Now I'm curious about something. Do most of you convince the Alliance to release Nirali Bhatia's body to Samesh? I always convinced Samesh that Nirali would want to be part of the study in order to save more lives. I figure I'm in the minority, but I've always wondered how much so. Most of my Shep's do get hre released to Samesh yes

Jane Shepard (Vanguard, playthrough 2 of 3):
Landed on Eden Prime. Jenkins died. Nihlus died. Shepard nearly died. Woke back up on the Normandy, ready to see the Citadel.

Karen Shepard didn't really get the opportunity to make any bad decisions today, other than bringing Kaidan "Squishy Noodle" Alenko with her to Noveria, but Ashley glitched. I love how Ashley is already just... done.

Jane Shepard (Vanguard, playthrough 2 of 3): 1. Talked the council about Saren. It went poorly. 2. Talked to some ex-CSec jerk about Garrus. Helped Garrus stop some thugs from threatening Dr. Michel. 3. Tracked down Fist then took him down. Rescued Tali from some goons. 4. Convinced the Alliance to release the body of Nirali Bahtia to her husband Samesh. 5. Talked to the Council again, became a Spectre.
6. Rescued Liara from the Geth in some Prothean ruins.
7. Went to Feros and repelled a Geth attack. 8. Knocked a Geth ship off a building. 9. Incapacitated a bunch of mind-controlled colonists while killing a bunch of mutant zombies. 10. Killed a bunch of mutant zombies and an angry plant.
11. Helped Garrus track down Dr. Saleon. 12. Helped Wrex recover his family armor.
13. Went to Noveria and nearly got into a shootout with port security. 14. Recovered some data for Lorik Quin, then convinced him to testify against Administrator Anoleas. Gianna Parasini now owes me beer. 15. Took the Mako to Peak 15. 16. Repaired the fuel reactor and landlines, then took a tram to Rift Station. 17. Met Captain Ventralis. 18. Went to the Hot Labs to look for Benezia. She was not there. Exterminated a bunch of bugs by activating a neutron purge. 19. Went back to Rift Station, got attacked by Ventralis and his men (Benezia's orders). 20. Finally caught up with Benezia. Got the location of the Mu Relay. Benezia, her Geth, and her Asari goons all died. 21. Let the Queen Bug go free.
22. Took a trip to see sunny Virmire. 23. Passed through all the Geth toll booths and finally met up with the Salarian Infiltration Unit. 24. Talked Wrex down from a fight. 25. Sent Ashley with the Salarians. Sabotaged the Geth a few times to help the Salarians. 26. Found a bunch of indoctrinated Salarians. And more Geth. And Krogan. And husks. And another beacon. 27. Had a less than friendly chat with Sovereign. 28. Planted a bomb. Left Kaidan with the bomb to go get Ashley. 29. Went back to the bomb when Geth showed up. 30. Saren showed up. Kicked Saren's ass. 31. Left in the Normandy to escape the bomb.

Jane Shepard (Vanguard, playthrough 2 of 3): 1. Failed to convince the council to go to Ilos. Udina locked down the Normandy 2. Stole the Normandy with the help of Anderson. Went to Ilos. 3. Spent some time with Kaidan. 4. Landed on Ilos and chased after Saren. 5. Talked with Vigil and obtained a data file. 6. Went through the Conduit back to the Citadel, which was now under attack by Sovereign and the Geth. 7. Followed Saren up to the Council Chambers. 8. Fought with Saren, killed him. 9. Used the data file to open the Citadel. The Alliance fleet saved the Destiny Ascension. 10. Fought with Robo Saren while the Alliance fleet fought Sovereign. 11. Killed Robo Saren and Sovereign was destroyed. 12. Nominated Anderson for the position of human councillor.
Next playthrough for Jane will take longer since I will be doing everything. I doubt I will start it right away. I will probably take a break from the Mass Effect Trilogy (Legendary Edition) play some other games before getting back to the series. I am still playing Mass Effect Andromeda multiplayer most nights.

