Adam "Tango" Shepard is now halfway through the Tuchanka arc and has also completed the Omega DLC. Being as neutral as possible and taking paragon only when there is no neutral alternative is basically turning out to be very similar to a paragon play through. The only things I'm missing out on are any of the interrupts. I was wondering how the Krogan Team mission would turn out - I thought I might be compelled to ave the Rachni Breeder Surrogate (playing with the non-import file), but it turned out that the top right option of the only two available leaves her. As a result of that one "working out," I haven't "lost" out on any more war assets since my last entry. TMS is now 1956. I do suspect thought that I will be compelled to cure the genophage, even with Wreav in charge and Eve dead (since a non-import file defaults to Maelon's data being destroyed).

So, the final battle in Omega to free Aria (and then clean up the leftovers) is why I never played it on insanity mode before now. I must have had to re-start the fight about 20 times, then - finally - success! I killed all the generators. But then I got cornered by like 3 adjutants and died. Arrrgghhhh!!! So after another half dozen or so re-starts I FINALLY got Aria free and managed to survive the rest of the fight. I may have done a lot of running away at that point to let Aria do most of the clean up. I went full P this time around so she let Petrovsky go after choking him good. Shepard waved a gun in his face just for fun before arresting him.
Now back to normal insanity to recruit some ex-Cerberus scientists. Shepard-seeking grenades, here I come!
PS - Am I the only one who plays as engineer just so I can take the Paragon interrupt while re-routing the power in the mines?
I just finished that final battle on Omega myself. I'm playing on Insanity Mode with an infiltrator and a non-imported file... probably the lowest level I've tried doing that DLC on in Insanity. Surprisingly, the final battles wasn't that bad... but oiy, the one earlier trying to stop the support columns from being blown up! Aria just kept dying on me right off the bat and repeatedly and my poor Shep would just get overwhelmed by mechs or cut down by a turret. I finally got it by getting Aria to follow me really closely (so see stayed alive) and then repeatedly hacking every mech and turret in the place to help take out the other mercs... didn't have a whole lot of time left on the clock though. For the final battle, I did a lot of cloaked kiting around after freeing Aria as well... just figured I get even for the number of times she died in the earlier session. It's amazing though what the different the additional levels made... particularly to her ability to survive. She didn't die even once during that final battle even though I just wasn't helping her out at all. (PS:... and the first thing I did when I got back, was to get into the hospital and buy a stupid Medi-Gel Capacity upgrade. Couldn't believe I had forgotten to do that earlier.) I like the engineer interrupt in the Mines OK... but I don't mind pissing Aria off a bit either. Since I'm not taking any of the interrupts this time round, I'm wondering what happens with an engineer Shep who doesn't take the paragon interrupt? Can he/she still ignore the same sequence of renegade ones... or does it default to killing the civilians?

Ali Shepard travelled to the Maroon Sea Cluster:
1. Intercepted a distress call from a planet. Found some Thorian creepers hanging around on a mountain (or at least a very large hill) and a research base. The research base was inhabited by an Exogeni team that was studying the Thorian creepers obtained from Feros. Seems the creepers went crazy after I killed the Thorian. The head scientist tried to bribe me to let them go, then tried to kill me when I refused. Needless to say, they died. Kinda wish I had Anti-thorian ammo mods, since those creepers take forever to kill.
2. Invested a colony that had gone silent. Soon found out why: they had all been turned into husks. Seems Cerberus (again!) sent them samples of something and they all got turned into husks by those Dragon's Teeth things.
3. Another system, this time I found a ship just floating silently in space. I boarded, only to find it overrun by husks. The logs indicated that the crew found an alien artifact and then they went into Geth territory. Seems the Geth turned them into the husks. I found more of those Dragon's Teeth. Luckily the artifact was not on board or I might have gone crazy, too. Although considering the stuff I've seen lately, I have to wonder if I am not already crazy.

finished ME3
- sabotaged the genophage by shooting Mordin in the back with Wrex in charge. That's not the best part. hahaha - I chose the quarians even though I could've had peace. I couldn't do it. No idea what will happen if the geth uploads the code - Now the best part. You would think Wrex is killed because I sabotaged the cure? hahaha. No. He was at the fob giving his krogan a speech. He even was proud that I united the galaxy to fight the reapers. - I lied. There is actually a better part than the best part. I destroyed the reapers. How cool is that? Awesome. Right? I know.
Now I will get back to my DA2 playthrough.

