on her way. She had to find the team.

With some grumbling Aleeta left with Kalia. Sal shrugged. She did agree to watch her after all. The rest of them took a tram car down to the Black Suns safehouse. It was in a row of warehouses, all nondescript, as warehouses and safehouses tend to be. The turret was disguised but Sal knew what to look for. he sent Delan in, carrying his bucket and soap. Kato moved into position and signaled, as did Justice. As Delan approached the building, Sal stayed out of sight, but within range to hack the turret. He watched Delan's work, chuckling inside. The volus was good. Once the guard was sufficiently distracted, Sal brought up his omnitool and discovered the frequency used by the turret as well as any cameras covering the entrance. He worked on the turret first, as the biggest threat. Once he was satisfied, he then took out the camera. He then spoke into his comms. "Go Go! " He waited until the guard was down, Delan was out of the way and Justice inside the safehouse before he entered, being as stealthy as he could. [OOC Tagging @tzeenchianapostrophe OK everyone else can describe defeating anyone they like inside. Next turn for Sal I'll bring him into the black suns warehouse, loot, and then back to meet up with Kalia. Alternatively GeneralXIV can have Kalia radio us and send us straight to where they are holding Aleeta. ]

(OOC: Listen to this music while reading our assault! XD) Sal gave the signal to assault the safehouse. "Time to crash this party." Justice smirked cocking his Krogan Shotgun. Kato quickly took out the guards on the rooftop and joined Justice as he advanced to the entrance. "Joining me eh Kato?" Justice smiled. "Fine then welcome to the party!" Kato pulled a small explosive from his belt and placed on the door. "Be ready." He whispered as he prepared a flashbang. Three seconds later, the door exploded and Kato threw his flashbang. Time to kill. Taking advantage of the confusion, Justice performed a Biotic charge at the disoriented and wounded Black Suns. Turning into a big ball of biotic mass, the Krogan charged hard and fast at the soldiers, throwing six of them at varying directions. For the remaining 8 Justice performed a shockwave, electrifying all of them. "Intruders! Intruders in the safhouse!" Justice heard a Black Sun officer shout. More reinforcements came and Justice began glowing a deep, dark blue shielding himself from incoming projectiles. As he advanced, Justice fired a couple of rounds of his Shotgun splattering a Batarian soldier with one blast and two more: Salarian and a Turian fell with multiple blast. As they fell weeping and writhing in pain. Justice charged in, smacking a Krogan guard with a Biotic bolt. He flew so far that he hit the concrete wall face first, Justice thought he cracked his skull judging by the looks of it. With the help of his Biotic abilities, Justice lept a good 6 feet in the air and balled his fist which began to glow a big light blue ball. Desperate the Turian commander ordered her troops to focus fire onto the Krogan. Hoping that Kato can take of the stragglers, Justice absorbed a few hits as he landed his fist HARD onto the ground creating a massive shockwave which sent everyone flying and metal boxes which began to collapse on the Krogan Shaman. Justice pushed them away with telekinesis and took on the remaining stragglers who were pissing themselves. "PLEASE WE SURRENDER! WE'LL DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!" One of them wept. Justice laughed. "Hey Kato! We got people who surrendered to us! What do you want to do?" Reaching for his Omini Tool Justice contacted Sal: "Hey Sal what do you want me to do with the survivors? Kill them or let them go? Your choice?" ( SofaJockey )

