Mark Shepard:
Omega: Helped a quarian get out of a bad deal so he could leave Omega and continue on his pilgrimage.
Decided it was time to find Archangel. Wanted to see what Mordin could do, so brought him along. Also, Zaeed, because he seemed to have a beef with the Blue Suns. Figured he'd fight extra hard when we starting shooting mercs in the back to get to our quarry. Decided on some sabotage. Reconfigured the heavy mech to turn everyone around into a target, starting with the ones who activate it. Then made sure the gunship didn't get repaired.
When I finally made my way to Archangel he removed his helmet. I was shocked as hell to see that it was Garrus Vakarian! This was just what I needed. He had decided that with me dead he would make himself into an unofficial Spectre - taking out bad guys and not caring about the rules. I liked it. But he was in trouble now. We had a hell of a fight on our hands but were able to take out the mercs attacking him. Garrus then decided to join up with us. If was about time I had a friend on the SR-2, someone who fully understood what Cerberus was but also knew why I was working with them. Too bad he took a bad hit from the gunship. Left him pretty badly scarred but he refused to have them fixed.
Normandy SR-2: Had a toast with Dr. Chakwas to be happily drunk. She passed out. Then I used a med bay upgrade to heal my scars. Didn't much care for those red lines. Been flirting with Kelly. Not sure if I'm really into her or if I'm just missing Kaidan. Have to decide before it gets too serious.
Alchera: Went to the crash site of the SR-1. Retrieved the dog tags of the deceased. Found some logs from Pressly showing how he went from anti-alien to trusting those I'd brought on board. That was a good thing. And then there was my helmet. If it was there I can't imagine how I survived. Maybe they removed it when they retrieved my body? It's confusing. Finally, erected a memorial statue in front of the hull. Funny, looking at the SR-1 I realize how small it is compared to the new ship. Still, she served me well, as did its crew.
Citadel: Since I'd retrieved the dog tags and received a message from Hackett thanking me, I figured it was time to stop by the Citadel. Anderson wanted to see me anyway. I also had a potential recruit to meet here. In the interest of not being stupid, I left Miranda and Jacob behind. Zaeed, too, but he's just a hired merc so no harm there. I wanted Garrus for sure and I thought Mordin would be okay. Maybe his former STG status will come in handy.
Recruited master thief Kasumi Goto. She's got a mission that I think I might enjoy.
Humans in charge of C-Sec has already made a difference. Some good and some bad. First, the security for "geth infiltration" is stupid. They stop beings that clearly aren't geth. Second, Captain Bailey - the new head of C-Sec - let me bypass ordinary security measures the change from status from "dead" to "alive" with the press of a button. I like this guy.
Bought some fish. And a space hamster. Plus more model ships.
Went to see Anderson. The new Council refused to see me because I let the prior version die. They assumed I'd always but human interests ahead of the galactic community. Still, he was able to reinstate me Spectre status, especially since it had never been officially revoked following my death.
Helped out another quarian, this time one who was being harassed by a lying volus and speciest member of C-Sec. I set them straight.

And with those endings, that may be the end of my trilogy playtroughs. (Although fraggle's Infiltrator videos got me itching for a shotgun Infiltrator again. But maybe another time.) Haha, yeees, go for it! (And thanks so much for watching!) It's really tough to read the posts here and trying to stay away from ME. I miss it already, but I really want to complete FF15 before I get back into ME. So keep it up in here, folks! I'm living my ME obsession through you guys currently Quick straw poll: PM me if you'd be interested in watching longer, higher-quality gameplay clips. Not full playthroughs, mind, just highlights. No promises, but if people would like to watch me play, I'll consider it.] I'm always up for watching people play! I follow some from the forums here on YT already, so if you feel like it, why not do it. But of course only do it if you really want! Also, props for going through the husk rush at the AI Core, ever since I did it on Insanity for the first time, I always take the Cain with me for that part, it's just so annoying to me

Mark Shepard: One thing that bugs me is the picture of Kaidan on the desk. It's not that I don't want it there so much as I'm disturbed that the Illusive Man knows enough about me to put it there. Just curious: is this headcanon, or did you use a mod to allow a male Shepard to romance Kaidan in ME1? Love your posts, btw; some of the most consistently enjoyable entries in this thread.

Miriam Shepard passed the point of no return... Took the squad out in a shuttle to investigate a plot device while EDI coordinated integration of the IFF into the Normandy's systems. Returned to find the cew abducted by the Collectors; the IFF had been a trap. Only Joker had escaped; holding up well, all things considered. Hand forced by the Collectors; no going back now. Without crew, Normandy is quiet and empty. EDI now in control of ship, shackles released; not an ideal situation, but the only decision Joker could have made. Toured the ship while Joker flew at FTL to the nearest mass relay, spoke to each squadmate. Might not have another opportunity. Checked in with the Illusive Man. Won't ever need to speak with him again soon, one way or another. Encountered huge debris field on far side of Omega-4 relay, a graveyard for countless vessels that attempted the journey over the millennia. Cyclonic shield modulator provided by Tali prevented impacts from debris causing significant damage to the Normandy. "Oculus" drones emerged from debris fields, attacked with particle beams. Silaris armour provided by Jacob prevented significant hull breaches, though one drone did penetrate the hull. Took Mordin and Kasumi down to the cargo bay, destroyed it without difficulty. Located Collector base. Collector cruiser was deployed to intercept Normandy. Thanix cannon provided by Garrus sliced through it like butter. Felt good to avenge the Normandy SR-1 and her crew. Explosion from destruction of cruiser caused Normandy system overloads; Joker performed emergency landing on exterior of Collector base. Analysed EDI's scans of Collector base; plotted a route through to the likely location of the crew. Divided squad into two teams; secondary team to be led by Garrus. Determined requirement for tech specialist to infiltrate through a vent to disable security systems; assigned this task to Kasumi. Gave a rousing speech to the squad before heading out. [In my first playthrough, I tarried too long before launching the suicide mission and lost half the crew. This playthrough fixes that mistake while (deliberately) introducing another.]