Wow, themikefest plays the entire game in less than a day, and all I manage is 3 missions.
Disabled the reaper signal on the dreadnought; found Legion in the process.
Rescued Adm. Koris who had rammed an AA gun with this ship and ended up stranded. Tali got the first taste of her home world. Found the Javelin. Not sure I want to give up the Indra though - it's worked well for me all game long.
Entered the geth consensus to disable geth fighters attacking the quarian liveships. Managed to snag a bit of reaper code along the way. Learned a bit more about the original geth/quarian conflict.
Next up: destroying the reaper base (and playing dodge-ball with a big ol' cuttleflish )

Jarec Shepard:
- Got 5/5 Firewalker data...from the ground...and killed a bunch of geth. - Collected more data nodes...from the ground...that kept the Hammerhead freezing...? Slightly baffled. - Went to a Prothean ruin. Evidence of some now-dead indoctrinated scientists. Found a giant, floating sphere like the one on Eletania that gave me visions of visits by the Protheans to Earth in prehistoric times. This one offered nothing new but shrank down to the size of a basketball and was given a place of honor on my coffee table. - Investigated a wrecked merchant freighter. VI-gone-bad was the cause and it was necessary to destroy a lot of mechs.

Anyways I did start the end run mission. Nothing really to report though surprisingly I only died once during the entire thing...actually maybe twice. Felt like a right and proper bad ass running through everything. And then I got shot with the Reaper beam trying to get to the Thanix controls. Next time through I remembered this room on the other side of the missiles in easy range of it so I bunkered down in there and waited for the last thing to engage. It did, just as a Banshee warped into the place, so I ran right to it with Adrenaline Rush and pressed the button while under fire. Oh Video Games, how we love you. I should finish the game tonight all I got left is Maruder Shields and the three Husketeers.

Adam "Tango" Shepard - ME3, non-import file, no blue/red or interrupts being used; taking neutral choices when available and upper right option otherwise.
Well, no surprises... Tango cured the genophage despite Wreav giving him lots of reasons to have reservations about it and Eve dying in the end. Mordin sacrificed himself as Tango just silently let him go fulfill his destiny. Later, he also wound up nonchalantly watching Garrus shoot Ashley. I think it would be possible for her to have survived if this was a ME2 import file where she had been romanced in ME1 and Shepard had stayed loyal in ME2, and Thane or Kirrahe were present; but as it was, I would have had to use a persuasion option to stop it from happening. Oh well, onto Rannoch and, most likely, Tali's suicide (sigh)... I'm anticipating having to allow the Geth VI to start the upload (since I think that is an upper right dialogue choice) and then not be able to use a persuasion option on Admiral Gerrel.

Jarec Shepard:
- Put any end to a crazy VI that was infecting mechs to go on a rampage against organics. - Went to recruit Warlord Okeer. He didn't survive but I got his "son", Grunt, a tank-born krogan. - Went to Horizon to prevent a Collector attack on the colonists. Something called "Harbinger" was very chatty. Lost half the colony. Unpleasant encounter with Kaidan Alenko. - Awakened the krogan from his pod. Named himself Grunt.

Danced the two step with a reaper - died a few times since I'm out of practice. Also needed a couple of tries vs the 3 Primes. I did better when ignoring the Spitfire.
Yelled at the quarians (again) and convinced them to back down. Legion uploaded his pilfered reaper code to the rest of the geth but died in the process.
Got a reactor back up and running (no deaths during this one - yay!)
Scoured the galaxy for more resources, then headed back to the Citadel. Delivered a bunch of stuff, met with Miranda**, met with the asari councilor who finally offered a bit of help, then went over to Bryson's lab to check on Ann. With her help, managed to get a general location for Leviathan. However, both that and the trip to Thessia will have to wait due to shore leave ordered by Hackett.
Didn't do too badly with the solo part at the beginning, though I did run out of ammo in the Suppressor pretty much right off the bat. Died a couple times but on the plus side, when the game reloaded, I had more health. (No, I didn't die on purpose just for that.) I left off after getting back from the casino. Won some quasar games and once at roulette even.
Date night:
**Turns out not getting the email for this meeting wasn't a bug - I was just too impatient. While on the Citadel before heading out to meet with the quarians, Miranda's marker was on the map. Normally I would just go meet with her anyway but I remembered reading somewhere around here that you don't get the email for that last meeting until after the dreadnought mission. I skipped meeting with her then and got the email after returning from the dreadnought.