Delan was finishing his floor-cleaning demonstration with alert aplomb when things kicked off. The Drell dropped down from the balcony, having skewered the distracted guard, and the Krogan bounded up ready for action. With the turret also down (Delan has listened for the lessening hum of the turret sensor powering down) Kato breached the door and headed inside with Justice. The thought crossed Delan's mind that if it had been the earthclan female who had given the 'go ' signal, he would have double-checked the turret before entering its target area, but he felt comfortable with the Salarian. That didn't mean the Salarian might not seek to evade his financial obligations after the mission, but Delan didn't feel that Sal would purposefully threaten Delan's personal safety. The Volus headed into the Warehouse not long after the Drell and the Krogan, his Shuriken drawn. Inside the Warehouse, Delan found Kato and Justice 'mopping up', Justice particularly appeared to be having a good time. It's nice to see someone enjoying their work, Delan thought as he carefully made his way around the perimeter of the room, checking that there were no thugs taking cover waiting for a desperate opportunity at retaliation or forlorn freedom. In any case, he had no interest in being caught in the Shockwaves the Krogan was sending out. Satisfied that his side of the room was clear, (hoping that the Drell had done the same), Delan could however, see a few Black Suns crawling from the debris in the centre of the warehouse with hands raised and abject shock on their faces in anticipation of clemency. Looking across at Justice, who had a rather satisfied smirk on his face, not unlike a Varren who had eaten one Pyjak too many, Delan realized that the killing spree of the moment had passed. No-one saw the frown on Delan's face under his pressure suit, but the frown had one meaning: 'loose ends'.Quite instinctively, the Volus quickly keyed his omni-tool activating its camera. He didn't know whether he would be recording further slaughter or groveling capitulation, but he wanted options, in the event that these 'loose ends' felt braver (or possibly more talkative) assuming that their continued survival wasn't only very temporary. "PLEASE WE SURRENDER! WE'LL DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!" One of them wept, accompanied by distressed nodding from their thug-mates Justice laughed. "Hey Kato! We got people who surrendered to us! What do you want to do?" Reaching for his Omini Tool Justice contacted Sal: "Hey Sal what do you want me to do with the survivors? Kill them or let them go? Your choice?" Approaching the group of mercenaries, quite steadily to ensure the recording was clear and gave the mercenaries excellent close-ups, Delan aimed his Shuriken right at the face of the most vocally surrendering thug. With Delan's best 'tough guy' voice (which made Delan sound more like he had a bad cold that usual) but at least conveyed steely conviction, Delan said: "Doing what we want means giving up some information" (kss)"that will be of no use to you if your brains are decorating this warehouse floor" (kss)"The Black Suns. Tell me about your bosses, best ways to access your base and this week's work assignments and work schedules" (kss)"The longer you talk, the longer you live, and perhaps you can keep on doing that..." (kss)
"Talk NOW, please" (kss)
(OOC: that got longer in the writing :-)

After taking a small trip back to the safehouse to get the location of the Black Suns warehouse that the team was attacking from the Salarians computer, she finally arrived. And she was out of breath. From yet more running. There looked to be quite a few bodies. She pushed open the door to the warehouse, seeing the team. "Guys, Alee-" She caught a glimpse of the Black Suns members and, out of sheer habit and surprise, punched the closest one directly in the nose. Then she realized they had surrendered. "Oops," she said, taking a step back from the Black Suns, "Guys, Aleeta has been taken. We went shopping and on our way back she was ambushed. I think. She told me to run and I saw her being taken away. I put a tracking device on her but it only works within a certain distance, and I havent been able to get a signal yet. We need to get her back, right? We need to find her and bring her back. Like now."

When Sal walked in, Delan was already interrogating prisoners. He hadn't planned on prisoners. He typed a quick message to Larry, asking for a cleanup. A 12 hour sedative would do it. Then he knelt down beside one Batarian. Best to talk, friend. My volus friend only looks cute and friendly. The Batarian spat and said nothing. Sal shrugged and used his onmitool to send a jolt of electricity into the Batarian, knocking him unconsious. he moved on to the next one. "Well, how about you? Are you more talkative?" Before the second Batarian could answer, Kalia burst in, much to Sal's surprise. "Guys, Alee-" She then launched herself at the Black Sun Sal was interrogating, and punched him in the nose, before backing off. Sal raised an eyebrow at her. "Oops," she said, taking a step back from the Black Suns, "Guys, Aleeta has been taken. We went shopping and on our way back she was ambushed. I think. She told me to run and I saw her being taken away. I put a tracking device on her but it only works within a certain distance, and I haven't been able to get a signal yet. We need to get her back, right? We need to find her and bring her back. Like now." "OW! The Batarian yelled. Fine, I'll talk, just keep the human away from me! " Sal turned to Kalia. "What? When? Where?" Turning to the others he added "Change of plans. This just became a rescue effort. Kalia, looks like you might be getting your wish after all." Sal stopped for a moment, analyzing the possibilities quickly in his mind. Did Kalia set this up? No, too obvious. Would have been 'captured' herself and roughed up if that were the case. Must be legit. Regardless, they were down one Cabal and had to get her back. Sal noted down the location of the base and other information Delan had asked for, and passed it to Larry, who was coordinating at their safehouse. Indicating the prisoners, he told the others "Knock them out, tie them up and hide them in the basement for now. We'll make sure the Black Suns have other things to worry about." "Once you're done," he added, "Find some armour that fits and suit up." He then searched around, finding a set of armour made for a Salarian, helmet and all. As he was putting it on he picked up a pistol and examined it. Curious. Odd design. Shrugging, he clipped it on his belt. "We have an objective and a location. Same drill. Create a distraction, draw away guards, I'll hack turrets if any, and then we are in. Any questions?" [OOC Tagging @tzeenchianapostrophe As they approach the base, Kalia can confirm whether her tracker is working. I'll have some private info for DragonRacer too when she comes back If the story hasn't progressed past needing it that is. ]