Aw, thanks. It's how I roleplay the whole thing. Keeps it fun for me. As for Kaidan, I created a new Shepard for ME2. Then I used the ME2 Gibbed Save Editor to tweak some things from my first save, including forcing a Kaidan romance with my male Shepard. I also set a flag that I completed the game. Then I import that Shepard and I've got Kaidan on the SR1 with me in the pink and white Phoenix armor. Ta da! It's interesting when Genesis gets to the part of who I romanced: Liara or Ashley. It doesn't know what to do and ends right there. As a result, Kaidan appears in the picture frame and will hug me on Horizon when I get there. Sometimes I prefer the "new" romance in ME3 with Kaidan over the modding but this time I decided modding was better.

Sharon was a busy bee today. Curing the Genophage on Tuchanka, fist fighting in the Citadel, brokering peace on Rannoch, trash talking at Thessia and then another fistfight, this time with herself on the Citadel. But the biggest accomplishment was to finally get service at Purgatory's bar. And then passing out after three drinks. You win some, you loose some. --- And today Sharon had some meet ups at the Citadel, visited an Asari Monastery, saved some Cerberus scientists, threw a party, disturbed Sanctuary, did some sidequests, stabbed Kai Leng and Synthesized her way to the end. Stay tuned for/ beware of round two. Longer version inside of the spoilers. Did not remember that Wrex had a meet-up at the bar, so that was a pleasant surprise. Had some nice synergy with the other Meet-ups. First Sharon saw a movie with Tali, a pep-up before the memorial. After the memorial she watched some vids from Thane, had a good cry, goes downstairs and bumps into Kaidan, who sees that his commander is in no shape for a dinner at Apollos and instead cooks her a steak while they drink beer and chat about life.
Then it was time to head out to check that Asari Monastery . Wrecked the two basement Banshees and pulled Samara and her daughter outside. Samara exploited a loop hole in her code to save her daughter, then Sharon shot her dead a few moments later. Great job.
Also checked out those Cerberus scientists. Jacob got out alive, but Gavin suffered some head injuries after learning about his brothers fate. "God be with you commander, he never was with me".
Then it was time to party. It went loud-loud-loud. Saw a lot of new dialog since some of the loudmouths were missing. Shepard did not wake up with Javik, which was nice, but wouldn't have minded horribly if she had. Wrex could have joined as well.
Brain bleach imbued, it was time to continue the story. Sanctuary went well, but Miranda passed away due to lack of intel and infection in her cheek wound. Sharon had a bit of a reverse moment of the awakening in ME2 and promised to keep Ori safe.
Then there was a slight detour to hoard some EMS. Riley, Grace Sato, some peeps on the Citadel,Grunt and the Rachni queen were grateful. Chronos started off on the wrong foot. Had to redo the first section because the ladders didn't drop. Then Sharon refused to charge and was shot down for her insubordination. But once she got to the video rooms, things went back to good.
Jack had a disappointing cameo, almost missed her audio files and she went down before she could do any trash talk. Phantoms have been quite easy during this run, which was handy when it came to Kai Leng. He got a serving of omni blade for his efforts.
Then it was off to Earth. That went well. Managed to get a game over in the control room. Was curious what would happen if I missed the renegade check and was not disappointed by TIM's one liner. One reload later and it was time to jump into Synthesis. Fulfilling Sharon's dream of being inside everyone and making the world a bit more green. Which coincidentally, was her favorite color. Yay.

Karen Shepard, Soldier (Shock Trooper), ME1 NG+:
Feros: ExoGeni Headquarters
Shepard, Tali, and Liara found a way around the geth energy barrier that was blocking the door into ExoGeni HQ, but since it involved dropping down into a tunnel it was, as Liara pointed out, a "one way trip". If they couldn't find a way to disable the barrier, they'd be trapped.
They started looking for clues. They soon found Lizbeth Baynham, and a "friendly fire" incident ensued, as she mistook the Normandy shore party for geth, but Shepard's shields absorbed the damage and there was no harm done. Shepard questioned Lizbeth about what was happening on Feros, and the ExoGeni researcher revealed that the geth were there for something called the Thorian. She claimed that it was just "some sort of plant" and that she didn't know why the geth were interested. She seemed somewhat evasive when asked for details, but she did give Shepard her access card to help escape the facility. She was relieved to hear that her mother had survived the attack and was very anxious to be reunited with her. After dealing with a varren ambush, the ground team made their way into Exogeni's offices to look for more info about about this Thorian creature.
On the second floor, a Krogan Battle-master working for Saren had the same idea - he was attempting to access information from an ExoGeni VI but lacked the appropriate security clearance. Shepard and friends dealt with the battle-master and accessed the VI. Thanks to Lizbeth's access card, Shepard did have clearance and was finally able to learn what was going on. The Thorian had mind control capabilities; that's what both ExoGeni and Saren were interested in. In fact, ExoGeni had deliberately infected the Zhu's Hope colonists with the Thorian's spores in order to study the effects; that's why their behaviour had been so bizarre.
Now that they had the information they needed, they looked for a way to disable the geth energy barrier. They cleared the geth out of the ExoGeni offices, and found Gavin Hossle's data terminal. On an ExoGeni terminal, there was a message about "samples" of some sort being sent to a research facility on Nodacrux in the Maroon Sea cluster; subsequently, all contact was lost with both the transport ship and the outpost. It sounded ominous, so Shepard made note to check it out. They also found intel suggesting that the geth were planning an attack in the Armstrong cluster, and that another log indicating other unspecified "samples" had been provided to a group called Cerberus - the same group Admiral Kahoku had warned about before he went off the grid. Shepard was definitely going to follow up on that.
Eventually, they found a way to send the geth ship that was providing power to the barrier. It was attached to the building, and the found a way to send it crashing to the ground (something Tali in particular seemed to enjoy a great deal). They found Lizbeth, and Shepard forgave her for not disclosing the details of the Thorian and Zhu's Hope. Her personnel records - provided by the ExoGeni VI - had indicated that she was on probation for objecting to the experiment and had been trying to help the colonists. The four got back in the Mako to return to Juliana at the weigh station.
A distress call from Juliana as they approached the hideout indicated that Shepard's instincts about Jeong had been correct. They found him and the ExoGeni security guards holding everyone hostage; now that communications were back up, ExoGeni head office had ordered the colony "purged". Wanting to avoid a bloodbath, Shepard convinced Jeong that there was more value to the company in keeping the colony going - the PR gained from an ExoGeni colony that fought off an alien invasion could pay off in the long run. Jeong decided that profits were more important and stood down, and Shepard, Lizbeth, and Juliana worked out a way to free the colonists from the Thorian's control without killing them - grenades modified with nerve gas would knock them out, giving them time to deal with the Thorian.
The shore party headed back to Zhu's Hope. On arrival, in addition to enthralled colonists they found strange husk-like creatures also doing the Thorian's bidding. They were able to defeat all of the "creepers" and disable all colonists with no fatalities. The entrance to the Thorian's lair was hidden beneath the freighter Borealis. As Shepard approached the controls - the ones Hana Murakami had earlier been guarding so intensely - Fai Dan appeared. The Thorian was attempting to use Fai Dan to stop them, but he resisted and in the end shot himself to avoid attacking. Shepard regretted that she wasn't able to knock him out with a gas grenade in time.
The path to the Thorian was now open, and Shepard and friends prepared to descend into the tunnels beneath Zhu's Hope to try and resolve this matter once and for all.