Miriam Shepard stormed Cerberus HQ... Kai Leng's trail led to unlisted space station orbiting red supergiant in Horsehead Nebula. Attempted to sleep en route, largely unsuccessfully. (Coffee and stims, breakfast of champions). Hackett mobilized fleet to assault Cerberus defence force; Normandy participated in attack while Cortez flew boarding party in by shuttle. Took EDI and Tali. Shuttle came in hot into hangar bay, met expected heavy resistance including Atlas mechs. Neutralized welcoming party. Gained access to station interior by sabotaging hangar launch system, propelling fighter into space station. Proceeded towards central lab to recover Prothean VI. Squadmates proved invaluable: EDI hacking encrypted locks using knowledge of Cerberus protocols; Tali hacking turrets set up by combat engineers. Cerberus troops numerous but largely incompetent, the effects of indoctrination apparent. Found video logs in labs documenting Lazarus project (difficult viewing; grateful to Tali for moral support), EDI's origin (rogue VI from 2183 Luna incident augmented with Reaper tech recovered from Sovereign) and experiments with Reaper implants (including Illusive Man's own augmentation). Lab walls plastered with blood. Found remnants of human-Reaper larva, salvaged from wreckage of Collector base, repurposed as power source. Likely contributing factor to Illusive Man's indoctrination. Entered Illusive Man's inner sanctum, activated Prothean VI. Received communication from Illusive Man; made final attempt to convince him to join war effort, to no avail. Spoke with VI, learned that Citadel is Catalyst. Crucible design altered during some previous cycle to incorporate Citadel for reasons unknown. Also learned that Illusive Man had fled to Citadel, thus revealing its likely purpose to Reapers. Learned that Reapers repositioning Citadel into Earth orbit. Conversation with VI interrupted by Kai Leng. Settled the score with him, a far less formidable opponent without a gunship on his side. Returned to Normandy and reported to Hackett. Allies hand now forced; no alternative but to proceed to Earth and end this, one way or another. Toured the ship for probably final time. Caught Tali and Garrus sharing a tender moment, finally. (Both rather coy, Tali claiming it's just a fling. Don't believe a word of it). Learned from Allers that her home colony, Bekenstein, has been destroyed. Reapers changing tactics, perhaps out of desperation, now exterminating rather than harvesting. This has to end. Now. [Died a couple of times in the hangar scene. I'm always a bit derpy after not playing for a few days, and that scene really is a bit of a trial by fire for an out-of-practice player. No other deaths after that. I managed to resist the temptation to hit the Renegade interrupt during Kai Leng's attempt to stab Shepard in the back purely because I wanted to see what would happen. Having seen it, I can now happily take that interrupt during any and all future playthroughs Talibrations, OTP! Next time, the ending... assuming I can beat Marauder Shields on Insanity...]

