My memory fails me again, aren't hearing at the beginning of ME3 are supposed to be about the events of Arrival. Or does it only concern Shepard's involvement with Cerberus? Both, i guess I've never played arrival, but i think if you import a game with a shepard that did then that is explicitly mentioned. Without arrivel its just for "what you've done", presumably meaning the involvement with cerberus.

Yes, if you did Arrival, Shepard is relieved of duty as a result of that because "Batarians!" Otherwise, for consorting with Cerberus, though I believe Anderson's line is the vague "shit you've done" catch-all.

Speaking of arrival, my little visit to batarian space didn't go as smoothly as planned I might have blown up a star system. Don't think the batarians are going to be to happy about that, also the alliance put me on timeout. Before I did that however I did do some Yahg hunting with Liara.
Fast forward six months and Harbinger and the rest of the squids have shown up and started reaping. I went to Mars found some blueprints for a weapon and Ashley got beatup by a robot. Went to the citadel and met the new council which is just as useless as the old one.

So yesterday I rescued a primarch, raided a cerberus lab, woke up a prothean, and saved some biotic kids from cerberus.

So an update on my ME3 playthrough, Krogan can now have babies, saved a councilor, and the Quarians no longer have to be nomads as I got them and the robots to stop quarreling. Also managed to destroy a couple of reapers while doing all that. In the meantime I have been enjoying my new digs on the citadel and have managed to rekindle things between myself and Ash. Now gonna help Aria kick cerberus out of Omega and then see what the Asari councilor wants to discuss. It sounds important.

So...I'm slowly continuing my newest playthrough of the trilogy, I started the second game a few days back
Today I went to the Citadel to get Kasumi, talk to the Council (and getting reinstated as a Spectre) and doing some shopping After that I went to the Normandy crash site, where we ran into Legion (courtesy of the Early Recruitment mission, which reconfigures Legion's recruitment to this area as opposed to the Derelict Reaper one, giving you more time with Legion in your game) Currently I'm on Ilium, where I'll probably recruit either Thane or Samara tomorrow

So I went to Thessia and the reapers just wrecked the place which upset Liara. Found a prothean VI hidden in the temple of Athame while Javik pointed out to Liara how the Protheans have influenced the history of the Asari but she didn't want to accept it. Before we could take the VI and get the info when need from it Kai Leng showed up and we ended up having a chat with Timmy boy that didn't get anywhere. Timmy boy ordered Kai Leng to take the VI and he cheated using a gun ship (funny how I had no problem taking out gunships in ME2, but it was written we would lose to this one). Anywho got back to the Normandy and licked our wounds. Traynor was able to trace where Kai Leng's shuttle went through the relay network and it leads us back to a familiar place in Horizon. Before that though I decided to investigate the mystery of the Leviathan. Long story short after a goose chase around the galaxy I discovered that the Leviathan were responsible for the reapers existing in the first place. Arrogant bastards think they made no mistake but they have joined the war now so it should be useful.

I shutdown sanctuary, threw a party, and destroyed Cerberus. Tomorrow I am heading back to Earth for one final showdown with the reapers, and then I am thinking of making a female spacer war hero vanguard in ME1. That would be a good change of pace from my male earthborn ruthless soldier that I am in the process of wrapping up.

So I went into the final battle not knowing how I would want to end things. I ended up surprising myself when I chose synthesis. I was debating in my head if I wanted to do destroy or control but ended going for green glowey bits. Anywho wrapped that up and then went into ME1 and made Susan Shepard, a female spacer war hero vanguard. Kind of fun flinging around biotics again while mostly using my shotgun. Wrapped up Eden Prime and now I am on the citadel chasing leads.

Seems arrival is the hot topic. Just did it myself..Avoiding the private terminal after horizon like the omega plague just so there isn't a huge gap between the Hackett message and saving Kenson is a b****h. But my OCD demands it must be done. This DLC actually perfectly captures my Shepard to a T. The butcher of torfan doesn't shy away from casualties. Especially batarian ones. And he doesn't lose any sleep over it. He bad.