I am miffed that the game did not let me pick Reave again in ME3 as my bonus power! You can, but only if you unlocked Reave as a bonus power in a previous ME3 playthrough. (Requires an ME2 import or New Game with Kaidan alive, not shooting him during the confrontation with Udina, inviting him back to the Normandy, then talking to him enough times to unlock Reave. I forget which conversation unlocks Reave.)

Broke everything while trying to install Thane mod, so had to reinstall. Used the chance to try multiplayer, died a lot but still had fun.
Then loaded up Michael in ME2 and did Mordin's recruitment mission. Vorcha heads went pop, all the batarians died and the plague was stopped, until it could be redefined to only effect the batarians. Because turians are okay...ish. He also got some sniper rifle upgrades, explored a ship wreck, said hi to Anderson and took the Hammerhead for a test drive. So a pretty good day by his standards

Replaying Virmire with Jace Shepard, Infiltrator:
Virmire: Beaches here are gorgeous. K, Ash and I dropped down in the Mako. Fought through lots of geth to disable the AA Gun Tower that was preventing the Normandy from landing. Then we made our way to the landing site. Joker radioed me to say that the Normandy was grounded for now.
Talked to Captain Kirrahe of the salarian Special Tasks Group. He told us that Saren had found a cure for the genophage and was created a krogan army to fight with him. It would be unstoppable. We decided that the cure had to be stopped. Wrex didn't like it. I had Ashley at the ready as I talked to him. In the end, I convinced him that Saren would simply destroy them as soon as they weren't useful to him anymore. Didn't want to take out Wrex but I would have done so if it became necessary.
Kirrahe wanted one of my crew to go with him while I went into the krogan breeding facility. I sent Kaidan. Took Ash and Wrex with me, since Wrex said he wanted to be there when we faced Saren. We took care of a lot of things that might have caused trouble for Kirrahe and Kaidan. It was when we got to the facility that it got weird. Geth were there, naturally, but there were also some salarians attacking us. I thought back to what Matriarch Benezia said about what Saren had done to her mind. Could he have brainwashed these salarians, too? All the more reason to make sure the few krogan we'd encountered didn't become part of a massive army.
Some salarians in cells confirmed something was happening. Most were babbling but then what talked about hearing whispers which, eventually, he said were commands to get out of the cell and attack us. When I refused he bashed himself against the door. Also came across a krogan doctor (gotta be something unique in the universe) and the husks he was creating.
Found an asari researcher named Rana Thanoptis. She was working for Saren, studying the mind control. She said that the true source of the power was Saren's ship, Sovereign. In fact, her first test subject was the person she'd replaced. That told me what I needed. This Rana had to have been influenced by Sovereign herself. She couldn't be trusted. And even if she wasn't "indoctrinated", she still chose to work for this madman. I put her down.
Found another Prothean beacon. I approached it. Got the same imagery as I did from the one on Eden Prime. It was a shock but didn't take me down. I attribute that to the combined efforts of Liara and Shiala. I hoped maybe it would add to the puzzle but wasn't sure.
As we left, a red hologram appeared before me. Looked strange. Identified itself as Sovereign and indicated it was an ancient being. It was also one of the Reapers rather than a ship used by the Reapers. It claimed to be the pinnacle of evolution while we were mere accidents. It also claimed responsibility for the deaths of the Protheans, nor was it the first time they had done such. Liara had guessed as much. Then the the real shocker. The Protheans weren't behind the mass relay technology at all. The Reapers had created it so that organic life would evolve in predictable ways and so that they could destroy civilizations at their height - which would come about faster if they didn't have to reinvent certain technologies repeatedly. Reached the site where we'd activate the salarian drive core that had been converted into a nuclear bomb. That's when I learned from Kaidan that his team was pinned down at the AA Tower and he wouldn't be able to rendezvous with us. I opted to go after then while Ash finished arming the bomb. Then the worst happened. The geth arrived at the bomb site. Ash decided to activate the bomb. Meanwhile, Kaidan is telling me that he'll be fine and I should go save Ash. Here's my problem: Kaidan is a great officer. There's also something going on between us. Can I really sacrifice him? I know this is exactly the reason why fraternization is against the regs. In the end, I decide I need Kaidan. This is a decision that's going to haunt me no matter what so the best I can do is follow my heart. [FYI, in this particular run, I did the thing where I started with FemShep and then used a console command to change her to BroShep. So what I write is based on what Shepard might feel in-game.]
Once I'd reached the AA Tower and dispatched the geth, Saren arrived. I don't know if he was following me or this was his destination all along but it did make it seem like I'd made the right choice in coming here. We talked for a bit. Saren thought that if organics allied themselves with the Reapers that we could live on, even if just as slaves. But if I understood Sovereign correctly, the Reapers weren't looking for slaves. I'd rather die than be one anyway. Saren also suspected he would eventually be fully indoctrinated but for now his full mental capabilities were needed. Eventually, all that was left was to fight. Saren did get the upper hand until a klaxon distracted him and I was able to get in an upper cut. Then he escaped.
Normandy: The Normandy arrived to take us away. Ash managed to defend the bomb long enough. We saw the explosion clear from space. Kaidan was upset that I chose him over Ash but I outright said there's no other choice I could have made, that I could never leave him behind.
Liara suggested I "embrace eternity" again to see what information was contained in the second beacon. This time she recognized a distress signal that was placed by the Protheans. It was a warning for their own race and any who might follow. Then she pinpointed a place called Ilos as a place where we might find the Conduit. It seemed like, at last, we were getting somewhere. Just wish it hadn't cost Ash her life.
Tried to warn the Council. Predictably, they didn't believe me, believing Saren to be the real threat. Should have hung up on them like last time but I thought they'd be reasonable.
Fastforward to the exterior of the Citadel, post-Ilos.
Citadel: With Saren at the Citadel controls I had no choice but to fight my way to him. Access was limited. K, Liara and I suited up an went outside. We fought lots of geth and krogan making our way there.
The Council chamber was on fire. Killed more geth before making once more facing Saren. He had set the Citadel arms to open so that Sovereign could get access and allow the Reapers to come through to the Citadel - which was a massive relay. We fought it out. Saren ended up falling below, a gigantic piece of glass jutting out of his abdomen. Reaper implants or not there's no way he survived that.
The Council had been aboard the asari Destiny Ascension, which was under attack. Thing is, we needed the Alliance fleet to take on Sovereign and they'd be weak if they fought the geth first. I told them to hold back until they had a shot. It ended up costing the lives of the Council. I don't know if my decision was right but Hackett seemed to agree since he followed my order.
In the aftermath, Udina suggested that the humans seize control. With the Council dead, everyone was looking for leadership, and because of my actions they thought humanity would serve them best. Udina proposed an all human Council. Don't know if it would fly in the end but I was for it. I did suggest Udina be the voice of leadership. He knew how to manipulate his opposition. He might just make it work.