Rescued other survivors but left him to his fate. - Found a Prothean beacon. Miriam Shepard broke the cycle... Ordered the Normandy to Earth. Alliance analysts distilled galactic military strength into a number, 7547, estimate that allied forces are as ready as they can possibly be. Seems so arbitrary. Hope it's all enough. Welcomed Hackett aboard Normandy. Received briefing from Anderson (via QEC) and him. Citadel in geosynchronous orbit above London, arms closed, receiving prisoners from surface via conduit beam. Small teams to land in London to destroy Reaper AA towers; then "Hammer" ground forces to land en masse, heading for beam. Anyone who can make it there to board Citadel and attempt to open arms for Crucible to dock. Allied forces -- human, turian, asari, quarian -- arrived via Charon relay. No salarians; had hoped they would come through after all, but evidently not. (Recommend salarians be stripped of Council seat, quarians to replace them). Coordinated attack on Reaper fleet, then departed Normandy via shuttle with Ashley and Javik. London a wreck, under permanent darkness due to atmospheric disturbance caused by conduit beam. Fought through extreme resistance to AA tower location, used M-920 Cain to destroy it. Held position awaiting extraction; used backup Cain to neutralize Banshee. Extracted by shuttle to forward operation base. Toured base, spoke with squad (unwavering to the end; proud of every one of them). Received a memory-exchange from Liara. Used QEC to speak to colleagues at other locations, all bringing their own skills to the war effort. Met up with Wrex, rallying krogan troops. (Recommend Council seat for krogan; recommend Urdnot Bakara, "Eve", as first councillor). Met with Anderson following "Hammer"'s arrival at base. "Hammer" strength already down to approximately 50%. Rallied the squad; selected James and Liara for final push to the beam. Proceeded through "no man's land" in the face of fierce resistance. Radio chatter from other "Hammer" squads painted a bleak picture. Secured Alliance tank armed with Thanix missiles to neutralize Reaper destroyer guarding conduit. Guarded tank from Reaper forces including multiple Brute and Banshee units while EDI computed firing solution. Lured destroyer away from conduit and unleashed Thanix missiles, clearing path to beam. Proceeded towards beam; progress impeded by arrival of Harbinger. Insisted that squad evacuate to Normandy, against Liara's protests. Proceeded alone; took direct hit from Harbinger's main cannon. Hardsuit pulverized; Adas rifle destroyed; bio-amp fried; sustained grievous injuries, but still somehow able to walk (the Lazarus cybernetics' last hurrah, presumably). Scavanged a pistol from the battlefield (Carnifex, old model using fixed heat sink instead of thermal clips, modded with frictionless materials to reduce heat buildup). Staggered to conduit, neutralizing light but persistent resistance. Arrived on Citadel in keeper tunnel piled high with human bodies. Made contact with Anderson who had also made it through. Proceeded through tunnel to control room; met Anderson attempting to open Citadel; interrupted by Illusive Man, corrupted with Reaper implants and radiating dark energy. Unable to move due to Illusive Man's control over dark energy (akin to biotic "Dominate" technique known to be practised by rogue asari). Forced to shoot Anderson, mortally wounding him; unable to resist TIM's control. Attempted to reason with indoctrinated Illusive Man, to no avail; he insisted that he could control the Reapers. Pressed further, admitted he was under their control, took Anderson's pistol, committed suicide. Anderson opened Citadel arms before succumbing to injuries. Crucible did not fire. Communicated with hidden Citadel AI, the Intelligence created by Leviathan race and the true Catalyst. Intelligence confirmed Leviathan story, offered three new solutions to organic-synthetic problem: use Crucible energy to destroy all synthetic life; or control Reapers as TIM had sought to do; or merge organic and synthetic life. So, a choice. One of three ways, this all ends now. And it will end. The galaxy will be safe. ...Miriam Shepard, signing off. [That first section was the most difficult Reaper battle on Insanity so far, they were everywhere. I wondered if they were spawning infinitely, actually. I live fairly close to London and have family there. If this were real, we'd likely all be dead. I have family further afield in England as well who might be safer. Went full Paragon during the rousing speech. I got myself surrounded by baddies on a few occasions due to overly-aggressive vanguarding, this was a much tougher fight than Cerberus HQ. So I changed tactics and used cover and Shockwave a lot more. Got some nice combos going with Liara, including a one-two on a Brute where her Warp simultaneously detonated a fire explosion and primed for a biotic explosion. The missile defence sequence was longer than I remember it being, but also not as tough as I feared it'd be. Glad there were no Ravagers, though the Harvester did kill me once. I took full advantage of my vanguard mobility and constant free barrier recharges; to be honest, I don't know how I'd have done this with any other class. The three Husks and Marauder Shields took about forty minutes of do-overs, and I set the camera sensitivity to "low" to help with aiming. Didn't knock it down from Insanity though, and got my trophy to prove it. And now I can do that part on Casual in any future playthroughs Arguably, I don't really deserve the trophy anyway, considering I cheesed my way through the game using the Adas. During the scenes at the end: - Ashley told Joker "it's time to go";
- Joker, Javik and James were first out of the Normandy on the jungle planet;
- Ashley led the service at the Normandy cenotaph.
I rather enjoyed my replay from beginning to end. And since I won't be flying to Andromeda any time soon, I may as well play the trilogy again ]

What did I do in Mass Effect today?
I tested my mod, quite an experimental one. And it worked like a dream, so that's good.
I also flycammed a lot in the Citadel, never done it before, quite interesting seeing the layout of the place.

Got lost in the Citadel Archives....ok, not really. Discovered a clone with bad armor and a worse attitude. Had to sneak into the Normandy via an escape hatch using Traynor's toothbrush to jiggle the lock. Kicked the clone off the ship - literally - and shot Brooks as she tried to escape. Just another typical day of shore leave.
Plans are in the works for a party but first some one on one time with the crew. Also, gambling, arcade games, and a new plushy toy. Currently running challenges in Armax Arena.
Date night #2:
I missed the second renegade interrupt (the one involving Vega) but in a way that made it better. Shep was so totally into Garrus, she didn't even notice James.
Game notes: I used Wrex and Garrus for the archive portion, then switched out Wrex for Kaidan so I could hear the lines from Garrus about classy places to fight. EDI is normally the one who complains about never getting picked but this time it was Liara. The fight in the cargo bay took me.....uh, several.....attempts. I finally found a good cover spot where nobody bum-rushed me so I was able to concentrate fire on the clone.

