Bit of a mad run, but Jenna went and picked up the Reaper IFF, and as a bonus, like buy one get one free, she picked up a talkative geth as well. (Only died once! This must be a record! It was the last two scions. Mordin, as ever, got a bit over enthusiastic and decided to attack them from close range. I've noticed he does that, running off into the middle distance after the biggest thing he can see, usually a krogan... Samara followed him, probably concerned for Mordin's safety, but they were both cut down and that meant both scions rounded on me.). After that, Jenna turned the geth on, named him Legion and learnt that all the geth she'd fought so far were Reaper worshipping heretics, and that Legion wanted to blow them up. Well, killing close friends and family for her friends is rapidly becoming a habit, so Jenna went off to do that. (That got a bit dicey, not having tactical cloak made the run to the exit very tight.) Following that EDI had set up the IFF so it was off on a shuttle trip to nowhere in particular while the Collectors invaded the Normandy. Joker, bless him, did his little best and saved the ship. (Kind of worried why Shep isn't more concerned about Joker here. I wanted a "for crying out loud Miranda, give the guy a break!" option.) Then, having little other business to follow up, and concerned for the crew, Shep ordered the Normandy through the Omega 4 Relay. Everything went to plan (i'm a sentimental fool who hates killing people off) and Jenna emerged a hero.
Ah well, let's roll the clock forwards 6 months.

I don't understand your comment about an unloyal Grunt on Utukku (Rachni Queen/Breeder, Missing Krogan scouts mission). The one time I had an unloyal Grunt in ME3, he survived that mission.
I believe he will survive regardless if you pick Aralakh over the rachni, but if you pick the rachni queen, he will die if not loyal.
I've always had him loyal so can someone else confirm this?
You got it right... I've done that once. Shep just stares and Grunt never comes out.

My first PT, I would have thrown the game out the airlock if Grunt hadn't survived, after losing both Mordin and Thane on back to back missions. That would have been the last straw.

More Shawna Shepard:
1. Recruiting Jack a. Docked at the prison ship Purgatory. It was run by Blue Suns mercs. No one was friendly (Shawna was the meanest).
b. Had a brief chat with the warden. He is an interesting fellow.
c. Told one of the mercs to stop beating on a prisoner. He thought she was joking. Shawna does not joke. He soon realized that she does not joke. The beating stopped.
d. And then the warden tried to trap Shepard so he could sell her for a big profit. Shepard told him to go to hell. He sent a bunch of mercs and mechs after her. It did not end well for them.
e. Shepard started a prison riot by letting everyone out of their cells. Jack came out of cryo and punched through three YMIR mechs.
f. Shepard chased after Jack. A lot of mercs and a couple of YMIR mechs stood between her and Jack's destination. She killed them all.
g. The warden tried to kill Shepard to salvage the situation. Shepard put a bullet between his eyes.
h. Shawna convinced Jack to come aboard the Normandy. Miranda was not happy about it, but that pleased Jack. Jack does not like Cerberus.
2. Horizon: a. The Illusive Man called, telling Shawna that Horizon just went silent. She left right away.
b. Mordin created a countermeasure for the seeker swarms, just in time.
c. Shawna arrived just in time to be attacked by the Collectors. The best repellent for giant bugs are lots of bullets.
d. They came across a lot of frozen colonists. The Collectors had started to abduct the colony. They also ran into a lot of husks, but no Dragon's Teeth. The Geth got that technology from Sovereign That was the link between the Collectors and Reapers that they needed.
e. The Collector General, called Harbinger, started to possess a bunch of Collectors. Flashbang shut him down.
f. Found a mechanic that had hid in a bunker when the swarms had attacked. He did not trust the Alliance. Neither does Shawna.
g. More Collectors and husks and a Scion. No more colonists; they were already taken to the Collector Ship. Then Shawna opened the door to the defense towers and sniped a Scion to death, then sniped some armor off another Scion. Went in and killed the remaining Scion and a few more husks.
h. Defense Towers activate! Defended the defense towers from Collectors, husks, and a Praetorian. The Ship flew away before it started to take critical damage.
i. The mechanic yelled at Shepard. Then Ashley showed up and got angry when she found out Shepard worked for Cerberus. Then everyone left on bad terms.
3. Illium a. Helped Gianna Parsini with a bust.
b. Talked with Liara. Helped her with some hacking, and then exposed her assistant as a mole for the Shadow Broker. Helped a Feros colonist renegotiate a contract.
c. Met Conrad Verner. Kneed him in the groin. An Asari was posing as an undercover cop; got her arrested. Yelled at Conrad Verner so he would stop trying to imitate Shepard.
4. Killed some Geth and disabled their weather device.
5. Fought a Blood Pack merc band and shut down their weapons manufacturing facility.
6. Picked up the Hammerhead. Recovered some research data.
7. Took the Hammerhead to a research base in a volcano. Destabilized the volcano trying to extract some research data, had to book it out of there really fast.
8. Went to an old Prothean ruin in the Hammerhead. Destroyed some shield generators to take down a giant kinetic barrier. Recovered a Prothean sphere.
9. Recruited Thane a. Met with an Asari who took me to Dantius Towers. Found some mechs shooting Salarians.
b. Talked with a wounded Salarian. He died.
c. Killed a bunch of Eclipse mercs and mechs. Rescued some Salarian workers who had been locked inside by Thane for their safety.
d. Picked up the Viper (wooo!). Killed a Krogan and some engineers who came down in an elevator.
e. Pushed a guy out of a window.
f. Rescued more Salarian workers. Punched one of them.
g. More mercs and mechs on a bridge. (I died a lot here for some reason. I blame being hungry.)
h. Found Nassana surrounded by guards. She offered Shawna a lot of money. Watched Thane take out everyone with ease. He agreed to help take on the Collectors.