Miriam Shepard stormed the Collector base... Proceeded through the tunnels with Samara and Thane. Received regular updates from Garrus leading the second team and Kasumi in the ventilation shaft. Moderate resistance from Collector drones, including several possessed individuals. Prioritized locating switches to open gates in the vents to allow Kasumi to proceed; used L5n "Charge" ability to target Collectors near the switches. Rendezvoused with Garrus' team and Kasumi. Located Normandy crew and Horizon colonists; witnessed colonists being processed into raw material for construction of new Reaper. Sent Normandy crew back to ship with Tali as escort. Identified path to base control centre via Seeker-infested passage. Nominated Jack to create a biotic sphere through which squad could safely travel; kept Thane and Samara as backup. Nominated Jacob to lead second squad. Fought through moderate resistance from Collector troops, Husks and Scions; employed L5n abilities to neutralize enemies entering biotic sphere; suppressed other enemies using rifle and pistol. Rendezvoused with Jacob's team; no casualties in either squad. Gave a rousing speech to the team, then proceeded to control centre with Miranda and Mordin; rest of team "held the line" to prevent rear attacks from Collectors. Encountered embryonic skeletal human Reaper; destroyed it using M-920 Cain and conventional weapons. Received communication from Illusive Man who recommended a radiation pulse to kill Collectors while keeping base intact. Refused to accept his recommendation: a/ Collector processing of humans is an abomination; b/ Illusive Man cannot be trusted. Illusive Man attempted to order Miranda to overrule decision; Miranda resigned from Cerberus. Returned to Normandy. Spoke again with furious Illusive Man. Cut ties with him and Cerberus. Mission successful. [Incompetent player that I am, I stuffed up the initial part of the mission on my first attempt: missed one of the switches, but reloaded to try again before poor Kasumi cooked. That aside, the endgame wasn't difficult, much easier than the Collector ship, and probably easier than I found it during my first playthrough, though of course I had the advantage of knowing what to expect this time. Not much opportunity for vanguarding apart from for mobility in the first part, though I was playing very cautiously; a more confident and skillful player could no doubt have cranked it up to Insanity and Charged the entire mission It didn't occur to me before, but I guess the ME3MP Justicar's Biotic Sphere power is a reference to the bubble in the Long Walk. I had Jack do that bit because Samara wasn't loyal. Nominated Tali as escort to guarantee her survival; took Mordin to the final battle because a/ he's a bit squishy to hold the line and b/ Incinerate is very useful for killing Harbinger. Took Miranda for her unique dialogue with TIM. After the Reaper was destroyed and the platforms collapsed, it was Miranda whom Shepard had to catch; and then it was Miranda who helped Shepard onto the shuttle at the end. I found that quite fitting given their lack of trust at the beginning of the game; shows how far they've both come. I've left Arrival to be played post-game; I think it fits thematically better that way (it was originally post-game DLC, after all). I won't have an opportunity to play it until after Christmas though.]

Mark Shepard (back from my ME1 interlude):
Bekenstein: Accompanied Kasumi on her mission to steal a graybox that belonged to her former partner Keiji from Donovan Hock. We were supposed to attend a party together but she was denied entry for some reason. Fortunately, a gift to Hock held all of our weapons and armor. For some reason, she chose to hide it in a gold statue of Saren. Twisted sense of humor on that one. Things we did at the party: took down the barrier to Hock's vault, got Hock to give a speech devoted to his ego, killed a few guards, and broke into that damn vault with its DNA and voice lock.
Lots of interesting artwork. The head of the Statue of Liberty, Michelangelo's David, quarian hieroglyphics, a turian ship, a Rachni queen, a creepy monster, a krogan statue, an Egyptian statue, a Prothean statue, and finally the graybox. That's when a hologram of Hock appeared. He blabbered on until I shot one of his statues. That shut him up so we could start fighting and get the hell out. And it was a hell of a fight. Had to even take on Hock himself in a gunship at the end but Kasumi got her graybox.
Normandy SR-2: The graybox was full of Keiji's memories. It also held secrets that, if the Council ever saw them, would implicate the Alliance. The best course of action would be to destroy the graybox but Kasumi was clearly too attached to it. It might compromise her ability to do the mission if I made her give it up so I left her to it.