Update: I finished all the arena challenges. The last one to find the leak was a toughie. I died about 4 times on the final round (when all the megas come at you) and you have to start all over at the beginning in order to complete it. You really should get more than just a "gold" prize for that one. For the earlier reward I grabbed the Cerberus Spirit Armor. Think it will fool Kai Leng? No more meet-ups at the moment so time to head to Thessia.

Jarec Shepard:
- Helped Jack destroy the Tetlin Facility where she was raised. She put her past behind her with a bullet in the head and a big explosion. - Restored the magnetic shield around a colony that would have died. - Investigated a seemingly disabled Collector ship. It wasn't. It was a trap but we escaped. - Tali was accused of treason. I got her exonerated. Had no idea how satisfying it was to take the Renegade option here. - Rescued a quarian from a wild pack of varren.

Getting close to the end now. Finished Thessia, then stopped off at Ontarom on the way back to Citadel since I didn't want to end the night on a bad note.
All that's left is:
Final Leviathan mission Horizon Citadel meet-ups and party Cronos Earth
Definitely won't finish tomorrow but certainly in the next few days. Not sure what I'm gonna do after that. I thought about doing some MP but I'm worried about folks talking about MEA and spoiling me. I've been doing too good on staying away from spoilers to have it ruined now. So, that's out unless I play solo.
There's not enough time left to do another trilogy run (unless you're themikefest ) so I'm undecided for now on what I'll be playing until MEA drops.

New playthrough! I was going to leave this a week, but couldn't wait If everyone loses interest in this thread after you all depart for Andromeda, I'll quit posting. Melody Shepard: Colonist, Sole Survivor, Infiltrator. Shotgun training taken as bonus. In hindsight, I'm not sure about those eyebrows, they look a bit over-plucked and make her look like Liara in that shot Might change them in ME2. It's a simple face to recreate, not far off the standard Femshep actually: hair obviously different, skin tone one shade darker, smooth complexion, piercing blue eyes, different nose, no makeup, most disfiguring scar I could find (Broshep gets a much better choice of scars). The facial structure and mouth are different too (both set to the far left, IIRC), though they make little visible difference in practice. I'm going to try for a paragade playthrough. Having been raised in the colonies rather than bathed in the values of the Alliance, Melody's morality has a touch of the Wild West about it. Having survived two tragedies, her fight-or-flight instinct is a bit twitchy, and she has underlying abandonment issues. Her approach will be: - courteous but firm with her colleagues;
- friendly with civilians, although no patience with time-wasters (this means you, Verner);
- compassionate towards victims;
- unwilling to compromise with villains; unwilling to grant second chances. (That's "unwilling", not "unable");
- skewing Paragon when making big decisions, though her past experiences may colour some of her choices.
I'm gunning for the Turian Ally and Asari Ally trophies. Between them, Garrus and Liara can cover Decryption, Electronics and First Aid, so I can concentrate on levelling up Melody's weapons, armour, Spectre and reputation talents. I've set the difficulty to Hardcore to see how I get on. No trouble so far, though both my previous ME1 playthroughs were on Normal, so things might get problematic later. It's a bit strange, hearing Miriam's voice coming out of someone else's mouth! But because Melody looks so different, I don't feel like she's the same character, so playing her with somewhat different morality doesn't seem weird. Anyway, here's what she's been up to. I'm going to do these as short lists rather than in-character narrative. Eden Prime: prior to departure, admonished Jenkins for being an action/glory-seeker. Reassured the scientists at the camp, took a firmer line with the smugglers, and yelled at Powell. Sniped the geth where possible; a bit random with an unlevelled SR without Assassination unlocked, but I think this will be fun as the game goes on; sniping geth is very much fun in ME3MP, after all Admonished Kaidan for approaching the beacon, but checked on him and Ashley afterwards to make sure they were holding up okay. Citadel: took a neutral-to-exasperated line with the Council. Recruited Garrus: took all the Renegade dialogue options with Harkin because he deserves it; Fist didn't get to walk away. Welcomed Tali into the squad. Accepted Spectre appointment, returned to Normandy without recruiting Wrex (setting things up for a Wrex-less ME2/ME3 without having to betray him on Virmire). Didn't do any Citadel side-quests, will come back to them after recruiting Liara so they count towards the Asari Ally achievement. Normandy: took the neutral options when giving the rousing pre-departure speech. Toured the ship; got to know the squad. Reassured Garrus that C-Sec regulations won't restrict Spectre work. Admonished Pressly for being an unreconstructed space racist.