Definitely true. On a non-imported PT where I didn't use Gibbed to modify things, Grunt isn't loyal and dies on Utukku. It was horrible.

OK, this is going to be weird but I started an ME1 PT without wrapping up one for ME3. I have some ME1 backlog I haven't written and a little ME3.
ME3 - Jonathan Shepard:
1. Met with Dr. Garret Bryson to discuss Task Force Aurora, which is investigation into Leviathan, the so-called "Reaper Killer". Unfortunately, he was murdered by his assistant, Derek Hadley, who engaged in behavior that suggested indoctrination. Hadley tried to talk about Leviathan but some outside force shut his brain down - he's not dead, but he is no longer incapable of communication.
ME1 - Jace Shepard, Earthborn, sole survivor, infiltrator. Special note: He's a sort of "transgender" Shepard, which will be evident in some comments.
1. XO of the Normandy SR-1 (the most advanced Alliance ship ever), serving under Captain David Anderson. Went to Eden Prime on an alleged milk run - except for that turian Spectre that was tagging along and following me everywhere. Turns out that Nihlus thought I was Spectre material and wanted to see me in action several times before making a recommendation to the Council.
2. Boots on the ground alongside Staff Lt. Kaidan Alenko and Corporal Richard L. Jenkins. We went in hot after seeing video of an attack by an enormous ship shaped sort of like a grasping hand. This was Jenkins' homeworld and his emotions got the better of him. He ran ahead and was shot down by a drone. Felt bad for the kid by Alenko and I had to press on.
3. Encountered Gunnery Chief Ashley Williams, a marine and the only survivor of her squad. She joined with us and immediately proved herself to be more than capable when we were attacked by the geth, an AI "race" that hadn't been seen in over 200 years. I wondered why she'd be assigned to an agricultural world. She talked about the Prothean beacon we were supposed to retrieve. We went to the site, but it was gone. My Spectre "escort" Nihlus had gone ahead and said he'd check things out.
4. Found the dead body of Nihlus. A dock worker said he'd been shot in the back by another turian named Saren. The worker said he seemed to trust Saren and let his guard down.
5. Fought more geth and disabled bombs meant to blow the beacon.
6. The beacon started to glow green and next thing I notice Alenko is being pulled toward it. I leaped into action and tossed Alenko out of harm's way. I experienced some twisted nightmares before waking up on the Normandy medbay. It was 15 hours later.
7. Against my judgment, Anderson insisted we report what had happened to Ambassador Udina and the Council. Apparently Anderson had crossed paths with Saren and wanted him to be stripped of his Spectre status. Predictably, they didn't believe me or the eyewitness who mentioned Saren BY NAME.
8. Went looking for evidence. Led me to an agent of the Shadow Broker, who turned me on to a krogan merc named Wrex. I also tracked down a turian C-Sec officer named Garrus Vakarian who had been investigating Saren. With them, we headed to Chora's Den to confront Fist, who had information on a quarian may have had information on Saren. Turned out Fist was working for Saren and had set up the quarian. After getting her location from him, Wrex shot him since he'd been hired to do so by the Shadow Broker. Fist had switched sides and the Broker didn't care for it. No loss there.
9. Helped the quarian, Tali'Zorah nar Rayya, though she was in no way helpless. She had recovered a recording or two from a disabled geth that proved Saren was a traitor. We brought it to the Council and Saren was stripped of his status. The turian councilor tried to say humanity wasn't ready to have its own Spectre but I reminded them that a turian Spectre had betrayed them and a human uncovered the truth. In the end, they made me a Spectre.
10. Helped a civilian named Jenna get out of a bad situation doing an undercover op for C-Sec. I retrieved a mod for Detective Chellick. He didn't like the way I did it because I killed Jax and his cronies but I don't want those guys around. Fact is, as a Spectre, I can do this kind of thing with impunity.
11. Straightened out a turian general who had a grudge against an asari consort because he didn't get his way.
12. Udina forcibly "retired" Anderson so that I could have command of the Normandy. I understand why I needed my own crew but wasn't happy with how it happened.
13. Killed some criminal scum on Sharjila.
14. Boots on Therum with Alenko and Wrex. Killed a lot more geth, rescued the daughter of Matriarch Benezia (whose voice could be heard responding to Saren on Tali's recording), and took down some of Saren's followers. Almost died when my creative use of a mining laser reactivated a volcano but Flight Lt. Jeff "Joker" Moreau arrived just in time to save our collective asses.
15. Found the missing marines Admiral Kahoku had been looking for on Edolus. They were all dead next to a fake beacon. It was there to lure victims to a thresher maw, which we killed.
16. Killed some crime lords of Klensal. That should make Helena Blake happy.