Justice felt a little woozy. The Krogan used up too much of his Biotic ability again and he now feels like he wants to collapse. Still the only thing keeping him standing is Delan trying to sound like a badass, but ended up sounding ridiculous. "You sound too fake Delan. You sound like a baby Vorcha trying to act tough" Justice chuckled "ease off before you'll make our hostages laugh." Sal apparently agreed as he took over the interrogation "Best to talk, friend. My volus friend only looks cute and friendly. The Batarian spat and said nothing. Sal shrugged and used his onmitool to send a jolt of electricity into the Batarian, knocking him unconscious. he moved on to the next one. " "Poke him in the eyes!" Justice suggested "The Batarian believe that their souls leave through their eyes when they die. Some are pretty conscious about other people poking their eyes." Just then Kalia rushed in with a panicked look. Before the group could react, Kalia punched the Batarian in the face much to Justice's delight. "Ha! That's a pretty good punch looks like I may pull back on my Human slut comment!" But Kailia had bad news, she explained that they went "shopping" and were in a battle with the Black Suns. During the ensuing chaos, Aleeta was captured. All of this made Justice suspicious of her again, but she doesn't look wounded in order to make the farce look convincing and she really looked serious. So either Kalia is a great actor or she really is serious. Justice decided he won't voice his concern for now. "Looks like a search and rescue mission." Justice declared "It's up to you Sal, but I much rather rescue Aleeta. Let's look for some disguises!" Justice walked to the Krogan he killed and began removing his armor. ( SofaJockey .)

Delan wasn't exactly sulking, and it would have been difficult for anyone to spot it, in any case, but the Volus was smarting at the lack of impact of his interrogation. Justice had done little to improve his mood and whilst in almost every regard, the Krogan was nothing like Delan's father, the dismissive tone of his last chuckling retort: "You sound too fake Delan. Look like you're a baby Vorcha trying to act tough"...Sounded exactly like his father's dismissive tone. 'Your grandfather had made 10x his initial investments when he was your age, you have the trading instincts of an earthclan, young Delan...'The Volus snorted, trying to shake it from his mind, briefly sounding as if his respirator was malfunctioning. He quickly sifted through some priorities in his mind: Impress the Krogan, scrub that, it wasn't the Krogan that was annoying him, it was how his life had become a reaction to his own family,Kick the Krogan's ass, no scrub that as well, certainly funny, but practical? No.- Aleeta, hmmm, this was important, the Turian had been nice to him without any financial incentive to do so, he'd like to see her safe.
- Supporting the mission: a disguise? There being a Black Suns branded Pressure Suit seemed remote. He's seen Kato examining designs - no, a 'faked' Volus outfit would likely blow everyone's cover.
- Subterfuge: He could distract or even be a prisoner, perhaps one of those tactics might get him near Aleeta, that could work. He started thinking through how he could stash aids to prison breaking in his pressure suit, in the event his Omni-tool was taken...
After an unexpectant check of the armor caches, Delan caught up to Sal.
"Salarian" (kss), he said, "I won't pose well as a Black Suns mercenary" (kss) "But as distraction, or even a prisoner, I'm your Volus." (kss)
"And I'm in on the Turian's rescue attempt..." (kss)(OOC: GeneralXIV )

