Solo.. almost. Platinum Apex, 1l2l, Paradox, Juggz + PAW Siphon + PAW Concussive + disruptor I + shield III. Yepp, carrying happened on every wave. PUGs were trying, and werent bad, but should know when to move their asses... What were the objectives? Were you running around or did you set up strategic camp in the cave? Thankfully they were pizzas. I camped at the left side from LZ, behind the kett radiator when had to

PUGs Don’t Want to be Carried?
Started the Platinum Daily solo today (Remnant, Sandstorm, Empty Resupply) with my trusty Juggernaut (PAW and Inferno). Two people joined on the Wave 2 Boss but they left soon after dying while I was killing the boss Progenitor.
Back to soloing. Got Devices for Wave 4 and Boss again for Wave 6. I killed the boss Progenitor with absolutely zero time left on the clock (it didn’t open its mouth). With like 5 seconds left, I had to switch to my Inferno to take down the remaining armor.
Someone joined at the end of Wave 7. Easy credits for that Asari Huntress who appeared in the LZ as the timer went off!

After a lengthy hiatus, I started another SP run, so I've also been playing some MEAMP for the last several weeks. I'm encouraged by the number of (presumably new?) low-level apex players I'm seeing in the lobbies - including a few with apex zero. I've been playing mostly bronze, sometimes silver, and am having a blast currying a lot of them. I'm trying to make it really enjoyable for them, so they'll want to keep playing. I make sure the objectives get done, rezz them, and otherwise hold back so they can score well. My toons are maxed after all, and they are trying to grow theirs.
OTOH, I'm a bit discouraged by the rash of mid-game disconnects I've been experiencing of late. That and the whole shots not registering, occasional rubber-banding. After a slew of off-host games I'd lost faith in my aim. Finally hosted one, which restored it - but even then, some shots don't seem to register.
Notes from a few of these matches:
- I played several Nimbus matches with one particular player who never managed to help much with the objectives. S/he finally decided to help on a pizza wave. Picked up the pizza and then went all over the map killing enemies, showing no intention of actually getting it to the LZ. I finally chased them down, shot at them, melee'ed them a couple of times, and they got moving. I then followed them around for awhile, and when the krogan on our team joined me in chasing this player around, I think they finally got the message and headed for the LZ. I'm hoping they learned the difference between disable objectives and retrieval objectives. I picked up the final pizza and got it to the LZ in the nick of time.
- Joined a match in progress on Vertigo - W3 pizza, both teammates down. I managed to rezz one (it was too late for the other), another player joined shortly after me, and the 2 active players were able to manage the enemies while I finished delivering the pizzas. We all extracted.
- On Derelict, the 2 noobs of course immediately populate the LZ at the start of W7. There's a pair of destroyers marching up the aisle toward them. I was fairly busy with other enemies, but did manage to peel off all 4 turrets (viva la Hurricane!) before they got there, and the noobs were able to deal with the rest.
- Magma, hack circle in the middle of the lower deck. 2 noobs went down ~ 5-10 meters from the circle. I left the circle to rezz them, and they immediately went up the stairs to the perch while I returned to the hack. When it was ~ 80% complete, they seemed to "remember" they could help, and came down to the circle for the last bit. It was pretty funny.
I could tell more stories, but that's enough for this entry. Some of these noobs show great promise, and I think will be very worthy teammates as they grow their toons and get better gear.

At least those low level APEX players knew to be in bronze or silver. I have been seeing APEX 0 players in my Platinum matches! Some go straight to the LZ and get downed almost immediately. I rez them and run away, but they stay at the LZ! How many times would you do that before giving up and letting them learn the hard way?

^Yeah, that's crazy. There's only so much you can do. Noobs have no business trying to play platinum. I don't even go into gold matches without good equipment plus boosters.
Speaking of platinum, I tried a few matches when it was first released. Managed to extract most of the time, thanks to some great teammates. I usually brought the turian soldier and was dealing with 3 other stealth toons, so guess who was the recipient of their aggro dump and needed frequent rezzing? That became highly unfun for any non-stealth toon very quickly.
That, of course, has changed - people have figured it out and are using a variety of toons now, instead of going all stealth. I might try it again sometime.
I have enjoyed watching your solo vids.

Well, Stealther's aren't the only way to play (Kineticist! ), but having one (stealther) in the group is more ideal than if there isn't one around just in case the others end up leaving (DC'ing, dying, etc) the stealther on their own during a Hack/Upload (and at that point, Stealth is likely your only way of completing such runs unless replacement help comes in quick). Had a lovely Platinum Hyper Shields in progress PuG run (joined wave 2), 3 existing Stealthers, so I took my Kineticist in of course. A slight hairy moment during Wave 4 Hack as the spot was one of the worse ones (It's below the stairs up to the top left camping corner). But the group handled it easily enough, even managed to show off my often vaunted "tanking" of the enemies there to help keep aggro off the hack zone (think the Stealthers were not fully in sync yet at that time otherwise I'd have had a lot more aggro on me to take away from the zone). Just wished I remembered to ask everyone in voice to put up that runs footage before I dropped group after the run, now I will now need to find, add and message everyone to get their permission before I post it up for demonstration of the Kineticist style of play I recommend. Ah well. Still, a smooth run is a smooth run. Wouldn't be able to do anything even with Stealth when a host rubber bands, lags and DC's you (eventually).

Sounds like a LearnToStealth problem.
Only stealth right before an attack, or when doing an objective.

Welcome to Wave 5!
Was doing yesterday’s Platinum daily (Vertigo, Outlaws, Go for the Eyes). Started it solo and made it to Wave 5 (Boss / Boss for first two objectives) before people joined (one high APEX, the other two around 8-10K). With three others to split the enemy attention, the rest of the match went by smoothly (Wave 6 was Devices). Thanks for joining and enjoy the credits, PUGs!