I'm not sure I'm totally digging this. My Shep's teeth look way too high res.. some of the armor changes are annoying. Like all the blinking lights on Ash and Kaidan. The best thing I've seen is Anderson looks like his ME3 self. I should have used a more modular mod. At first I just wanted to fix Garrus' face.

Jace Shepard:
1. MSV Ontario - L2 biotics have taken a hostage. Good thing I've got an L2 in my crew. No casualties but I let Chairman Burns know he wasn't doing his job if he didn't know how bad it was for L2's.
2. Planet Trebin - Killed another damned thresher maw. Why couldn't these things stay on Tuchanka? An ExoGeni survey team also found some alien tech that turned them into husks like the ones on Eden Prime. Can't be a coincidence. Wrex and Garrus helped me out on this one. Some scavengers tried to kill me to for a probe they'd found. Worst of it was I couldn't get into the damn thing! Disabled a transmitter that was screwing with GPS.
3. Planet Chohe - Keep finding writings of some ancient asari named Matriarch Dilinaga. Clearly hit the jackpot by finding three in one spot. Don't know what the point of these is but I'm collecting in. At some point, I think I'll switch to model ships. A lot easier to find. Found a science lab but the doors were locked. Another notch in my thresher maw belt. Someone needs to tell the krogan to leave their pets at home.
4. Planet Nonuel - Hackett had asked me to negotiate with someone who called himself "Lord Darius". The guy was just an asshole. I shot him instead. Hackett all but said my Spectre status was a factor here because I couldn't be reprimanded for killing instead of negotiating.
5. Planet Agebinium - Sent to retrieve a probe in turian space that contains a nuclear weapon. Turns out it's in a mine. My Dextro Squad thought it was suspicious and I agree. It didn't end up there by accident. Elanos Haliat, some idiot who "runs" the Terminus Clans, armed the nuke specifically to take me out. He failed to take Elysium and took a major hit to his rep. He figured killing the first human Spectre would help him. I disabled the bomb. Then I tracked him down and shot him in the face, taking out the rest of his merc gang as well.
6. Citadel - Admiral Mikhailovich insisted on an inspection of the Normandy, considering it a waste of money. I told him the same thinking could have held us back years ago in regard to ships and other craft that became indispensable. Accosted by reported Khalisah Al-Jilani. She tried to make me look bad but I wasn't giving her the satisfaction. Really wanted to punch her but there are some things even I can't get away with. Convinced a hannar that he was making them all look bad by illegally preaching and then let the C-Sec officer know he just wasn't up to the task of his job. Helped the asari consort with the turian general and the elcor ambassador. She gave me a strange trinket for my troubles.
6. Planet Eletania - Found a mysterious globe in a Prothean Ruin. It was enormous, made of reflective, shimmering material, and floated in the air once unlocked. That trinket the Consort gave me fit right into a slot on this thing. It was Eden Prime all over again with me finding myself on the ground after a flash of light. It gave me flashbacks to ancient, prehistoric humans and encounters with Protheans. Searched for a downed data probe but some stupid pyjaks stole the data module and I had to search through several pyjak colonies just to recover it. I almost think these things are another krogan export except that they're too docile to have come from Tuchanka.