Karen Shepard, Soldier (Shock Trooper), ME1 NG+:
Feros: The Thorian
Shepard, Tali, and Liara finally met the Thorian. It was not like any plant Shepard had ever seen.
Apparently it was unable to communicate other than through thralls, because an Asari - presumably associated with Saren and Benezia - emerged from the Thorian to conduct negotiations.
The Thorian, via the enthralled Asari, commanded that they to be in awe (and Shepard had to admit, the Thorian was pretty impressive - how often do you meet a giant plant that can pop out asari clones like a Pez dispenser). It explained that it had done business with Saren, agreeing to help the Turian understand the visions from the beacons by giving him the Prothean Cipher (obtained during the time Protheans inhabited the world), in exchange for a promise that the Thorian would be left alone. Unsurprisingly, Saren betrayed the Thorian and ordered the geth to kill it after he had got what he wanted.
Shepard's attempts to avoid further conflict and negotiate for the Cipher and the freedom of the Zhu's Hope colonists failed. Having been betrayed once, however, the Thorian was not interested in making any more deals with "those that scurry". The Asari attacked, along with many "creepers". The team discovered that destroying various organic "nodes" throughout the tunnels would injure and weaken the Thorian. They had to fight through many creepers and Asari commando clones, but they were able to destroy enough of the nodes to cause the Thorian to fall down into a deep chasm, presumably to it's death.
Once the Thorian was eliminated, another of enthralled Asari appeared - this one was not a clone, however, but was a disciple of Benezia who had been handed over to the Thorian by Saren in exchange for the Cipher. The death of the Thorian had freed her. Her name was Shiala. She had used the Asari ability to join minds to give Saren the Prothean Cipher, and offered to do the same for Shepard. Shepard then interrogated her about various topics:
She confirmed that Saren knew Shepard was also after the Conduit and had tried to destroy the Thorian to prevent her from getting the Cipher.
She claimed Benezia had recognized the danger Saren posed to the galaxy, and had joined with him to attempt to steer him down a different path. Shepard hoped this revelation helped Liara, even a little bit. It sounded like her mother wasn't a evil monster after all.
The ship Shepard had encountered on Eden Prime was called Sovereign. It was of unknown origin, and incredibly powerful. More worryingly, it seemed to have the ability to affect people's minds, "indoctrinating" them to follow Saren without question. This was what had happened to Benezia and her followers. Shepard remembered the colonists on Eden Prime, describing how the ship gave off an energy field that "almost made it impossible to think". The thought that this starship could influence strong-willed individuals like a matriarch and her followers into doing Saren's bidding was very troubling.
Shiala stated that she wished to stay on Feros and help the colony recover, to atone for what she had done to them. As far as Shepard was concerned, Shiala's fate was a matter for the Feros colonists and whatever legal system they had. If they were willing to accept Shiala's help, that was fine with her.
After checking in one last time with Arcelia, the Baynhams, Jeong, and the other colonists, the shore party returned to the Normandy. At the debriefing with the crew, Liara suggested that she and Shepard join minds to try and make sense of the visions from the beacon. The Prothean Cypher helped, but it was all still a jumble that they weren't able to understand. Liara speculated that there might be another beacon out there with missing information that would fill in the blanks.
Shepard updated the Council. They were displeased with ExoGeni for hiding the Thorian, and questioned Shepard's decision to devote time to saving the colony, with a reminder that sacrifices were sometimes required if Spectre agents were to keep the galaxy safe. Shepard feared they were right; the revelations about Saren, Sovereign and Benezia gave Shepard a bad feeling about what was coming.

Karen Shepard, Soldier (Shock Trooper), ME1 NG+:
Normandy: Checking in with the crew (post Feros)
Commander Shepard took a few minutes to check in with the crew for their thoughts on the Feros mission (or anything else they had to say).
She overhead a voice-mail from Ashley's sister about her "cute" squad-mate Kaidan. Shepard teased her a little about it, but she claimed not to be interested in the Lieutenant. She's from a big family (three sisters), and is obviously close with all of them, telling Shepard a story about how she once took leave to help a sister who was having some trouble at school. She also revealed she had a spiritual side and enjoyed poetry. There was more to her than meets the eye, it seemed, and Shepard was happy about the friendship that seemed to be developing between them.
Shepard was curious how Wrex had ended up as a mercenary. He revealed that he had once tried to help his people overcome the effects of the genophage, but had been betrayed by his own father, a warlord who wanted to keep fighting other races. That explained whey he gave up and became a merc, and why he was so cynical and pessimistic about his people's future. He mentioned a family heirloom - an old set of armour - that was in the hands of a turian who collected stuff from the Krogan Rebellions. Shepard offered to help retrieve it, wishing she could do more.
Garrus told a story of one of his more interesting - and gruesome - cases at C-Sec. A salarian named Saleon had been running some sort of organ harvesting operation, but had got away. Typical of Garrus, he was angry at the injustice of it, even going so far as to threaten to quit C-Sec over their failure to fire on a ship full of victims Saleon had taken hostage. Shepard offered to help track down Saleon - who was still at large - in hopes that it might calm him down a bit.
Tali had been sleeping better lately, but was concerned about her Pilgrimage and the high expectations that were placed upon her to bring back something extra valuable for the flotilla. She felt she needed something that would help them understand geth evolution and, ultimately, take back their home world. It turned out her father was one of the members of the Admiralty Board, the rulers of the fleet and, by extension, quarian society. She had been under a lot of pressure to excel her whole life, pushed hard by her father and feeling the weight of expectations of having to follow in the footsteps of such an influential figure. Shepard felt for her, but couldn't argue with the results - Tali's exceptional abilities had been invaluable when fighting the geth on Therum and Feros.
Shepard checked up on Liara to make sure she was OK, as the joining of minds following the Feros mission had put a fair amount of strain on her. Liara revealed that she had strong feelings for Shepard, but was unsure if expressing them was appropriate. Shepard suspected it was just a crush, Liara's infatuation having more to do with her link to the the Protheans (via the beacon) than anything else, but she had to admit that she felt something as well. Perhaps the intimacy of the joining of minds was a factor? Regardless, the mission had to come first, but Shepard saw no real harm in seeing if something might develop beyond that.
Finally, Shepard went to get Kaidan's thoughts on the Feros mission, but it soon became clear that he also had romantic feelings. First Liara, now Kaidan - Shepard made a mental note to be a little more careful in future when having friendly chats with the crew, to avoid giving out wrong signals. She let him down as gently as she could, and quickly changed the subject. Kaidan gave some more background about his time at BAaT and the turian instructors Conatix had hired to train the kids, who could be pretty brutal. Kaidan tried to warn Shepard about the consequences of "cutting corners" - obviously something bad had happened during his time at Jump Zero, but he seemed reluctant to get into it further. He didn't have anything to worry about, though; Shepard knew she wasn't always the most "by the book" officer, but she was no loose cannon, either.
A call came in from the Council - the salarian STG had lost contact with one of their teams looking into Saren's activities, and they thought Shepard might want to investigate. Shepard did want to check it out, but there was a lot other things on their plate at the moment, so she hoped if the STG were in trouble they could hold out for a bit longer. They still had geth activities on Noveria to investigate, and the Normandy needed to return to the Citadel to restock its supplies and conduct routine maintenance. Shepard ordered Joker to set course for the station; the crew could get a bit of rest and they could plan their next move.