Level 1, Rank 1 in Platinum
To close off my evening, I started up a Platinum Kett on Firebase Sandstorm match by myself. Soloed the first wave, and a new player (Human Vanguard) joined on Wave 2 Retrieval. He immediately started dying over and over. He wasn’t reviving himself, so I let him die and finished the wave myself. Wave 3. Same thing. I had already gone down trying to save him once, and I wasn’t going to do that again. Wave 4 was Retrieval again, and once again, I pretty much did the objective and wave completion myself. Wave 5 and we got another random (Asari Huntress). This was a tough wave with the Blaze Hydra and Anointed downing me a couple of times (I gelled myself).
Wave 6 rolls along and it’s Devices. I figured the Huntress would do this, but no. It’s up to me to get it done. At least the Huntress cloaked me a couple of times. After the last device, I let them know on mic that it was their turn to finish the wave, since I had done much of the work up till now. I waited and waited. There was lots of running around from my two teammates, but nothing was dying. After 5 minutes of watching this, I started getting rid of everything left on the battlefield: Destined, Anointed, Sharpshooters, one Berserker, and the Ascendant.
Now there were two Berserkers and the lone Behemoth left. They can do this right? The Vanguard kept dying after charging into the Berserker twins. To her credit, the Huntress did go in and revive the Vanguard several times (I launched Flak Cannon to stun the Berserkers so she could do her reviving in peace). The Huntress tried in vain to Lance the Berserkers to no avail. I finished one Berserker and the Behemoth, and whittled the armor on the last Berserker to the point where the Vanguard could finally dispatch it with his Katana.
At extraction, I was like, “You’re on your own.” I had no gels left and one first aid kit. A fourth person joined a minute into extraction. With 20 seconds to go, I made my way to the LZ. My teammates were there, along with two Ascendants, and Anointed, and the Behemoth! I dodged my way to the shuttle, but two of us didn’t make it.
In the lobby, I saw that the Huntress was around APEX 2800 and was armed with a Black Widow I and a Charger pistol (I think). The Vanguard was now a Level 5, APEX ~500, which meant that this must have been his first match! I sent him a message that, with respect, he really shouldn’t be playing Platinum. He replied that he played a lot of ME3 and wanted to rank up fast in MEA. I told him that’s fine, but not with a Level 1, Rank 1 Human Vanguard armed with a Katana!
He then asked me to teach him how to play, to which I told him to watch my YouTube videos.

He's from Star Wars .. Battle.. Front? II? I dunno. Something like that, and he wanted to level up faster, so I took him to gold and platinums. Mostly gold, because .. "that’s fine, but not with a Level 1, Rank 1 Human Vanguard armed with a Katana!"

Been in a few runs last couple of days in similar situation regarding new players, but had better outcomes. 1. In one run, Gold difficulty mission, a <300 APEX player joined in, and the host wanted to boot them. I pretended to not see that vote to kick, as I felt that kicking on Gold was unnecessary, especially since the host was 20k themselves, so not exactly lacking in gear or skill by then. Heck, I'd solo it if I had to, but I'd want those newer players to have something to work with after a run. Subsequently the host left and the hosting position came to me. Started it, completed it no issues. The players tagged along my Duelist and contributed as well as anyone could with a new account and were able to get an Expert pack at the very least from that run to progress into the MP game. A good upcoming player that one. 2. Platinum mission, weakpoint bonus, another <500 APEX player, this time was hosting. Normally I'd drop as I too feel that certain players shouldn't be in something where they are likely to contribute very little if anything at all, or get carried so much in a run that they'd feel like that was normal. But because I had scoured the lobbies prior to getting that one, I knew that there was no lobbies open on any other difficulty. So I switched to my Huntress to let this new player have this one run on me (assuming objectives weren't too harsh). Had another low APEX player join in mid way wave 3, and thankfully another high APEX player joined in a bit after that on an Avenger. Thanks to the help of that other player, we were able to get wave 6 hack, the whole team succesfully extracted, and the two new players were able to witness how to Stealth hack the run well (we were cloaking outside the circle then dashing back in, so the players got that info quickly enough). Two new players were able to get a few more packs that time and some experience with stealth too. Liked this one (outcome) a lot; should be two new quality PC players who should be joining the player list soon. Still unconvinced normally that carrying is a good idea (especially on Platinum), but really glad these turned out well. The Gold or less difficulty doesn't make a difference in completion times really to me, so I don't mind giving those away, especially if the players learn the ropes from the run. But unfortunately I do recognise that this appears to be more the exception than the rule.

I hope that, when they were permanently down during the wave, they were watching my gameplay, rather than taking a break and not following the action. That way, they could at least learn how to use cover, know when to retreat, and how to handle certain enemies.
On Gold, I’ll play with any low APEX. Platinum can be so unforgiving, though. If they get downed like that Vanguard yesterday (often on the ground level of Sandstorm), trying to revive them means putting yourself at extreme risk of getting downed yourself.

Yeah, that's been the case since forever (for MEAMP) as far as I can remember. High APEX players rocking gear I can only dream of having, playing worse than a low APEX player. Really raises the eyebrows. Either whales spending to get that high, or just leeching off other players until they got that high. *shrugs* Anyway, back to the grind.

On PC, there's a certain few players I usually run into on Plat. All of them have maxed manifests and over 100K APEX ratings. They play nothing but Avengers, talk to each other non-stop and are surprisingly crap at times. Over-reliance on stealth, probably.

Frustrating … find a good pug, but the host/client connection won't cooperate. Been that way for me since the Apr Win10 update. EA Help … isn't.