Finished off ME3 with my canon Femshep, was an interesting experience since I never replayed any Shepard so far So here's the summary. And stuff. And more stuff. Ugh. Hannah's at a point where she takes every help she can get to make the Crucible happen, to rally support against the Reapers. Even batarians and mercenaries. She knows what's at stake and that this is no time for old grudges. The first hurdle after gaining the turian support is getting the krogan on board. She thinks about the offer from the salarian dalatress, but she hasn't decided anything when arriving on Tuchanka because Eve showed her a different side of the krogan and she respects her. But due to Mordin and Hannah previously destroying Maelon's research data, Eve died during the mission. Because of that and in order to also gain salarian support, Hannah pulls out her gun in the heat of the moment, trying to intimidate Mordin into letting it go. When he wouldn't budge, she either had the choice of stopping him or letting him cure the genophage with the dangerous Wreav in charge. Defeated, Hannah shot her old friend in the back, realising she goes to any lengths in order to win this war, doubting herself and her actions, grieving for Mordin back on the Normandy. Funnily enough it is Javik that has the right words for her in this moment and she draws strength from them: she's on a path where morality doesn't matter anymore. She realises the Reapers will demand everything she has to give. Following Liara's lead to an asari monastery, Hannah stops Samara from shooting herself in order to save what little is left of their family, a topic very dear to her heart. On Rannoch, she makes peace between the quarians and the geth, trusting Legion enough to give it a try, and gaining another fleet to fight the Reapers. Towards the end Shepard is tired and exhausted, and she welcomes the shore leave while the Normandy gets ready for the last assault. At this point she has doubts about herself and if she can do what everyone, including herself, expects her to do. Her squadmates are what give her strength during these times and she knows she lets all of them very close, some even too close, but she loves having them around. Her friendship with Liara, Garrus and Tali persists and grows deeper, and after breaking up with Kaidan to focus on the mission ahead they are also able to rekindle their friendship and loyalty. After an initial dislike that EDI took over Dr. Eva's body, Shepard gets used to it and relies on EDI's crucial information, just as before. She doesn't want to judge her and Joker getting closer, so she tries to at least support them. Javik is the one who surprises her the most, actually mirroring many of her thoughts, and she feels strangely connected to him, her distrust of aliens largely overcome at that point. Despite liking James from her time in the brig, it created some tension between him and her when he wants to stay on Earth. After a Renegade-y sparring and both getting a bloody nose in the process, she feels like they've cleared the air, and likes that James has a nickname for her. She's intrigued by his flirting and wants to show him she can play this game, too. She supports him going for N7 and notices they share a lot of opinions, growing really close in the process. She eventually traps herself in their flirting game and is hurt when he rejects her while visiting her in the apartment on the Citadel. And despite knowing that James respects regs and his own fraternization rules way too much, Hannah pursues a one-night stand with him at the party to still her loneliness, but also finally admits to herself that she also did it because she had started to fall for him. However, she also knows she can't allow herself to let those feelings flourish any further and focuses on the mission instead. Together with James and Javik she fights through London and makes a run for the Citadel beam, until James is badly hurt in the process. All she cares for is getting him out alive, calling in the Normandy for evac, jeopardising the mission once again. It breaks her heart to see him reaching out to her, but she has to finish this on her own. Managing to get up to the Citadel, Hannah chose to destroy the Reapers and took a breath in the end. The headcanon part... Hannah is found by survivors on the Citadel and is in a coma for months to recover. After she wakes up, James calls her to see how she is, and shyly confesses that he cares more for her than he ever allowed himself. Both did regret their night together, but neither could forget or let it go. In my headcanon, Hannah told James about her past during their night together. She never has told anyone about her past before and mentions this to James, and he starts wondering how much he actually means to Shepard, and also starts to see how his image of her as the unbreakable commander falls apart, finally seeing her for who she is. A worn down woman at this point that keeps up appearances. And after Shepard's supposed death and the huge relief that she actually did survive, James doesn't hold back anymore. They get together, with James even throwing away his intention to go for N7. Ever since they parted in London, he regretted every day that he chose to listen to his mind instead of following his heart and now he just wants to be with his Lola, both of them resigning from the Alliance to lead a normal life and eventually get married. Well, it's a super sappy ending... I initially wanted to let Hannah die, and the thing with James was supposed to be something physical only after the Kaidan disaster, but a song and its lyrics changed my mind, and from there I just had this urge to let them fall for each other and have a future together. It just happened somehow and I couldn't let go of that idea. I was intrigued by James's holding back during the Citadel DLC (and I had read the scrapped content of what was once a fling with Shepard...), and tried to work out how they could still end up together. I thought they both deserve some happy times after this war Pic spam: Highlights: - Running with James and Javik again, I adore these two, so good - Since I skipped the Omega DLC the first time around with Hannah, it was great to see it play out this time. I used a mix of Paragon and Renegade and Aria had a hard time reading Shepard by the end, it was awesome - The journey from mistrusting aliens to being friends with Garrus, Tali and others is still so rewarding, it was great to see again. And the bonding with Javik, I loooove it! Lows: - Had to do the pull-up challenge again - No more ME for some time, I'm tackling Witcher 3 finally... let's see what all the fuss is about!