Got the last of my ME1 minimalist infiltrator posted. He hit Level 50 a few minutes after going through the Conduit onto the Citadel, and finished there.
Have to get to work on the ME2 minimalist Adept stuff, even though I finished the Suicide Mission over the weekend. No one left behind, and Miri's behind not left unwatched.

Michael worked on some dossiers because Benjamin wasn't ready to enter the Lair of the Shadow Broker. First he bailed out a criminal from maximum security facility. It was a new experience, most of his break outs were just some buddies trapped by medical tape, but it was a fun and he might consider an encore later on. The criminal was not to happy to see him, but agreed to join for some inside intel on Cerberus. Michael noted her wishes, then trashed them once they came on board the Normandy. The criminal, or Jack like she called herself, was quick to make friends with the local Cerberus cheerleader. After some threats she scuttled down to the engine room, while Miranda shook her head at Shepard. But the recruitment was on the behest of her precious Illusive man, so Michael just shrugged. Kelly also took note of the new passenger and warned Michael about sleeping with her. Michael wasn't sure he was more amused over someone wanting to sleep with him or that Jack would be interested in a guy like him. Next it was time to take the super biotic on a test drive. Zaeed joined as well, as they headed to Krolus to rescue a Krogan doctor. The mission went well. Michael learned that him and Jack had similar humor, not what he expected, but on the other hand, Hackett had hinted that there were quite a few who wanted Michael in a similar cell after Torfan. Zaeed was not as fun, while he was decent company, he felt a bit too world weary for Michael's taste. They met Rana Thanoptis, who Michael considered shooting in the back as she scuttled off, but figured it would be more interesting if he could do an encore of blowing up the place while she desperately tried to out fly the explosion. He made a valiant effort with a black hole creating gun he found on the ship, but the structure was still standing when they left. They also failed saving the Krogan damsel in distress, but got a tube with a Krogan super soldier instead. No one seemed thrilled about opening the tube, even when Michael suggested they could just went the place. Who would miss a few Cerebus employees? Down to one dossier, it was time to take a break. Michael took Mordin and Jack for a Hammerhead joyride inside a volcano. Since Jack had been hinting about wanting to take a ship for a spin, she got to control the vehicle while Michael controlled the music. She made a comment that his taste in music was the true reason the Collectors attacked the old Normandy. Michael reminded her that he'd worked with Joker for more than a year, so she'd better step her game up. Mordin wondered if his fate was to die in the slowly melting Hammerhead. The Hammerhead did not fall into the lava and explode from the heat. That was something that did definitely not happen twice. Nope, it was all smooth flying and ended with a graceful leap into the Normandy. Not a complete failure in measuring distances and falling through the last gap... After a rather successful joyride it was time to hit Omega to capture themselves an Angel. Jack and Mordin got to keep their places as the boarding team. As they visited Aria for info, her goon Grizz took them aside with a on-the-sly job offer from Aria. Michael accepted, but first went to ask about the Angel. Aria directed them to a merc recruiting office. The merc recruited them with no fuss and didn't seem to upset either when Michael stopped a kid from enlisting by breaking his 50 credit gun. The doctors order, by the way. For some giggles they decided to deal with the Patriarch before going Angel catching. On the way Michael saw Fist and made a mental note to kick his ass later. For now Patriarch would do the ass kicking. While Aria was not amused, she conceded that Patriarch had already been dead for a while, now it was just official. As Michael left after a brief chat, she suggested that he'd find a girl to keep him warm. Michael did not comment, but muttered to himself that his sniper rifle kept him warm enough. Next up there was some Angel catching, but that was subject for another time. TL:DR Michael recruited Jack and Grunts tube, did the Hammerhead volcano mission and prepped for his next session, in which he will probably recruit Archangel, give birth to a Krogan and beat up some Collectors. So, good times for him.

That has happened to me sooooo many times. There's another one too, where you go up a big ramp with rocket drones at the top. First time I played that mission, I was all confident after taking out the drones, only the fall off the edge of the ramp when I got to the end since there was a gap there to jump over.