I don't know how you can make those decisions like killing the Rachni Queen, I just couldn't. I know, it's not easy. At the same time, there are many reasons from Shepard's point of view on the ground to do it. Here, what I think : You've spent hours fighting creatures that are nimble, fast, very aggressive, very powerful. Worse, very smart and cunning, tough and ruthless. Enemies as fierce as they are formidable. The Rachni are capable of sneaking in silence, without any sound, of slipping into any conduit or tunnel to get out here and there and attack by surprise, of spraying deadly acid. They can skewer you with their antennae filled with sharp teeth. You weren't told about this. You saw it, you endured it, which is more intense than words. Above all, there is some crucial information that fall and makes you shiver following the taste of these fights :The Rachni queen can give birth to massive amounts of eggs in a few days, in a few weeks. In a few years, you would already have an army, thousands and thousands, if the queen Rachni laid eggs somewhere, comfortable and quiet, in a corner of the galaxy. An expansion on a scale never known before to humans. Not even Krogans could do at the same pace. After a quick and fierce experience on the battleground, it's easy to imagine what war monsters they would be. How terrible they would be, how terrible an hypothetical war would be against them. You also learn that the little Rachni children have lost their mind, that they are defective. What do we know that the others will not be too ? The queen Rachni, we don't know anything about her either. No time to analyze it, to have tea and discuss hours and hours. There is a difficult choice to be made on the job, quickly, when the threat behind is still not over. The queen Rachni assures you that she will be for peace, but you only have her word in the end, her pleas. In the face of a threat, in front of his possible executioner, anyone is capable of making desperate promises. There can be sincerity as well as there can be a lie. You can decide to believe or not to believe. Sometimes even time also undoes a sincere but momentary speech. How to know, no, how to be sure if in 50 years, this promise would be kept. Many things can happen, many things said to be forgotten. Five minutes of discussion against hours of combat to project yourself on a future that you must protect, knowing that a new war against the Rachni would take place on a galactic scale and would be devastating for the concilian races. There are many rational reasons to favor this choice, several of my Shepard do it, especially my canon one. In truth, all the facts tell you that the Rachni queen must be killed. It is only your guts, or ethics, morals, conscience, or a strong confidence in a given promise that can push you to take that risk. In the end, it all boils down to believing or not believing the queen Rachni's word. We could have had a different storyline in Mass Effect 3 after all. That would have been funny. M3: the new war of the Rachni.

I don't know how you can make those decisions like killing the Rachni Queen, I just couldn't. Simple. Think it like this. The queen is the one who stole your fries when at MacDonald's all those years ago. Now's your chance for revenge. Think of the first time you crushed a c**kroach. It's the same. If you do kill her, you can bring her back to life by doing another playthrough. If you can't, hand the controller/mouse/keyboard over to someone else who will do it for you. Flip a coin. Heads, it dies. Tails, it dies. Very simple.

Although I am still playing and enjoying Andromeda. I started a quick character with the Spacer and Sole Survivor background. I played until I got to the Citadel. I picked the Sentinel class, since I had the most fun with it. I intend to romance Ashley, and only speak to Liara once and then ignore her, because I find her too sweet and I know I'll feel bad turning her down. In my two previous playthroughs I used the Colonist and War Hero background.

In my two previous playthroughs I used the Colonist and War Hero background. There is a funny line of dialog that appears if you visit Liara a lot: Williams starts getting jealous and states she understands if you want to chose Liara as she isn't Alliance. I always go for Ashley and I never get to the point where they are fighting so there is that.

