I have an idiotic question to ask. There is one evolution of snap freeze where you have to choose between 'area' and 'diameter' i think. Whats the difference? One is the width of the cone i would guess. I'm easily confused, don't judge me! I believe that you are refering to Rank 4 (which can be misleading at a glance), it's actually Damage vs Radius. I actually always pick Radius, because the damage will never be good.

Artificer! megawug was helping me out for a couple of days, so we had lots of fast gold games for challenges. Folks are very nice, and no problems finding the games. Mostly on Derelict (groan). I also see really new folks too, which is nice. I am up to level 19 on my Architect, and the MF boxes gave me the baby Artificer, the other kit with Remnant pet. Now I just have to decide which skill to ignore so now I have the Jugernaur and Artificer. Two more to go! The silver weapons variants are still building up, and building up...

I was actually lucky to also get another rank on my BScrapper, but the other two boxes were kits I do not want to play. But that’s how it goes.... I added up all the remaining ranks on my silver variants, and it came up to 130 to go, so it will be a while till I can add boxes to MFs to earn the gold character unlocks.

Level 12 Rank 1 Artificer would be what I would consider the "essential" parts of an Artificer build, likely maxing Cryo Beam next (still doable for Rank 1), then I put the last points into Remnant VI for +50% VI Health. And it's my go-to Platinum Character (Equalizer, Silhesh, and Rozerad are my main weapons for her, but any good SMG will suffice, even Charger S, her debuffs make ANY gun good on Platinum). EDIT: Still Rank 1 for me, also.

I know you good folks recommend the SMG, but I am really tired of Hornet's finger workout, so I am back to Cyclone and, well, want to try other guns. Like that raptor you were saying is a Sniper Rifle with a difference.

Like that raptor you were saying is a Sniper Rifle with a difference. Invasion has a few really nifty advantages, not the least of which is 30% Defense debuff. It also has a noticable DoT, and an AoE explosion when enemies are at low health, the spreading is just icing on the cake. It's definitely worth more than just getting the challenge points. As to guns, I've never been a fan of burst fire weapons. I'd also recomment the Avenger S over the Cyclone (MAYBE even the Revenant or X5 Ghost), Charger S and Equalizer (With extended Mag) are also good full-autos. I don't know your exact manifest state, so it can be hard to compare/suggest. Personally, I quite enjoy the S variants of the commons, sure, they bloat the already huge rare pool, but they are pretty good weapons.

My Cyclone is high level Syphon (VII, I think), while all golden stuff is unvarianted, with ranks I to III (Predator S and Ghost are at V gods only know why), so I really appreciate the ease of use and health benefits of syphon-cycloning. Basically, my Manifest is in the state of unlocking the Silver Variants ranks (which range from I to X), with the odd golden unlocks that pop up in the silver loot boxes once in a while. Overall, I prefer to use what I am unlocking, as it feels more rewarding and keeps me invested into playing, b/c if all the silver variants are garbage, it's really feels like earning millions just to pay for the privilege of reaching the gold weapons. I just wanna feel like I am working on something I am using.

Raptor has a small clip, but does better burst damage (works well with power spammers), Cyclone has good sustained dps, so better with weapons characters like the Turian Soldier. Either would work with the Artificer, but since she lacks DR (she does have healing though), the Raptor is probably better, so if you have a Siphon variant of that (Or even concusive, seen players really tear it up with a concusive Raptor), it should work well.

Yup, I have Raptor Siphon, so I will give that a shot on her, because I play with Cyclon on my Architect atm. Looking forward to trying the kit out, though I am not sure which order I will go in after the Salarian.

I think she might need the first point of Defense Drone for it to work properly, but honestly, it's worth focusing on that to at least rank 4 (recharge speed for Drone actions), as the Stunning Shock and Shield Heal are of GREAT help, that stunning shock has saved myself (and my team!) countless times on Platinum, and it alone would make the character good, add in Invasion, and you're ready to go.

No, but I DID talk our host into All-Juggs for my last match. Sorry I couldn't stick around, hands are worse than usual today, so I was struggling (even in the Silver) a lot today.

Glad to see there are still others out there in the world of ME:A PUGing!! I am on the US West Coast, and I PUG gold on PC regularly in the evening. I don't have any problem finding games on PC in the prime hours. Of course, the quality of the players needs to be scrutinized a bit, as in any PUG match. At least, you need to guess who may or may not be reliable. Lately I have had some great PUG matches with experienced gold players, and it has been a blast. It has helped me improve using the right character/weapon/boosters to help the team. (It really helps playing with better players; I am still a gold scrub, but I will revive my teammates.) Now that I have all my Rare characters at XX and Rare Siphon weapons at X, the extra character bonuses really help make some characters come alive.
TL;DR I can't believe I am still playing this game, and I am glad it's still going!