Karen Shepard, Soldier (Shock Trooper), ME1 NG+:
Citadel
Shepard went to the Citadel embassy to check in with Udina and Anderson. Udina was pleased that the Feros colony was saved, but seemed more concerned with politics and PR than with the suffering of the colonists. As a Spectre Shepard knew she didn't answer to him, but she still regretted snapping at him over it. He was no soldier, after all, and he was just doing his job.
Anderson had no intel about Virmire, he hadn't even heard of it until now; Shepard would have to investigate for herself.
In the Embassy Lounge, Shepard confronted Nassana Dantius about her deception, how she had tricked the Commander into killing her slaver sister. Nassana rationalized her lies as a way to protect her reputation, but Shepard argued that she would have helped anyway if Nassana had been straight with her. Regardless, with Dahlia out of the way it was no longer an issue. Shepard refused Nassana's offer of payment, but accepted an Armali Council license instead. At least the Normandy's requisition officer would get something out of this whole mess.
While shopping for supplies in the wards, they once again ran into Conrad Verner. He had got it into his head that Shepard should appoint him as another Spectre to help stop the attacks on human colonies. Shepard couldn't believe her ears; hero worship was one thing, but this guy was getting ridiculous. As gently as she could, she convinced Conrad that the best way for him to "help" was to stay at home and not stupidly get himself killed. He seemed to come to his senses and went home. Shepard was grateful she'd never have to deal with him again.
During an elevator ride they heard a news broadcast about a dramatic rise in ExoGeni Corp's stock price. Evidently Jeong hadn't wasted any time cashing in on the PR gains from the Normandy's rescue of the Feros colony.
They stopped in a Flux for a little R&R. Tali loved the music and the crowds, but the more introverted Liara was a little uncomfortable. They couldn't stay long anyway - duty called - so after a quick turn on the dance floor they headed back to the docking bay and got ready to resume their mission. No rest for the weary...

Luke got some loving this time around. That is playtime, not kisses, that's for another session. Got the loyalty of Tali, Jacob and Jack, recruited Thane and inched ever closer to the third game. Started with Tali's recruitment mission. Took a few hours, since Luke can't handle the Geth. But in the end, he persevered and Tali and Kal-Reegar lived to fight another day.
With Tali recruited it was time for Jacobs loyalty mission. She and Jacob were the ground team and the team had lovely synergy. Luke stripped the armor, Tali caused some infighting and Jacob pulled the final survivors. Jacob's dad was located and scheduled to be arrested by the Alliance for his actions.
Next up was securing Garrus loyalty. Luke got a bit lost in the Citadel. Resisted a space hamsters charm, learned about the fishing in the local lake, drank a green drink before it killed Garrus and Tali, helped a Quarian in distress and got his spectre status reinstated.
In the end, he and Garrus tracked down the real Fade and beat some information out of him. Garrus then shot Fade in the leg. He did (reluctantly) spare Sidonis, so Luke spared him the "niceness before knives" talk after the mission.
That done, it was Jacks turn. The facility on Pragia was blown up, but the other test subject was spared. Had a small glitch near the end, Luke said yes to letting Jack reminisce, but the scene cut straight to the boom part. Oh well. During Jacks and Miranda's cat fight, Luke sided with Jack. He had enough paragon points to side with both, but he preferred to take sides.
With Miranda's loyalty gone it was time to gain Tali's. Was able to cheat the fight with some cloaking past spawn points, so that mission was pleasantly shorter than usual. I wonder if Grunt might have killed all the Quarians by keeping his guns exposed. Anyways. Tali got a hug and kept her status via Paragon points and some investigating before the mission.
Next up was the recruitment of Thane. That mission went well and the Viper was greatly appreciated. Luke freed all the Salarians and did not toss that one Eclipse member through the window. Because Luke's nice like that. But all the other Eclipses were electrocuted, burned and then shot. Because Luke's weird like that.
Afterwards there was a small trip through the ship to chat. Luke learned that Kelly liked good and bad boys and Jack was not ready for the boy scouts club. He also chatted with Tali and got sassed by Miranda. He then shared some Brandy with Chakwas, toasting for the fallen, before drunkenly stumbling to the Comm room for the Illusive Mans debriefing.
He ended the session at the entrance of the Collector ship, Thane and Grunt guarding his back.

Karen Shepard, Soldier (Shock Trooper), ME1 NG+:
Skyllian Verge: Geth incursions in the Armstrong Cluster
Back when the were dealing with the geth and the Thorian on Feros, Shepard had hacked a geth terminal with information that hinted that the geth were active in in the Armstrong Cluster. Shepard ordered the Normandy to the Gagarin System to investigate. When they arrived, Admiral Hackett contacted Shepard to confirm the geth presence in the cluster, and ask Shepard to deal with it. Hackett and Shepard couldn't figure out what the geth were up to, but they speculated that it may be the prelude to a full scale invasion, and since Shepard had more experience than most fighting geth Hackett thought she was the best suited to take care of it.
Shepard, Tali and Liara eliminated a total of 4 geth outposts, on Rayingri, Antibaar, Casbin, and Maji. Once the Maji outpost was defeated, Tali detected a signal coming from what appeared to be the main geth base in the cluster. Eliminating that should rid the Verge of the geth, so Shepard ordered the Normandy to Solcrum, a the largest moon of Notanban in the Grissom System to search for the base.
The ground team landed on Solcrum and made their way to the source of the geth transmission. They fought their way into the base and defeated all geth forces. Strangely, the geth had been transmitting a recording of mournful quarian music back into geth space on the far side of the Perseus Veil. Shepard couldn't figure out why they would do such a thing, but she grabbed as much intel as she could from a terminal and ordered the squad back to the Normandy.
In Engineering, Shepard gave Tali a copy of the data she had obtained. Tali was looking for information that would help her people understand how the get had evolved over the 300 years since the war, in particular from geth that were not part of Saren's forces. Shepard was worried Tali would leave them now that she had what she needed for her Pilgrimage (she had come to view the quarian a good friend), but Tali assured the Commander that she was committed to helping stop Saren.