From the Personal Logs of Commander Abigail Shepard, currently unassigned, January 1st, 2187.
The War is over. Its hard to believe, after all this time, but the war is over. Its taken me this long to get to writing about this incident, this point, because it happened six months ago. And I am still having trouble putting everything into perspective. And I have been in therapy for most of this time, trying to make sense of it all, and get back into some semblance of shape.
I do not know how long I was in that rubble, a day, a week, months? They tell me it was only 8 days but that is hard to believe.
And we lost a lot. Anderson is dead, my adoptive father. The Geth, EDI, I hope Joker one day forgives me...at least for now they are dead... as well as over 3 billion humans dead, and who knows how many are MIA.
But the Reapers are gone. And repairs are just starting.
Its been a wild four years since Eden Prime. A wild time. I have made friends. I have made sacrifices. But, it does feel good to just sit down after all of this.
The Normandy came back in the other day. The Crucible blew them off course so they just found out themselves. And they were...most happy to see me alive. Especially James. Who knows, maybe we'll do something about that?
I intend on taking my command back as soon as repairs are complete.
But for now, this is Commander Shepard, signing off. So this is it, the end of another MET pt. And while I keep saying it, and keep proving myself wrong, this might be the last, especially the last time I play through all three games at once. It has been, quite the experience. Though maybe now after thirty times through it the shock of the ending is wearing off considering I did not even really tear up or anything. Though it is interesting I did get the reinforced idea the whole end sequence might have been some bizzare dream. It just does not make a lot of sense for Shepard to be waking up on the Citadel like that....but regardless that is far as I am going to comment on the endings this time. As far as the future is concerned, I kind of really tried to think about the games, especially ME 3, and how it would apply to ME 3. And I think it will do juszt fine. I already kind of played my Shepard like Ryder would function a bit of the time, IE three powers, not using squad commands, setting up combos, and trying to be mobile...and it worked...a lot of the time. As for me now I plan on trying to play Kingdoms of Amular for a bit, and ME 3 MP before MEA comes out. So I imagine I will see everyone around the 21st.

I'm similar, though in my case it was ME3MP that conditioned me to play like that. It's why I kept forgetting to Pull Guardian shields away: it wasn't mapped to any of my three buttons, so I forgot it was there I did use squad powers and my other powers from time to time though, when I remembered.

Its kind of funny but I was playing MP like a couple days after it was confirmed their was no 'powers wheel' and I kept trying to pull up the Powers wheel so I could gain a tactical awareness of the situation. Its just funny I never had the problem until MEA announced that there would not be one.

Ali Shepard:
1. I had some free time, so I went and checked out Pinnacle Station. Quite the setup! I played through a scenario (got the top score), then witnessed an asshole Turian accusing a human of cheating and threating to throw him in jail. I doubt the human cheated, so I made a bet with the Turian: I get all the top scores and he leaves the human alone. The Turian agreed to the bet, and even offered to give me one of his weapons if I won.
2. I beat all the high scores. The Turian was salty, but made good on his promise and gave me his sniper rifle (my other guns were better). I don't know how to use it, but I don't care.
3. The tech guy gave me more challenges and I got the top score in those as well. Then Ahern offered me a new challenge: a scenario still under construction, based on a mission he was on during the First Contact War. I upped the stakes: I told him to turn off the safeties. He was hesitant, but agreed, even offering me his retirement home if I won. In retrospect, having the safeties turned off was a bad idea (I could have died!) but I beat the challenge and Ahen gave me his retirement home.
4. I checked out my new home. It looks good.
* * *
I am playing on Insanity. Normally I play Pinnacle Station after I reach level 50 and only drop the difficulty down on Hunt: Volcanic, but I hit it before level 50 this time, and had to drop the difficulty down on most of the Hunt missions and all Time Trial missions. Kind of disappointing I had to do that, but it was late and I wanted to finish Pinnacle Station before I went to bed. Plus I am getting at that point where the credits pile up quickly, so I need somewhere to spend all that money.