Hello again. My team and I did board that geth dreadnought, and after fighting a couple of geth and with Admiral Xen's help (she's absolutely nuts, I tell you!) we managed to get inside the drive core. You won't believe what happened there. The Reapers had hooked up a geth in there to broadcast the signal. It reminded me so much of finding poor David back then... Anyway, the geth looked like Legion! Same armor, same "Shepard-Commander". I saw him getting carried away by the Seeker swarms at the Collector base and was confused at first. But this geth claimed he wasn't Legion. He was only some sort of reconstruction of the original Legion. He says he doesn't remember the time with me, and sadly, it seems to be true. After we got him out of there (and were nearly shot down by that stupid Gerrel!!), he came with us aboard the Normandy. The quarians (well, mostly Xen and Gerrel) just can't back off and leave the geth alone. The worst thing is that Hackett ordered me to do everything I can to gain the quarian fleet, which means I have to help take their homeworld back. Maybe I'm able to do something for the geth, to make the quarians see reason, but for now I have to follow my orders. Legion, or not, will be a big help I think. He's just as friendly as my old buddy, so I hope it all plays out well. First we have to find Admiral Koris, who crashed somewhere on Rannoch, and take a look at a geth server Legi the geth mentioned. Pics! Ah, it's been some time since I had a geth-supportive character And it has been very interesting with Not-Legion, some cool dialogue differences there.

I played once with a Not-Legion (but Legion died, I didn't ignore activation). There's parts I liked, where Shep wanted to project his old experiences with Legion at first. It's kind of sad. Garrus and Tali had to make an intervention. lol

Daily log of events!
--Sleeping. I slept a lot this weekend. I hate being sick.
--Rescued Jacob. I always bring Garrus along for that. I once brought EDI, but sadly Jacob didn't have any comments about her.
--Restarted the Kaidan romance.
--Recruited Tali. Took out the Geth Fighter Fleet as well as the geth server quests. I know the latter gets some flack for being boring (nothing but blocks and steps,) but it always worked for me.
--Hit level 50. Specializing in Adrenaline Rush, Cryo Ammo, Fitness and Concussive Shot. I will be switching my bonus power to Geth Shielding once it is unlocked. Thanks to the poster that mentioned it was a good bonus power. I've kept that in mind, I just don't have access to it yet. This is the first time I've played this on console.
--Definitely decided that my next Shep is going to be a biotic. I like Liara, but I find myself using her far more than I would prefer. Singularity is extremely useful, but I found out only a biotic Shep and Liara have access to that ability. My next Shep might be a guy too, but I'm still debating there.
--Saved Din Korlack, reluctantly. It was awesome to see Zaeed again. I'm very happy that I got to see that mod footage that extends the conversation. It's a shame we never get to see it in game without such a program. I've got a theory in my head about ME3 and that's starting to confirm it. I'll share it once I'm done with this run.
--Finally got the last of the fish and ships. Yeah, I know it's about as a useful as tits on a bowl (not a typo,) but I like doing it.
--Warned Miranda about Kai Lang.
--Turned in more quests from planet scanning using my screenshot albums. Apparently I'm missing a total of four star systems out of all of them. I guess they just never got uploaded. I've got all the clusters though. I made my star charts with the PC version of the game, using cheats to completely eliminate Reaper presence and to have one scan complete most star systems. If anyone wants links to the albums, let me know. It's a big time saver.
--Now starting to save up for the Widow. As long as I have my Widow and my AR, I'm in good shape. The Mantis is a good substitute for now.
--Went to the AY Monastery. Saved Falere, and prevented Samara from doing something stupid. Survived those banshees. Unlike David in Overlord, the sound of those things still makes me jump a little.
Next time!
--Back to Rannoch to the Reaper Base. I'm all set up for broker peace between the geth and quarians. Like you guys expected me to do anything different. For those that are wondering, it's possible but takes a little planning to get there. It'll be easy though, won't it? Surely nothing could go wrong. I mean, it's not like Shep thinks she's fighting a Reaper on foot or anything?
--Time to go talk to Dr. Bryson. While the conversation with the Big Guy is neat and all, I love the brainwashed mine workers. So delightfully creepy.
--Scanning! Sidequests!
--Thessia. I guess the asari never learned that pride goes before a fall.
--Maybe time for some shore leave.