I started ME3 again! Femshep, let Kaidan live. Sentinel, Colonist, Ruthless.
I'm playing backwards compatible on the xbox one. I also have ME2, but I didn't feel like playing it again since I played it back in March on PS now. So I'm going in cold. I'm usually a 100% Garrus-mancer who's best bud is Ashley, but I believe I will give the Kaidan romance a try, even though he can drive me nuts.
I just want ME3.
Made it off Mars before I had to do adult responsibilities. Hopefully will get further today.

Mark Shepard:
Korlus: Here to recruit a krogan warlord named Okeer. If I were getting a krogan, I'd want Wrex, but it sounds like he hasn't left Tuchanka in 2 years and he's not accessible. When we landed, it sounded like someone else was trying to create a krogan army. I hope this isn't a replay of Virmire. Place was full of mercs and dead krogan. Then I met a friendly, tank-bred krogan who pointed me in the right direction. After this, it was lots more fighting. The other krogan we encountered were not so friendly. I have to admit, krogan aren't the only ones who like to charge. I do it all the time. Ramming into them with a shockwave is pure fun.
Finally found Okeer. He was standing next to a tank with a krogan in it. He talked for a while. He's not looking to cure the genophage like other krogan. He wants to breed powerful krogan out of the survivors. Unfortunately, his benefactor has turned on him and I have to fight her before he'll join me.

In short terms: Benjamins ME2 run is pretty much finished, unless I decide to squeeze one or two missions in before ME3. Michael was busy, recruited Garrus, Samara and Thane, got Miranda's and Samara's loyalty, had a dinner with Kelly and met Kaidan on Horizon. Benjamin checked off all the stuff on his todo list, but I'm leaving his playthrough open in case I overlooked something. His final missions were the Lair of the Shadow Broker and picking up Tali. The lair went well, Jacob, Liara and Benjamin worked well together and even when Jacob was knocked out, he was still a true bro and kept the incendiary ammo active.Tali's recruitment also went smoothly. Turning those pesky recon drones on the Prime is so satisfying. And watching Jacob pull them into a wall was cool as well. So, maybe final ME2 picture of Benjamin. Better make it special "That was the best you could do?..." Also to quote Garrus: Has Liara always been so blue? ANYWHOS. With Benjamin's run over it was time for Michael in the rotation. He finished recruiting Garrus with Jack and Zaeed. Him and Jack got in a tight spot with the pyro on the left side, since sniping is hard in close quarters. But they pulled through and had a easy time with the right side by using Michael's cloaking talent. Which is opposite of how it normally goes, so that was interesting at least. With Garrus on board is was time for Harby's grand entrance. Michael used Mordin and Jack, since Jack is a riot and if Mordin's cured failed he was going down with Michael. Collectors heads were popped, Scions were sneakily assassinated and the Praetor got to hear some prize curses. Oh and Kaidan came by as well. That was nice. Awkward reunions aside, it was time for some more recruiting. TIM was feeling festive and handed out three dossiers, so it was time to visit Illium. Illium was pretty much reunion center. First Liara got some hugs (she paid the parking fee so Michael was fine with sharing some love), Gianna sneaked in a kiss on the cheek, Shiala did an awkward shoulder touch and Conrad did his usual fawning. Touchy reunions aside it was time to recruit a Justicar. Ground team was Jack and Mordin once more. Mission went well, lot's of dead Asari, the volus got arrested and Thax got an email. Jack was especially mischievous today. Rolling her eyes back, pretending to shoot with finger guns and clipping the camera through her head. And that's why I love her. There was a quick pit stop to save Miranda's sister. Jack tagged along, but she insisted on using finger guns in the opening cutscene. Still, she tossed mercenaries with her shockwave before shooting them in the head with her shotgun, so it was all good. The mission succeeded, Miranda tied up some loose ends from her past life and Oriana was none the wiser. The final mission on Illum was to collect the assassin. Jack and Samara had a grand time, tossing those Eclipse sisters after Michael had stripped them of shields, barriers and/or armor. The reunion with Nassana was short and sweet, but the assassin ruined Michael's attempt to swindle money off her. After a quick visit to fix a radiation shield and a dinner with Kelly, Samara was ready to give Michael her loyality mission. It was a fun one, Michael got to go to a bar, beat up some turians, scare a Krogan and drink some beer. He also found a sexy space vampire who took him home. Luckily, Samara had his back, because even if he managed to keep his mind clear for quite a while, he just wasn't renegade enough. So Samara had to smash the vampires head, like a melon. Alas Mornith, we hardly knew ye. Impressed with Michael's work, TIM has sent out summons in the debriefing room, which Michael will attend in his next session. Until then, bye o/

Mark Shepard:
Korlus (continued): Did as Okeer asked and took out Jedore, her mech and the krogan she'd released. Then EDI told me something bad was happening near Okeer and that I'd better hightail it back to him. Okeer was dead. He didn't know what the Collectors were up to but he did say this krogan in the tank had been created using technology they gave him. The link was tenuous but maybe there was information to be found. Mordin suggested I leave the krogan behind but it made more sense to me to take it. We could study it. If all else failed, it couldn't hurt to have a krogan squadmate. He might not be Wrex but you take what you can get. And he shouldn't have krogan prejudices regarding the genophage.
Normandy SR-2: Miranda objected to the idea of releasing the krogan. I thought it might be fun to see what we had. I wasted no time in heading to the port cargo hold. At this point, even EDI was telling me not to open it, though she cited Cerberus protocol as the primary reason. That made two from the Cerberus crowd opposed. It was a no-brainer that I should open it.
When released, the krogan promptly rammed me into the wall, holding me there. I showed no signs of distress as he talked to me, asking for a name. He named himself "Grunt", something intentionally meaningless but among the last words he'd heard Okeer speak. Then he wanted me to prove my own worth. It turned out his reasons were because the imprint Okeer had placed on him had failed - thought it had not with the other tank-bred krogan. He had a desire to fight but not cause. Hence, he had to make his own and planned to start with me. I told him if he joined me he'd have his fill of battle. He agreed. Once he backed down he was pleasantly surprised to see my Carnifex aimed directly at his abdomen. I wasn't taking any chances with a krogan and I had caught him off-guard.