Kalia wasted no time. She undressed quickly from her leather outfit, well aware that there were people watching. She set her bag down on the floor, and took the newly acquired business clothing from it, and started to get changed. Her outfit was... a little different than the one she originally picked out. The one Aleeta hadnt let her buy. It was a strapless formal dress, and finished mid-thigh. Once she had the dress on, she removed a pair of fake glasses and put those on too, trying to make herself look as business-like as possible. "What do you think, huh?" she asked, "Enough to convince someone?" Of course it was. She looked great. She bundled her leather outfit into her thieving bag, but kept the visor just in case. She strapped a holster around her thigh, and fit her M-11 Suppressor into it. Her sword was a little harder to fit, but she eventually managed to make sure no one could see it under her dress. The holster had a few spaces for ammo, so she placed a few thermal clips there, and fit the rest into her bra, because she had nowhere else. The dress was definitely lacking in pockets. "I want to go and help Aleeta," she said, "As much as it hurts to admit it, I miss Dizzy. She was fun. She reminds me of my mom. Always telling me what to do, got pretty mad about nothing... I like her. Plus saving her life will show who is boss, which is me of course. So while most of you guys are fighting and shooting all the bad guys, thats something for me to do... right? Before I start fighting and shooting all the bad guys that is." [OOC Space Cowboy ]

Sal had to chuckle at Kalia's stated motivations for rescuing Aleeta. One reason is as good as the next. "You two can pose as prisoners, or business associates if you wish, escorted by Kato and Justice, pretending to be Black Sun. I will be right behind you acting as a lookout. Once we trick them into letting us through security, we will look for a terminal to hack, find any mention of prisoners. Key is to discover where they are holding Aleeta, as well as finding an exit strategy. We can stay on coms and contact each other as necessary." He looked at Justice and Kato. "Once inside, and have the information we need, we can blast our way to the cell as needed. If we play our cards right we'll have the element of surprise. Now, if Larry has the info.." Sal checked his onmitool, and opened a file, displaying it in a holoscreen for the others. "Lets see, yes.. these are the plans for the warehouse the Black Suns have taken over as their base. The entrance is walled off with security cameras and two turrets. If, for some reason, we can't bluff our way past them we will have to take out those turrets the old fashioned way. Once in, there is a lobby and a set of offices at the front of the building, with a large room full of warehouse bots and sorting equipment to the back. One we clear the offices, we can hack a terminal, and get a general direction to investigate. Once we do that, Kalia can find Aleeta while the rest of us provide cover for her." [OOC think Miranda's mission in ME2] "There are multiple floors. One up and two down. The tracker should at least tell us which way to head. I suspect we will find the largest concentration of troops in the offices. There's bound to be some nasty surprises as well. Bots and turrets throughout the warehouses, perhaps a gunship patrolling one of the larger rooms." "Now, I suggest we discuss strategy on the way. Aleeta may not have much time, and we are sitting in an enemy safehouse." Sal led them to the shuttles, and they were soon on their way. They arrived in a little used sector of Omega, known for being rough, and hostile to outsiders. Luckily with their disguises, they would blend in if no one took too close a look. Eventually they reached the block containing the warehouse. Sal quickly tapped his omnitool, preparing a hacking algorithm for the turrets should they need them. "OK, I hope you've all agreed on a plan for the approach. We'll be going in together, but what's our story?" [OOC Tagging SofaJockey ]

Sal had finished outlining the basics: "OK, I hope you've all agreed on a plan for the approach. We'll be going in together, but what's our story?" Delan had been assessing ruse probabilities: - he'd hoped to pose as some kind of trader with Kalia as his business associate, but he was struggling with how convincing that would be...
- Pretend to be a Shadow Broker agent? No, far too dangerous.
- A lackey for Aria? Just as dangerous a ploy and easily checked.
- Some illicit off-Omega shipping? No, that would just require some palms greasing with credits, not thugs.
(and there wasn't much on Omega that was truly off-limits)
Delan glanced at Kalia, who was trying to look business-like, but to Delan's eyes this was being quite unsuccessful. Whilst not to the Volus' personal taste, Delan broadly understood what lumps and bumps on earthclan females the taller races found pleasing and Kalia's business atire was fooling no-one.
Turning to Kalia, Delan said:
"These thugs won't be fooled by a simple commercial deal, they need additional motivation" (kss) "The Batarians are slave traders, they'll be interested in a fit and agile 'consort' for rich patrons under their control or to resell" (kss) "I've watched you using your body to distract and assuage doubts, you can do that nicely here." (kss)
"The Krogan can hold your leash and I'll negotiate the deal" (kss) "If we're lucky we can escort you to their holding cells", perhaps near Aleeta." (kss) "if not, we'll be inside and can take more direct action..." (kss)
"I may not like hugs, but that's all those guards will be thinking about..." (kss) (*snort*)
Delan had allowed his respirator a little gurgle as an indication of a joke, a wink didn't go very far in a pressure suit.
If he was going to be putting his life in the hands of the earthclan and the Krogan, he didn't want any tension between them.