I guess, I'm going to post here my very slow playthrough series ( yes, I haven't much time to play ) since it is ME specifics. I had already finished a very quick playthrough, because I wanted the last armors, weapons, and being able to play on nightmare mode with these. I'm playing a mostly renegade Craig Shepard, with colonist from Mindoir and Torfan as background. : Here his quick story, for more Craig Shepard, from the Mindoir colony, who lost adolescent his family resisting the batarian pirates invading the planet after an artillery blow on his house. The sixteen year old boy himself found by alliance soldiers, lifeless under the smoldering rubble, gun in hand next to his father's torn off hand. His little brother and mother nowhere to be found, their bodies totally wiped out. It's difficult to find peace when your family has been killed. But as harsh as it is, at least you know where they are, that it's over. What if your crush has been also abducted by batarian slavers, and that years after you still have no idea if alive or not, where ? A hole in your heart, powerless, bitter, difficult to move on. Curiously this experience could be also a source of strength. Torfan. Year 2178. The same Craig Shepard, N4 ,second lieutenant at 24 years old, doing his speech before his troops with a cold determination before going into dark tunnels full of entrenched enemies waiting for them. Where noboby else wants to go : << There are rules of engagement. But there is combat. And it is your fucking arse on the risk, not that person who wrote those RoE. Pirates and slavers never respect these, be aware that we are going to fucking hell. If someone shoots at you - even if wearing uniform clearly saying "batarian civilian ice-cream carrier", you don't give a shit- you will shoot back. And you'll be damn well ready to make control shots on everyone lying on the ground, to prevent being shot in back or being grabbed by legs and be exploded by grenade. And if there is no way to secure prisoners or those who surrender, I guess there is high chance you shoot them. Be prepared for that. Because it's them or you and your team. Would you care about some pirate who probably was on Elysium -and even if wasn't - is a pirate or a slaver killing and abducting your fellowmen - or you would care about James Olsen, Corporal, 24, from Idaho, father of two, including one newborn, guy covering your six at this very moment ? And what if pirate you set free won't wait in some dark hall, pick up some gun and shoot yours or Olsen back ? It's okay if it's you, but if Olsen ? What would you say to his widow and their children when they grow up? Would you be able to look at them straight in the eyes ? You have to be strong, you have to dominate, whatever the cost. Remember Elysium. Remember Mindoir. Their cruelty, their savagery, the bloody, chopped, charred corpses they left behind them every single time. There is no middle ground. Your lives come first. Have no mercy if needed . Show them what humans are capable of. Show them the cost of attacking their daughters and sons. Let's go. >> Major Kyle's unit met rather harsh resistance and suffered some losses. When unit advance stalled by batarians, retreated into tunnels, Shepard choose volunteers from his and surrounding units and led them inside. They were cut off by all means (no communication whatsoever, rest of unit remained on top), but they cleared all tunnels, caves and hideouts, illing even those that surrended or prisoners, without choices to secure them. They lost many men because Kyle played chicken and unwilling to send more troops inside, even to evacuate wounded from Shepard's team, though he (Shepard) tried to protect them, always being a spearhead of unit. But close quarters, unknown to Shepard layout, booby traps, grenades, and enemy fire - they all took toll of his unit. At the end, they triggered booby trap and one of Shepard's subordinates pushed him away and shielded Shepard and other two with his body, taking all shrapnel and blast. Remaining two soldiers carried wounded and concussed Shepard to the surface. As for Ashley's jealousy, it's sooo realistic, I've seen and experimented that kind of behavior a lot of time. What I like with that gal in M1, it's that she makes me feel like it's a woman from real life that I can totally stumble upon anywhere on earth. Her way of speaking and interacting with you, her way of flirting, her jealousy, her personality. Cora is like that too in another way. ( if we forget one moment her fanatic love for Asari ) Cora's way of flirting is very realistic too. I immediately thought that it was a woman who wrote her during my first playthrough. I'm especially talking about the minor flirt options. There is also that moment for example where she makes you understand that she wants to have sex with you without being able to speak it out the word, but clearly showing you with acts and body language, that's very girly. Ashley's life, her desires, are so ordinary, that for me that makes her very realistic and appreciable. The content is really very subtle and meaningful at the same time. I love how she fights to get Shepard, even being a little immature ( but who didn't act irrationally for his crush ) criticizing Liara, telling that she has to be sexually immature and awkward to turn him away from her, but is still able to feel sorry for the blue alien when you choose Ashley rather than Liara. She knows that being rejected hurts a lot, especially if you really like someone. The only thing that makes me a little sad with the jealousy scene, it's when Liara states that " of course you are both humans " so it's obvious that I choose Ashley over her. I wish we could have a way to tell her that it has nothing to do with that if that's not the case. The issue that I have with Liara actually, it's that she is quite fangirling. I can appreciate but to a certain degree. She is so sweet, so loyal, so behind Shepard, approving of almost everything he states, not offended even by some bad behavior he could have toward her, that it makes me like her a lot and makes me feel good, yes, but at the same time makes me feel like it's not really realistic, it's too perfect. I mean I haven't met many french girls like that at least. It feels a little too much like fantasy for my taste. I appreciate a little more that romance option with the shadow broker, where she shows another side of her, where she and shepard have some arguments.

There is a funny line of dialog that appears if you visit Liara a lot: Williams starts getting jealous and states she understands if you want to chose Liara as she isn't Alliance. I always go for Ashley and I never get to the point where they are fighting so there is that. In my last playthrough I was romancing Liara and being nice to Ashley, and at a certain point they confronted me and gave me an ultimatum. This scenario reminded me of the first time I played Dragon Age: Origins. I was romancing Morrigan and being friendly to Leliana, and at a certain point they both gave me an ultimatum.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

That is bad, you need to be neutral in the conversations you don't plan to have now, they usually give you a point to cut of the romance before that scene.
