After 4 games of swimming through molasses as the host (seriously biover how is this even a thing) I ended up with 3 vocal pugs who, on Wave 3 Devices, would get to the device, stop and stare at it, waiting for someone else to get on it, then start bitching over their mic for someone to get on it.
Wave 5 we got an Ascendant who sync killed the entire team, leaving them all to spectate as I spent the next 2 minutes demonstrating how to 1- shoot the drone, and 2- dodge the BIG GLOWING ORANGE FUCKING BALL THAT HE ONLY SHOOTS ONCE EVERY TEN SECONDS AND IS IMPOSSIBLE TO NOT SEE COMING A MILE AFREAKINGWAY. They all shut up after that.
Then on Wave 6 targets I had to solo that too.
I don't know/don't care how many of them extracted.
It seems people are settling on the Outlaw as being the easiest faction, so I've landed in a bunch of Outlaw presets. Either way, the last two silver PUGs we managed 3/4 extraction. People still seem to like to rush the LZ - it does seem to be harder to hang back and not have the enemies come after you though. There are enough of them that they seem to go after you even if you're alone on the other side of the map.
Getting extractions on pretty much every game. The wait for that 4th player to ready up is a pain, I stay in the lobby for two min in a new pug then leave as I don't want to waste my trial time, all in all have run into some pretty good pugs this weekend.

I'm leaving the lobby after each match so not to do that to everyone as I buy packs and assign points.

Objectives...
As is...."why the f**k aren't you nubs playing the objectives?"
Bronze on the ice station map, Wave 3 and its devices...being a rubber band -fest had made it hard enough, but when I am the only one trying to deactivate while the 3 other mouth breathers were point scoring on the other side of the map.
I went down and refused to use any supplies to prolong this fail-fest, I watched as the other three got picked off as the spawns just kept coming and getting worse as they failed to switch off one device.

Sometimes, I cannot find where the objectives are. The minimap shows only the direction, in half of the games there is no announcement at all that you can hear. In first 4 or 5 games I could not jump as high as needed to get up there until I finally realized you have to actually hold the jump button for a little bit to make it go higher. Holing RMB makes you hover. This is not in the key bindings, no, not mentioned, not important. Sometimes I just love Bioware so much. And the HUD is very confusing, too many elements. Also, sometimes, the timer is just not there. And devices are pretty difficult to activate because the button frequently gets stuck and even a simple hit may interrupt you. It will hopefully get better as people get used to the game.
Also, people don't realize they can use consumables. I now have 4 rockets and 3 medigel capacity already and I played just 9 hours, half of which was essentially wasted. Rockets are not overpowered though. I was the only one using them. I think, people just don't know as there is no sound, only aiming cursor changes and even that is hard to see on some background. The game is one big chaos, but it'll settle down, give it a few weeks.
Ideally, objectives got to be printed in huge bold red flashing letters and siren whaling announcement at the beginning of the wave.

Extraction
Pretty much all of my PUGs so far. Rushing and trying to hold the extraction area is a thing. Made it to wave 7 every time so far. Been still alive as the timer hit 0 twice, once we had a full extract. The sheer amount of crap they throw at you during extract is insane, and this is Bronze.
I don't know what the right strategy is, but trying to fight off the horde over 2 minutes can't be it.

I can't even figure out what some of the objectives "are". Had one with three marks on the map and something on the HUD saying "disconnected" or something. Went to one of the hack circles and stood in it without any idea what was going on. Eventually, we completed it, but I don't know how. Also I've run to try and do devices, but I can't find anything to interact with. As for jetting higher, I couldn't figure it out at all. Finally found out that I could go higher if I was running first, so that is how I got onto roofs. Hover was a complete accident discovering. You are dead on regarding the lack of information on how to do things in MP.

Uh, don't know, I think difficulty is fine, it is actually less difficult for me than ME3 MP was in the beginning and most certainly less difficult than DAIMP was at start. There is plenty of cover, enemies are quite weak, you have lots of consumables and lag is the main culprit as usual. You can run like a headless chicken on extraction wave and typically you won't get hit much. It takes some effort, bad luck or spike of lag to become cornered and stun-locked. Most of the enemies are quite slow moving and only a few can hit you through walls and cover. IMHO, mobility is the key to survival. Probably, silver is playable right away by some better players and gold should be reasonable at around level 10-12 even for scrubby messy newb like me with friends and probably at level 14-16 with pugs.
I'm pretty sure difficulty will be bumped up a notch soon by Bioware either through nerfing weapons/powers/shields/gear or buffing enemy stats. IMO, bronze is fine as it is and silver is not that hard. have not played any gold yet but from what I've seen so far, it is not much harder, no visible huge gap like in ME3, pretty gradual. The enemies in ME3 were more ... creative with more BS and dirty tricks up their sleeve. Overall, ME3 had more attention to details, very thorough, very polished despite all glitches. MEA feels rough on the edges.

One of a few tings that hasen't changed....I stay away and a few times the only one extracted. One player asked why I didn't stay with them I said well because I wanted a ride home and holding the LZ is not the way to do it in my limited experience...
People make a big fuss over the objectives, but sometimes only the host can actually do 'em. You guys never experienced that bug where you have to hold E and then it keeps stopping? After a while, people figure it happens all the time and don't even bother with that particular one. The other objectives have their own problems, but the problem with those isnt mechanical.

I was going to ask about this. I am VERY impatient waiting in lobbies. In me3mp I stay for about 30 seconds and I almost always leave the lobby after a match if i have to level up or buy stuff.
Hopped onto MP as soon I woke up and pugged for four hours. The first couple of hours were great. The team worked together to do objectives, revive teammates, combos galore. We breezed through every match. Then the connection issues started and I was going all over the place. The next few matches were hit and miss. Mostly it was just me doing the objectives (surprise) and keeping everyone alive. The last match was an utter mess. Wipe on wave 4 against Kett. It was every man for himself and it did not end pretty. I decided it was time for a break after that.