Justice did his best to fight off the tiredness he was experiencing. He really needs to slow down in using biotics sometimes. He was slightly annoyed at Kalia undressing in front of them and changing into a formal dress complete with glasses trying to look attractive and formal at the same time. "What do you think, huh?" she asked, "Enough to convince someone?" "Probably" Justice shrugged "Don't think any aliens will be seduced by you though. Maybe a few Krogan, but you'll have to do a mating ritual to reel them in which I think you'll a find some of our rituals a little..... lewd." Delean turned to Kalia and said These thugs won't be fooled by a simple commercial deal, they need additional motivation" (kss) "The Batarians are slave traders, they'll be interested in a fit and agile 'consort' for rich patrons under their control or to resell I've watched you using your body to distract and assuage doubts, you can do that nicely here." (kss) The Krogan can hold your leash and I'll negotiate the deal" (kss)If we're lucky we can escort you to their holding cells", perhaps near Aleeta." (kss) if not, we'll be inside and can take more direct action..." (kss) As the Volus was talking Justice started to get a good idea what the plan was. "Sounds good!" Justice exclaimed "Sell your self as a slave trader and have Kalia as a slave to the Black Suns. Kalia is quite attractive." Justice was immediately flustered realizing what he said. The human might take that out of context "For a human." He finished sighing. "I doubt Kalia alone will get them to listen." The Krogan continued "Which is why I propose that I'll also be a slave with the human. Krogan slaves fetch high prices on the slave markets thanks to our natural strength and resilience to the elements. Kalia you'll need to seduce them in order to really get the mercs to pay attention to you. I know I've said it may not work, but as a potential slave to sell they may like you. So turn up the charm! For me? I'm a young 150 year old Krogan, so I should grab attention." Justice paused then continued. "Once a deal has been reached the guards will escort Kalia and I to hopefully where Aleeta is being kept. Delan, try to keep them busy as long as you can because once we free Aleeta." Justice glowed light blue. "I'm gonna have some fun." ( GeneralXIV )