ah yes Thessia.... Shepard: No you don't. You sound too emotional that could lead to something bad t'soni: But that's my home. I might be able to help with this artifact. Shepard: Fine. Don't make me regret this. Shepard: You better be callous otherwise you'll end up dead. Shepard: WHAT? NEXT TIME WE GO TO WAR? Are you stupid? Let's finish this one first. What's this about the Alliance providing support? T'soni: I mean..... Shepard You mean you're passing the blame to someone else, namely humans, to avoid facing the fact your pathetic species ****ed up. I suggest you shut your mouth for the rest of the mission Shepard: It might not have happened had you, your species, revealed the artifact earlier Shepard: I see you're back at it again by blaming someone else for your species failure. Face it t'soni. Your species will have a lot to answer for if we win this war. This also could explain why your species has never won a war. As of now, if you say something stupid, I give Javik permission to throw you out the airlock. t'soni: WHAT? You can't be serious Shepard? Shepard: I am. I suggest you be careful what you say.

Went through the Omega relay. Miranda said "we'll bang" and Shepard responded "okay?". Normandy crew lost, but all squad loyal and alive, all in short only the warriors (and Joker) made it. Suicide Mission completed. Reaper intelligence given to Illusive Man.

At least once a year I play the trilogy. This time I'm doing a female Shepard, haven't done a female playthrough in years.
The idea for this one is a paragon Shepard in ME1 that during ME2 becomes jaded and more renegade. Then by ME3 Shepard is fully renegade. I'm going to use a cryo soldier build for ME2/ME3.
Played through Eden Prime, the early Citadel and now I have picked up Liara.

I'm in ME2 now. Today I picked up Garrus and Grunt, did some N7 Missions and a lot of planet scanning.
Something I'm sure I've seen before but I forgot was the mercenary you come across in Grunt's recruitment mission.
Since the Shepard I'm playing was totally paragon in ME1 I don't have much in the renegade points at this part of ME2. I've started turning this Shepard a little more renegade since she hates the fact that the council isn't listening to her still. Thanks to Bioware's design of the paragon/renegade system in ME2 I didn't have enough points for the renegade option with the "wounded" mercenary.
So Shepard told him to say nothing. He does call in to his command post and you get a renegade interrupt to shoot him. I did take the renegade interrupt. Usually I have enough points either way and go with the paragon/renegade dialogue options right before this so that was different.

Completed the suicide mission today. I ended up loosing Mordin, Samara and the crew. Loosing Mordin was annoying since I had been using him a lot this playthrough for his tech powers. I kept Shepard's growing renegade streak going and did not give the crew an escort. The mission comes first.
I did destroy the Collector Base though. This Shepard doesn't trust any organization as they've all turned on her. So it didn't make much sense to hand it over to Cerberus.
I then finished up the two loyalty missions for the surviving crew members that I didn't do, Jack and Thane.
For this playthrough I ended up doing Arrival before the suicide mission.
This Shepard is now ready for import into ME3. Shepard still has more paragon points than renegade, but the reneged points really racked up in ME2.

Completed Priority: Tuchanka and the Citadel coup in ME3. Shepard is really stepping up the jaded renegade actions now that the Reapers are here. She's trying to get everyone she can to fight the Reapers.
I had destroyed the research data in ME2 and did not kill Wrex in ME1. So with Wrex constantly talking about revanchism and Shepard seeing the opportunity to pick up both Salarian and Krogan support for the war effort it made sense to sabotage the genophage cure. I absolutely love the conversations you have after doing this. It's some of my favorite little bits in ME3. Garrus and Shepard are discussing theoretically how trying to pick up Salarian and Krogan support by faking a cure would have worked.
Garrus: "But wiks would never have gone along with it."
Shepard walking away: "No. He wouldn't."
I wasn't sure what the outcome of the confrontation with Kaiden at the council would end up like. Kaiden did stand down and Shepard didn't have to kill him. When he asked about joining the Normandy again though I turned him down. This Shepard doesn't trust him.
Another thing I love in this playthrough is the facial scars. I didn't get the reconstruction surgery. So at the start of ME3 Shepard was pretty much normal looking, but now more and more of her implants are showing. A nice touch I've always liked in ME2/ME3. It also reminds me of ME's KOTOR roots.