(Wave) I spent my day transitioning to Mass Effect 3, basically played through the Earth, Mars, citadel and landed on Palaven.
My enthusiasm for the game has gone down.
I do love the new moves Shepard got, along with the improved melee. I feel it is a huge plus! The new looks of the game are really jaw-dropping pretty, though I was stunned to have my Shepard replaced by some blonde girl. Managed to approximate my Domi Sheparad fast enough though through face customization on imported char, so good stuff.
But the drawbacks (for me) are:
Shepard suddenly started to go into really, really, I mean really long speeches, that have very little to do with the blurb on the wheel. Seriously, I half expected to be married to Kaiden (with grandchildren in the way) in the end of her convoluted monologue in a responce that I thought simply said, "Yes, yes, it's me, chill, Kai". I found the whole prologue very slow and not as gripping as both ME 1 and ME 2. The cutscenes with the little boy were just interminably boring.
I loved planet scanning, I want it back! From what I can see, it is a hybrid system now, but I am yet to find anything using it.
My personal tastes do not run to building Alliances strategy components I saw before in Neverwinter 2 and SWTOR, so I am not thrilled that I will need to do it here.
And for the life of mine I can't figure out the new weapon interface, and where all the guns I seem to unlock go, etc. I'll figure it out, but for now, I want me2 system back.
I am also deathly tired of winning endless battles, but loosing the war. My patience is wearing so thin, that I want to go back and replay as a renegade! i would have much preferred a plot with a conquest than in a spectacular frack up because no-one was listening to my all important Cassandra.

@domi I'm going to warn you now: Galaxy scanning is rather stressful in ME3, at least to me. You don't scan planets, you scan star systems. The problem is that with each time you scan, you'll see a bar on the bottom left that says "Reaper Awareness." The more you scan, the quicker that goes up. Most of the time it fills up quickly. When it does max out, run like hell. The Reapers will start coming after you and if they catch up, it's a game over. What I did was I'd go into a system and scan the right spots. If the Reapers didn't show up (unlikely,) then I'd get the goods and go. If they did, I'd run. Now, if you are close to an area you can send a probe into (say, a planet) and if the Reapers start to show up, they will pause in their tracks while you find fuel/sidequest items. So keep that in mind. Gas is tougher to find this time. Most fuel stations have been destroyed, but there is a few such as the one around Palaven. Going back to the Citadel will automatically top off your fuel tank. You can erase Reaper aggro by doing one of the N7 missions that Samantha Traynor will tell you about, various other side missions or one of the main story missions (always marked as Priority: Planet name.) The quests in the Citadel don't count though. So say you pissed everyone off in the Dis System at the Hades Nexus. Going back to the Citadel and doing the quests that involve you running around there won't drop the aggro. I found that out the hard way, although I haven't gotten a game over from it. Edit: This is the link to my imgur albums. The galaxy maps are down at the bottom. Like I said, I'm missing a few star systems, but I've got most of the rest there. I think I'm missing the Far Rim and the Apien Crest. There's a lot to find out there. The first two albums have several clusters in it. The rest I tried to keep to one or two at the most. There's even pictures of exactly what you get: imgur.com/account/Natashina/albums

Jace Shepard:
1. Planet Eletania - Accidentally ran over a pyjak. At least, I think so. Never saw it or a space monkey corpse. What I do know is that Alenko said "Remind me never to get on your bad side" and Liara said "This is why you humans have such a violent reputation". All crap. They should try driving with no rear windows while trying to back up.
2. Planet Feros - Attacked right on the dock by geth. Colonists are all weird, saying things like "Protect the heart of the colony!" Who does that? Helped the colony in every way possible before heading off on the skyway. (Then had to quit because lack of autosaves + bad driving set me back way too far for me to be able to bother.)