[OOC: a collaboration and also very long] Kalia rolled her eyes, "Great. More bondage." She realized no one around would get the reference to her conversation with Aleeta before, so added, "Private joke. You kind of had to be there. But seriously, what the hell is wrong with you people? One kept giving me rules, another is suggesting I pretend to be a slave... is there something about me which says "this person obviously wants to be subservient!"? Is it the leather? It had to be the leather. Im just saying, but a girl can wear leather without it being kinky. Just putting that out there." "I might have to adjust my outfit a little," she said, discarding her glasses, "A rip here, a tear there and Ill look convincing. With... not respect... what is the word im looking for...? Ah yes, doubt, Mr Krogan, it has to look convincing... and the difference between you and I?" She started to tremble, hugging herself tightly, her eyes watering as she sobbed, "Pl... pl... please sir, dont sell me to the Batarian... Ill do anything you ask... I... I swear." Kalia coughed, wiping away the fake tears, "I can do that. I also have some rope in my bag if you want to tie my hands. It wont hold me long anyway. So whats the deal, huh? You pretend to sell me, I get close to them and take them out? By the way, if you sell me for anything less than a 100k I wont be happy. Preferably a few million. Priceless goods here, you need to make sure they pay the right price. But if this goes wrong, and I end up being a Batarians personal whore for the rest of my life, Im not going to be happy with you guys. Ill be really, really mad." She drew her sword, starting to cut slits in her dress. She mainly focused on the bottom, making a jagged edge as if her dress was worn. She also cut the neckline, being careful not to stab herself. Because that would have been an embarrassing way to die. 'Kalia Allen, stabbed by her own sword while trying to dress like a slave' wouldnt be the best thing to have written on her grave. It for sure wasnt what she wanted to be remembered for. Once her dress was suitably cut in revealing places, she sheathed her sword. She removed a small length of rope from her bag and passed it to Delan, who bound her hands behind her back. "You seem like youve done this before," she joked, "I bet those Volus girls like this kind of thing, huh?" She quietly whispered to Justice, "Personally, I think you would have made a good slave... but you just need to work on your looks, your acting, your smell too, maybe. I dont think it would be very convincing, but hey, maybe next time? Next time you can be the slave and Ill be holding your leash." She made the sound of a cracking whip just for emphasis. Justice seemed to begrudgingly accept his suggestion being turned down. Delan, meanwhile, seemed to be acting a little more friendly than he had been when she had tried to hug him. She guessed it was because they were a 'team' of sorts, and they could end up being reliant on each other. "Lets go." (kss) Delan said, making his way to the entrance of the Black Suns base. There was a panel beside the door with an intercom system and what looked to be a small camera. Delan was leading, whereas Justice seemed to be leading her. "Am I the only one who is really, really, really excited about this?" she whispered quietly. "Be quiet, human," came the retort from Justice. Delan pushed a button on the intercom system, and spoke into it, "Greetings," (kss) he said, "We have a slave we wish to sell." (kss) "We hear you are in the trade," (kss) he continued, "So naturally, we came to you for business." (kss) The camera on the intercom moved slightly as whoever it was on the other side of the door looked at the volus, the human and the krogan stood outside. "Come on in," said a distinctly Batarian voice through the intercom, before adding, "Try anything and you will be killed." The door slid open with the sound of grinding metal, and Delan led the way into the base. The Batarian sat at a terminal gave the group a quick glance, before speaking into a communicator on his head, "We have company. A volus wanting to sell." A few moments later, a group of Black Suns members emerged from elsewhere in the base. A Batarian looked to be the person buying, although there were two humans, a Batarian and two Turians with him armed with shotguns; probably providing security. "Is this her?" the Batarian asked, "The human?" "Yes," (kss} Delan replied, "This is the slave we would like to sell." "Human slut," Justice added, pushing her forward a little. Kalia looked at the Batarian with large, scared eyes, gently fingering the rope binding her hands. The Batarian moved closer to her, stepping around her as if she was having some kind of examination. "Good condition," he grunted, "Good size. Good looking." He turned to one of his human comrades, "What do you think?" "She looks good," said the human, "She can service the patrons. We could earn quite a few credits from her. Im sure they will be most pleased." "Twenty thousand credits for the bitch," the Batarian said to Delan, "Take it or leave it." "That is acceptable," (kss} came the reply from Delan. Twenty thousand??? Was that all??? Pfft, she was going to kill him first. And probably not be too happy with Delan for not trying to increase the price even by just a little bit. "Come, we will sort your payment in the room back here. Safer." She saw Delan and Justice exchange glances, obviously a little suspicious about being taken somewhere more private. Justice hauled her forward, and they followed the Batarian and his guards into a large room. It looked relatively empty for somewhere for paying people for slaves, but Kalia had no idea what rooms for paying people for slaves were actually supposed to look like, so maybe it was normal. A guard closed the door behind them, and she was quickly grabbed from behind by one of the Batarians and pulled across the room. "Kill the Krogan," said the Batarian, "Take the Volus and the human and put them in the slave pens." The guards raised their weapons. Kalia slipped her hands from the knot and quickly punched the Batarian buyer very hard in one of his eyes. She saw Justices biotics flaring and Delan pulling out his own weapon to stop him being from taken captive too. Kalia drew her pistol from her thigh, shooting the Batarian in the head with barely a sound made from her suppressed weapon. Gunfire lit up the room around her, and the blue-purple pulse from a biotic charge sent a Turian flying over her head. Kalia was grabbed by one of the humans, but she countered it by swinging her body upwards, scissoring her legs around the back of his head. She twisted her body to spin around him before swinging her legs down, throwing him heavily to the ground in a takedown. She put a bullet in his head just to be sure. "Everyone ok?" she asked, "Come on, twenty thousand?" She gave the Batarians body a swift kick, "You should have paid more." Kalia checked her tracking device quickly, "Oh, look, a signal."