(Ok, this might be better in the "little things" thread but since you were discussing it. Third time around and i've discovered your can hear a little bleep if you run the Normandy over an invisible object, like a fuel or money cache. That might help.)
Jenna somehow got herself locked up for six months (not sure exactly how since i don't have Arrival DLC) and was about to have to explain to the Alliance Admiralty board about the Reapers when...speak of the devil!. Luckily she escaped the general destruction of Vancouver with help from Anderson and Alenko, but then got ordered to go to Mars by Hackett. On Mars she had a bit of an ongoing discussion with Kaidan (i preferred Ash at this point, it seems a little out of character for Kaidan. Ash has always been questioning Shepard's decisions, it's one of the reasons my MShep loved her, but Kaidan?) and then ran into Liara, in a pickle as usual. Anyway, Jenna also ran into TIM, and considering they didn't part on the best of terms she could hardly be surprised when she was attacked by a robot henchwoman. Robot henchwoman then proceeded to duff up Kaidan and Jenna had to rush him off to hospital.
After a brief spot of Cerberus baiting it was off to Menae, Palaven's moon. Where the gang ran into Garrus. This is getting kind of awkward, since Garrus managed to convince me last game to hook up with him, but Kaidan's back, and it's clear that there's still something going on between him and Jenna. However, Garrus is persistent so how Jenna's stuck in some kind of love triangle. I thought she'd broken up with Kaidan, but it's nowhere near as obvious as the Ash/Miranda decision. Jenna's definitely in a romance, i'm just not sure who with, i feel kind of bad for Garrus and Kaidan...Should have made my mind up back in ME1 and left Kaidan on Virmire.... This is going to be interesting. Still enjoying Vanguarding though. I'm not getting Jenna's ass handed to her quite as often as i did Scott (the Infiltrator)'s.

Thanks, folks. Yep, I read about reapers, and tbh, I'd be happy to run into them too, to just be sure that the whole flying around scanning has at least some effect I am sure, I'll get how it works. It's just the whole accepting change and moving on thing.

Daily log of events! --Took care of Rannoch. It always give me a smile to pull of the peace agreement between the quarians and the geth. I love the story, but the crap load of War Assets is pretty nice too. I'm not hurting for it, but it's a nice bonus. It was also rather sad that Legion only has his own personality right before he dies. --Did Leviathan. Now there's a great DLC. I enjoyed hunting through the labs for clues. I took Kaidan and Tali with me to the mines. Liara and Kaidan were around for both getting Ann Bryson and for hitting the ocean planet. My Shep is a little morbid, so I snagged the husk head for her cabin. I almost find Leviathan pitiable. However, they were pretty fucking moronic so I can't feel too bad. Even Cthulu is dumb I guess. --Watched Thessia fall. I took my usual party of Liara and Javik for that one. I found the entire story fasincating and sad. I felt a little bad for Liara for finding out her people's religion and culture was based around a lie. That their religion was more or less made up to cover up some hardcore tech. I don't mind losing Thessia. It made sense for Shep to lose at least one and the Asari government dragged their feet for as long as possible. Yet losing to a Villain Sue with Plot Armor and Uber Cutscence powers still pisses me off. I took out 3 gunships in ME2, two of which with my damn sniper rifle. I'll stop there, since there is an entire thread dedicated to that Final Fantasy reject. --Found a Widow, got it upgraded. I've missed ya baby. Next Time! --Knocking out a quick N7 quest. --Shopping at the Citadel. Not much left to get, but there's a couple of things I could use. --Sanctum. Time to meet an old friend and see the source of her issues. --Taking that shore leave. Who knew a toothbrush would turn Chekhov's Gun? --Party time! Bonus Screenshot. Tali after Legion is gone:

With a bit of free time before the hearing with the Council into the attack on Eden Prime, Karen Shepard decided to try and gather some intel while on the Citadel. Perhaps she would find out something about what Saren was up to, perhaps not, but she figured it was worth a shot.
First up was to introduce herself at the Embassies. The Volus ambassador, Din Korlack, had a pretty poor attitude, but Shepard thought he made some good points about the balance of power amongst the Citadel governments and the relative weakness of the associate members compared to the three Council races. The Volus may not have the most powerful military, but what kind of shape would the Turian war machine be in without the Volus running their economy to pay for it all? Did so much power really need to be concentrated amongst three races?
There were two Elcor representatives as well, ambassador Cayln and a diplomat named Xeltan. Xeltan was complaining about some Asari "Consort" person who had apparently wronged him in some way, but the details were vague so Shepard dropped it.
The station's VI guide, Avina, gave some background info on the political workings of the Citadel governments, the Council and the Spectres. Once again the topic of the associate, or as Avina termed them "lessor" races, came up - Shepard knew she must have looked silly trying debating ethics with a machine, but she felt that some things needed to be said.
She then approached the head of Citadel Security, Executor Pallin, to find out the progress of the investigation into Saren. Pallin refused to give out any information, but did let slip what he really thought about Saren, and the Spectres in general, specifically their lack of accountability. Given everything that had happened, Shepard couldn't really argue.
In the diplomats lounge there were some Alliance recruits discussing this same Asari Consort, named Sha'ira, that Xeltan had mentioned, so Shepard asked the bartender about her. He could only say that she had a lot of influence amongst the diplomats on the Citadel, and that she was very respected. It all seemed a little odd, so Shepard made a mental note to look into it if time permitted.
In the Financial District, Shepard spoke to Barla Von, a Volus banker who spoke very highly of the Citadel, and a Hanar shopkeeper named Delan, who spoke very highly of his own merchandise. Another Avina VI provided history lessons on the Rachni Wars and the Krogan rebellions.
Shepard then stopped in at Sha'ira's, and discovered that the waiting list to see her was months long. It appeared that the Consort had taken notice of her, however, so she was invited into her office. Sha'ira requested Shepard's assistance in dealing with a Turian general named Septimus, who was "spreading lies" about her after a falling out between the two. She thought that a "fellow soldier" could reason with him. Sha'ira's behaviour seemed a little strange, "touchy-feely" one moment and standoffish the next. Maybe that was just her way. Shepard decided to at least meet with Septimus and get his side of the story - given their current situation, a high-ranking Turian office owing them a favour couldn't hurt.
Another Avina terminals provided more info on the Citadel and the Keepers. Kaidan commented on a strange hum emanating from a statue of a mass relay in the Presidium, that made his teeth "tingle". Perhaps there was more to this statue than meets the eye?
It was then time for the hearing, and it didn't go well. Saren denied any involvement in the attack on Eden Prime and attempted to spin it as a smear campaign against him - it turns out he and Anderson had a history. Shepard asked how Saren knew the details of the attack if he supposedly wasn't there (as he claimed); Saren responded that with Nihlus dead the Eden Prime files had been passed on to him. How in the hell a SUSPECT in the murder of a Spectre agent gets access to the victims files is beyond me.
The hearing ended with the Council demanding solid proof against Saren, or the matter would be dropped. Udina appointed Shepard to head the investigation from that point forward - he didn't want the history between Anderson and Saren being used against them again in future. They went over what leads they had, and planned their next move.
Up next - to the Wards

Getting used to the Shepard That Never Shuts Up.
The battle on the Palaven's moon was pretty intense, and by the speed my gal is gaining levels I figure I started the game under levelled. She went seven levels up, to 29 now. The battles are very cool, though I had to run around a fair bit to drop aggro. Felt good to win though, and Turians are very cool, though I am yet to see a mythical female of the species. Garrus is back in the fold, hurray.
Starting to get flashbacks to SWTOR, or more likely SWTOR was flash backing to me3. EDI vs Scorpio, the diplomats hanging on my ship like the little league in the Counsilor's storyline, that sort of things. I was fairily excited for Joker as EDI went skipping down the halls to show off her new bod to him. Ah, BioWare, you do make me care for happy things like that.
Other than that, business as usual. No ETA on the end of the world, but half-a-dozen messages from Citadel to go sort out smallish things. One of the was from Thane though, dunno if I am on my way to get my handsome lizard back or to bury him.
Well, I'll find out tomorrow, and hopefully will start setting up my Reconquista plot. And get the Shepard to stfu.

Auto-dialogue would be my guess. I think after I'm done straining my brain with Talos Principle I might load up ME1 and start a new trilogy run. I could use some brainless shooting after having to think so much.
